  1. Does anyone know if it is possible to insert an Evernote note link (internal link, not shared public link) into a Google Doc spreadsheet and have it be live? Their syntax is =hyperlink("www.google.com","Click here") THat will put "click here" in a cell and it will be blue and underlined and clickable. If I put =hyperlink("evernote:///view/234q12l4123412341234....","Click Here") in the cell (obviously I faked that link, but the evernote:///view/ part is how EN links start) I just get a "click here" in the cell with no clickability and it isn't blue or underlined. So, is there any way to make it work? For what it is worth, if I take the full link and put it in Chrome's URL bar, it opens the local note just fine, so I know the browser can handle it.
  2. In Google+, people often post links using the Google URL shorten'r. (similar to Bit.ly) Is there a way to convert a goo.gl or bit.ly URL shortcut to a workable hyperlink inside Evernote?
  3. On a Note, if you highlight a phone number, copy the number, then do Hyperlink, Add... and enter "tel:nnn-nnn-nnnn" (or really any number following the tel:) if you bring up the note on a mobile device, you can click on the number to have the phone dial it (or at least on Android phones, but I image other phones will follow the tel: type). It makes it much easier and safer to dial a number from Evernote while driving, then the current way of trying to select the number, copy and paste it into the phone app. I would like to suggest as an enhancement request that Evernote looks at the selected text, and if it is numbers, -, (, ) or spaces, the Hyperlink context menu also displays "Add Phone link...". and automatically puts the tel: in front of the phone number text.
  4. Dear All, the editor in the browser interface has a hyperlink facility (an icon showing chain links), and using that, I started putting together a note with links to sites of interest, intending to use this as a kind of private, "cloud based" bookmark collection. However, when I wanted to add another link using the Android Evernote app today I couldn't find anything equivalent to the link facility. I finally ended up putting the title and the URL into the note, and reworked that into the link I wanted when I got to my desktop (a few minutes before now). Can anyone direct me to the hyperlink facility in the Android app? (I noticed that Evernote made the URL string into a hyperlink, but that's not really useful if the URL is not descriptive of the content of the page I'd like to link to.) Best regards, Jan
  5. I have <a/> tag in Note creating from my App. This hyperlink links to my website, and there's a PHP script to check whether the current device is iPhone/iPad or PC. If the current device is iPhone/iPad, then launch my App by calling app URL, otherwise, open http-URL. This script works fine in Safari or other browsers. However, it seems that hyperlink in Note is opened in a UIWebView in Evernote app, then my re-directing script doesn't work properly. I got error of "The URL can't be shown", or sometimes "Frame load interrupted". I use this code for re-directing: header('Location: myApp://tag/id'); Does anyone have idea on how to do re-directing in UIWebView? Or, Is there any way that I can designate MobileSafari to open any hyperlink in Note? Thanks for any helps!
  6. I am trying in Evernote to set up Hyperlinks for the following file extensions on an iMac with all software being at the latest versions: + *.m4v, *,m4a, *.mov, and *.pdf I have been able to only get this to work very sporadically, with emphasis on sporadic. And, I have absolutely no clue as to why it sometimes works, and most of the time it does not. 1- For each of these 4 file type extensions I have associated a specific application, for all files, to each one: *.m4v = QuickTime Player.app *.m4a = QuickTime Player.app *.mov = QuickTime Player.app *.pdf = Skim.app NOTE: For this issue, all of the above files exist solely on my hard drive: Macintosh HD In addition, I have associated other apps for QuickTime Player (VLC.app, and iTunes.app), but the results are always the same - i.e. sporadic. 2- Here is an example of how each have been set up; in this case I am using *.pdf with the Skim.app: a- Within a given note in Evernote, I have a text string: Exposure For Outdoor Photography - Michael Frye b- I use Get Info on that file to find its exact path: file:///Users/bamboo_water/Documents/0 - MY PRIMARY DOCUMENTS/PHOTOGRAPHY/0 - PHOTOGRAPHY - TRAINING - VIDEOS - BOOKS/BOOKS/Exposure For Outdoor Photography - Michael Frye.pdf c- I go to the text string in Evernote: Exposure For Outdoor Photography - Michael Frye, enter Command+k, and press OK. d- I press Synchronize just to make sure Evernote is seeing my changes. e- I then click/double-click, neither matters, and nothing happens. No errors, no hyperlinking -- nothing. f- Just for grins I go back into the Hyperlink on the text and check to see what it is: file:///Users/bamboo_water/Documents/0%20-%20MY%20PRIMARY%20DOCUMENTS/PHOTOGRAPHY/0%20-%20PHOTOGRAPHY%20-%20TRAINING%20-%20VIDEOS%20-%20BOOKS/BOOKS/Exposure%20For%20Outdoor%20Photography%20-%20Michael%20Frye.pdf I see nothing wrong with the above since replacing spaces with %20 is normal. 4- Again, the above example is for *.pdf files, but I need to have this working for all four file types: *.m4v, *,m4a, *.mov, and *.pdf 5- I have seen various notes in this forum regarding Hyperlinking, and I have found nothing that would give me a clue as to why my Hyperlinking is not working. If anybody has any ideas, they would be deeply appreciated.
  7. I'm using Evernote Version 5.0.4 (400704) on Mac OS. I'm having consistent problems with using hyperlinks in Evernote. I would like to know how to: insert and use hyperlinks generally I haven't yet found a description of hyperlink support, nor instructions for how to make them. I did find the Cmd-K keyboard shortcut, but the popup dialog is missing the display text. I also found that I can drag an address from Firefox's address bar, and it will usually be converted into a link.use a hyperlink in the title of a note enable a "create link" button on the formatting tool bar Thanks
  8. Wishing Evernote to add a new function that when users want to make a reference or to mention something they had ever noted in their Evernote, they could make not only a link to the whole note but a link directly to the exact place in the contents, cause a note could have thousands of words sometimes, it's too hard to find some highlighted sentences inside. And of course the rest of the contents will be still editable, very handy if the hyperlink can be copied and cut and edited from both sides. Maybe the appearance of the hyperlink would be something like the highlighted mark in the Evernote Clearly, popups may appear when mouse arrow across. Hope to get attention.
  9. Evernote Mac insists on validating my hyperlink urls and will not allow local url schemes, though EN iPad does. Any ideas? See screenshot.
