  3. I have been having problems with my Evernote and am getting nowhere with tech support, so I'm hoping somebody here has some insight. My Evernote wouldn't allow me to update the program on my computer, but I didn't worry about it until I noticed that nothing was syncing to my computer from my other devices. I contacted tech support, who ran me through a bunch of stuff that didn't work and eventually had me install Revo to "thoroughly" uninstall the program. I used this, and then they had me try to reinstall...wouldn't work. They then sent me this: "Please this file in the following path on your system: C:\Users\[uSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Temp Please replae [uSERNAME] with your windows user many (without the [ ] brackets) Once it is on the directory, you can double click it to start the installer." Tried this (even with all the typos) and it doesn't work. I continue getting the following error messages: "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "Evernote.msi" in the box below." When I try to continue I receive this message: "The file is not a valid installatin package for the product. Try to find the installation package 'Evernote.msi' in a folder from which you can install it." Then it tells me: "The older version of Evernote cannot be removed. Contact your tech support group." Finally, it tells me: "(./Bootstrapper.cpp:915) 0x643: Fatal error during installation." I can't figure this out. Any help is appreciated. I've looked around at some of the other troubleshooting posts, specifically this one: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/36401-windows-error-code-2732-workarounds/ I've tried the Ultimate Fix, and it doesn't work. I can't continue with the other fixes because C:\Program Files (x86)\Evernote\Evernote doesn't seem to exist on my computer as I've deleted everything related to Evernote. So I'm just kind of stuck in limbo, where I have uninstalled everything, but can't install it back. Any help is appreciated!
  4. Hello: I'm trying to install Evernote Web Clipper for Safari in my Ipad 4 (iOS 8.1.1) from evernote.com. And when I click in the link, it appears a message asking where to open the Evernote.6.2.4.safariextz thing (3,1 MB). But the only options are to open it in AirDrop, Dropbox, or Evernote. I think it should be a problem of my poor configuration of the device, but don't know what to do... Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm new in this apple stuff and in this configurations. Don't be cruel... Thanks in advance, Guillermo.
  5. Hi everybody, After double-click the Evernote's installation file, message appears as picture below: And I cannot install Evernote for my computer. Please help me. Thanks,
  6. I tried to install the new update (5.4), and kept getting an error message. I then tried to uninstall the previous version, but now I keep getting an error saying "Evernote was already installed by another user. Only one per user installation is supported. An administrator can install EN after the per user installation is removed." Using windows 7. Please help!!
  7. Recently an Evernote update installed on my Windows XP machine. It did however not respect the original installation directory (on D:\) but installed automatically on C:\. The installation did not ask where it should be installed. I do not want any prgraoms on C:\, C is for the OS, D is for programs and E is for Data. That is how I want it (and the disk space of the drives are fit for that purpose). So, how do I move the Evernote program files to D:\ (without reinstall) and more importantly how make sure next updates install in the directory where I want it (and not in the directory that the Evernote programmers think is appropriate).
  8. I can't install the web clipper for chrome for the life of me. Am running chrome Version 21.0.1180.89 on a MacBook running OSX 10.8. Some install rights are restricted as it's a work machine.
  9. I've been having issues with the webclipper in FFv21 and I tried to uninstall it. The uninstall doesn't seem to have worked since it's "stuck" and still says Evernote has been removed, and never actually clears it out (even after a dozen restarts of Firefox), and there are a number of Evernote named files/folders in my FF profile that remain, so I don't think the uninstall of the addon did much of any actual removal. (see screenshot #1) I tried re-installing the addon, and it downloads OK, but fails when installing saying "Firefox can not modify the file needed" (see screenshot #2) I'm pretty savy, and would tackle manually uninstalling if I knew what files & wher to rip it out of the profile. Any help? I can post any debug logs or additional infor you want, just let me know what you need!
  10. I am trying to instal Skitch on my computer but every time I load it up tot he welcome screen > http://grab.by/r1si < it freezes. I think it had to do with old skitch files maybe I had on my computer so I used CleanMyMac to clean them up, but it still does the same thing. Thoughts?
  11. Hey guys, Haven't used Evernote in a while. My hotmail got hacked into ages ago and now I cant get into my account. I have created a new EN account. 12. Hello, I have been trying to install Evernote for Windows and it never gets past the 'Extracting' stage. It hangs and won't complete anything else. When I try to run it again, it says 'Another instance of the Evernote installer is already running' etc etc etc, then nothing else happens. I've ended the process through Task Manager and tried again, but to no avail. This is my first time using Evernote, so this is not an update. I am running Windows 7, if that makes a difference. If you need more information to help, jusk ask.
  13. I got the message about a new version (4.6.1 build ???) available via the Evernote desktop (Windows) program. However, installing it though this popup has never worked for me in any previous versions. It keeps telling me that I need administrative rights in order to get Evernote installed properly. But during such an installing, I am unable to 'turn on' administrator-mode, so I need to cancel the installation. At this point, I can no longer use the previous version of Evernote because that was already deinstalled. So I download the update manually from the website and try to install it regularly. This has always been effective with previous versions, untill now. Whatever I do, start the exe file normally or as an Administrator, I keep getting the message that I need to have the right Administrator rights to install Evernote. Does anybody have the same problem? How do I get it to work? I run Windows Vista btw. Thanks in advance!
