  3. Hi! We just released a new version of the Cooliris mobile app yesterday with support for your Evernote photos, which means you can now access all of the photos from your Evernote on your iPad and iPhone in our stunning Cooliris 3D wall experience. Would love for you all to try it out and let us know your feedback on this initial integration. Some cool features in the app: We integrated Evernote search so you can easily search your photos using the name of the image, note or notebook, and also using the text recognition search feature to find any text of handwritings in your photos You can share your Evernote photos directly to Facebook or for more private viewing, send them to a group of friends or anyone in your family in private conversations. You can also easily transfer photos across multiple services. Bulk save photos your Evernote photos to your iPhone/iPad, Dropbox or Google Drive as you wish! The Cooliris app is free in the iTunes App Store. To connect Evernote to the Cooliris app, just tap the [+] icon on the home screen of Cooliris and select Evernote. We love to hear your use cases for how you use Evernote to collect photos, and any features you think would be kickass for the Evernote experience in Cooliris. Also, quick survey - should we add Business Notebooks and Shared notebooks for the next release? Would love to know how many Evernote users would want to see this! Cheers, Derek
  4. Hello - So I've been trying to figure this out on my own and figured that I would like to ask the experts their thoughts! Situation: Real Estate agent has too many buyers and is leveraging her team to help them show client's housesProperties that they see are in a PDFNeed to use app that will allow clients to take notes etc. on PDF Sync the app with Evernote for team leader to review likes, dislikes, etc. I've looked at a couple of the apps out there that work well, but they all seem to have 1 shortcoming or another. In addition to the situation outlined above it would be excellent to be able to do the following: Select which notebook the PDF will sync to when exported from App (i.e. sync to a particular client's name) - could be done with tags too.Would allow other people to add notes to the files in evernoteThanks in advance for all the help! (attached is the PDF that we would be annotating) Cloud Buyer Tour w. Notes (short).pdf
  5. I just started using Skitch today and have run into something kind of confusing. I was annotating a PDF and when I tried to move my annotation up to the previous page, it moved *behind* the previous page of the PDF and now I can't get it back. Is there a "move forward" or "move backward" feature I'm missing? Why did it go behind the page rather than on top of it? How do I get my note back? I honestly can't tell if this is a bug or a feature, and since I don't see anybody else mentioning it anywhere else on the internet and didn't see it in the Skitch guide, I'm at a total loss. (Oh, and I tried to "undo" the move but nothing happened. I think it undid a bunch of my writing in the note, but it didn't return it back to its original position,)
  6. I was wondering if anyone had looked at anytodo - the app for ipad and iphone. What I like about it is that it very simply works by using evernote's folders and tags to organize your tasks. It seems to focus on working with evernote - so you can get your tasks either in your evernote app or in the anytodo app. Has anyone tried this one?
  8. Our students all have iPads with iWorks on them. We are using the notebooks feature in Evernote to organize by subject. When a student sends a file from Pages, Numbers or Keynote, we cannot move the file into the notebook. Is there a way to do that?
  9. Hi I love evernote. However I have found it is virtually unusable on my new iPad mini,, as it seems to format web pages as though my iPad was an iPhone, only showing me a small rectagular area in lanscape mode and making the writing appear very small in portrait mode also. I don't know if this is a formatting issue, but there doesn't seem to be a way to get the page to resize to full screen in lanscape mode, evernote simply presents the page in what it thinks is an appropriate scale, making the page all but impossible to read, particularly if like me you don't have great eyesight. There is however a potential resolution for this. he guys over at Readability.com have largely solved this problem in a similar way that Opera Mini does, by allowing the user to copy the page and have it reformated via the cloud, to ensure that it is as clear and as readable as possible on smaller devices. You can find this app here. Please look at it and consider incorporating this functionality into evernote: http://www.readability.com They also provide bookmarklets for Safari that allow the reader to 'read the page now', 'read it later' (or save it for offline reading), or to 'send to Kindle', which alows the cleaned up page to be sent to a kindle device. The read later feature is a bit like some of the features of Evernote. However clearly evernote has many more useful features and also a lot more staying power diue to the sheer size of its userbase and the resources at it's disposal to really develop features like this. Please, please incorportate this functionality into Evernote, as I am currently not able at all to use it on my newly purchaced device.
  10. Looking for feedback on the potential of adding annotation capability to the iOS version of Evernote. Currently on the android version, I can open Evernote, start a note, snap a picture, open the picture, annotate the picture, save the picture and continue with my note...all within Evernote. All of this is possible on my iPad, except the picture annotation feature. This would be a tremendous help to my company. Any feedback would be great! Thanks, Chris
  11. Hi everyone: I've recently started using EN, and in the last few days, I've started using Skitch. I came across two things that, for me, are problematic: - After creating something in Skitch, and sending it to EN, I can't move it from the Skitch notebook to another notebook. - I can't open up something created in Skitch, and edit it (e.g. add text). As mentioned, I'm new at this - am I missing something, or is the functionality not there? Cheers,
  12. Hi everyone. I am new to Eernote and have been trying to download web clipper onto my ipad2 but all I get is "error in communicating with Evernote servers" ... Every time. What is going on? How can I fix this? Please help.
  13. Under 2.0 It seems that my iPad "owns" the image and note and I can't edit title / edit image / open etc. while using EN on my pc. I use skitch several times a day between my phone and ipad - sync up to my computers for editing / filing etc. This would include changing the note title. Under 2.0 - I have to use the device that created the image to edit the note title - wth? I get an error - pic attached. Right Clicking on the image on my pc does not bring up the same menu options as pics taken before this update. Previously I could open / edit / crop etc... and save back into the note. Please fix. - It was working AWESOME before this change. If it ain't broke...It don't need fixing.
  14. I want to log in with my Skitch account but it will only let you use your Evernote account. Could you please make it that you can also log-in with the Skitch account itself just like you can in the Mac App?
  15. http://tabtimes.com/news/education/2012/02/20/apples-ipad-helps-improve-kindergarten-literacy-maine A study conducted at a school district in Auburn, Maine has found that Apple's iPad can be used to help improve kindergartner literacy scores. Meanwhile, in a separate announcement, a school in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, has revealed its initial findings from its own iPad pilot program. Sherwood Middle School rolled-out 53 iPads to students and teachers from 1st December last year. Teachers at the school say that the iPad has allowed them to maximise the time spent on teaching the lesson, rather than distributing materials, with Evernote often is use to save notes and projects across multiple devices. Evernote is also being used so that students can access and submit assignments. The teachers say that they and the students rely on around ten apps in all, including Apple’s Keynote and ShowMe – an interactive whiteboard app. The teachers add that there have been few behavioural problems with the tablet, with the odd occasion relating to students forgetting to bring their tablets to school, or emailing friends during class. Of the 53 tablets handed out, three have been damaged.
  16. Educators tout success of Shrewsbury iPad experiment http://www.telegram....LATE=TOWNPORTAL According to the teachers, the devices allow them to maximize the amount of time spent on teaching the lesson, rather than distributing materials and worrying about students who have lost their assignments. Using Evernote, a program that allows users to save notes and projects across multiple devices, teachers can post assignments or documents that students can access on their own iPads. Evernote also allows teachers to have a record of assignments that students have submitted, which minimizes the chances that such documents will be lost. “It's fitting in seamlessly,” said Ms. McMahon, noting the intuitive nature of the devices. “We're not teaching the technology, we're teaching the subjects.” Mr. Middlesworth pointed out that the devices have saved a great deal of paper, and time photocopying, since work can be assigned and completed digitally. The students said they have less need for binders and notebooks, since those are provided by some of the iPad apps.

  18. Just a thought about another great usage for Evernote is for forms. Sometimes we have forms we work with to organize procedures, for example upgrade production environment, backup and restore checkup, etc. Would be nice to create the form on the PC / Mac and have it ready on the iPad whenever needed. But in order to have this feature amazing, I am missing to options on the iPad. First one would be to add TextArea object, same as the checkbox, but this is for places in the form needed to be input in text. Since the form is uneditable on the iPad, would be great just to be able to enter few fields for date, status, etc. The second feature is duplicate a note. As the form will be saved as a template, each time we will use it we will create a copy and give it a name for the current procedure. This will be awesome if these features could become available. Please just think about it... Thanks, Dvir
