  1. Marker and Highlighter are both free hand tools. They are both similar in function. I would like the marker to be a freehand tool to underline or circle a concept in PDF or Image. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that the highlighter tool should not be a free hand tool. Rather based on OCR in image and PDF we should be able to select certain text and highlight it. I would look clean. Similar to Adobe Reader and other softwares. Please let me know if this sounds interesting. And can the team think on incorporating the change.
  2. I have Notes where I have highlighted text using the EN Windows editor. The highlighted text shows on screen but not on my printouts. Am I missing something or is this a bug, or perhaps just a shortcoming of Evernote? Either way I wish they would fix this! RS
  3. Hi, I just updated to 6.9.2 on my Macbook Air and the highlighter tool doesn't work. It appears in the sidebar, but nothing happens when I try to use it. Any suggestions? Thanks, Caroline
  4. Hi! I love the function "annotations summary" from Evernote. Every important informations from a PDF I mark with the yellow highlighter, and after closing the PDF, Evernote shows me the summary of the sentences I highlighted! Awesome. Now, I want to to the same with webpages (clipped with web clipper on Safari) or a regular note. I can highlight it, but stays only on the document, without a summary of this highlighted information. I know that is possible to convert this annotations into PDFs itself, but I have problems trying to convert a clipped webpage to a PDF in Evernote. Is there a way to see an "annotations summary" of the highlighted information of from non-PDF-documents? Thanks!
  5. Hello all, I'm looking to get some advice on how people are using the web clipper and potentially other third-party integrations to use web highlighting in the most optimal manner. I'm using: Mac Chrome iOS Scenario: I would like to start building up a body of notes of interesting text, quotes, statistics etc that come across in web articles and also email newsletters. The idea is that I can return to it the next time I am preparing a blog post to have a list of references and topic ideas to adapt or build on. I would like to highlight bodies of text, sometimes several sections within an article / email I would like to have a link / reference back to the article / email in the highlighted note. Ideally I would like to be able to search the notes Lastly, any recommendations on setup for easy management - e.g. custom / automated tagging, note naming, notebooks etc Thanks in advance - Jon
  6. I did a quick search and could not find this suggestion before so here goes: I wonder if the OCR process can be made to read highlighted text (maybe just of one specific configurable, calibratable color) and automatically assign those as tags for the note. Possibly even have a way to assign a title, say first text it finds that is highlighted and underlined. Thanks for reading.
  7. What happened to the 'L' above? Mac OS X 10.9.5 Safari 7.1 rMBP 2013
  8. Hello, I've noticed that now I have the highlighter as the default tool when clipping an article. I've searched through the options and I can't find a way to disable that. I usually copy text and use it when adding comments so I really need to "select" instead of "highlight" text, please help me.
  9. Does anyone know of a 3rd party or workaround to enable brighter colors to the hightlighter? Brighter colors would be a monumental improvement allowing faster focus on important details. I don't know why the current dull color was chosen but being different for it's own sake is not always a good idea. anyone?
  10. Is there a feature in evernote where in you can PERMANENTLY highlight words or phrases? So that the next time you type a word on Evernote, it will immediately highlight itself? Thanks
  11. Hmm I counter this problem for a while. It seems to me that I can only change the color of the font rather than the highlight when I call out the "show colors" option under format. Does it mean there is only one color available for highlight at the moment?
  12. Hi guys, I'm looking to "highlight" text using a background colour (much like you would with a physical highlighter - is this possible? If not, can I suggest it for a future version please?
