  1. Is anyone else finding they are having CONSTANT formatting issues with Evernote? For ALL versions? Things such as: List formatting, if I click to start a list (numbered or otherwise) it instead starts the list several lines above (Even if I have several hard returns or double spaced returns between the lines) Weird/abrupt formatting changes. Many times if I have a list that isn't functioning properly I'll try backspacing to the previous line and then "returning" to make it a separate line to fix the list, and all of a sudden my text will be Several sizes larger and bold Often when you select a different size or formatting for a peice of text (bold, underlined, etc.) it simply won't change. This happens especially often on the iOS versions when you try to select "Heading" or other Theme Formats [*]Copying paste from anywhere else and pasting it into evernote causes all of these problems to be exponentially worse. Not to be sarcastic, but if the Evernote text formatting code worked even half as good as the text box in this forum post I'd be happy. Anyone else having these issues?
  2. I want to log in with my Skitch account but it will only let you use your Evernote account. Could you please make it that you can also log-in with the Skitch account itself just like you can in the Mac App?
  3. http://tabtimes.com/news/education/2012/02/20/apples-ipad-helps-improve-kindergarten-literacy-maine A study conducted at a school district in Auburn, Maine has found that Apple's iPad can be used to help improve kindergartner literacy scores. Meanwhile, in a separate announcement, a school in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, has revealed its initial findings from its own iPad pilot program. Sherwood Middle School rolled-out 53 iPads to students and teachers from 1st December last year. Teachers at the school say that the iPad has allowed them to maximise the time spent on teaching the lesson, rather than distributing materials, with Evernote often is use to save notes and projects across multiple devices. Evernote is also being used so that students can access and submit assignments. The teachers say that they and the students rely on around ten apps in all, including Apple’s Keynote and ShowMe – an interactive whiteboard app. The teachers add that there have been few behavioural problems with the tablet, with the odd occasion relating to students forgetting to bring their tablets to school, or emailing friends during class. Of the 53 tablets handed out, three have been damaged.
  4. I've been using EN for almost two years and am about to set my not-so-techie wife up with her own account -- she's decided she wants to digitize the family recipes handed down to her from her Mom and Nana -- a box full of 3x5's and scraps of paper. I have MY EN installed on my laptop, and she'll have her's on HER laptop -- I'm not expecting much confusion there. But, how will it work on the single iPad 2 that we both share? I alreadxy have the EN app on the tablet. Do we somehow have to set up a 2nd install? ...or is this the sort of thing where we use the single app but must log in individually? Sorry, I know this is most likely a REAL NEWBIE question. But, like I said, my wife is non-tech and for years I was the only one in the house who would even TOUCH a compouter so I never had to mess around with multiple user accounts logins and such. I'd dive in and just try to go on this but I've recently had some sync problems with EN and so am a bit gun-shy about creating trouble. Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions! 5. Educators tout success of Shrewsbury iPad experiment http://www.telegram....LATE=TOWNPORTAL According to the teachers, the devices allow them to maximize the amount of time spent on teaching the lesson, rather than distributing materials and worrying about students who have lost their assignments. Using Evernote, a program that allows users to save notes and projects across multiple devices, teachers can post assignments or documents that students can access on their own iPads. Evernote also allows teachers to have a record of assignments that students have submitted, which minimizes the chances that such documents will be lost. “It's fitting in seamlessly,” said Ms. McMahon, noting the intuitive nature of the devices. “We're not teaching the technology, we're teaching the subjects.” Mr. Middlesworth pointed out that the devices have saved a great deal of paper, and time photocopying, since work can be assigned and completed digitally. The students said they have less need for binders and notebooks, since those are provided by some of the iPad apps.

  7. I saw this morning that Evernote has released two new apps for the iPad. One is intended to aid in remembering and sharing dining experiences, and the other is intended to aid in the remembering of people's faces. Yes, these may be nice and even creative elements in the Evernote repertoire. But has Evernote pursued these at the expense of refinements to the editor suggested in the many fine threads in this forum? I would rather see Evernote remain a thick, strong, beefy, robust product than a thin, fishy, wiry product. Don't become the Google of notes. Remember your roots! Just my 2 cents.
  8. Just a thought about another great usage for Evernote is for forms. Sometimes we have forms we work with to organize procedures, for example upgrade production environment, backup and restore checkup, etc. Would be nice to create the form on the PC / Mac and have it ready on the iPad whenever needed. But in order to have this feature amazing, I am missing to options on the iPad. First one would be to add TextArea object, same as the checkbox, but this is for places in the form needed to be input in text. Since the form is uneditable on the iPad, would be great just to be able to enter few fields for date, status, etc. The second feature is duplicate a note. As the form will be saved as a template, each time we will use it we will create a copy and give it a name for the current procedure. This will be awesome if these features could become available. Please just think about it... Thanks, Dvir
