You knew, in your heart of hearts, that this was coming. Any sweet offers out there? Must have deals? This is entirely off-topic, so don't feel the need to tie it into Evernote, though I've got a lil short term folder set up for clipping.

I recognize this isn't really a holiday thing for many people, but it does amp up during the holiday season due to donating prior to end of tax season and that happy holiday giving spirit that everyone skips about with. I used to be a corporate philanthropy guy, so I've got a pretty extensive list I pull from year-round--but during the holidays, does anyone do volunteerism or specific gift giving? I usually roll with these during the holidays: - Toys for Tots or local toy drive - Santa Run (5k, everyone dresses up as Santa) - Not really a holiday gift, but I try to load up and register for all of my event-based contributions near the end of the year. I do the MS150, a few Dallas-based rides and runs, and register for all of them the year before, calendar them, etc. Both for training purposes and just to get registrations out of the way. If you really want to get into the weeds, I can give year round contribution projects, but that would probably get pretty boring. Anyone do any interesting giving over the holidays?

I can hardly believe it's nearly Thanksgiving here in the states! This massive undertaking of a meal has got me thinking (especially since I'm hosting this year), of organizing it. Here's what I'm doing: 1. The food. Started a notebook with recipes of interest related to this fabulous holiday (confession: it's my favorite one.) As I cruise around, and inhale Thanksgiving magazine issues, all those bits of info go into that notebook. I also have a "real life" file of everything I've collected from the last 15 years or so on food and the plan of getting it all done. It's soon to be entered into Evernote so my iPad will be my control center this year. 2. The fun stuff. I've been finding all sorts of great table scapes, crafts and decorating ideas for the holiday. So, I've been stashing the keepers in Evernote (as well as Pinterest) for those I'd like to try. How do you organize yourself? Have any great resources to share?
