  1. How can I import my notes from Apples Notes App into Evernote?
  2. Hello, I am a co-founder of Backupery, we are making local backup software. I am glad to present you Backupery for Evernote application. It is a lightweight application that makes automatic backup of Evernote notes to local hard drive. Here are some highlights: The application is very small (~700KB) and easy to use. Backup is started by scheduler, so a user doesn't need to run it manually. We don't send any bit of your data beyond your computer, so all your data belongs to you only, forever. The software works without internet connection (it is essential if you are travelling, for exampl
  3. I'm beginning to use Evernote Clipper to save my bookmarks, but was looking for a way to import my existing bookmarks from Chrome, without having to clip every. single. one. I don't really know how to code, so Applescript, etc. was out for me. But I figured out this work around. It requires signign up for a few things, but once you're done, you're done! and the import is quick. Note: This is a crude import system. You may not get pictures imported with the links, or tags automatically added (other then from what you set in IFTTT). It's quick and dirty, but gets the job done. Also, this
  4. I've got 400+ notes in Apple Mail.app. What's the easiest way to import these into Evernote? I tried the Import... feature, but this wouldn't let me select my notes mailbox, even after I tried to Archive the Notes mailbox. Thanks!
  5. Hi I run an old version of Evernote (2.1.0.327). I have been taking notes for several years and it has been good. Upgrading to Windows 10, I am unable to install this version of Evernote. I keep getting an error. Something about "failed to load a dll:enlnst" and Setup terminates Has anybody seen this problem? So I then thought of installing the latest version, export all my notes from the previous version and import it in the new version. In the newer versions, it is unable to import older note version files. So does this not work? Am kind of stuck now.. A
  6. There are some old references in the EN forums to Diigo and Evernote. Are there any recent updates for importing Diigo bookmarks into EN (and keeping them as separate, individual bookmarks)? I have tried importing bookmarks from my Chrome and Safari browsers into EN, but the import doesn't break down the bookmarks individually, as they are listed in the browsers. If they are in a lump in EN, they don't really do much good.
  7. Hi all. I have the version one of DayOne app with about 2-300 entries. Including pics and texts. Now Evernote has a password/Touch ID secuirty I have decided to use this app as my personal diary instead of DayOne. Ive done a search on how to export from DayOne to Evernote but failed to find any clearly and defined way. Has anyone discovered a way to do this efficiently?
  8. I have over 300 notes that I had in Mac’s Address Book, and a friend helped me massage and clean up, finally getting them into Apple’s spreadsheet program, Numbers. Figured that was the end of the hassle: I’d exported data from Excel using CSV probably a half-dozen times since 1992 into various environments and programs for data storage, for mailing lists, mostly. But wrong: Number records don’t export directly - 2nd tier Apple support confirmed this. So how do I get these 300+ notes into Evernote? Want to preserve of course the Notebook they’re in, their title, body, and formattin
Saludos
  10. As the title says I want to directly import an ENEX file containing quite a number of notes. When I import a ENEX file it seems that it gets imported to the Personal side and I have to copy it to the Business manually. But I want to import the notes directly into one of the notebook in the Business. Is this possible? Am i just missing something? Thank you very much for reading my question.
  11. Dear all, I´ve been using azz Card File for too many years. I am migrating to Evernote, however, I have thousands of notes in my azz card file. Does any one out there who would happen to know how I can export may notes from Azz card file to Evernote? Would really appreciate this support. Thank you.
  12. Hi All, Here is a tool for converting Chrome bookmarks to Evernote. Worked well for me, let me know if any bugs and will try to fix. https://twitter.com/kjakich/status/565879393537781760 Note: for PC users, not sure about MAC. Credit: I forked this work from another chap and updated it. Enjoy! Keir
  13. When I create a new notebook, most of the notes within it will have many of the same tags. I would like to have the ability to copy or import tags from another note so that I do not have to keep typing the same tags for each note that I create.
  14. I want to export all my Omnifocus tasks / projects to Evernote. Is there a workaround to make this happen?
  15. I'm currently evaluating task & note apps and evernote really looks quite advanced and suitable for me need. However, I didn't find a way to import my existing tasks from google tasks. The article in the evernote help https://help.evernote.com/hc/de/articles/208314308 seems to be outdated as it talks about a "Tools> Import folder" menu, any the evernote desktop version I just installed has no "tools" menu at all. It has a File > Import, but this only allows to import Evernote Exports and OneNote but not even CSV or XML or whatever. Is there any way? Google Tasks d
  16. I'm importing the NoteResultSpec struct using the python SDK with the following line: from evernote.edam.notestore.ttypes import NoteResultSpec And I'm getting an import error. Is this struct still supported? If not, how do I fetch Note content as notestore.getNote is deprecated and this struct is needed for notestore.getNoteWithResultSpec?
  17. Many of us work primarily from a tablet, I work from iPad. There are many usability features missing from iOS that makes using Evernote extremely inconvenient. On iOS though we can see our tags, we cannot rename nor delete them. On iOS there is not a way to export our notes to a .enex On iOS there is not a way to import a .enex Those three missing feature are a tablet user’s Evernote deal breaker. Being able to work around them we must get to a computer. Many road warriors gave up on desktop computers, and as their laptops give up the ghost they are moving to tablets. I
  18. I created a simple database using Filemaker 13 for Mac. The application keeps crashing and I was encouraged to upgrade to the current version, but my needs are too basic to justify the cost. I'd much rather upgrade to premium Evernote if it's possible to import what I have. I have used Evernote for years for very rudimentary lists and such. The Filemaker database is a couple of steps up from that: 9 fields, one of which contains sometimes lengthy notes, plus one field in which I attach files, usually PDFs of documents (I used this database to store and search for my research notes and related
  19. It's nice to have some help to move files around, and maybe rename them, archive them, maybe even create a reading (or a review) list. I normally suggest Belvedere for this task, which is an old-ish app based on an AHK script that mainly used to move files from one location (usually my scanner destination folder) into an Import folder appropriate to the name of the file. Basically it filed my edited scanning for me. Seems like there's a new sheriff in town however. I just found DropIt! (The exclamation point is entirely me - sorry..) "Drop a group of different files and fold
  20. I had the need to create 4000 notes based on excel data because tagging system in Evernote makes search way more easier than excel. Also with Evernote I could create many Table of contents based on my needs. My excel data was well formatted - each row was going to one unique note. After searching through this forum I realized that may it is impossible to do and I decided to copy painfully one note at a time. Then IDEA!!!! came What if I create a note in Evernote, export evernote file (.enex) Open in notepad and view xml code Find out of table structure and modify to my needs Use vba
  21. Hi there, new to Evernote. One of the most important things for me is the ability to export the data (for local backup) and import data should any problems arise. Thankfully Evernote has an export feature. However, I noticed that any imports lose the stack information and date note was created. Not retaining stacks I can live without but not having the created date is a huge problem for me (and I imagine other users). Some notes are so time specific (e.g first time your child speaks/does something significant) and not having that information can render the note useless. Is there a way E
  22. Since one of the last updates I get every imported pdf-file twice. One of those just states some useless information. I have to delete it every time. It does not matter if this import comes from my Mac or from my smartphone. Any idea? Thanks
  23. Hi everyone I use Evernote quite extensively, I have a premium account and end up uploading a lot of data, mostly .zip and images. I have my own way of using Evernote, I found thats how it works anyway because you have this open canvas almost and you are set to figure out how to make use of it. This is great and I have a cool system but the problem is I want to make use of exporting to a .enex file. As you may know that's the native Evernote export database, and if you want you can export notebooks or your entire system. My set up is like this: I don't use search that much, I don't use tags a
  24. Hello. There is a bug during import of OneNote notebooks featuring notes with PDF attachments. The screenshots here tell the story. In OneNote when you insert a PDF it includes not just the PDF file itself (which can be re-extracted) but also an inline rendered version. This is an incredibly useful way to organize PDFs, since you get the best of both worlds. You can see a preview inline, and know that if you ever need to get the original PDF back out again in the future it's right there. I'm hedging my bets on OneNote by making sure I can get back to Evernote some day if I ever need
  25. I exported some notebooks and tried to reimport them on another machine. I tried it with 3 notebooks and the whole notebook and I allways get "cant_set_note_tag" I am missing 8, 5 and 2 entries from 50 to 100 entries depending on the notebook.
