  1. Educators tout success of Shrewsbury iPad experiment http://www.telegram....LATE=TOWNPORTAL According to the teachers, the devices allow them to maximize the amount of time spent on teaching the lesson, rather than distributing materials and worrying about students who have lost their assignments. Using Evernote, a program that allows users to save notes and projects across multiple devices, teachers can post assignments or documents that students can access on their own iPads. Evernote also allows teachers to have a record of assignments that students have submitted, which minimizes the chances that such documents will be lost. “It's fitting in seamlessly,” said Ms. McMahon, noting the intuitive nature of the devices. “We're not teaching the technology, we're teaching the subjects.” Mr. Middlesworth pointed out that the devices have saved a great deal of paper, and time photocopying, since work can be assigned and completed digitally. The students said they have less need for binders and notebooks, since those are provided by some of the iPad apps.

  3. I saw this morning that Evernote has released two new apps for the iPad. One is intended to aid in remembering and sharing dining experiences, and the other is intended to aid in the remembering of people's faces. Yes, these may be nice and even creative elements in the Evernote repertoire. But has Evernote pursued these at the expense of refinements to the editor suggested in the many fine threads in this forum? I would rather see Evernote remain a thick, strong, beefy, robust product than a thin, fishy, wiry product. Don't become the Google of notes. Remember your roots! Just my 2 cents.
  4. Just a thought about another great usage for Evernote is for forms. Sometimes we have forms we work with to organize procedures, for example upgrade production environment, backup and restore checkup, etc. Would be nice to create the form on the PC / Mac and have it ready on the iPad whenever needed. But in order to have this feature amazing, I am missing to options on the iPad. First one would be to add TextArea object, same as the checkbox, but this is for places in the form needed to be input in text. Since the form is uneditable on the iPad, would be great just to be able to enter few fields for date, status, etc. The second feature is duplicate a note. As the form will be saved as a template, each time we will use it we will create a copy and give it a name for the current procedure. This will be awesome if these features could become available. Please just think about it... Thanks, Dvir
