  1. Hi, I am using evernote on my iPAD with ios9 and I am unable to make modifications to the text of previously saved notes. I believe I should be able to do this by opening the note and then selecting a "pen" icon. But I when I open an existing note there is no pen icon. See attached screen shot for a typical opened note, with no pen icon or other option to allow me to edit. Thanks for any help . . .

  3. Recently I've experienced some annoying issues with printing on the mac and presentation mode on both mac and iPad. The common thread on both platforms is that long lines of text are mishandled. When printing on the mac, long lines are not wrapped. Instead they are simply truncated. So a three line sentence is turns into a single line when printed, with the content truncated mid-word. On the mac, printing seems to have acquired an additional annoyance as well: font size appears to be ignored when printing. When I purposefully choose a large font, this is ignored when printing and I get arbitrarily sized small text when printing. Presentation mode on the mac behaves differently but not correctly when handling long text. Instead of simply truncating long lines, it does wrap the text but instead of word-wrapping, it indiscriminately wraps it mid-word. Presentation mode on the iPad is similar to the mac: long lines are not wrapped. Instead they are simply truncated. Part of this may the result of cutting text from other sources and pasting it into Evernote. On the other hand, shouldn't all this just work? Word-wrapping lines of text is really fundamental.
  4. Was annotating a PDF today on my iPad and when I saved changes, the app crashed. The first time this happened, my annotations saved. However, this happened a second time and I lost about 4 pages of annotations that time. App is up to date; not sure what could be causing this. But I'm doubting my purchase of Evernote Premium now. Any suggestions? Thanks!
  5. Lately, as I type in Evernote - after I've typed a roughly a full screen-worth of text - I am having a scrolling issue. Each key stroke scrolls the screen up as I type until eventually I only can see a blank screen. I can scroll back down and see my text correctly, but each letter scrolls the page! It is so weird. I've tried zooming in, with minimal success. Each note will behave for a bit, but once the note goes bad I can't undo the scroll issue. Has anyone else seen this? This bug is making Evernote almost unusable to me, and I am so disappointed. Thoughts? I have an iPad 2, and I've updated my app yesterday, but the problem still persists. I also use a WiFi Zagg keyboard, and have for the past year. THANK YOU!
  6. I send emails to Evernote randomly and go into the app and assign notebooks on a monthly basis depending on how many I've sent. But I can't find any of them! I think last time I did this was about a month ago. I am a Plus member -- I don't think that membership has expired. Can anyone help me (and how do I check to make sure I'm still a Plus member?) Thank you!
  7. I use my IPAD for both personal and work. I currently scan all of my receipts (personal) with ScanSnap on my desktop, but don't want them to sync to my IPAD which is becoming bloated and constipated. I would like to remove all of the receipts from my IPAD, but keep them on Evernote Desktop and the Cloud. How can I do this? Thanks in advance for your help
  8. Web Clipper is definitely the most useful feature of the Evernote, but not having it on iPhone and iPad is very annoying. Using intermediary application is just tedious. As there is Clipper for Mac Safari, why isn't there one for iPad and iPhone. It's really time to create it.
  9. Please consider nested tags as a feature in the iPad app. I realize this isn't really a forum question, I just haven't found a place to add feature requests. thanks.
  10. Hey everyone. I read a lot of books on the kindle app on my ipad and take notes in evernote. It's pretty clunky as it involves app switching and you can't copy/paste from kindle/ibooks due to DRM. If you highlight and/or make notes in the kindle app these are available if you log in to your amazon account through a web browser. Has anyone found a way to automatically sync these highights and notes to evernote? I see a lot of talk about manual solutions but nothing automatic. It drives me crazy so I'm considering building a solution (I'm a developer) that allows me to stay productive with hasslefree access to my notes and highlights, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel if there's already something out there. Would anyone else find this useful? If so would you pay (something small) for it? Thanks. Nick
  11. When I was attending a lecture I was taking notes and taking photos of the projected data on my iPad . It worked fine for six photos and I could add relevant notes immediately after each photo. However, after the 6th photo the Evernote camera icon disappeared and in addition, I could only add notes by inserting them at the beginning of my Evernote note rather than at the end of the previous notes. The iPad camera still worked so i now have the photos in the iPad photo library but not inside the Evernote note. 1) Is there a limit to the number of photos you can add to a note? 2)Why would Evernote not let me continue typing at the end of the note ? There must have been plenty of memory because I could still take photos with my iPad and could insert text at the beginning of the note refining all the following material but could not add them at the end. Similarly I can attach photos taken with the iPad camera icon to transfer the photos to the beginning of the note in Evernote but cannot insert them at the end. 3)The attachment icon in Evernote displays the photos too small to work out which one is which. I cannot read the text on the projections photographed . How can I increase the size in the attachment icon to large enough to read what is on the projection so I can select which photo goes where? 4) How can I insert the photos at the end of my text if a cursor will not appear there? The cursor will only appear above the last photo . 5) How can I delete one of the photos I do not need in the Evernote? If I tap on the photo it enlarges and then the only 3 options in the top right corner are the @ sign, the arrow to show next photo and the box with the arrow which is for sharing, copying or printing etc. There is no option to delete one item in the whole as far as I can see. I could only find the Delete option for the whole document in the three dots above the whole document. I would really appreciate some help Thank you
  12. I would like to have the opportunity to add handwriting and drawings direct in my typed text notes. Also to highlite text, circle it, etc. Like App Penultimate e.g. but INSIDE Evernote for iPad

  14. Crusoe: Here it Is, Here you Go. The Problem with Evernote: Evernote is great for finding the notes I’m looking for, but it’s not very good at finding the notes that I’ve long since forgotten. With over 6,000 notes, those notes I’ve forgotten comprise at least 95% of my database. And I can’t look up notes that I don’t even know exist. The Solution -- Perfect Recall: Crusoe gives you instant, perfect recall of the exact notes you want at the exact moment you want them. No scrolling through tags, no notebooks, no search lists--you don’t even have to remember what to search for. Just instant, perfect recall of the precise information you want, exactly when you want it: “Here it is, here you go.” That’s Crusoe. Sounds Impossible, doesn’t it? Actually it’s simple. How it Works: Let’s say you read a blog post on some new type of web design and think “Wow, this is really cool.” But wait, why do you think it’s cool? You think for a second and say, “Because I saw an awesome website yesterday for funkycoolwallets.com and they used these same design methods.” Okay, so imagine this: Take a piece of string. Staple one end to the blog post and one end to funkycoolwallets.com. Now when you pull out one note, you see the other. And since funkycoolwallets.com is the reason you think that blog post is cool, that’s not a connection you want to lose. Now imagine all your notes connected together that way. After you get used to connecting your notes in Crusoe, you’ll learn that connecting your notes matters more than saving them. Think about it--every note you save you save for a reason. Every time you connect a note in Crusoe you connect a question to its answer, a solution to a problem, or a great example to a good idea. Crusoe lets you save those connections so you can retrieve the exact information you want, exactly when you want it. Here it is, here you go. Beta Users Needed Crusoe is ready for a pre-beta launch. We need 10 or so users that are ready to put Crusoe through the wringer to trigger as many bugs as you can find. Our initial release is for the iPad only, so if you have an iPad, an Evernote account, and a lot of notes, you’re our man (or woman). For this pre-beta launch we need Evernote users who can give us a 10 or 20 minutes of time in a Skype session or a phone call to tell us what they think. What do you like? What do you hate? What do you want us to change? Our pre-beta users can have a big impact on what the final release will look like. One word of warning: the connections you create during the pre-beta testing will not be saved so don’t worry about making meaningful connections just yet. Once we are through this phase your connections will be saved forever on your iCloud accoun until you delete them.
  15. I use OS 8.3 on my ipad, cannot get it to fully sync all notebooks after delete and reinstall of app. I see my most recent work synced across devices and on the evernote.com site. However, I can't seem to get the ipad to fully sync. It shows notebooks from older work, with "0 notes" (though I know there are quite a few notes in them, and can see them on other devices.). Suggestions?

  17. I use Evernote on my MacBook Pro and iPad - have been doing so for two years, and I love it. But I've just had a DISASTER! In one document I stored ALL my passwords for programs and apps - carefully encoded - and always synced between the two devices. But somehow, and I really have no idea how, the document is now EMPTY. The heading Pw is still there, and the Info button shows it was created in November, 2013, and last used on 17 April, 2015, i.e. this morning, but there is nothing in there. I'm distraught. I had around 40 user names, passwords and email details stored on the two devices and thought they were very safe - backed up in effect. I don't know whether Evernote's "web service" means it might be up in a cloud somewhere??? Please, can anyone help?
  18. Hello, I have latest Evernote on iPad. I did a tag search, and my screen now shows the list of notes that match that search. Now when I tap the elephant icon all I get is a list of tags. I expected it to take me back to the main page with my list of notebooks, etc. How do I get back to the home menu screen? Thanks in advance.
  19. Is there a list of the best iPhone , iPad apps related to Evernote users? I would love to go through the list and start using the app and improve my productivity.

    BBC Good Food

Hi, I'm a new Evernote user and I'm trying to save BBC Good Food recipes to my ipad. I've also tried it from my Windows PC and can't get it to work. Does anyone know how to make it work? Thank you!!
  21. When using my bluetooth zagg keyboard with the iPad, I can only get spellchecking (red underline of mispelled words) to work as follows: When you open the note for editing, click in the "Title" field first. Then click back to the body of the note. Mispelled words will be underlined. However, when switching to a different app on the iPad and then switching back to Evernote, you will need to again click in the "Title" field to reenable spellchecking.
  22. I currently run Evernote with a large database on an iPad 3. Does anyone have experience upgrading from the iPad 3 to an iPad Air 2? I'm interested if there are noticeable increases in Evernote app performance.
  23. I have been using Penultimate on the iPad for about a year. I really like the way that it has (until now) automatically synced to Evernote, my primary reason for installing it. Recently, and I think only have the iPad update is iOS 8, did it quit working so well. Problem: a new note written with my Jot pen on the iPad has only synced the first of two pages. When I open the note in Evernote, only the first page has content; there is a second page, but it is blank. I have tried multiple times to edit on the iPad and force a new sync, but to no avail. Is there a change pending that will fix this?
  24. I was typing on Evernote on my ipad and thought I had saved the text. When i looked for it, it wasn't on Evernote website or in my iPad evernote list but it showed up on iphone with other previous Evernotes. How did this happen and what do I do to ensure that synching occurs automatically?
