  1. Hi All, I help run a club, and when I make notes about events I usually link the names of key people who attended to various other notes in the club notebook. Currently, this is fairly time consuming, as I have to find the note, copy the link, go back to the event note, find the insert location, paste (or highlight text and paste) etc. I would much prefer it if I could use the "Add Link" dialog that comes up when you hit Ctrl-K to search for a note title (which would provide an automatic filter of available notes in the same notebook), then arrow down to, or click on, the right note if more than one note matches the filter, then hit enter and the link gets inserted at the current cursor position. Is there any chance this functionality could be added to the desktop versions of Evernote sometime soon? What if I said please? Thanks for giving this some thought! pt
  2. I'm using Evernote for Mac and whenever I try to click on links that I have filed using the Firefox clipper plugin, nothing happens. (Firefox is my default browser, but nothing opens up and nothing is opening up in other browsers, so... kinda stuck here.) Actually, just tested it and even when I create a link from within the Evernote for Mac app, they are nonfunctional. Help?
  3. I use a web application that has pages of useful links. I want to copy some of these pages. The links are arranged as follows: Link Some text Link Some text ... ... Note that "Link" is some text, with the actual link being behind the page. I can copy one link at a time without problem. But if I try to copy multiple links, I get the following: ...............................................................................Link Some text ...............................................................................Link Some text ... ... The link is at the extreme right of the page, and seems to be in some kind of scrollable text box that is roughly 5 characters wide. I copy the selection using Win+A, or Ctrl+C, and paste using Ctrl+V, or Ctrl+Alt+V. I would be grateful for any advice.
  4. Hello, I make a lot of use of links to other notes, specially as when the number of notes get higher it is more difficult to see connections between notes in the tree. As context is everything I add a lot of links in a note. Currently I do this : search for a note select it copy note-link (in the right-click menu) going back to my first note paste it. This seems to be a little much work. It could be: Hit the shortcut-key to make a link (or an entry in the editor's right-click menu) a small search windows appears and you can start typing the search text when found hit enter and a link to the note is added Besides an easier way to do the same it fits better in the workflow when you editing a note. In the first scenario you have to leave the editor to find a note and come back. With the second scenario you stay where you are (in de note-editor) and you add the link when you want it and can continue again. I may overlook some functionality (I am on a Free plan) but this is a feature I would prefer to see added to a next version of Evernote Desktop. What do you think? Jeroenophetweb
  5. Hey, I've already submitted a bug report for this, but I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing disappearing images upon clicking links to their notes. Here's a procedure that always leads to an image disappearing (at least for me): With Evernote closed (but EvernoteHelper running), go to Google.com in Safari 6.0.2 with Evernote Web Clipper installed. Right-click the Google logo and choose "Save Image to Evernote." Launch Evernote and sync. Right click on note containing the clipped image and choose "Copy Note Link" Quit Evernote (not EvernoteHelper). Open TextEdit and paste the link. Click on the link. The image will appear as a question mark. Now close the note window and reopen the note. Now, no image whatsoever appears. The image has been deleted from the note (this can be verified by looking at the web interface). I only started using links today, so I have no idea if this bug is unique to version 5, but I experienced it in both 5.0.0 and 5.0.4.
  6. I just started using Evernote as a free user. I like it so far, but I have one suggestion I'd really like to see. I have images in all of my notes (as reference for design and art), most of them are from websites. It would be very convenient if, when a url is pasted into a note, you can select an image from that website to post in your note. (Facebook uses this same technique when you post a url). Would anyone else find this useful? thanks
  7. When using skitch sharing to snap a picture of anything then clicking the share button you used to get a link like, https://skitch.com/p...u4/test-example Now with evernote sharing you get this craziness, https://www.evernote...f01fc2b81728172 (the forum is shortening the link but it's a ginourmous computer generated mess) Those are two example links. But yeesh, what is the point of all that? Is there anyway to make your evernote sharing links look like something that a human can understand? Does this bother anyone else?
  8. I've set up a rule in mail.app so that whenever mail comes from a certain address it's forwarded to my EN account. The forwarding works perfectly, however, these emails that I forward are full of links. When they arrive in my EN notebook, the email is in plain text and the links are gone. Is there any way to preserve these or are all EN notes only available in plain text? Thanks in advance, Martin
  9. I don't know if this problem is new in the version 3.3.0 Beta 2, or was before, so I apologize if this is an inappropriate place to post the question. My problem (and may be, the bug) is that when I follow the link in a note to another note, if the destination note is on a different notebook, then when I try to go back to the original note by clicking on the arrow (on top left of the menu bar) the original note (where the link source is) is not selected, and nothing is displayed in the right panel. This problem do not ocurr if both linked notes are in the same notebook. This is a bug?
  10. I've created some (hyper)links from one note to other notes in Windows (which work fine in Windows), but they aren't working when I try I click on them in Android. I get the error message "Note loading error. Note not found", even though the note *is* there. Links to websites in the same note work fine. What am I doing wrong? (Can't seem to find anything about this in the Knowledge Base.) Thanks!
  11. I have clipped a number of URLs and would now like to be able to retrieve the content of those pages and have the content inserted in the note. The only way that I can figure out is to open the link and save clip the web page as a new note. I'd appreciate a suggestion for a workaround. Thanks.
  12. Every time I click in a link in a note or an ad that appears in the bottom left hand corner of the window, the dreaded spinning beach ball appears. What can I do to stop this?
