  1. Hello all! Evernote for iOS 8.21 is now available to the App Store! As always, any feedback is welcome! Improved - If the app seems a little zippier now, it’s not your imagination. We made some tweaks so your notes will load faster. - We take data security very seriously, so we made some updates to keep your information even more secure. Fixed - If you share a note with more than two people, you can now see all their email addresses on the share screen. That’ll help avoid any awkward sharing accidents. - Photos you add using the camera icon will now appear in chronological order. So “Wedding 2019” will appear after “Spring Break 2015”. Just like real life. - 'Unlock with Face ID’ will now let you create a photo note using 3D Touch. It didn’t do that before, which went against the whole spirit of ‘unlock.' - When you created an offline notebook, you sometimes got a message saying “Notebook downloading.” Was it downloading anything? No, but it won’t say that anymore.
  2. Hi all, Nerves frayed here: So, my friend and I are trying to set up a shared Evernote account. He has the app on his Macbook Pro. He can log on. He can also log on through the webpage. I have a Macbook running Sierra. I set up an account and was able to log on through the browser, but when I try with the app, I get a dialogue box stating that there is an internet connection error (which there isn't since I can log on through the browser) and then a message that my username or password are incorrect (which they are not because I can log on through the browser). So, I then select reset password, and so it all starts again. My friend has himself sought help from the CS team but he's only being offered CS call times sometime in July. We don't want to wait until July. Nor June. Nor August. Is there anyway that I can actually use the Evernote app successfully on my laptop (it works on my iPhone). Thanks.
  3. How can I get all the past cards I have scanned in through Scannable to automatically go over to Contacts now that I have adjusted this setting?
  4. There is a pre-defined Shortcut in the iOS Shortcuts app that says "Add new note from Watch" but I'll be darned if I can figure it out. I can tap on it in the Shortcuts app and do a note, but I don't know how to make this work from the Apple Watch, which would seem to be the point. I'm not seeing how to install Shortcuts to the Watch via the Watch app on my phone, and there isn't anything obvious on my Watch to make this happen that I've found. Running all the latest release versions on iOS and watchOS. (No beta's)
  5. Hi all! Evernote version 8.20 is now available on the App Store! We welcome any feedback, thanks! It was a day like any other. Until you tried to create a note in a shared notebook, and the app suddenly crashed. You fell to your knees, pounded your fists on the floor, and cried out in despair, “Whyyy? Why, in the name of all that is good and decent, can’t they just fix that?” We’ve got great news: we fixed that.
  6. Hello, we released Evernote version 8.19 update to the App Store today. As always, any feedback is welcome! Thanks Fixed: - Fix for app crash when switching between multiple accounts - Fix for app crash when searching through shared notebooks
  7. Hi all, we released our 8.18 update to the App Store last week. Thanks in advance for any feedback! Improved: Tired of waiting to load and search your offline notebooks? We hear you. That’ll all happen much quicker now. Dark Mode is seriously awesome, and it’s getting better every day. For example, your handwritten notes might have been a little hard to see, but not anymore. Fixed: You might have been asked to sign into your Apple ID whenever you launched Evernote. We’ll admit that was a bit of an overreaction. Sometimes there was a screen glitch when you reopened the app. So we just went ahead and fixed the glitch. Problem’s solved from your end. Occasionally, some of the formatting icons would just up and disappear while you were editing. Which was not helpful in the slightest. Are you someone who creates huge offline notebooks? Worried about them not downloading fast enough? Well it won’t be a problem now.
  8. MacStories shared a load of iOS shortcuts including some with an Evernote focus https://www.macstories.net/shortcuts/#evernote
  9. How do I add Evernote app as a complication for an Apple Watch Face? I have Evernote installed on the watch and iPhone and they work together. But I want to make Evernote more quickly accessible on the watch by adding it to a Watch Face as a complication.
  10. As per the title, how do you change the title of a Stack on the iOS app for iPad? I also couldn't figure out how to create stacks on the iOS app so did it in Web. Any help on how to do that in future would also be appreciated.
  11. Hey all, sorry for the slight delay - 8.17 is available in the App Store. We are aware of an issue with the app sometimes prompting for Apple ID credentials on launch, and we are already working on a fix. Feedback always welcome! New! You asked for a dark mode in Evernote, and it’s finally here! Welcome to the dark side—lightsabers not included. Small optimizations in registration experience Fixed We fixed some specific issues that might have been getting in your way, like printing weirdness, images that didn’t attach properly, and misbehaving cursors. We agree they were annoying, but it should be smooth sailing now.
  12. Hi there, When you scan a business card, it will save the information from the business card to your Contacts on your iOS device. However, some people may want to save the business card information to a different set of Contacts. To do this, you must first change the default account being used for your Contacts. To change the default account for your Contacts, please follow the steps outlined below: From your home screen launch the Settings application. Scroll down to the Contacts section and locate the Default Account option Select the email account you want to be the default account for your Contacts After making this change all new contacts created in Evernote on your iOS device will be synced to this account. If you have questions about setting up business card scans so that they are saved to your iOS Contacts automatically see this article:

  14. Hi there, If you’re experiencing syncing issues with Evernote for iOS, please see the following steps you can take to try and troubleshoot the issue, and hopefully fix it yourself: Check Evernote's status blog- Each week, the Evernote servers are updated with new versions of the various software components that power the service. During this time, the service can be slow or even intermittently unavailable. Check status.evernote.com to ensure that there isn't a server-side problem causing your sync error. Evernote Basic - If you have Evernote Basic, verify that you don't have more than two devices associated with your account in your account settings. Make sure you’re on the most current version of Evernote for iOS. If you are not, please update (DO NOT reinstall) to the current version via the App Store and retry syncing. Check your Evernote 'Trash' for any notes/items that you wish to keep. If there aren’t any notes you would like to keep, empty your Evernote Trash and retry syncing. (The Evernote ‘Trash’ is the very last item listed on the bottom of the left-hand side bar) Try updating, and/or temporarily disabling, any security software or VPN that could cause internet connectivity issues and see if sync then works If this doesn’t work, see if there are any specific notes that are causing the syncing issue: With Evernote open, pull down on the screen to force a sync. It will fail, but this will put fresh data in the activity log. Tap on the user settings icon on the bottom right hand corner Tap on Support > ActivityLog > Mail Send the activity log to an email address you own Open the log file using an app like MS Word, Notepad, or Apple Notes and do a word search for Error, Failed, and/or Exception If you see the titles of one of your notes listed next to Error, Failed, and/or Exception, try copying the content of that note to a different location like, and then delete that note and empty it from the trash. (Repeat this process each note title you see) Retry syncing If you’re still experiencing sync issues, execute the following steps to rebuild the database on your iOS device by reinstalling it. DISCLAIMER: (Be sure to execute the following steps exactly as they are listed. Improperly following the reinstall steps may cause irreparable damage and the loss of some of your notes/notebooks. If you do not feel comfortable proceeding with reinstalling Evernote on your iOS Device, or need more assistance, stop here and open a support ticket or reach out to Shane D. via DM.) To reinstall Evernote for iOS follow these steps: Before reinstalling Evernote for iOS, make sure to copy the contents of any unsynced notes somewhere outside of the Evernote app. Any unsynced notes (notes marked by green corners) and photos are deleted when you reinstall Evernote. To save any unsynced photos, open the photo, tap the Share button (box with upward arrow) and select Save Image. 1. From the home screen, tap and hold the Evernote icon until it starts to jiggle 2. Tap X, then Delete 3. Restart your iOS device 4. Download Evernote from the App Store Hopefully, these steps helped you to fix any syncing issues you’ve been encountering. However, If none of these suggestions help, please see these best practices for opening a support ticket, and then contact us. If you'd like to open a ticket immediately, it's helpful to include the following in your ticket submission: A copy of your activity log A description of what is happening What version of Evernote you are using Which device your notes are not showing up on A list of all the steps you took before you contacted Evernote Support

  16. Currently the business product is disjointed with workflows not allowing pins to be created or removed in IOS on our iPad Pros making people load the website on the same device. You guys have got have basic parity with workflow experiences so people don't have to exist the IOS native app and literally load a website on safari to edit and pins basic notes via "Spaces". Extremely frustrating
  17. Thanks for producing a great-looking app that is, overall, a real pleasure to use every day. I am sure you are hard at work on the next update. Here are a few thoughts I have. Some of them are bugs I’ve reported, and some are just thoughts. It’d be great if you could keep some of these in mind. 1. Offline Search Sometimes it works. Most of the time it doesn’t. I am a premium member, my data is downloaded for offline use, and I have synced. Searches that ought to turn up dozens of notes turn up nothing and the app tells me I need to connect to the Internet. What is the point of paying for premium and offline access to my notes if I am just getting a message to connect to the Internet? I can manually find my notes, so that is something, but I think it’d be nice to have online search back. Make it so 2. Creating a Note from Photos If I only select a few notes and create a photo, everything works fine, but several (like 20), just causes the process to fail. It’d be nice if this didn’t happen. 3. Thumbnail Images Some PDFs get one, but most only have a gray image. It’d be nice to have a thumbnail view of some kind. 4. Search Hits in Images It’d be nice if we could search inside of a note and have search hits displayed within images. Doing a search of every note will highlight the terms, but doing a search within a note won’t. You can guess what I have to do to find something — leave the note, do a search of everything (using advanced search grammar) and then check inside the note. The feature is already there, but access to it only comes from outside the note. 5. Relevant note suggestions Sometimes there. Sometimes not. It’d be nice to have some consistency, especially with notes that clearly are related to others. It’s not really a bug or a feature request. Rather, it’s a request for more consistent application of an existing feature. 6. Photo / Scan The app (and Scannable) are really nice to use, in general, but to be honest, they don’t do as well as other apps (Readdle’s Scanner Pro, for example), and this has a dramatic impact on the accuracy of OCR. I’d like to use the app and Scannable more, so please improve their quality. 6. Devices I can see that four devices are using my account, but when I go to see what those are, nothing appears. Is this a bug? Is this how it is supposed to be? Please take a look.
  18. Pretty much as the title says. Doesn't happen all the time, but at leas four times today when I click the big green plus button all I get is the spinning wheel for a minute or more. And other times it is right away. Sitting in the same place. Anyone else seeing this behavior? Something to do with templates perhaps????
  19. Hey y'all, 8.16 is now available in the App Store! New: We’ve added support for Siri Shortcuts in iOS 12 to make Evernote even more flexible! You can now create custom voice commands to: view a note, notebook, space, or saved search; create a new camera note or audio note; copy a note link to the clipboard; or print the current note. Whew! Fixed: If you were using split view on iPad, dragging an image into a note would make it scroll to the top, which was super annoying. Now the cursor will stay right where you left it. Somewhere along the way, the app forgot how to save reminders that didn’t have a due date. But now everything is back the way it used to be. We had a security issue where you could see the note list or last note after you reloaded the app, even if the passcode lock was enabled. That was a big fail, but we fixed it. Adding images to a note in a joined notebook would sometimes cause a crash, but no more. Let us know of any issues and feedback you may have. Thanks!

  25. Hi all, we just released 8.14 to the App Store. As always, let us know of any issues or feedback you may have. Thanks! Release Notes: New: • Now you can use Siri to set reminders in Evernote. Try “Hey Siri, remind me to leave work at 5PM in Evernote.” Yep, our integration just got even more awesome. • We’ve polished things up with a few design tweaks, so it’s easier to focus on your notes. Fixed: • When you scrolled through your list of tags, the keyboard would stop you from seeing all the way to the bottom. Bad keyboard! Very bad! • If you had a lot of notes on your iPhone X (and we mean A LOT!), scrolling through the whole list would sometimes cause the app to crash. And that’s no way to treat a power user, is it? • When you opened a note from the suggested search results, you could play an audio file but the controls were missing. Now you’re back in the driver’s seat. • If you copied and pasted a table from Excel, it would show up as an image that you couldn’t edit. The only constant in life is change, so we fixed that. • Split View is great on the iPad, but closing and reopening Evernote would sometimes cause a note to disappear. Since disappearing is only good if you’re a magician, we squashed that bug. • Sometimes the keyboard wouldn’t pop up if you were trying to share and edit a note. Things should be back to normal now though. • Your photos would stop uploading to a note as soon as you clicked Done. That’s probably not what you wanted, so now they’ll quietly upload in the background. • When you locked your iPad in landscape mode, the Evernote camera wouldn’t stay with you. That made your pictures look weird, so we fixed the glitch.
