  1. Sketch is broken when using the Apple Pencil. Appears to ignore every other Pencil input. Ink is fairly low resolution also. iPad Pro 10.5
  2. ... tomorrow afternoon? Why does this take so long? Why does it seem to be of apparently such a low priority? Is ist too difficult to implement, is there too little development capacity, or is there really too little public interest in this features? Strangely, every new iOS version (and to a certain degree also OSX version) brings other "cloudy" surprises: first a grey on grey tag cloud, and now, even "cloudier", different colors for weighing my tags, i guess to tell me how often I use each one of them. Seems as if my iPhone wants to tell me: "Don't read, just look at those nice colors - you do not remember your tags anyway". Second thought: this must be a contest! "Look, this tag is veeery dark green. You really made it to write this tag 12 times with the same letters on each of your notes. Congrats, pal". Tag, tag, tag, where do you go from here. Back on earth, what really bothers me now (apart from the meaning of life): Can one honestly keep a clear view after years in evernote, without a good sorted tag structure? - I'd like not only to search and find a note, I want to review my notes. - When my contexts are changing, my brain is changing. Fragments are changing place. Tags have to change. I must have an overview of my tags. Without hierarchy, my tags are in a black hole. - I do sort my notes hierarchically in windows, in the web, and with some more troubles even on the mac. Why not on the iPad. What I'd like to see is well organized content. What I see is stylish design with nice clouds, attracting people to throw notes at and forget about 100% everything. I heard there is a evernote version called "for business"...?
  3. When I initiate a search within an open note, it takes a while for the number of found results to register. So at first it seems like there either weren’t any results, or the operation didn’t take. But the really frustrating part is that the note doesn’t automatically scroll to the first instance of the found search result. This is then further exacerbated by the search term not highlighting at all, and/or (because the results are inconsistent) the arrows not moving through the note to show where the other instances are. My use case: I searched for a single word that I saw present in the first paragraph. There were three matches found, displaying this at the top: “ < 1 of 3 >” The very first instance in the first paragraph was highlighted. However, when I clicked either of the arrows to view the other matches, the note did not move. I had to manually scroll to find, which is clunky and fraught, given the speed of swiping and the lengthiness of the note. I find thIs same behavior in searching all notes. If I select one of the results, the note doesn’t then load with the search result highlighted in context. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I found this to be a problem in the last beta version, and it continues to be a problem in 10.0.
  4. The new iOS version of Evernote (10.0) fails to sync properly with other versions including Android & Windows. To duplicate the bug, make a new note on the iOS version, put in a title, and type or paste some text. Hit the green check to save and then open Evernote on Android or Windows; you'll only see the title and not any of the text as seen in the screenshot. If you go back to the iOS version and edit the text in the note, the Android version might show the text but only to the previous first edit. The error does not occur in reverse though; if you create the note on Android, it will sync properly with the iOS version as long as you don't edit the note on iOS.
  5. Please restore the filter bar at the top of the note list; it was dropped in V10.0 The previous version included a text search box and tag filter (thanks @stocky2605) The current version is
  6. I'd like to know how the "Join Date" that is now displayed on mobile (nice touch!) is determined. It appears that it is tied to the first note that is appearing in your account that falls within the range of Evernote's existence (I seem to have some notes that were created in 1970 and 2002??). Anyhow, if you remove those outlier notes, the first note that is appearing in my account is from July 2011, so that seems logical that is where the date stamp derived from. And, although not a critical issue, the date is incorrect (my join date was in Oct 2009). I assume this is because my first Evernote note over was migrated over to Evernote Business when I went to that tier of service, so my true start date isn't reflected on the Premium side of my account. I thought I could correct/update the join date by moving my "Welcome to Evernote" note (my first note, which was living over in my Business account) back over to the personal side of my account and syncing. I've done that, but my join date hasn't updated. So, maybe the join date isn't calculated from the date of your first note? Or maybe it finds it once, and doesn't update it again? Curious how it works, and also if it can be updated?
  7. This "update" very much slower than the previous version. Please indicate how to downgrade. This version is really buggy as well.\ Sadly, not ready for prime time.
  8. On my iPad under displays and brightness -text size I have enlarged the dynamic type which causes the problem in the attached picture rending that info unreadable. Problem did not exist with previous version.
  9. Story: "As a user, I want to easily switch between existing Evernote accounts, on my iOS devices, so that I can easily access notes from several accounts without having to share or mix them in the same account." Acceptance Criteria: - From the Evernote iOS app for iPhone or iPad, users can add multiple account credentials - New account credentials are stored on the device - Users can select an account already added to switch to that account. - Users can delete account that they want to remove from the device. - Removing accounts from the device removes them from the list of accounts and deletes all the associated data. - Supports a mix of accounts using varying authentication schemes; single and 2-phase authentication/ Please update, and or supplement .. Thanks Erick Crowell,
  10. I just wanted to say, I've have been using the beta app and macOS beta app and a huge congratulations to the whole team getting here and building an Evernote for now and tomorrow. Looking forward to what you will deliver next. I so appreciate you providing this service. 🥰
  11. Dear Evernote iOS development team, Please include nested tags / hierarchy into the iOS version! I finally made the move to become a premium user after discovering the the usefulness of tag nesting / hierarchy in organising notes on the Mac Evernote. Just about to port all my notes into evernote, then I realised the iOS version can't see the nested / heirarchy structure !! aagh and I've just paid for a whole year subscription ...bummer~ I understand there are tonnes of requests out there, but this seems to be a crucial notes organisation feature to be considered for inclusion? Please add this feature in line with the desktop apps please? My setup: Mac Evernote (on iMac) - for work at home iOS 8 Evernote (on iPad + keyboard) - for taking notes during work and conferences.
  12. In pre 10.0 iOS clients, images (such as a Post-It Note) could be used as an auto-link to open a new note. NOW in the new client, the URL text for that auto- image is shown just below the image (functions like the Mac client was, for a while as I recall, or may still). The end result gets you where you want to go, but the UI is not as elegant. Here's the use case: (and you guys may have the guy from....Germany maybe, who created a YouTube vid showing how he uses multiple Post-It notes to act essentially as a dashboard, linking notes to each Post-It Note, with a nice clean UI where it all looks cool. Now - ***** - no more. The Post-It note is there (yay) but sadly now also the internal URL that the image links to (boo). AND - not only do we now see the ugly URL, the actual IMAGE - in my case, the Post-It notes, don't function at all. They have become static images. Double-boo. Let's go UX folks - get on this.
  13. Hi Team, congratulations for V10! I just downloaded it, went to „all notes“ and „reminders view“ - there is a problem. If you want to see reminders due today (or earlier) you first see all notes with an active reminder without a date & time set, a lot of work to scroll down to see the reminders with a due date. Changing sort order doesn‘t help because then I see the notes with the latest due date first. Problem is: Notes set with a reminder without date & time are shown before those notes with a date & time - you should reverse this, please - show first notes with a due date and then those without.
  14. Problem with PassCode and TouchId Security The last used note is displayed before the security feature kicks in
  15. I use Evernote extensively on my Mac, iPad Pro, and iPhone. We use shared notebooks in my office and I have a ScanSnap Evernote Edition sitting on my desk. (I even have Evernote desk accessories sitting next to the scanner.) I'm pretty well immersed in the world of Evernote. However, I've found myself turning to other tools, most recently OneNote, with greater frequency. The main issue, and it is a big one for me, is the fragmented and inferior support for note taking and PDF editing in Evernote. I use my iPad Pro with Apple Pencil extensively. There are some great Pencil-compatible apps for iOS, including Notability, PDF Expert, and OneNote. Evernote, on the other hand, is stuck with a strange and fragmented approach: PDFs can by opened using the "Annotate" tool in Evernote, which I think is built around the remnants of Skitch. It's fine for adding arrows and icons, but terrible (unusable) for handwritten notes on PDFs. It really can't be used for anything more than simple highlighting -- certainly not detailed annotation or note taking. Drawings and notes can be added to an Evernote Note directly through the handwriting tool, but this simply inserts an image into the note. There's no way to use this tool to take notes over multiple pages, or to use it for annotation as far as I can tell. I've also found it to the buggy, with full pages of notes lost if you switch away from Evernote to another app before saving the image and returning to the normal notes view. I will say that that, though the tool is very limited, with very few options, the Pencil support works well and writing is fluid. This tool seems to have the most potential for future development. Finally, there is Penultimate -- a separate app I want to love but is just too buggy, too limited, and too walled off from the rest of Evernote to be truly useful. Again, no support for importing PDFs/annotation, yet another approach to handwriting, and, though the Penultimate notes live in Evernote, nothing can be done with them in the main app. Why, at this stage, would Evernote have three separate, incompatible and incongruous approaches to annotation/note taking, none of which begin to match the functionality of some of the other apps named? Attached PDFs can certainly be opened in other apps, such as PDF Expert, but there is no way to get the annotated PDFs back into an Evernote note without deleting the original attachment and reattaching the PDF. That's cumbersome, and annotation seems like pretty basic functionality that Evernote should offer. Evernote certainly has some broader advantages over OneNote, but really needs to explore something like the "canvas" style approach used by OneNote. The ability to "print" PDFs to a OneNote page and then markup the document itself and take notes/add text/etc. all on one page is invaluable. I've pretty much switched all note taking/PDF annotation to OneNote, with Evernote still used for project management and other organizational needs, which leaves me with my own fragmentation. Maybe I'm missing something in Evernote's approach, but I'm a longtime user that's completely frustrated with Evernote's inferior support for annotation and handwritten notes.
  16. Hope to be able to create & edit table in iPad or even iPhone like what I can do in Mac.
  17. On Mac and iOS, for documents with many Skitch annotations, the annotation summary presents as a single page that includes only the first ~20 annotations. Is this a known problem?
  18. Hi guys. Is like to know if there's a way to save a MP4 or mov from an Evernote note on iOS to the iPhone library. My only option is to watch the videos from the note, can't find any other action that I can usually do with the share feature on iOS (like save, share on other app, etc). Thanks in advance.
  19. Hi, I am using Penultimate with the jot script stylus to take notes for my classes in college. Yesterday, I was in class and I wanted to copy and paste an important section from a PDF I was reading using the PDF Expert 5 app on my iPad to my Penultimate note. I was able to copy the desired section from the PDF and paste it into the Apple notes app for iPad but I was not able to paste the relevant section into my open Penultimate note. Is this not possible in Penultimate to allow me to copy and paste typed text on my iPad? If this is the case can you please make this possible in the future, this would help me greatly for my classes.
  20. I’m trying to search on my iPad with the terms in quotation marks, because I’m looking for the exact literal phrase: for example, “green bell peppers”, with the quotation marks included when I type in the search box. But Evernote is giving me plenty of results that just have “bell” or “bell peppers”, not the whole phrase. Is this expected behavior? Should I do something else if I want to search for an exact phrase? Thanks!
  21. Hello, When sorting notes by date created, the newest Notes show up at the top. When sorting by title, the sort order is reversed. I would like to request that short order be customizable. I use dates (in the format of 161203, for a note created today), in the titles of my notes, and it would be very useful to be able to see the newest notes at the top, not just the bottom.
  22. When saving a pdf from Safari (tab containing full-page pdf) using the Evernote share extension, I get the pop-up window and fill in title /notebook / tags When I open Evernote, the note has been created, but contains an empty pdf (only 60kB) Anyone having similar issues ? Running latest versions of IPadOS & Evernote on an 11’’ iPad Pro
  23. Those who newly register think that they shall have to pay a monthly fee, and it is not made clear enough that they have the option to use the application for FREE. This is a pity. Can you change that, please, so that members clearly know that the monthly payment is OPTIONAL?
  24. On my IPhone (IOS 7), Some times when I'm trying to view my notes, the display works differently than normal. It doesn't wrap the words around in the display area. And it has pinch and pull. It can come right, and I think it does when you close the app and reload it.
