  1. Evernote Mac on Mojave -- Anyone have any version running well? I'm getting closer to being ready to upgrade from macOS Sierra to Mojave. Currently I'm running Evernote 6.11.1 (455059) on macOS 10.12.6. Does anyone have any version of Evernote Mac that runs well on Mojave? If you do, but still have some issues, please list the issues. Thanks.
  2. Hello folks, Evernote for Mac 7.9 is now available for download. You can get it by updating your app or click here. Fixes and Improvements: If you copied something from Evernote to another editor, all the line and paragraph breaks you placed so lovingly would just disappear. Since our parents taught us to play well with others, we fixed that. Printing a note with tables is fun, right? (OK, maybe that’s just us—we’re kind of geeky). It’s not fun when the table borders don’t print. We thought so too, so we fixed it.
  3. Hello Beta testers, Evernote for Mac 7.9 Beta 2 is now available for download. You can get it here. Fixes and Improvements: Fixed an issue where notes with tables would print without table borders. Fixed an issue where copying text from Evernote and pasting it in a third party app or website would remove blank lines. Known issues: Spotlight search in macOS Mojave doesn't work. Text appears fuzzy on non retina displays. Please continue sending us your feedback. Enjoy!
  4. Hi Folks, Evernote for Mac 7.9 Beta 1 is now available for download. You can get it here. Fixes and Improvement: Small improvements to the client. Known issues: Empty lines are eliminated when copying and pasting. Spotlight search in macOS Mojave doesn't work. Text appears fuzzy on non retina displays. Please continue sending us your feedback. Enjoy!
  5. Evernote for Mac 7.8 is now available and you can download it here. New: You told us you love Templates, so we’ve made it even easier for you to use them. Now you can view our gallery of templates—plus any you’ve saved—right inside the app. Just click on the “Template” button when you create a new note to see them all. Oh yeah, you know we’re doin’ our happy dance. FYI, they look great with Dark Mode too.
  6. Many times per day, the "Create a Space" window appears when I Command-Tab to switch back to Evernote. It's crazy-making. I click the back button, but it doesn't go away. The only way to get rid of it is to close the entire window and then do "New Window" from the File menu to start over with my normal Evernote window. I wish I could attach the screen shot, but basically it's the entire Evernote screen. Anyone else seeing this? Is it on a bug list? I'd email Evernote support, but for some reason I can't log in on the site to do so due to our Evernote business account using the Okta verification.
  7. Hey beta testers, Evernote for Mac 7.8 Beta 1 is now available and you can download it here. This update doesn't contain any fixes. We're working on those. This update is focused on the template gallery and dark mode refinements. Improved: Using pre-made templates is now even easier with access to the templates gallery in-app and access to your saved templates Dark mode is now available in the template gallery Try it out and please send us your feedback.
  8. Hey folks, Evernote 7.7 is now available to download. You can get it here. Please continue to share your experience and feedback. Improved: You said you love Dark Mode, so we're polishing it up to make it even better. We made a few tweaks under the hood so you can now type faster than ever. We've made it easier to see if something isn't right when creating notebooks. We don't like error messages any more than you, but wouldn't you rather know? So, you like centering text? We brought back the keyboard shortcut to make it easier for you. Now when you export notes as a backup, it won't include the ones in the trash. Because you probably trashed them for a reason, right? Fixed: We took care of a few annoying issues with Dark Mode. Known issues: Spotlight search not working for Mojave users Text appears fuzzy on non retina displays.
  9. Hey Folks, Evernote 7.7 Beta 1 is now available for download. Get it here! Fixed and Improved: Fixed an issue where notes and resources with long titles would fail HTML export Fixed an issue where using macOS's share extension to create a note would create a duplicate note Fixed an issue where business notebooks would remain in the Evernote account after leaving a business Improved performance for larger accounts Fixed an issue exporting local notes Miscellaneous crash fixes including crashes during annotation Miscellaneous UI fixes and improvements. Known issues: Spotlight search is not working for Mojave users. Search highlight doesn't scroll with the note. Text appears fuzzy for non retina displays. Please know we're working on fixing these issues above. Thanks again for your help reporting bugs.
  10. Hey Folks, Evernote for Mac 7.6 is here, and we're happy to announce Dark Mode moving forward. More information can be read here. Improvements and fixes: Dark Mode Accessibility fixes Many crash fixes Known issues: Spotlight search results are not populating for Mojave users Special thanks to all our Beta testers for helping us catch and squash bugs. 11. The Notes/Reminder toolbar takes up space. I'd like the option to turn it off.

Please keep the feedback coming our way. Enjoy! 7.6 Beta 2 Improvements: Dark Mode refinement in many areas of the application Note canvas enables dark mode automatically based on System Preferences settings, but you still have the option to overwrite it in Evernote's preferences. Now you can export notes again by dragging them out of the note list. Known issues: Title field is showing a darker shade background color for Mojave users in light mode. Contextual menu shows "EnApplicationServiceMenuItemTitle" instead of "Add to Evernote" Quick switcher still needs some dark mode tweaks

DARK MODE is here If you are on macOS Mojave, you will be able to enable Dark Mode. There is a known issue with Drag and Drop, but it will be fixed in the next Beta build. To download the beta, go HERE
  15. We need support for links like "things:///show?id=" to improve integration with other productivity applications. As it stands, Evernote Mac can't link those even using CMD-K.
  16. A recent update moved icons from the header bar. Users want the choice of which icons appear. This is currently a feature on the Windows platform
  17. v7.5 introduced a clean header bar with action items moved to the ... more menu Icons only appear if they're active for the note The Share button was left in the header bar. Please move it to the ... more menu We should only see share icons if the note is shared The Note Details button was moved to the ... more menu. Please move it back to the header bar since it's active for all notes.
  18. Improvements: * We’ve cleaned up the More Options menu (“…”) so it’s easier to find the actions you use most. * To make upgrading effortless, we added a button to the toolbar. We promise it won’t bite, but don’t worry, you can always remove it if you’d prefer. * Since we recently changed our appearance (does this color make our sidebar look big?), we tweaked our background colors to match. Fixes: * We fixed a problem where you wouldn’t see a note snippet if the note hadn’t synced properly. * If you had more than one line of text highlighted when you tried to remove a link, all the links in the note would disappear. We’ll admit, that was taking things too far. * Now and then, loading web views would cause a crash, but we fixed that. * Sometimes, annotating a PDF would cause a crash, which was a big fail. * The app would sometimes crash when checking for updates. Since updates are healthy, we put a stop to that. * Pasting into a numbered or bulleted list would remove the list text between any images. This was less than ideal, but on the bright side, we fixed it. * The app was forgetting your Shared with Me column widths after you closed it, which is probably not what you expected. * Shared notebooks weren’t showing up in your Shared with Me list. And notebooks deserve love too. * Triple-clicking one line of copy pasted in front of text on another line would break the list. But that’s a thing of the past. * If you added Japanese characters to a bulleted list, the formatting would look weird, which was unfortunate. * If you had 2-byte characters in a table (for example, Chinese or Japanese characters), adding a bullet point would break the table. And only WWE wrestlers should be allowed to break tables. * Underlining couldn’t be removed from text in a table, which wasn’t helpful. * Turning bold text off then pasting something into a list would turn bold back on. We really like bold, but that’s taking things too far. * If you pasted bulleted lists separated by paragraphs from Word into Evernote, the gaps would disappear. You could say it was a big mess. * Pasting data from Excel into Evernote needed a table upgrade, but there was no way for you to do it. That was an embarrassing oversight on our part. * Pasting text into Evernote from a coding text editor messed up the formatting, but it should be smooth sailing now. * Occasionally, changes you made to a note, including moving it to a different notebook, wouldn’t sync. Things should be back to normal now though. * Occasionally, dragging a note from a space to the trash folder would cause the app to crash, but that’s no more.
  19. I put a lot of photos in my Evernote Notes and would like to move all of them to my Mac photos or Mac pictures. Can this be done? If so please send directions. Thank you.
  20. Hi Folks - Evernote for Mac 7.5 Beta 2 is now available. It has many bug fixes we've been queuing up after our re-brand. You can download the version here or check for updates (make sure you're opted into Betas.) Let us know if you have any feedback on this version or questions on the brand updates from 7.4. 21. I had a frustrating experience attaching a large PDF, where it defaulted to inline and moved my viewport of the note away from the area I was looking at beforehand; it wasn't immediately clear how to shrink the enormous PDF down to an 'attachment'. I scrolled (slowly) to the bottom and the top, clicked each icon at the top of the PDF (because tooltips weren't instantly visible on hover, I assumed there were no tooltips), without success. I then right clicked but failed to see 'View as attachment', probably in anger. At that point I threw my computer at the TV; no, not really. It's also worth noting that the inline large PDF made the user interface slow, which further added to the negative experience. I probably have higher performance expectations than the electron-app generation, though. Ultimately I discovered the 'View as attachment' in the right click menu, and also the default setting in preferences. However, I can't help but feel that a better experience would be to include an obvious icon to shrink it, which would have to see more common usage than the save as, quick look or annotate buttons combined. Additionally, I can't imagine why anyone would want to include large PDF's in-line as part of a larger note including other content, so surely it would be sensible not to inline PDF's larger than X pages by default. This occurred on the mac version, however, I believe it is also relevant to the Windows version, maybe others.
  22. Hi guys:) Where can I download Evernote for OS X EL CAPITAN 10.11.6? I find only for 10.12 Thank you!
  23. Evernote 7.4 on macOS 10.13.6 ... I've been using Evernote for over 10 years. Something broke with Search in the latest upgrade. I type in a keyword, and Search says "No notes found." But I know there ARE notes with that keyword. I'm attaching a screenshot with an example. I typed "tahini dressing," and at the top it says: Found notes with rosemary tahini dressing, white bean kale salad with tahini dressing, roasted carrot lentil salad with tahini dressing and curry-roasted fennel salad with rosemary tahini dressing but in the note list area, it says "No notes found." Even when I click on one of the "found notes" result, I still get "No notes found."
  24. Hi Folks - Evernote for Mac 7.5 Beta 1 is now available. It has many bug fixes we've been queuing up after our re-brand. You can download the version here or check for updates (make sure you're opted into Betas.) Let us know if you have any feedback on this version or questions on the brand updates from 7.4. Thanks, Chantal and the rest of the Mac Team Version 7.5 Beta 1 Fixed: Note snippet doesn't show when note is dirty or fails to sync. Link > Remove removes all links from note when more than one line is selected. An intermittent crash when loading web views. App crash dragging note from Space to Trash. Intermittent app crash when checking for updates. The column widths on "Share with me" were not remembered if close then re-launching app. Pasting into numbered/bullet list removes list text between images. Inputting Japanese characters: Unexpected converting/determining when user inputs Japanese characters on bullet point list. Lists: Triple click of one line copy pasted in front of text on another line breaks list. With 2byte characters in a table, table is broken after adding a bullet point within cell. Underlined text formatting cannot be removed in table. Bold turning back on with paste after being turned off in list. Bullet lists separated by paragraphs in Word are grouped together after pasted into Evernote. Turning off bold after pressing spacebar - then paste and match style - turns bold back on. Pasting from Excel into Evernote, requires table upgrade but UI is missing. Pasted text in Evernote from external coding text editor alters formatting. Updated: Cleaned up the Note header UI by consolidating actions in the ... menu. Updated the upgrade placement on Mac. You can remove it by customizing the top toolbar if you wish. Updated the background of the Note List to align with our new brand colors.
  25. [Edit 8/6: we've released a hotfix to version 7.3 which addresses an issue we noticed with some shared notes not loading if you're a business user. Link below has been updated, and you can check updates for the latest.] Hi Folks - Version 7.3 is now generally available. Please download it here, or check for updates. We'll be ramping up distribution slowly - look for the same update in the App Store in a week or so. The team's really excited about all the improvements we've loaded up in this release including many bug fixes and the added the ability to quickly access your shared content via our new "Shared with Me" view. Thanks, Chantal and the rest of the Mac Team ----------------------- Version 7.3 New: Now there’s one easy place to find everything that’s been shared with you, including notes and notebooks. It’s a new feature called “Shared with Me,” and it’s in the sidebar below “Notebooks.” We think you’ll love it. Improved: We’ve made some improvements to search and you can now sort by relevance, so you can see the things that are... well, more relevant to what you’re looking for. We tweaked the way notebooks are highlighted in the sidebar when you open them, to make it easier for you to navigate. You can now use a forward slash when renaming your attachments. It’s the little things, right? Fixed: The “Go To Mac Forum...” link in the Preferences menu didn’t actually take you where you wanted to go. But we stopped and asked for directions so now you’re on the right path. If you dragged an image to your desktop, it would show up as a text file instead. Your pics deserve better, so we cleared that up. Tags used to be case insensitive, so you couldn’t create a lowercase tag if the same tag existed as uppercase. But we sent them to sensitivity training and now you can have it both ways. We’re doing a better job of remembering your settings when you close the app. In particular, the note list column and expanded card view will now stay just the way you like them. Now and then, you wouldn’t be able to expand or collapse items in the sidebar, which was kind of embarrassing. Somehow, tags weren’t appearing in your side list view. But we sorted it out. Previously you couldn’t drag notes or notebooks to the very bottom of your shortcuts list. Now you can put them wherever you like. Annotating an image would scale it back to its original size. You probably zoomed in for a reason, though, so we changed that. Sometimes the app would crash right after you installed it. Since you only get one chance to make a great first impression, we fixed that. Dragging and dropping a notebook could sometimes cause a crash. “Drag and crash” isn’t as much fun, but it’s all good now. We’ve also fixed a few specific issues that might have caused the app to crash, like interacting with the Formatting preferences pane and the Font selection panel, or using a saved search. But that’s all in the past.
