  1. Hello, Lately in my Mac Evernote client (6.4), I'm finding an annoying issue with text alignment in tables. I cannot, for the life of me, actually choose 'Left alignment'. Instead it goes to center and the text is centered. I can choose 'Justify' and the text is left aligned, basically. I don't understand this. Any ideas? Justin
  2. The web app on my mac only has one date format for reminders, which is US only. This is M/D/Y. Most of the world however will find such a format confusing as they use D/M/Y. There needs to be an option like in the apps. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_format_by_country Regards Fran Cotton 15/10/2014
  3. Hi Evernote, First I would like to say you have an amazing product, and I have temporarily converted from my original OneNote deployments to Evernote. It truly works exceptionally well except in one small regard... ...The TAB Key.... I use outline formats for my notes as I find it easier to keep track of things. Through the Website and Windows client this is fine, as I can use the TAB key to indent to the next lower level and Evernote will automatically put the bullet in a next space appropriately. I will say that the formatting support through OneNote still has some other advantages in this regard as they have more options for font support, bullet layout etc., but we can save that for another discussion. The problem with the android client is that it doesn't recognize the tab key. That being said, yes, I know that most android devices don't even have a tab key to begin, such as my HTC EVO Shift, however my ASUS Transformer does via it's keyboard docking station, and I am sure so does Apple given the various Bluetooth keyboards that are available. The second part of this issue is that when I create an outline format via the web or Windows client, and may have several sub notes and bullets under the main start of the outline, I can view it just as I created it inside the Android client. However if I attempt to "edit" that particular note, all previously created and saved formatting is immediately lost and all lines are shifted back to standard left. I would like to see this small issue corrected at some point. It is my last hold out to fully converting over to Evernote. Regards
  4. Evernote is a great experience. Except for making lists/bullet points. They're bulky, waste space, and don't format well. Trying to copy/paste into/from other apps results in a huge mess, so I just avoid using the built in tools altogether. In this sense, it needs more word processing power. A few more settings like the ability to manage lists, control numbering, indent, and spacing to fix this problem.
  5. And I can't get them to go away! Has anyone else encountered this? I have tried Edit>Paste and match style instead of my usual Command-V, but even that doesn't do the trick. Anyone know a workaround, or am I looking right at it and missing it? (We just moved house, so anything is possible!) Thanks
  6. All my notes are now on plain white background. What happened? How can I formate my note backgrounds? Thank you!
  7. I filed this bug with Evernote support, and after three weeks, it was closed automatically, without anyone even glancing at it. Maybe someone will look at it here on the forum. Observed: Terrible formatting (one single column of characters) for clipped text. Steps to reproduce: 1) Install the Evernote Webclipper extension in Chrome. 2) Search in Google for a word definition, e.g. "define civet" 3) At the top of the Google results, there is a nice block containing the definition. 4) Click the Webclipper button. 5) Select "Article". 6) In the selected area, all of the Google results are included. 7) I want only the definition at the top, not all the other search results, so I use the 'minus' (+/-) button at the top of the selection to shrink the selection. 8) Click 'Save' in Webclipper. 9) Go to my notebook in evernote.com. 10) The definition that I just clipped has terrible formatting. All the letters appear in a single long column.
  8. Hi All, I am a huge fan of evernote and I am keen to go completerly paperless by scanning to a file any paper I do get. However I am struggling to find an optimal DPI and image format to scan and upload my bills / important papers to evernote. So far I have tried JPG and PNG at 600dpi with file sizes 1-10 and 10-40mb respectively using irfanview because I can specify where to scan each file and they are autonumbered. My problem is if evernote is to be used effectively everything should be stored in evernote - to increase the power of its search. Can anyone suggest a better option as I am only on a free account and uploading even the JPG files will use my 60mb upload limit very very quickly! Any help much appreciated. Josh.
