  1. I'm running across this problem... I've reinstalled the extension many times but it save nothing but text. It's not really useful if you can't save a complete web page with stylesheets and images. Is that a bug or I'm missing something? Thanks
  2. My webclips don't seem to sync with the website completely when using the newest versions of web clipper or the FF extension. On the website, I see the new tags coming in, but the clips themselves are not loading. I'm connected through a proxy, but this doesn't seem to prevent the Windows desktop client from syncing properly. Not sure what changed recently on my end, but I'm quite sure the web clipper used to work before.
  3. Today, I encountered the same issue with my web clipper extension in Firefox on 2 separate machines, one a Mac, and the other a PC running Windows XP Pro. First, if you all included this as a "new feature" but I used to just click the little extension and it would automatically create a web version of the page I was on and place it into my Evernote notebook. Now, if I don't select anything, it comes up with a message about a "quick note," and if I actually want to save something I have to manually select it. I think this sucks, personally. I would at least like to see if there is a way to set up what I would like as a default - either the "quick note" or the "auto web clip." Second issue is a technical glitch that I experienced on both machines. After selecting text and creating a note, the back button on the browser no longer works. I have to manually go back to the home page of the website and navigate back to where I was. Let me know your thoughts and recommendations. Thank you, Eric
  4. Why is it that since I installed Evernote 3 I have to run it in order to have the Web Clipper in Firefox to work? Can't I just have the old functionality? I like having as few applications running on my computer as possible since I'm rather limited in memory.
  5. Hi,...I just downloaded the Clipmarks extension for Firefox and have found it very nice to clip things to evernote...just clip what I want and send an email to my evernote address...I think you guys (devs) should take a look at how it works, as I think it works better with evernote than the current clippers: I get tidier results from webpages!!!
  6. My Firefox web clipper has recently started clipping to the web version of Evernote instead of the desktop version. I'd much rather clip to the desktop client, since it's faster and requires less clicking. I'm not sure whether it changed the last time Firefox updated itself or whether the change was pushed out by Evernote. I'm running Windows XP and the latest Firefox on multiple computers; it's occurred on all the computers in the last few days. Is there a way to specify where the web clipper sends things, or to return it to clipping to the desktop client?
  7. Hello: I can't seem to clip Hebrew text using IE7 . Here's what i get when I try it in Internet Explorer 7: , Using Firefox, Evernote shows this: אָכֵן מְיֻדָּעִי, זְנַחְתַּנִי מְאֹד עַד כִּי קְרָאתִיךָ: אֲבִי זָנוֹחַ. Is there a way to get this to get Evernote to work in IE 7 as well? I'm crossing over from Google Notebook to Evernote. Hebrew works perfectly fine in Google Notebook with either browser. Suggestions? Thanks in advance: -Eliuri Windows XP Pro IE7 Firefox 3.0.5
  8. In migrating from Delicious one thing I find myself really missing is some sort of indication of when I'm visiting a page that I have clips from. When researching various topics it's common to find myself at the same site, but sometimes it's weeks or months apart so I have a hard time remembering. It would be awesome if the Evernote icon for the Firefox extension could change color (or something along those lines) to indicate if the current domain appears as a source for any clips. Some optional features that would make it even more awesome would be... - A dropdown list displaying the title of the associated clips that link to the clips themselves. - Inline highlighting of the clipped parts of the page within the page itself. Thanks for a great product!
  9. Hello, First, I want to say that Evernote changes my IT life! Yesterday, I updated Evernote to the 3.0.0.981 version on my Windows XP computer. I use extensively the Web Clipper button on Firefox 3.0. Unfortunately, since this update, I've such a big problem. Before, when I clicked on the Web Clipper button, the web page (or the text selection) goes to the Windows application directly, like for a screenshot. But now, when I use the Web Clipper button, a pop-up appears and I have to register. If I put my login and my password, it creates a new note on the Website and not on the Windows soft... My question is: Is it a bug? If not, how I can change it? Thanks for your help/answer! -MATSYA- P.S : Because my English isn't as good as it should be, I will write it in French underneath. If some French people wants to improve what I wrote, please feel free to do it. -MATSYA-
  10. The Evernote WebClipper clearly has some sort of a bug in it's code, as evidenced by the fact that I am joined by several dozen other people on these forums who have not been able to get the Evernote WebClipper to properly store a cookie (so that when I enter my username and password, and make sure to check "Remember", it will remember me)...The unfortunate fact is, that it simply doesn't remember! If you search these forums for the words ("Firefox" + "Remember"), you will see that there are dozens of other users with the same exact problem...The Evernote admin consistently responds to these people by informing them that they must have somehow altered or changed their cookies settings from the default Firefox configuration...THIS IS NOT THE CASE!! I CAN ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE YOU OF IT!!! Evernote is the one and only Firefox 3 add-on I use (in my collection of about 40+ add-ons) that is unable to store a cookie properly...EVERY SINGLE OTHER THIRD-PARTY FIREFOX EXTENSION, PLUG-IN, BOOKMARKLET, GREASEMONKEY SCRIPT, ETC THAT IN SOME WAY USES A COOKIE, WORKS JUST FINE AND ALWAYS HAS!!... Everything else that utilizes a cookie is able to store that cookie properly so that days and weeks will go by before I have to log-in again...The Evernote WebClipper is guaranteed to require that I log-in over, and over, and over (with approximately a 1-day maximum time frame between logins, regardless of the fact that I may be continually using the WebClipper in this 1-day time-frame)... THIS IS THE ONE MASSIVE ISSUE WITH THIS EXTENSION, AND WITH EVERNOTE AS A WHOLE...THIS PROBLEM ONCE AND FOR ALL NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED FOR THE GOOD OF ALL EVERNOTE USERS that use the WebClipper!!! PLEASE, admin, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE....FIX THIS ISSUE ONCE AND FOR ALL! I look forward to a resolution, if you can manage...Thanks! 11. Whenever I use clip to Evernote in Firefox (ver 3.03), I can't use the back page button. In other words, after clipping something to Evernote in Firefox, either using the web clipper button or the right mouse button, I can't return to the previous page. (Alt-left arrow also doesn't work.) This happens with the three computers that I have Firefox installed on. The back button is no longer functioning. (This does not happen with Internet Explorer, however.) Is there a fix for this? Not being able to go back a page after clipping a webpage or portion of a page into Evernote is a problem. Thanks.
  12. Hi I love this app so much I signed up for the Premium version. But, recently I have been toying with ZipClip (www.zipclip.com) - which is like a "reverse" Evernote. I love how they implemented their "web clipping" feature - integrated directly into Firefox's shell. So, a quick right-click and it sends images or selected text to my account. Right now, Evernote web clipping means clicking on the bookmarklet, and signing in before it will send the selected items to my account. Much slower and more steps required. Will Evernote be looking at improving the web clipping feature for Firefox to perhaps something similar? I noticed you guys work very quickly on improving features and updating the UI. Hopefully, this will be something that you will consider.
  13. I like the webclipper that appeared on the navigation bar and clipped directly to the local client. Is that still available? Or was it replaced with the bookmarklet? Any reason they can't both be offered? Strange, I updated my Vista laptop last week and Firefox 3 got the clipper. I just now updated my Vista desktop and I did not get the clipper.
  14. I'm experiencing a new bug when I try to click to Evernote with highlighted text - if I'm already logged in. If I'm logged out it works fine. If I am logged in (password saved) - I get this image: Which means I can't assign tags, put in a notebook, etc. This is on Firefox 1.5 (work - can't upgrade!)
  15. When I use the EN3 Firefox add-on to clip web pages to the Windows client, the notes get a link at the bottom saying "Go to source web page: ..." This does not occur when I use the "Clip to Evernote" link for the web only client. I really like that feature in the Windows client, but I am not allowed to have the Windows client on one of my office PCs. Is there any way to setup the Web client to do the same thing?
