Team - First, I want to apologize if there is another thread about this topic. A few days ago I tried opening Evernote's app on my MacBook Pro when it crashed. The logo disappeared and it turned into the App "engine" (I think that what's called) image. Then, I tried downloading the app many times but it is broken. I will add screenshots to show the issue. Any help with this will be deeply appreciated. Thanks! -
Hello, yesterday I upgraded to Evernote 7.0.2 on macOS High Sierra 10.13.3. This morning, I opened up my computer and the Evernote search bar wouldn't work. I realized that no matter what I click on in the main window, nothing happens. It's frozen, I can't click anything to search notes, create new notes, or select notes or shortcuts. Things that do work: the Evernote menu bar and keyboard shortcuts work (new note, etc.). The notes that were already open work fine, too. But I can't access anything through the main window. I tried to sign in to be able to post here, using Firefox latest browser 58.0.2 on a Macbook Pro. I kept getting this error: However, using Chrome and the same password, I was able to sign in. -
Given that I've just performed a search in Evernote which has yielded no results When I clear the search thing from the text box and press enter Then the side list view items remain hidden, but are still clickable (see attachment). I've just noticed this behaviour, which only happens if the search string yields no results. Clicking on 'Clear' also doesn't show any items in the side list view. However, as I mentioned, I'm still able to click into the blank space and have the note contents appear on the right, as illustrated. This is happening in Version 7.0.2 -
I just updated to the newest version per the update message that came up upon launching Evernote. I can type text as normal, but as soon as I click the "make bullet" button, any text after that automatically becomes a "bold" font and I have to change it back, does anyone else notice this is happening too? It's really annoying to have to keep going back and manually adjusting the fonts to what I want them to be, I don't need Evernote, like Apple now, to do what it thinks I want to do, if I want a change, I'll manually do it, so frustrating all these "auto" features. I'm using Evernote 7.0.2 and with the new version when I select a notebook in my shortcuts, the highlight will immediately jump down to "All Notes". Clicking on the same notebook title a second time keeps the that notebook highlighted. It's a fairly minor issue, but it is very convenient to be able to glance at the sidebar and see which notebook you are in. This same issue does not occur when clicking on a notebook in the "Notebooks" list in the sidebar. It will stay highlighted after selecting it. Thanks! -
Hi everybody, what you think about editing of notes saved by WebClipper? Do we need better formatter or more options to adjust small/big mistakes that Clipper makes? Do you need more possibilities to change clipped background or something similar? Please write your opinions and suggestions here -
Hello Everyone! I have an issue in scrolling my notes on my Mac Application, it does not scroll smoothly and it seems too laggy! in typing and writing notes everything is great but in scrolling pages and notes and application it's not ok! I run macOS high sierra and my MacBook has great hardware so it seems it's not a hardware issue. any suggestion would be appreciated. -
Several ongoing editing bugs stem from one more fundamental problem I believe. Each has been discussed separately, but never fully resolved, so I'm making one post to draw attention to the bigger problem. Hello, I am a relatively new Evernote user (about 1 year of actual usage) and this question (or a very similar question) may have been asked before, but I just want to be sure. Would downgrading EverNote to version 6.11.1 cause any significant issues with my Evernote account or contents? I do not use a lot of advanced EverNote features or features added/modified since 6.11.1 (as far as I am aware). The main reasons for my downgrading are: 1. I am not a fan of the new single Notebook view (i.e. the single column long list). 2. I prefer the UI of 6.11.1 versus the later versi -
Odd issue happening here. Evernote crashes, not on opening or while I'm using it, but when I shut it down. It crashes EVERY time. Also, I've written an Applescript to resize my window and that causes it to crash as well. Any ideas? I've tried deleting the pref file. Then the pref file and the helper pref. Then I've uninstalled EVERYTHING, reinstalled a fresh copy (I use the version from the website, not the apple store) re-downloaded all my files... and it crashed when I shut down. I'm out of ideas. Please advise.

There is a bug in the Note list. Whet Snipped view is selected after using Mission control – list became corrupted. Steps to reproduce: Open Evernote. Select "Snipped" list view; Use Mission Control Gesture; Select Another Application Use Mission Control Gesture again Result: Note list is corrupted. -
Hi I have this problem recently when updating evernote, I used to use Quick Note to paste the images to note what I see on screen, recently those images I pasted all become icon , not showing as a image. It's strange those image icon showing that they are TIFF type, not png or jpg. I really need them to be shown as images, and not a icon with a view button, because it is not so easy to recognize what you have noted at that time. please let it be back to the old showing style if you could, thanks a lot~ -
I have over 300 notes that I had in Mac’s Address Book, and a friend helped me massage and clean up, finally getting them into Apple’s spreadsheet program, Numbers. Figured that was the end of the hassle: I’d exported data from Excel using CSV probably a half-dozen times since 1992 into various environments and programs for data storage, for mailing lists, mostly. But wrong: Number records don’t export directly - 2nd tier Apple support confirmed this. So how do I get these 300+ notes into Evernote? Please help me. I was just using Evernote on my mac, and midway through editing a note my whole Evernote just vanished. My shortcuts, my notebooks, my notes, everything. I restarted Evernote. Exactly the same thing. I rebooted my mac. Exactly the same thing. All that is there is the one note I was working on when it happened. I've noticed since the last update the search function in Evernote for Mac desktop has not been as robust. If I search "books" in the app, I get 16 results. I get 27 results if I use Evernote web or mobile. Did the update change something with the algorithm? -
I have a couple of questions regarding the Encrypted notes. Would greatly appreciate if anyone has the solution for these 2 issues: 1- I am wondering if there is a way to decrypt an encrypted note, for which you've lost/forgotten the password for it? 2-I've noticed that whenever I am working inside an encrypted note, I can not make use of the Numbered List (1,2,3,...), or the bullet points. Hi, There's a small flaw in the encryption set up: if someone ever got into your account, he/she could erase the entirety of your encrypted information with one click (I just did it accidentally). If the content is encrypted, the contents should not be able to be erased without the password. Thanks.

I'm a huge user of keyboard commands in Evernote and just noticed Option-Command-F (search notes keyboard command) is no longer working in the Mac desktop application. I know you can use the mouse and click in the field, however, I'm using this command for automation purposes and it's kind of a big deal when it breaks my macros. The little elephant icon on the apple toolbar (NOT EVERNOTE WEB CLIPPED, EVERNOTE QUICK NOTE.) I used to take a screen shot and the cursor would appear below the image and then I could type; go back to work; take another screen shot and that screen shot would appear below the previous one and I could type below it. now they do it so the screen shots are appearing at the top and you cant write one thing underneath each one. how do I get the images to appear at the bottom again. its pissing me off -

I use the free version for Mac. Last month I got the message that my monthly upload limit was reached and I would need to upgrade or wait until the next month to upload. Today is Mar 1 and I am getting that message every time I try to upload anything. Haven't successfully uploaded anything this month. Any suggestions? Thank you. -
I'm on a 2014 Mac Air, up to date with High Sierra. My EN version is 7.0.1. My browser is Firefox, up to date. I can't clip articles to one particular notebook - it doesn't show up on the Notebook list on the clipper pulldown. If I search for it by name nothing shows up. It doesn't show up on the website when I'm logged in via Firefox either. I can only access this notebook on the laptop app. I've synced from both ends but it's still not showing up. Any ideas please? Evernote is definitely missing a real spreadsheet feature, and not a simple table. In fact it needs both. And a good Excel export/import as well. I use more and more Quip because it has a good support of this and can even create charts. https://quip.com/ -
Since Evernote 7, when in a notebook and I choose to select "Jump To Tag" from the View menu, the application crashes. Using the shortcut "Shift-Cmd-J" does nothing currently.
