  1. I use Evernote for GTD and therefore, heavily use Reminders. However, there is no way to sort notes by the Reminder date. Thank you for considering this. -David
  2. Is this working for anyone (text search for iWork documents)? I have a .numbers spreadsheet and I noticed text search wasn't working. I converted to .xls format and a .en-rstxt search index file was created. Search is working for the .xls document. Ticket# 2599050 submitted

Was adding to an older note (on my MBP) using EN 7.03 Had highlighted all the text, and was looking for the right way to set the line spacing uniformly - clicked on what looked like a line space option, but that was an actual line - so the entire page disappeared and all I had was a single line across the document. Did command-Z right away, nothing happened! Note gone. WTF!!!! I quickly picked up my phone, switched it to airplane mode, and copy-pasted the destroyed note into a new note - but all the edits I'd made on the laptop were gone. This is sh*t functionality - anything should be able to be undone.
  4. Hi! i detected a bug in Evernote on Mac (Version 6.13.1). The Problem is, that when i select the Side List View inside a notebook, sometimes the notes are not showen. Please fix this, because it is my favorite List View. Steps to Reproduce create two notebooks add them to the shortcuts select Side List View add notes to one notebook let the other empty click on the empty notebook in the shortcuts click on the other notebook with notes in the shortcuts
  5. Huge headers multiple times in a merged note can be very unsightly. Can we please get the optional merge options like the Windows client has? Thank you
  6. I know EN does not try to be a word processor, nevertheless I think it would be very handy (in PC versions at least) to define text "styles". I have a number of text styles I use in my notes that involve a particular font, color, size, etc.. At the moment I have to select each piece of text within the note and repeatedly set the same font, color, size etc. in order to have consistent formatting. In the case of the font itself, this means having to scroll through a long list of fonts to find the one I want every time (usually Courier because I want fixed pitch on that section, but I don't want the whole note in Courier). I try and use the same styling in most of my notes. Does anyone else think being able to define a handful of styles would be handy ? They could then be selected in a drop-down list on the formatting toolbar.

  8. Hi, quick question; i'm adding Notes retrospectively and want to have the origin date associated with the note as opposed to the created date. How to do that? Cheers

Many people like me use Evernote to save topics, links, and short snippets of text, on a few curated notes rather than importing a large amount of notes and then get an overwhelming amount of information that makes it difficult to retrieve the desired information later. What is really missing though is an easy way to quickly jump through sections within the notes that I have. The way Evernote works right now, makes it easy to novagate through notes but not within. What I would really need is the possibility to select a header/portion of text, or just a point in the note and save it as a bookmark within the note, then have a navigation tree somewhere (a sort of table of contents/note outline) where I can see a list of the bookmarks within that note and quickly jump to the desired one. I would be willing to get a premium account if such funtionality was available.

  12. I think it would be awesome if Evernote also developed (or let's say added to their list of future feature implementations) a widget in the Mac Notification centre. I am not sure if Apple has discouraged support for such widgets but I use Todoist and they have an awesome widget over there. The advantage would be that instead of switching between apps (I could use hotkeys and set shortcut for the Notification Centre) and quickly take a note or set a reminder, etc without leaving the app that I am currently working on.
  13. Evernote Premium & Business operating on Mac App without issue. 2016 15 inch MBP w TB. Installed MacOS 10.14 Mojave Beta and now experiencing crash on start. Have uninstalled and reinstalled without resolution. Thoughts? (Other than “what did you expect with a Beta OS?”)
  14. I can't take a screenshot with Skitch. It just does not work, nothing happens when I click on screen snapper button, the button looks like it's disabled. Does anyone have the same problem?
  15. I just registered to share the one thing that disturbs me in Evernote. The clipping, voice recording and all that stuff is really neat and new, but one basic thing that's missing are templates for Headings. Just like in Microsoft word, but only a handful styles, like e.g. Heading 1, Heading 2, standard. I believe that just a few templates for headings are of great value for anybody using Evernote to write down thoughts about a topic. Personally, everything I write down needs a heading, and doing this by hand every time is annoying and unnecessary for users. Anybody who writes down her thoughts in a structured way needs this. So what would I imagine this feature to look like? Well, there should be a standard style for every notebook, meaning that there is a fixed format for normal input and headings. When you want to write down a heading, there should be a button that increases the fontsize, and makes the text bold. But after pressing enter to start a new line, it should switch back to the standard format again. Just like in Microsoft Word. This will make it much easier to structure your works and put them down in a recognizable way. Also, the only advantage of a real notebook in my eyes is exactly that writing these headings is easy and instant. I hope that this will be considered as a new feature, Kind Regards
  16. Is there a way to lock the window size and position of skitch on Mac os x? When doing many screen captures I'm forced to chase the window around on my screen and can't keep it sized like I want it. It resizes according to the size of the image. I do not want this behavior. Just curious if there is a way to make it behave. Love the app otherwise.
  17. I am running Mac OS 10.13.4 and Evernote 7.1.1. Never had a problem before, but now Evernote crashes on open. I deleted and reinstalled, but still not working. Is there a compatibility issue with High Sierra?
  18. I just switched my iMac for a larger screen model but the operating system is the same. I had the software downloaded on my old mac so why can I not download it to my new one?
  19. Evernote Version 5.0.7 Mac Version 10.8.3 I am new to EN and somewhat new to Mac. I have read many posts on backing up Evernote and they all say my files live in the following location. Here is an example: On my Mac (OS X 10.7.4) running EN Mac 3.3.0, the path to the Evernote folder is: /Users/<userID>/Library/Application Support/Evernote Again, I am not that familiar with Mac. I go to Finder and see my name there which I click on. At the bottom of the window it does indeed say Macintosh HD>Users>my name But none of the files listed under my name are Library, though it does show iPhoto Library. What am I doing wrong? I have also done searches in Finder for Library, Application Support and .enex with no matches or incorrect matches found. I am not worried about backing up as long as the documents are on my computer, because I have regularly scheduled TimeMachine backup. I just want to make sure the documents are on my computer so they can be backed up. And I want to be able to find them. Signed Evernote and Mac novice.

  21. Hi all, I have the same problem that others voiced already back in 2017: "whenever I log into the computer Evernote also starts even though I do not have this option checked in preferences. I believe that the length of time it takes for Evernote to load hinders my ability to immediately work. The time that Evernote takes to load when I log on is unreasonable long and I would like to change this. How can I turn off loading when I log in? As I said previously, this option is NOT checked in preferences." Sadly all posts evolving around this very topic are closed for further comments, and the promise was that the Evernote Team was going to look into it. Can somebody please clue me if there is a solution? ( The box to lauch on start-up is unchecked! )
  22. Most of my searches are for exact phrases. Evernote seems to assume that most of my searches are for "Any" word or "All" words, since those are the only options in the drop down list. Let's say I want the phone number of American Express, so I type this in the search box: american express. Obviously, I get many other notes, all of which have both words in them, but only one of which I need, and the actual entry for American Express is way down the list. I am aware that I can search for the exact phrase by using quotes: "american express" That's well and good, but I find it annoying to have to fiddle with quotes for almost every search. (Perhaps this is because I'm an old Info Select user, which allowed exact phrase searching as a optional default.) Any chance of having "Exact Phrase" in addition to "Any" and "All" in the drop down menu under the search box? Or am I missing something?
  23. In the Chrome Clipper extension, if I completely erase the entry title and start entering a new one, spaces are erased. This happens once for every space, the second space input is kept so it is not a major problem but a small nuisance.
