  1. Hi All, This is one of our most frequently asked questions and previous posts contained a lot of outdated information so I wanted to provide a refreshed answer. If you're trying to undo an action/typo you can 'undo' by doing the following: EN-Windows: Ctrl + Z EN-Mac: Command + Z EN- iOS: Shake device to receive 'Undo' prompt EN-Android: Tap 'Back' (curved arrow) button from the menu bar above the note EN-Web Client: Ctrl+Z if using Windows, Command+Z if using Mac If you're trying to recover a deleted note, check the Evernote Trash and restore it. If you're trying to recover a previous version of a note, check the 'Note History'

  4. I have been an EN user for a number of years and this is the first time I have received the message below. I definitely have not come close to any maximum emails as I think this is my third today...is it down for anyone else? We couldn’t deliver your message The emailed note was received, but an internal error occured while processing it. Please try sending the note again later.
  5. Hi all, I just discovered on going to use Evernote on my phone that it was asking me to deactivate a device in order to use it. This led to the discovery that 18 hours ago my account was accessed by an Iphone with an IP address in Egypt. I'm in the UK and using android on a Sony phone. I've used Evernote for years with no problems and am now freaking out that I need to change my password for everything, and also that my whole life is on there and some of its pretty personal or a security risk. Never worried about it before and now I don't know where to start. So this is both a post just to vent and say ARGH! Why don't they send an email to say someone else has logged into your device? Or have more security when it's from another country? And secondly, has anyone else had this happen? Do you think it is an individual and that they might have downloaded and be going through all my notes as we speak? Or is it some kind of bot that doesn't actually care to read this stuff? I don't know where to start - feel I need to look through all 647 notes to see where my security may have been compromised. GAH! I've emailed the support people but is there anything they can do? Damn the internet. Bring back notebooks.

  7. Greetings! Are there plans to create a service for storing passwords or integrating it into evernote? Of course, you can store passwords in notes right now, but I would like to integrate with browsers and more features. Soft, what is now for these purposes is absolutely terrible, the hope is only for you. ps Sorry for bad english pss I'm not sure if this is the right partition, but I did not find a more suitable one
  8. Hi, i can't enable 2step. When i turn on Android-app (authentificator), in last step the evernote ask me to write password - http://prntscr.com/kk4hiz - but i don't see where i need to write password. When i click "continue with google" - i return to page with settings and 2step are disabled

  10. I have over 35K notes and I'm having sync issues which tech support is working furiously to fix (thank you). However, I'm just wondering at one point EN simply has trouble handling a certain level of notes. Thoughts on this? As you can tell, I'm a very early user of EN. Bill
  11. No longer able to access the “Food” app after upgrading to iOS 11 on my iPad. Receiving message that developer needs to update app however there are no updates available in the App Store. I have 150+ recipes that appear to be lost forever, please help.
  12. I have a Premium account that I've just renewed . I was a premium customer but let it lapse for a couple of months after it ran out. I have just renewed and what I would like to know is will the renewal be on my basic account?The reason I ask is it said PREMIUM on my other premium accounts but not on this one, is it a change does anyone know? also where do I find please the email address I use for forwarding to my notes. TIA
  13. Hi! I'm having some issues with my credit card, which means Evernote is about to downgrade my subscription from Premium to Basic. I'd like to go back to it as soon as I fix things with the bank, but the question for now is (as in the topic): - Do I lose any data when downgrading subscription? Or just things like upload limit, search options etc.? - If I do, how can I back it up before downgrade? As for now, I exported all notes to html and copied whole database from C:\Users\[PC Name]\Evernote\Databases. Is it enough? I know it may sound a bit paranoid, but I'm very attached to my notes, thanks for any help!
  14. Sorry - please ignore this question. I found the answer right after I wrote the question. I'm a new user but I've read that the only way to avoid syncing selected notes or notebooks is to set up a local notebook. But I can't find information on how to set up a local notebook. I'll be putting some notes in my pc that I do not want to show up on my iphone. Can someone tell me how to do that? Thanks.
  15. Any way we can assign tags to images in a note(or at least insert a tag line on top of a image in that note)? I have lots of images in one note so I can browse through them easily by swiping left/right in IOS/Android Apps. But some images share the same characteristics so I want to assign a tag for these images. Right now I have to create separate folders to manually sort out all images in "Main folder", say folder 1, folder 2. I use main folder to insert all images and I use sorting folders to group images sharing the same characteristics. I have to manually copy each image in main folder to different sorting folders. That's very painful and causes multiple copies for one "master" image and if I want to annotate the "master" image, I have to copy the changed master image to the sorting folders again. Main folder(10 images) folder 1(5 images) folder 2(4 images)

  17. Hello, I am a student of Gdank University of Physical Education and Sport (Poland). I wanted to try Evernote Premium for students, but is not possible for me since I cannot enter the email of my university. I found other universities of physical education from Poland that are able to have the discount. My question is if it's possible to add mine to be able to have access for the discount?   18. I want to turn of auto-renewal payment but I don't want to lose the time I have paid for. This is not very good for the customer. Evernote has made it very difficult for customers to do this simple step without feeling like they lose their account.
  19. Can someone please tell me how to cancel auto renewal on my subscription? I've been in contact with support regarding another issue and he said to cancel auto renewal on my account but won't tell me how or where to go to do this. I don't want to deactivate the account, just make it so they won't charge me again without them asking me first.

  21. I've upgraded to evernote plus. My current (monthly) cycle is 11 May to 11 June 2018. I want to stop Evernote from billing me next month onwards (the next cycle starting 11 June), if I select to downgrade to 'basic' right now (11 May) will I keep my subscription til 11 June? I just don't want to be charged a second time, and I want to keep this month's subscription that I have already paid for.
  22. Hi All, We've been receiving some inquiries about how to acquire a Developer Token. (https://dev.evernote.com/doc/articles/dev_tokens.php) Previously, this was an automated process. Moving forward, developers will need to make a manual request in order to obtain a Developer Token. You can reach out to myself or our Forum Support Staff via direct message, or you can make a request via Support Ticket. Once enabled, you should be able to obtain a token here. Hopefully this information provides some clarification on this process, and let me know if you have any questions!
  23. Why, when I log into Evernote.com to access my data, is Evernote trying to set third party cookies to DoubleClick.net and Tealiumiq.com? DoubleClick is an ad tracking company. What are they paying you for when I open my notes? I am not sure what Tealiumiq is even after going to their website. I am continuing to block their cookies, and uBlock Origin is blocking DoubleClick scripts.
  24. How can I change my login e-mail address? I try logging in with my current email address, but Evernote keeps saying that my new e-mail has already been used, can't change. What can I do?
