  1. The web clipping with iOS is weak, compared to the web clipper capabilities on the desktop clients. To improve web clipping on iPad and iPhone I use this nice shortcut for iOS that is clipping sites from Safari and creates a lean, clean note from the clipped stuff. It usually does exclude all the adds and clutter, comes with a reader-type layout and copies pictures and working links that are in the original website as well. The only downside I have found up to now is that it takes several seconds to execute. But the result makes up for this. I hope this link to the iCloud is working for everybody who wants to install the shortcut to the shortcuts App. It will show in the share menu in Safari: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/0d6e466b4b1444549da81ddc6f90b82d
  2. I have a numbered list in a note. I wish to indent an item. On my laptop, I would press the tab key. There is no tab key on iOS. How to indent on iOS? Thank you for any help!
  3. How can I insert tables in Evernote for iOS? Is there a work around that would allow me to insert tables? Thanks!
  4. This is an old question but it exactly describes what's happening to me. Lenovo T470 Windows 10 Pro Notebook is shared with one other user who is not viewing or editing I have made a list of lines of text and gone back to flesh them out (my "headings") If I press enter twice, everything south of the cursor is deleted, as well as several lines above where the cursor is. The same behavior is exhibited whether the "heading" is in with plain text with underlined text with bold text is a list item or not is a numbered item or not
  5. Hello, When sorting notes by date created, the newest Notes show up at the top. When sorting by title, the sort order is reversed. I would like to request that short order be customizable. I use dates (in the format of 161203, for a note created today), in the titles of my notes, and it would be very useful to be able to see the newest notes at the top, not just the bottom.
  6. Dear Evernote iOS development team, Please include nested tags / hierarchy into the iOS version! I finally made the move to become a premium user after discovering the the usefulness of tag nesting / hierarchy in organising notes on the Mac Evernote. Just about to port all my notes into evernote, then I realised the iOS version can't see the nested / heirarchy structure !! aagh and I've just paid for a whole year subscription ...bummer~ I understand there are tonnes of requests out there, but this seems to be a crucial notes organisation feature to be considered for inclusion? Please add this feature in line with the desktop apps please? My setup: Mac Evernote (on iMac) - for work at home iOS 8 Evernote (on iPad + keyboard) - for taking notes during work and conferences.
  7. I realize this may be a limited-use case, but it would really help me if there was the ability to split a note at the cursor. Example: I have emails sent from a certain website directly to Evernote. They have multiple stories/quotes that I want saved as individual notes. Now, I have to select, copy, create new note, paste, etc. Would be nice to simply invoke a command to split the note at the cursor, then add title, tags, and put in proper notebook.
  8. Evernote allows links with http://, evernote:/// and now file:/// url schemes. That's great—I love being able to link to other notes in Evernote, and files on my hard drive, in addition to pages on the web. But Evernote disallows other url schemes. The "OK" button is greyed out. This feature would be really useful, and I use it across a bunch of other apps I use. Use message:// urls to link to specific emails in Apple's Mail app. Right now, I end up just pasting the raw link in the body of the note. Ironically, iOS parses these and makes them tappable, and they work perfectly, linking to the specified email, but on the Mac, you can't get this.Using papers:// links to link to specific journal articles in the Papers app.Linking to projects in OmniFocus with omnifocus:///.The other kind of frustrating wrinkle is that you can get these URLs into Evernote—some other apps that export notes to Evernote create them. They work, but you can't edit them. You can also use them in a note's source link. What's the likelihood of allowing any old URL scheme in a note? Surely if I want to use it, I probably know what I'm doing.
  9. Would it be possible to make changes to the table format that would allow adjusting the row height? At present, table column width can be altered. The row height seems to locked and is much bigger than in the past. We have a form that was designed a couple years ago using tables. Unfortunately, some of those tables are no longer compatible with the upgrades that have transpired. The current row height takes up twice as much space as the old format and thus would make our forms very large and more difficult to use. Thank you for your support
  10. Your feedback is always welcome. Release notes: New: Dark mode in Evernote is now set through system settings in iOS 13 Fixed: We came; we saw; we conquered bugs.
  11. Sorry for the delay — 8.24.2 Release Notes are the same as 8.24.1: New: Dark mode in Evernote is now set through system settings in iOS 13 Fixed: We came; we saw; we conquered bugs. As always, we welcome your feedback!
  12. Story: "As a user, I want to easily switch between existing Evernote accounts, on my iOS devices, so that I can easily access notes from several accounts without having to share or mix them in the same account." Acceptance Criteria: - From the Evernote iOS app for iPhone or iPad, users can add multiple account credentials - New account credentials are stored on the device - Users can select an account already added to switch to that account. - Users can delete account that they want to remove from the device. - Removing accounts from the device removes them from the list of accounts and deletes all the associated data. - Supports a mix of accounts using varying authentication schemes; single and 2-phase authentication/ Please update, and or supplement .. Thanks Erick Crowell,
  13. I'm seeing how much actual work I can get done on my new iPad 5th generation with a keyboard case. It seems quite a lot! One question though. On my Mac Evernote client I am able to add horizontal lines to separate sections in a note. I don't see that in Evernote for my iPad. Is that feature available in the iPad client?
  14. This is close to my last straw with Evernote. Trying to save to Evernote no longer works on either iPhone or my iPad. Click save to on an article you want took save, click the Evernote icon from the range of resulting options, the little compass comes up, saving circle completes, the just stays in never ending saving. Nothing gets posted to Evernote. Amy help appreciated
  15. All of a sudden today the annotation tools are grayed out on any new documents on my iPad Pro, leaving me with no annotation tools. I have reinstalled the program, downloaded and trashed and re-uploaded and synced the documents to no avail. I can continue annotating old documents, not just new ones. I need this now! I am also a Premium member.
  16. On Mac and iOS, for documents with many Skitch annotations, the annotation summary presents as a single page that includes only the first ~20 annotations. Is this a known problem?
  17. I downloaded the Scannable app from app store and try to log in to my Evernote account for saving pdf files, but failed several times getting "The service encountered an error. Please try again later" I have tried several times to remove the apps (scannable and evernote) and download them again but still doesn't help. Not sure if there's any setting problem that I didn't notice before or what? Phone: iPhone 7Plus Version: ios 11.2.5
  18. I use Evernote extensively on my Mac, iPad Pro, and iPhone. We use shared notebooks in my office and I have a ScanSnap Evernote Edition sitting on my desk. (I even have Evernote desk accessories sitting next to the scanner.) I'm pretty well immersed in the world of Evernote. However, I've found myself turning to other tools, most recently OneNote, with greater frequency. The main issue, and it is a big one for me, is the fragmented and inferior support for note taking and PDF editing in Evernote. I use my iPad Pro with Apple Pencil extensively. There are some great Pencil-compatible apps for iOS, including Notability, PDF Expert, and OneNote. Evernote, on the other hand, is stuck with a strange and fragmented approach: PDFs can by opened using the "Annotate" tool in Evernote, which I think is built around the remnants of Skitch. It's fine for adding arrows and icons, but terrible (unusable) for handwritten notes on PDFs. It really can't be used for anything more than simple highlighting -- certainly not detailed annotation or note taking. Drawings and notes can be added to an Evernote Note directly through the handwriting tool, but this simply inserts an image into the note. There's no way to use this tool to take notes over multiple pages, or to use it for annotation as far as I can tell. I've also found it to the buggy, with full pages of notes lost if you switch away from Evernote to another app before saving the image and returning to the normal notes view. I will say that that, though the tool is very limited, with very few options, the Pencil support works well and writing is fluid. This tool seems to have the most potential for future development. Finally, there is Penultimate -- a separate app I want to love but is just too buggy, too limited, and too walled off from the rest of Evernote to be truly useful. Again, no support for importing PDFs/annotation, yet another approach to handwriting, and, though the Penultimate notes live in Evernote, nothing can be done with them in the main app. Why, at this stage, would Evernote have three separate, incompatible and incongruous approaches to annotation/note taking, none of which begin to match the functionality of some of the other apps named? Attached PDFs can certainly be opened in other apps, such as PDF Expert, but there is no way to get the annotated PDFs back into an Evernote note without deleting the original attachment and reattaching the PDF. That's cumbersome, and annotation seems like pretty basic functionality that Evernote should offer. Evernote certainly has some broader advantages over OneNote, but really needs to explore something like the "canvas" style approach used by OneNote. The ability to "print" PDFs to a OneNote page and then markup the document itself and take notes/add text/etc. all on one page is invaluable. I've pretty much switched all note taking/PDF annotation to OneNote, with Evernote still used for project management and other organizational needs, which leaves me with my own fragmentation. Maybe I'm missing something in Evernote's approach, but I'm a longtime user that's completely frustrated with Evernote's inferior support for annotation and handwritten notes.
  19. I searched and didn't see this feature request. last night on the tube I selected some text and was nudged ... all the selected text was deleted I know I can go to the laptop app and recover - provided I pay for Premium - however surely an undo button would make sense. I hardly ever use my laptop so an in-app function would help
  20. When I send a note via email, the same (old) list of "recent" recipients pops up. It never updates with more recently used addresses and I can't figure out how to delete the old ones. This occurs when I'm using my iPad. Thoughts?
  21. Is there a way to photo a business card and have it share info with my main contacts list. Using IPhone 5 and ipad2.
  22. hi i love penultimate. there are tons of sketch apps and i've tried many of them. penultimate is the best because its simple and easy to use and because of the great evernote and dropbox integration. HOWEVER ... there is a really annoying bug. i'm using the apple IPAD PRO with apple PENCIL. when i surround a part of a sketch and move it ... little bits and pieces are left behind. this is really annoying and almost renders this great APP useless. any plans on fixing this? thanks al
  23. I'm running Evernote 8.5.1.358501 on iPad with iOS 11.1. When opening a note fullscreen in landscape mode there are broad margins to the left and right of the note content which reduce the usefulness of the fullscreen view. My use case is a songbook where I use a table with multiple columns (2-3) to allow me to see the whole song lyrics without having to scroll (good-bye Ultimate Guitar ;-)). Currently the unused margins to the left and right of the table easily take up 40% of horizontal screen real-estate so multi-column tables do not expand to the full screen width. Please remove these margins in an upcoming release for iPad (they're not present or much smaller on iPhone).
  24. At the bottom of a note, please add virtual scroll space from the content so it is easier to 'click and type' more content. This would be especially useful on iOS; placing the cursor just past the last line of text can be maddeningly frustrating, and (when I remember) I will just hit return several times to give myself buffer at the end of the note.
  25. I just downloaded Evernote 8.0.351713 for iPhone and discovered that I have lost the Atlas (or Map) feature. This was one of my favorite features of Evernote and now it's no longer available on any platform. It used to be available on both iOS and Windows and now neither.
