  1. I'm quite often writing my translations from one language to the other by pasting the source text into a note and overwriting it with the translated version. My OSX is English and when I type my other language text in Evernote the words get automatically corrected into words in English what doesn't really help when I'm translating from English into another language. It is really not helping when my more or less correct spelling is ruined by a foreign language spellchecking that cannot be turned off or set to the proper language. I don't know if there is a setting I don't find or it is a feature request but it would be great to be able to set what language a note uses - thus use correction suggestions for that language. Or at least to be able to turn off spellig correction for that post not to mess up with my work.
  2. Is there a way to set a specific language for the spell checker for each notebook or a way to turn off spell check for specific notebooks or do I have to change my default language? I have a notebook for each of my classes but I take 2 foreign languages and the red squiggles are distracting.
  3. Hi Evernote team, I'm loving v5, but I'd like to be able to switch Evernote back to English as was possible in earlier versions. Either I am missing something or it was omitted this time? On a side note, your German translation has an error: "Tastenkombinationen" is incorrect in this context, it means "keyboard shortcuts". I assume the translator got a file of strings and had to translate "Shortcuts" out of context? No worries, I've been there before. Most current apps (Firefox, Opera ) are going with the term "Schnellwahl" for their shortcut features, so you might want to use that instead.
  4. Just wondering if it is possible to dictate in Japanese and have my speech automatically transcribed?
  5. I teach in a Mandarin immersion program in which the students are learning both English and Mandarin with myself teaching English while my partner handles the Mandarin. I was thinking of having the students create a dictionary using whiteboards to capture the translation of characters to English or vise a versa and capturing the work with a camera. I would create a shared notebook and at least initially I would load the images myself. I've had students create something along these lines before using index cards and keeping them on a binder ring, and I was thinking that by doing it this way we could have a searchable database of current words that they are studying as well as a reference for later in the year when we were finished.
