  1. I would like to be able to add a hyperlink to text within a note in Evernote iOS.
  2. Hello i'm writing to ask some things, sorry for my english. I have some request; 1. when i'm importing a text in the note, i would like that with one click of 1 botton i apply a styke that i choosed for my note ( style of the character, height of the text ecc). So that i do not change every box to format my text. 2 . i would like that in evernot there will be more stacks in one original stack. ( more folder in one stack). so that i can organice better my files and notes 3. i would like to make a link of one of the my notes on my computer desktop. So that i don't have to open every time evernote and search my note 8it's a waste of time) Thant's if some one respond and i hope the tecnichans will work on this points.
  3. I copy and paste a lot of email addresses and have notes whose content is largely email addresses. They are maintained as plain text so that I can copy them to other places (without the blue formatting) but - most important - so that l can click on the note to make it active without triggering an new email. I used to be able to put a semicolon after each address and it would not recognize it as such. I could then copy/paste the addresses around and they stay plaintext. The new version broke this. Now, copying/pasting these triggers the hyperlink formatting. I then have to laboriously select each one - making sure NOT to click, as that triggers an email - and being sure to include exactly all characters in the address, not missing any and not having extras, then remove the link that I never wanted in the first place. I would be happy with any of: 1) restoring the previous behavior 2) being able to select a region of text which includes links and non-links, then removing all links in the region 3) having a preference setting to disable automatic link creation
  4. Hi, Looking for some help on why this annoying feature is happening and how to stop it. I searched the settings under personalization and didn't see a setting to change this: Went to clear out my evernote a bit and tried to click on multiple notes to delete at once. Realized that anytime there was any kind of hyperlink in a note (hyperlink could be from a web snippet, copied link to another note title like a table of contents, etc) it would open a new window just for that note. I want to be able to click all notes without launching a separate window, unless I double click on the note title. This is pretty standard across most layout/web interfaces. Any help is appreciated. I cam across a thread that talked about the new version of evernote launching browser windows instead of evernote windows when you create a hyperlink to a note but I don't think that is what is happening here (although that sounds very annoying too). Forgot to add that I am pressing CMD (flag key on windows keyboard) to try to select multiple notes. It appears that if I click on ANY note with hyperlink, it launches new window. If I click a note and then push CMD to click another note, it opens that second-clicked note in another window EVEN WITH NO HYPERLINK. I've tried using CTRL, CMD, and ALT with no luck. The only way I've found to select multiple notes with MAC is using shift but this doesn't work if I have 5 notes I want to select that are spread out among other notes I don't want to select.
  5. I want the ability to turn on or off automatic hyperlinking. Not after the fact as an edit but the presumption. The current automatic hyperlink is a fatal flaw. If the option already exists, can you inform me how I might set Evernote to "never automatically hyperlink"? In addition, there should be an option to highlight a word and right-click restore or add the hyper link to the selection if desired. So, the exception is in the end-users control. Pretty simple, really. I am a long time paid subscriber, this seemingly lacking feature annoys me to the point of looking at OneNote. BTW. I use all OSs and mobile platforms, but this, I was told was the best place to put the suggestion. -adam
  6. Hi there This problem has happened recently in my Android version, especially for a website that I love its articles! (Aeon.co). I clip some its pages, when I check them in Windows version after I clipping, everything is okay as I expected, while I sync and check them in Android version, most body texts turn into links, while they are not link originally and they're just simple text. I confused why it happens and just can see in Android's Evernote version?! Fortunately, I don't have this issue for the other web pages for the other websites. Both Android and Windows versions updated to last version Thanks Masoud
  7. Hello everybody, is there any way to hyperlink to a notebook out of a note? Hope that anybody can contribute an idea. Thanks for your help.
  8. As part of research, I routinely create pdf files from browser windows that contain HTML links to web pages. Those links work correctly when the pdf file is opened using any version of Acrobat Reader. When I save that pdf file as a Note in Evernote, the HTML links do not work within the Evernote Note. If I download the pdf file back to the Desktop, the HTML links work correctly. A typical .pdf file is attached. Any ideas why the links do not work within a Note? Thanks UDI_21CFR_eCFR_search_results.pdf
  9. In Windows Evernote I'm in a note and the cursor is giving me the finger, that is, showing the finger/hand pointer even when I am not pointing to a link. The cursor works correctly as a text cursor but appears as a link pointer. I can right click and the "remove link" is grayed out indicating I am not over a link. When I click, the text cursor appears and the finger mouse pointer still shows. Anyone else? This appears to be only on some notes.
  10. Hi there Over the last few days I've suddenly had issues using hyperlinks on my iPhone. I create them on my Macbook, where they work fine, but then when I click on them on the phone, they don't open, but instead the keyboard comes up and the cursor takes me to the top of the note. It's strange, because they're still working on some notes, but not on others! Even notes where the links used to work are no longer working. I have just updated to the latest version of the Evernote app (7.16), and also updated my iPhone to iOS 9.3.5 - so perhaps that's contributing?
  11. It seems that Evernote is supposed to open up links in the default (chosen) browser, but on Mac, that's not the case. At least not on my computer. Is this how it supposed to be on OS X or is it just my computer and, if so, how can I fix it? SOLVED: Firefox made me think it was the default browser, but it wasn't. Now it works.
  12. please help me people! i used to be able to add a hyperlink to copy, now it erases the link text and pastes the hyperlink in its place: Yahoo is now http://yahoo.com it works here, but not in my notes. PLEASE HELP ME FOLKS!
  13. Evernote is my contact manager. I use IfThisThenThat to append contact's page with calls, SMS's etc. Since I use it on my phone and print is small I use Icons. I have a picture of a phone and a hyperlink attached to the picture that says "call: 9035551212" In order to add a hyperlink to a text string I simply highlight the word, right-click, and click on Hyperlinks However, when I right click on a picture there is no option to click on hyperlink. I have to right click on the picture and then choose format-hyperlink from the top menu bar. This adds a lot of steps when I add a new contact. Is there anyway to modify which options come up when you right click on an object in Evernote so that I can enable the ability to edit hyperlinks on pictures using right-click?
  14. In one of my notes I have the word "tonight". It keeps getting hyperlinked on my iphone. I couldn't get the link removed on the phone. I finally managed it (after way more work than it should be, stupid interface) on my PC. It keeps coming back on the phone. Really damned annoying. I'm not editing the note, just opening it to read. Please tell me there's a way to fix this and how to do it for once and all.
  15. It seems as of today March 18, 2015 the New Beta is missing the url link, webpage link at the top of the note. In the old system if I saved a webpage, the note would show the url and make it linkable or clickable at the top of the note. In the new Beta it just shows the title. This is a bad deletion. I want to ease of clicking the link to jump to the page. On another note, give the use the ability to change the image thumbnail.
  16. Old version, easy to find place to click on a hyperlink of a story I clipped and saved. New version, what the heck? Im editing the title? I cant find where i can click to go to the story I clipped? I have to go to the forum and ask?
  17. Hi there, I know this might seem link the simplest question ever, but how do you hyperlink in evernote? I know the feature used to exist becuse I have notes with hyperlinks, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it anymore. Has the feature been removed? Let me know. Thanks in advance!
  18. I am brand new at Evernote. I searched for the answer to my question and watched a lot of video tutorials -- many of which seem not to be the same version of Evernote (the newest as of May 2014 for Windows 7). I created several notes with just a weblink. The text is highlighted and behaves as if it is prepared to open in a web browser -- but it does not. Nothing happens. I have to believe that this program does not expect me to copy and paste this web address (every time) into my browser to open a saved link, but so far, that is all I can manage. Thanks in advance. A screen shot is attached.
  19. While I'm in the forum, I'd expect that if I click on the EN logo in the upper left hand corner that I'd return to the main page for the forum. Instead you're transfered to the main EN page. It's an annoyance. Please correct. When I'm in the forum, I expect an easy way to return to the main forum page (typically clicking the logo does that). If I want to get back to evernote.com I already know how to do that. Just a personal annoyance that others may have. Please correct.
  20. Hello! Fairly new Evernote user here. I looked and couldn't find any previous topics on this. I have a large list of email addresses that I want to include in a note - pasting it over from another application. Evernote hyperlinks each address when I paste the list. Is there a way to turn off the default setting that hyperlinks each email address? Thanks
  21. I'm new to the Evernote forum, so I apologize for adding this in the wrong section. I just started using this app on my iPad mini a few months ago. I love the new ios 7 design, but I'm already confused on a lot of things. First, ever since Evernote updated for ios 7, the adding and customizing hyperlink button at the bottom of the note screen is gone. Sometimes my numbers would also highlight as if they were urls, but they're not. How can I link/unlink urls? Can we customize them anymore? Second, the spell check has been acting up. I have to tap it twice to get the "Replace" option to fix my spelling. Incorrect spelling has also stopped underlining. What am I doing wrong with the new ios 7 Evernote?
  22. Hello! Evernote has become irreplacable part of my life and I want to do it more irreplacable. What about to add an ability to link notes with each other by using special links? In my imagination it looks like usual hyperlinks in the content, but by clicking these ones, the note that link has linked to will be opened. P.S. I'm sorry for any mistakes you may find — English isn't my native Have a nice day!
  23. In Google+, people often post links using the Google URL shorten'r. (similar to Bit.ly) Is there a way to convert a goo.gl or bit.ly URL shortcut to a workable hyperlink inside Evernote?
  24. On a Note, if you highlight a phone number, copy the number, then do Hyperlink, Add... and enter "tel:nnn-nnn-nnnn" (or really any number following the tel:) if you bring up the note on a mobile device, you can click on the number to have the phone dial it (or at least on Android phones, but I image other phones will follow the tel: type). It makes it much easier and safer to dial a number from Evernote while driving, then the current way of trying to select the number, copy and paste it into the phone app. I would like to suggest as an enhancement request that Evernote looks at the selected text, and if it is numbers, -, (, ) or spaces, the Hyperlink context menu also displays "Add Phone link...". and automatically puts the tel: in front of the phone number text.
  25. Dear All, the editor in the browser interface has a hyperlink facility (an icon showing chain links), and using that, I started putting together a note with links to sites of interest, intending to use this as a kind of private, "cloud based" bookmark collection. However, when I wanted to add another link using the Android Evernote app today I couldn't find anything equivalent to the link facility. I finally ended up putting the title and the URL into the note, and reworked that into the link I wanted when I got to my desktop (a few minutes before now). Can anyone direct me to the hyperlink facility in the Android app? (I noticed that Evernote made the URL string into a hyperlink, but that's not really useful if the URL is not descriptive of the content of the page I'd like to link to.) Best regards, Jan
