  1. I have a tag named "ideas". When I try to search all my notes tagged as ideas, I use: tag:ideas Evernote doesn't find any of my notes. Whereas if I search using: tag:idea* then it finds the notes. Is there something I can do to fix it? There is another fact you may be interested to pay attention: I have a shared notebook (i'm not the owner, so the tags of these notes aren't in my tag list) with a note tagged "Ideas" (notice the capital letter). This note is always found by evernote in each case: tag:ideas tag:Ideas tag:idea* If you're wondering about my English, I'm Spanish and I'm still learning... I'm sorry!
  2. Hi, how does one delete a pdf from evernote on ipad? Or does it automatically delete when you delete the note? All advise welcome! c.
  3. I have looked everywhere and can not fin an answer anywhere to what seems like an obvious question. I am trying to get started with Evernote. I just moved all of my iPad notes into Evernote. After doing so, I discovered that Evernote has notebooks for organizing things. I logged into the Web interface and created a couple of new notebooks (very odd that you cannot do this from the iPad app!). Now, I am trying to figure out how to move my existing notes into those notebooks. I have tried tapping, dragging, everything, with no success. It I select a note and tap Details, I can see what notebook it is in, but can't change it in any way. What am I missing? Is it as simple as "Feature not implemented yet" or OS there some non-obvious way to move a note to a different notebook?
  4. Hi All, I still have a problem with getting my tags to work across all platforms. I can now happily create them on Windows and Mac software. But I cannot see any 'Business' tags on the Web, Android Phone or iPad. So I am guessing this is still an issue? Any other 'Business' users out suffering the same problem? Regards Chris
  5. I am a Premium member. When I search of a word on the OS X app on my MBP it returns 48 documents. The word exists in notes, Word docs, and pdf's, and it finds them all. When I search on my iPad app (ver 7.3) it only returns one document where the term is in the title. I can't find any setting or explanation of this behavior. Any suggestions as to how to make the iOS version search work properly?
  6. Hi. I've been recording my students using Evernote and ipad. It was working great. Until I updated my ipad to 7.1. Now I can see the audio clip. But when I tap it, it acts like it's going to load and play, but it just disappears. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. Yesterday at work, I used Evernote iOS on my iPad to take notes about the places we visited, for work. I types details and took photos with my wifi iPad. Upon trying to sync the 6 notes, each of which is between 30MB and 70MB in size, it just won't sync. I'm now connected to 100meg wifi and it's been syncing all night (9 hours) and not one note has finished syncing. In addition to this, a note has duplicated itself and a note is missing. Which has happened without me touching that iPad. Evernote will not let me Share the note, and export it without crashing. I'm a Premium user and I had nearly 1GB of data left before the sync. I was meant to have this information passed onto a colleague three hours ago. I have the current version of Evernote on my iPad mini 16GB wifi only, model MD528LL/A, iOS version 7.0.6. Help.
  8. I've heard conflicting things about iOS7 and held off updating until recently when I needed it to install a particular app. So far, it's been OK except that it seems to have messed up Evernote. I'm not able to easily paste text (say a recipe) from another site. The "paste" function doesn't come up when I touch the screen. Also when I try to edit previous text entries, the screen suddenly shifts down so I can't see what I'm editing. If I keep one finger on the screen when I type it sometimes works but is awkward and annoying. I've read a suggestion to uninstall Evernote and re-install. Would that affect all my stored stuff ? Thanks in advance for any help.
  9. I have 3 notes I'd like to put in a Notebook instead of listing them separately, but I can't find how to create a new Notebook in iPad iOS 7, 2014.
  10. Every time i create a new note using my mobile apple products I have an arbitrary tagline populating at the bottom "vote for water and rust". Any idea how i can stop this, and, or why its happening. I'm sure its a simple fix, but I haven't been able to sort it out.
  11. I receive forms from students that I need to fill out and then return to someone via email. They are typically sent as a pdf (without form options to fill in). I add them to EN so I remember to do it but I want to be able to open it, fill it out (actually annotating since there are no form options), save it back to evernote for my records and email it to the person who needs it. I use PDF Expert for other annotations but it doesn't link to EN so it requires additional steps to open a document that is in EN and then more steps to save it back to EN. Any suggestions? I'm open to using a different app for annotation, just not sure what will sync to EN.
  12. You've recently changed this, but not enough. We can only select a dummy title which never varies, or one made up from Evernotes idea of location. What is needed is the autotitle made up out of the first words of the note. This is often a very clear indication of what's inside. This is also the way it works on Android, which has been very useful for a long time. Please add this from of autotitling back as a selection in the preferences. You will make a friend, and it seems likely many others, as this has been a very nice way Evernote works. Thank you.
  13. The latest version of iPad Evernote has broken the app, from Tags entry, at least on IOS 7. You can enter one, maybe two tags -- and then on adding a next tag, the entire app freezes. You can only break the locked screen by pulling Evernote out of multitasking to force a quit, or by rebooting the iPad. The only workaround is to bring up the extra Tags search box. You have to do this for each tag, but can successfully enter multiple tags from there at present. Thanks for your fix, as I use tags a lot, and am sure others do.
  14. I have an Apple Mini iPad Retina OS7.03 . I would like to know if there is a suggestion as to how much memory one should have to use Evernote successfully. I have been sitting at 10.5 for quite awhile. I don't use my iPad for music or pics. I have a feeling it isn't enough. I don't use it for business, mostly for hobbies. Any help would be appreciated. Dorothy
  15. Here's what happened: I used the webclipper (Safari) to save the content of three Wikipedia articles and a PDF, and then I also forwarded an email with flight information to my EN email address. All of these items went to "Inbox", which is my default notebook. After editing the email in EN on my iMac, I synchronized my account. I didn't check the Wikipedia articles, so I don't know if they were okay or not, but the email was exactly where it should have been. I then opened Evernote on my iPad. While it was syncing I hit the little elephant head icon, in the upper left of the window, to navigate back to the main menu, at which point Evernote froze and crashed. After opening it again it continued syncing without any further complications. About an hour later I opened "Inbox" on my iPad and discovered the following: Two of the notes that should have contained the Wikipedia articles were completely empty, only the titles and meta-information were intact. The third article and the PDF were okay. Furthermore, the note with the email no longer contained the email, but instead contained one of the Wikipedia articles, minus the images. Does anyone have any idea how this happened, and how I can avoid it? Luckily I didn't lose anything important this time, but this kind of glitch could prove to be catastrophic in the future.

  17. I use Evernote on my PC (Windows XP), iPhone and iPad. The last time I was editing the note was through the PC. I had my iPhone plugged into the computer at the time to charge, but was only running the Evernote desktop application on my PC to edit the note at that time. I shutdown my comp, took the computer to work, and now cannot find the note. The note is titled "Action Items." I've looked on my iPhone, the Windows application, the web application and my iPad. When I powered on my iPad this afternoon to search for the note, I briefly saw the note as EN started. However, the screen refreshed as if to refresh the current notes, and it was no longer there. I've checked the "Trash" on all devices and cannot find the note. Please help. I just submitted this ticket online, support ticket #351376 Thank you, Jonathan
  18. Hi, I have a client whose full notes appear on the iPad, but not on his desktop Evernote account..is there anything that he is not doing? Thanks Megan
  19. I have Evernote on my Mac, Android, & iPad. I accidentally deleted info, but only the Mac and Android have it removed. Luckily, my iPad hadn't synced in a couple of days, so it HAS all my lost info on it. I want to sync the iPad UP to the server and have that info override what's on the server currently. How do I proceed? Right now, I have syncing disabled for both Android & iPad until I find out what to do. Thanks!
  20. Hi. It would be really nice to be able to create a new notebook on iOS. I admit. It's not something I use everyday but when I need to it's something really silly to go to my Mac just for this purpose.
  21. I'm beginning to be a bit concerned about the amount of data I have in Penultimate. Is there any archiving of old notebooks? Obviously, they are sitting on Evernote anyway, so do I really need to store everything on my iPad?
  22. Hi all I wanted this thread to discuss the process and feedback from either Evernote or Adonit about Jot Script issues, not to talk about the issues themselves. Like many others I pre-ordered an Adonit / Evernote Jot Script when it was announced. I also just upgraded my iPad 2 to an Air, to take advantage of the Bluetooth support for the Script and better portability for note taking. To add to the problems, I had to wait 3 weeks for the pen to be delivered to Australia. Has there been any acknowledgement from Evernote about the issues we're experiencing? I'd like to believe that the experience will improve with firmware updates to the app, but without some acknowledgement that someone is listening I can't see that happening. The product has both logos on there so I see the two companies both having responsibility for the product working. Look forward to hearing from Evernote and the community on here.
  23. I want to be able to view my notebooks in cards on the iPad as my home screen, similar to the desktop version (see pic). Can it still do this or is it gone?
  24. Greetings, Has anyone found an alternate to Quickoffice for the iPad with regard to editing office documents that are embedded into notes. Previously Quckoffice had a feature to link your EN account into it's cloud services area and then you could browse notebooks and open word documents right from the app. This was nice because there was no "round trip" needed within iOS. When you saved it, the document just saved right into the note. This was perfect for my workflow as I do store a lot of MS Word docs in Evernote notes. Well.. Then Google purchased Quickoffice and mucked everything up. Now the only cloud service that's offered to link is Google Drive. While GDrive is a nice service it doesn't replace EN and I want to keep using my existing workflow. My question to the users here is has anyone found an app that functions similar to the way Quickoffice used to work? Thanks in advance. Tom
  25. Can't figure it out. While working on a project that involves a lot of copy & paste from a web site to Evernote on my iPad Air, sometimes the "Save to Evernote" option is available (using the little square with the arrow at the top of the page, with AirDrop, Bookmark, etc.), & sometimes it isn't. When it is, it saves me a tremendous amount of work, as the pages are so long as to require multiple copy segments. Being able to clip the whole page is wonderful, when it is there. I can't figure out what I need to do to make it show up. Can someone help me, please? BTW, I absolutely LOVE Evernote! Thanks in advance -
