  1. I'm new to both Evernote and Livescribe and I can't seem to connect my Evernote account with my Livescribe pen - is there something that I can do? I've tried disconnecting and connecting again and even reset my password for both accounts. I don't have Premium for Evernote - could this be the problem?
  2. When I synch Livescribe notes from a Sky pen, I get something titled Page XX - 1-Subject A5 Notebook 1. I can add tags, but if I attempt to rename the note to something more relevant to the Evernote notebook in use, I get a dialogue box indicating that the note was created in another application, and I have to edit it there. Is there a workaround, or are the Livescribe notes not editable?
  3. Hi everyone. First posting here - I looked around but couldn't see this answered anywhere so here goes. (apologies if it's been answered already and I've just missed it!) I have been using Evernote for a few years now, and recently also started using it as a contact management system and place to store screenshots of my notebook to enable searching. It's such a great system! I am quite tempted by the new Livescribe Wifi Echo pen (we're not allowed to call it Sky in the UK for legal reasons ) and the one thing I keep worrying about is whether even the free upgrade to 500Mb on Evernote would be enough? I'm thinking that even the smallest pen will hold 2Gb of notes and audio, so how does it all fit into Evernote? Won't my EN account be filled up really quickly or are the files compressed somehow? I'd love to hear how any livescribe users out there find the allowance and whether it is enough for the real world. I don't plan to be recording daily lectures, just meetings every week or so. Also, does anyone know if the Livescribe EN upgrade is permanent or just for 1 yr? Not sure I can afford to pay for Premium... Sorry for asking what is probably a stupid question when you know the answer. I hope someone is willing to share their experiences. Thanks!
  4. I've been using Evernote for a couple of months and, while I think improvements could be made, am enjoying it as an organizational tool. Earlier this week I purchased a Livescribe Sky Pen and enjoy simultaneously creating digital / audio copies of my notes. The only problem lay in organizing my notes in a way that makes sense to me. I'm currently making my way through a large textbook and would very much like to create a stack from my Livescribe notebook that is broken down my chapter for easy reference. I noticed there is a tag system, however, I'm uncertain if this would be of any use to me. I use a MacBook Pro and the Livescribe 2GB Sky Pen. Anyone with any tips and tricks...your advice would be greatly appreciated. Looking to make maximum use of both of these tools. Thank you in advance. -Boon-
  5. I use livescribe to send my handwritten notes to EN. I've found that EN can find words in an image of the livescribe note better than in a pdf. The success ratio (based on a limited test) is 4:1. Having said that, there are times when EN found the word in the pdf, but not in the image. Going forward, I'll be converting my notes to images to send to EN. I was wondering what other peoples experience is.
  6. I'm having a weird issue which I took two weeks to identify. Each time I tried to export a whole Livescribe notebook (because I didn't use Evernote until now) to Evernote, it didn't work. I just suddenly realized the History tab in Connect, and saw that the reason the Pencasts would not export to Evernote is because they're far too big. Now my issue - over the past two weeks I tried a couple times, casually while doing other tasks and not paying attention, to export this notebook to Evernote, each time failing. Each time an export starts, I see my available disk space quickly ticking down - in terms of I have eaten up probably at least 15 gigs doing this. I have a lot of recordings on each of the 70+ pages I was trying to export. These failed Pencast exports are somehow somewhere remaining on my computer, and I can't despite browsing logs and digging, I can't figure out where they are stored. So now I have a lot of disk space tied up because of this and I don't know where to look to find the Pencasts that are somehow in limbo after Livescribe exported them and they failed at getting into Evernote. Help please someone! I'm not sure if they are saved somewhere on the Livescribe side or somewhere locally on my hard drive (because they wouldn't have made it into a notebook to sync) in Evernote.
