  1. In the iOS apps, is it possible to use multiple tags to filter notes? For instance, say you're using the TSW system and you want to filter for [@work]+[1-Now]+[.Active Projects] I know there is a way to do this on the desktop app, but if I'm out running errands, or working away from my desk, I'd like to be able to do the same on my mobile (iPhone or iPad) Is this possible?
  2. Using iPad Mini: For random pages, I can see the entire contents of a page when looking at the grid view with the small versions of all pages in a notebook. For some pages, when I open them to full size, part of the content is gone--over half the page in some cases. When I go back to the grid view, it's there....and still gone in full page view. I've attached an image of the same page in both views. I use Penultimate to take all of my notes in business meetings. HELP!!! FYI...I'm up to date on all iOS updates and up to date on all Penultimate updates.
  3. I am new to evernote. A co-worker emailed a note to my evernote email. I am unable to import the note. The icon has a question mark. I am using my ipad to try and import the note. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Tried uninstalling on my iPad and reinstalling and it fixed it for about an hour and went back to not working at all. I can't check anything off or on and my phone lists keep ***** up as well. I check things off on my phone and go back and the checkmarks are gone. It is becoming a real pain. I've used this for quite some time but will have to look elsewhere. I have an iPad 2 and and iPhone 5s. This has been happening since the last update! Please fix!!!
  5. Hi, I've downloaded Evernote for Windows but it is not fully synchronizing. There are about 50 notes which have not been downloaded in Windows which I can see in the iPhone app. There is no pattern to the notes which have not been downloaded, it's fairly random. Can anyone help? Thanks!
  6. I manage a large deployment of iPads, and we use Apple Configurator at each of the 60+ sites. Ever since the Skitch update, the iOS app file updated in Configurator App List but WILL NOT INSTALL on iPads. Has anyone else experienced this? We love Skitch and use it in our 53 schools daily, but this has not been the case since iOS 8 and the updated Skitch.
  7. How do you encrypt the content of a Note when you're using Evernote on iPad? Right click and control click are not available.
  8. I am operating Evernote for iPad on IOS 8.0,2. As soon as I open it the sync process starts and never stops, preventing me from doing anything. I have restarted the iPad, uninstalled the App, re-installed it with no change. Any suggestions?
  9. Guys, Just bought Notability for iPad.... Evernote, I really love you, I was loyal for more than a year and a half. Springpad didn't do this to me.... But NOTABILITY... WOW... Typing, handwriting, pictures embedded, audio recording, colors, flexibility, pdf... And it is soooo intuitively simple... Evernote, please say you have this coming soon: handwriting, handwriting on embedded pictures - it is so useful for meeting notes... Please say you are replacing the evercrashing iPad version with something more than cardex view Guys, iPad has to be your top priority, this is The tool for professionals. Having Notability for a week I have gone COMPLETELY PAPERLESS. It still lacks the Tags system for me to implement GTD as Evernote allows, thats the big minus, but they've promised it's on the design board Guys, I LOVE EVERNOTE and I also love competition. Please, improve, you have to and you can, too! Good luck! Michael
  10. I have been unable to set up a good system to store, read and annotate pdf files (scientific articles) in Evernote. The workflow I have in mind would go like this.... 1) Find pdf on web, and clip to Evernote (this works fine). 2) Open article on iPad, read and annotate in third-party app. I use Goodreader, but I could try another. 3) Save annotated pdf back to Evernote. Any method I have tried up to now does not save my annotations back to the Evernote version. Thanks. PS. As an aside, what is the best way to get a pdf attachment in Gmail into Evernote? In the new Gmail format, the clipper doesn't work on the default Gmail display of pdf attachments. I can download it and drag it in, of course, but it would be nice to do it without leaving a copy in my download directory.
  11. HI there When I take a picture using Evernote on my iPad and then go to edit the title, it disappears - ie scrolls up when the keyboard appears. This means you cant see what you are doing, neother can you edit the title by placing the cursor somewhere. Is anyone else finding this? Anyone any suggestions? Thanks Mark
  12. I'm new to this so I'll start with apologies.I have an iPad three.in order to do some voluntary work I have old photographs of text documentswhich I need to retype.I insert the photo into Evernote and then I read and dictate creating a text document which I can edit. This mainly works well but would be better if I could just hold the picture steady in the viewing window. Am I doing something wrong?
  13. Hi, When I create a new note using the camera on my Ipad2, the pictures are kept on the IPAD and on Evernote. So I end up with a bunch of pictures in the photo gallery, mixed with regular pictures taken from outside evernote. And there does not seem to be a way to quickly identify the pictures coming from Evernote and delete them. Is there a way to prevent this? It's really annoying! Thanks!
  14. Hello: I'm trying to install Evernote Web Clipper for Safari in my Ipad 4 (iOS 8.1.1) from evernote.com. And when I click in the link, it appears a message asking where to open the Evernote.6.2.4.safariextz thing (3,1 MB). But the only options are to open it in AirDrop, Dropbox, or Evernote. I think it should be a problem of my poor configuration of the device, but don't know what to do... Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm new in this apple stuff and in this configurations. Don't be cruel... Thanks in advance, Guillermo.
  15. I am using Evernote on my iPad, and I created nine notebooks to start off without putting any data in them. One of my notebooks can be accesses very easy, but I have no idea where my other 8 went? It says I have a total of 9 notebooks to the right of the "notebooks" tab but I can not seem to find them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  16. Hello, I am looking to move my note taking fully onto evernote and I'd appreciate some advice on what works for you/ opinion. I am a young professional and take occasional courses, my laptop is falling apart and i think a lighter tablet may be a better option. Right now I am looking at the apple air (original) -because I've had dell and toshiba laptops that over time just start to fall apart for no good reason, I've seen apples outlast my laptops, in addition to a better resale value - penultimate works on apples and it doesn't appear to be on androids, if I move fully to evernote I would like the stylus writen notes to be searchable and syncable via evernote - light and easy to carry I would like to consider a good android tablet but I think the lack of penultimate is a major loss, have you found a way to get around this? I appreciate any suggestions, I am new to the tablet scene and not fully aware of trade offs in this department of apple vs. android and how they work with evernote. I appreciate any advice. Cheers, Dan
  17. For various reasons I dont wish to go into, I am unable to use the Evernote app on my iPhone & iPad. Now that you have removed the web browser function for viewing my notes, do you have any suggestions as to how I can view my notes on iPad & iPhone now? It renders Evernote practically useless for me now.
  18. Hello - I've got several shared notebooks where content is tagged. The tags appear to sync between my devices, and sync to the people with whom the notebook is shared. However, tags aren't working as expected. Here's the specific example: I've got a 54 notes tagged "cocktails". They're all in a notebook shared with my wife. We're both premium users. Here's what I see: In my Mac client, I can click Tag (in the home sidebar), double-click cocktails in the tag list, and all (54) of the notes tagged cocktails appear in a list. Good! Sync to my iPad. The word "cocktails" appears in the tags list. Touch Tags from the iPad home, touch "cocktails" in the tag list. I get a screen saying "No notes found. You don't have any notes tagged with 'cocktails'." (Which is, of course, untrue - see above.) (I've also tagged them by the base alcohol - gin, vodka, .... The same behavior appears when I try to find a cocktail using one of those tags, e.g. touching gin gives me a "no notes found") I even went to the trouble of deleting a tag from a cocktail, syncing all devices, re-adding the "cocktails" tag from the iPad, syncing across all devices, and trying to find the recipe via the tag. Still no joy. Note: I've COMPLETELY reset my environment. Re-installing Evernote on my iPad triggered an ENTIRE reset of my ipad. (I restored it to factory defaults, installed it as a "new iPad", and restored applications a few at a time - finishing with Evernote, and a full re-sync. Evernote didn't _really_ require this; but after my iPad got excruciatingly slow after my iOS 8 update, I decided a full reset was in order.) So, now I have: - iOS 8.0.2 freshly installed on my iPad (2) - Evernote 7.5.1.311939 And I can't get a list of all my cocktails via the tags. Is it me, or is this capability not available with (shared) notebooks in Evernote? If not supported, can I get tag-recall back by taking the notes out of a shared notebook? -jb
  19. Hello all. I am having the same problem reported by others in the forum. My Evernote on the iPad (running iOS 8.1) won't stay open. It will come up, and immediately fall back to the background. If I double tab the home button, I can see the notes I was last working on. I have tried quitting and restarting the App and the iPad. But, that did not help. My problem is that I spent four hours working on a plane, and none of my notes from that stretch were synced. Before I uninstall and install Evernote, is there anyway I can recover the notes or force a sync without having the App in the foreground? It seems to me that once I delete the App, all the notes I took that were not synced will be deleted too. I would rather not have to do redo that work. Thank you for any help. Best. Anders.
  20. I just updated the Evernote app on my IPAD to the current version. Every time I open the app it immediately crashes. Suggestions?
  21. Hello, I have a couple of problems with viewing\using tags on the iPad. The most serious one is that I can't seem to figure out how to view the tags properly. If I go into the tags section I can see the beginning of the tag names but they are all squashed up all on one side of the screen and the rest of the screen is just unused grey space. I've tried dragging the tag section across into the empty area but it doesn't work. As you can see in the screen grab I have a lot of tags that start of with the same word so it's not possible for me to know which is the correct tag i'm after unless I can see the name of the tags. The second is that my tags are just appearing in alphabetical order rather than via hierarchical order as I have it set on the desktop. How do I get the tag hierarchy showing that I've set-up on the desktop? Thanks
  22. Hello. I am creating notes with images at the top for my business (as headers). I've been using images that are around 850 pixels wide as they are compatible with facebook covers etc , so they have multiple uses. The note looks fine when viewed on the pc, however, when I view the note on a mobile device (ie. I use a shortcut tiny.cc with the shared note's hyperlink) the image goes way off the edge of the page and look unprofessional. For example: http://tiny.cc/myENtest Is there a way around this? Or at least how wide (in pixels) should I make the image so that it views correctly? Thanks in advance!
  23. My password works fine with the Web version but the iPad app won't accept it. I have typed it very carefully several times, so I don't think I've made a typing mistake. Any help/suggestions much appreciated.
