  1. Today I tried to get an article on a wordpress blog, via clipper, but in the simplified article there are a few links missing. If I use Safari or Firefox reading mode, the links appear. Example: Original Post: You can show the original post here: https://www.tuttosullapostaelettronica.it/blog/2017/06/21/come-verificare-un-indirizzo-di-posta-elettronica/ Can you fix it? Thanks Andrea
  2. I have added the same external website link into a note in 2 ways: 1. via pasting directly from copied website URL in a browser; and 2. via Format | Link | Add (command K) Both links work perfectly from Evernote (Evernote Links.tiff) Selecting all the content (both lines) and pasting, all content with both links pates OK into Scrivener, Keynote, wordpress... But, when I paste into a text document, or add notes in a calendar, for example, only link 1 pastes as a hyper link. Link 2 merely pastes the links visible description as text. (Pasted links.tiff) Can this be fixed, or is there a workaround?
  3. 1. Good grief, people. For God's sake make it POSSIBLE to report a bug. I don't expect a response, I just want to point out that it exists. 2. My version is 6.4.1.3788 (303788). But I had to type that by hand, because it can't even be copied, much less auto-filled into a message. 3. You can press Ctrl-K to add a link to text, but once the link is in place, Ctrl-K no longer works to edit the link. 4. You can right-click to edit the link, but when you do, the text that was there before is replaced by the link.
  4. It would be handy to see the url when the cursor is in linked text - like the link preview bar in the bottom left of Chrome etc.
  5. Please tell me It ain't so! I don't seem to be able to create a note link in the EN client for iOS. If there ever was a deal breaker, this is it. What am I missing?
  6. I was wondering if it was possible to use the note links, so when you click them instead of opening the website and then having it redirect back to Evernote for Windows it just directly opens Evernote bypassing the web?
  7. Evernote on my Android tablet has suddenly stopped saving Chrome links properly. I go through the usual process on a Chrome webpage, selecting Share and then Add to Evernote, but instead of saving an html link as it always used to it saves an attachment which appears to be a screenshot of the opening page or something like that. I'd be grateful if anyone could give me any clue what I can do about this.
  8. is there a way to link to a specific line or part of a note? I know how to make links to other notes, but I'm asking if it's possible to link to certain part of a note within the same note, so internal links I have a lot of notes that range to fairly to very short because there is not much to say on the topic, so combining these notes into a longer one would be easier for organization purposes, but this also means that the typical method of linking means that the links to these combined notes goes to the start, not the specific topic or section that I want to directly go to
  9. Specifically I want to be able to click on a link in EN and go to Omnifocus . The reverse works. Pasting the link from Omnifocus into EN appears not to work. Can't use cmd-k or paste the link in directly. However, if you open the information panel on a note in EN and paste the link from OF into the URL field then click on "View Site" you go to the appropriate entry in Omnifocus. I just can't see how to insert the link directly into the note so that you can click and go to the appropriate entry in OF. Is there any way to create a direct link? Thanks.
  10. Does exist any way to merge several notes without these annoying links?
  11. Hye all I'm actually trying to organze my Evernote system so that i can do both Evernote/Todoist/Trello functions. I've made project note that summarize all of a certain topic. Each topic has a tag and a notebook (i don't know yet which system i'll be using). When i create a new note with a tag or in a notebook, I'd like to automatically create a link in the project note it depends on. Is a such thing possible ? Using Ifttt or maybe another thing Thanks. Have a nice day and happy Easter !!! PS : sorry i firstly posted my message in french i don't know why
  12. Hi, following a discussion requesting the ability to link Apple Mail messages into Evernote, I post this applescript. The procedure is: select an evernote Note (target) select one or more message(s) in Apple's Mail run the script. Link(s) will be created in the selected Evernote Note pointing to the Mail message(s). The link will work on any other mac having the same Mail account and even on iOS devices (provided the message is one of the most recent ones). Feel free to use it and modify at your convenience. set _links to {} set _Titles to {} set _dates to {} tell application "Mail" set _sel to get selection repeat with _msg in _sel set _messageURL to "message:\\%3c" & _msg's message id & "%3e" set end of _links to _messageURL set myTitle to the subject of _msg set end of _Titles to myTitle set theDate to date received of _msg set theString to ((time string of theDate) & " " & (day of theDate) as string) & " " & (month of theDate) as string set theAuthor to sender of _msg set theString to theString & " - " & theAuthor & " - " set end of _dates to theString end repeat set AppleScript's text item delimiters to return set the clipboard to (_links as string) end tell tell application "Evernote" activate try set theNotes to selection repeat with thisNote in theNotes set theHTML to HTML content of thisNote repeat with n from 1 to count of _links set _messageURL to item n of _links set theTitle to item n of _Titles set theDate to item n of _dates -- append thisNote html "<div><b><a href=" & _messageURL & ">" & theTitle & "</a></b></div>" set theHTML to "<div><b>" & theDate & " <a href=" & _messageURL & ">" & theTitle & "</a></b></div>" & theHTML set HTML content of thisNote to theHTML end repeat end repeat end try end tell
  13. Hello, I have seen this question and related threads in this forum before. I am not sure if these queries were resolved. At least I did not find any answer when I searched for one (unless I missed something, which is entirely possible). Today I managed to crack this little mystery of getting evernote links to open in the android app instead of browser. I thought I would share this bit with the community. I use Todoist to manage my projects and ToDos. And I use EN for everything else. I often want to and need to reference a note in a Todoist task, but couldn't figure out how to link the two, until today, that is! This is how I went about it: Long tap on the note you want to use in the other app. Tap Share->Post a link. Android should display a list of relevant apps Box (or Dropbox), CloudMagic (or Gmail) and actions such as Post to Facebook, Add to Firefox, and so on. In my case, I select the Add as task with the Todoist icon. Upon tapping it, I see a new task created with the note link. Now the way to use hyperlinks in Todoist is to use brackets. I now have a task with a link to the reference note in EN. It opens in the EN app not browser. Hope this helps those who have been looking for a way to do this. Wish everyone a very Happy 2016! GT P.S.: I am using EN 7.5 and Todoist 8.4 on a Nexus 6 running Android 6.0.1
  14. Hi there, I clip a lot and save the note with simplified formatting. My links within my notes are appearing in green and not underlined. Green, of all colors! Perhaps I'm a traditionalist but I want to see my links in blue and underlined. Can't find anywhere how to change it throughout all of my notes. Thanks, in advance, for your help. Kimberly
  15. Hi, I clicked on a link in one of my notes to open a local file on my computer and accidentally clicked "cancel" instead of "ok" after checking the box "don't ask me this question again" (it asked if I was sure I wanted to open links to local files). Now when I click on a link in one of my notes, nothing happens. I've looked all through the settings and searched in the online help forums and can't find anything about how to undo what I did. Any suggestions? Thanks, Christina
  16. Hi! I try to keep track of which recipes I use from day to day, and I have been doing this by copying a note link from my recipe in Evernote into an index note where I can see what we've had for dinner and go directly to a recipe if we want to revisit it. It is a bit of a hassle to do the copying, scrolling and appending, so I thought I'd try Zapier to automate this task. By using the reminder function (I don't use it for anything else), I could automatically send a recipe to the index note with link and date - great! Unfortunately, this only works the first time you set the reminder. Even if you delete the reminder, Zapier will not trigger again for a note that has triggered a reminder event once, and I'm back with manual link copying again. Does anyone know about a better app/web service that can help to keep a log like this without having to go through all that copying and pasting? -B-
  17. Hi! Can anyone tell me if it is possible to create a table of contents for a single note? I know that I can create a Table of Contents linking multiple notes together, but what I really want to do is create a single note, with bulleted anchors. Is this possible? Thanks all Miles
  18. In the past I would regularly click "control > copy note link" on a note that I wanted to link to, then slect a bit of text in another note that I wanted to internally link to that first note. Unfortunately, Evernote now pastes the web link for the note I'm trying to link to rather than the internal link. After reading about what seems to be a behavior change in Evernote, I'm not sure what I can do. I know that if I simply paste the note link (instead of attempting to turn a selection of text into a hyperlink), Evernote pastes the name of the note I'm trying to link to as well as an internal link, but nothing I've tried alws me to retain an internal link when converting a text selection into a hyperlink... which is what I'm after. Does that make sense? Is there a way around?
  19. Hi, Is there a way to change the classic note link in the desktop app (eg. evernote:///view/...) so that when it is clicked in a note that is already opened it opens that linked note in a new window rather than the existing window? Something like "_blank" in an html link. Is there a way to have a link in a desktop app that opens more than one note in their seperate windows? Is there a way to link notes so that if one note is opened, the other linked notes are automatically opened in their separate windows as well? Thanks
  20. Old version, easy to find place to click on a hyperlink of a story I clipped and saved. New version, what the heck? Im editing the title? I cant find where i can click to go to the story I clipped? I have to go to the forum and ask?
  21. Hello, I've always wanted to be able to create a link from inside Evernote to a file stored elsewhere on my computer (i.e. not in Evernote). For example, I have several spreadsheets and other text documents on my hardrive that I mention in my notes inside Evernote. It would be INCREDIBLE if there was a way to create a clickable link to those files! Is there any way to do that? I'm using a Mac, in case that helps. Thank you very much in advance. BertieTBE
  22. Well I assume its a bug, I'd be very upset if it was a deliberate decision as I have loads of file links in my EN database. Previously you could link to a file on your Mac hard drive - e.g. file:///Users/patnpm/Dropbox/files/work/myfile.docx and I've got loads of links to large image files etc that I didn't want clogging up evernote, links to folders etc. Now if I click on a link, nothing happens. I've submitted a bug report, but has anybody else noticed this? Am I the only person using file links?
  23. I'm going to describe a feature that I'd like to see in Evernote. If anyone else thinks this idea would be useful, please jump in. The Story: As an Evernote user, I'd like the ability to create links between notes, so that I can work with other Evernote managed content more efficiently. Acceptance Criteria: A user can select any content in a note to add a link (just like with web links today) When adding a link, the user can chose if the link is a standard web link or a link to another note within Evernote When a link to another Evernote item is clicked, the user would jump to that note. The links should work across Evernote platforms (IE- I could create the link from my Mac or PC, but then follow the link from a mobile device)Note: if the links worked across notebooks, that would be nice, but if they could only work within the same notebook then it would solve 95% of my link needs. Here's a few examples of how I might use that new feature I'm interviewing candidates for a position, and taking notes in Evernote. I want to link my notes to the candidates resume, which is already in a different note. How about a simple hyperlink? I might be taking meeting minutes in a shared notebook. In that meeting we might make a decision based on an existing policy, which conveniently is already described in a different Evernote note. So in my meeting minutes I would simply create a link to that other note. I keep all my sheet music in Evernote, but for a given performance I only need 8 pieces of sheet music. To create a handy reference for practicing, I might create a 'Table of Contents' note for that concert, which contains only links to those other notes with actual content. And many more, etc... Thanks for considering implementing this feature. Dan
  24. Is there a way to see to what other notes a particular note is linked. I.e. I copied a note link and pasted into various other notes. I would like to know which ones.
  25. Is it possible to launch a 3rd party app from an Evernote note? I have a note which helps me schedule my guitar practice sessions - it has headings like 'Theory', 'technique', 'backing tracks' etc. I have various applications which support my learning - books on Kindle, apps which help with chord structures etc. It would be good for example if, against a heading 'Theory' I could include a link (?) which, on clicking, launched my Kindle app. I already use links to other EN notes and to external web pages - this would be similar but would apply to other applications on my Mac any takers?
