  1. Has anyone found a working Firefox add-on that allows you to save web content to Evernote from Firefox? I want to save the content AS-IS, so "Clearly" won't work... the one time I tried to use Clearly, it kept "hiding" the specific part of the page I wanted to save! So I don't want something that will change the page layout in accordance with its own whims, I just want to save the page content as-is. The Web Clipper extension would be perfect, except that it's been broken for years, and only works a very small percentage of the times that I need it. It keeps removing itself from the toolbar and customization options, and there's nothing to suggest it will ever be fixed... the button disappears from the toolbar, and is no longer available in the "Customize" option that lets you place buttons on the toolbars, making it completely 100% unusable. It's just GONE. The only solution is to uninstall, restart, and reinstall, and I'm getting tired of having to do that every time I want to use it. So... anyone found something that works to clip web content to Evernote from Firefox, or am I looking at my two most indispensable tools simply never working together?
  2. I installed web clipper 6.1 on a new PC with Firefox 43.0.3 / Win 10. The installation went well, I see the button and it opens - but I see no login option. Unfortunately there is no information were to find the login on the Evernote Website... just marketing gibberish. How do i log in? Or is it a bug? The last topic relating to this issue I found was from 2013. Thanks for your help!
  3. Hello, so i use instead of the Clearly the WebClipper. It is Okay, but some Problems i do not understand: WebClipper never close after the clipping action i must close the opened tab to abort that (right on the top, the Window will never close!) but it clips it to the Evernote Desktop Client - that is no problem after the Clipping, a Evernote Window will suddenly open, what can i do in the Options, that this will not do i want, that the Window will not open, only clipping the Text is, what i want to Evernote Desktop I hope, someone can help me! Best regards...
  4. The Web Clipper page on the Mozilla add-ons site states that the current version supports clipping from Gmail, but the product page on evernote.com says otherwise. The functionality is obviously not present in the Firefox plugin, but why? When will it be added in?
  5. Hi all, We have a release candidate version for the new Firefox Web Clipper that we'd like to invite a few select people to start testing. It is a complete re-write and doesn't share any code with the previous version so we expect some turbulence in the beginning. When you report issues please post your OS, Firefox versions, URL where an issue can be observed and as much details as necessary for us to reproduce the problem. Not expected to work in this version: - Sharing Get the latest build here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/evernote-web-clipper/versions/ And feel free to post both design & performance feedback as well as straight up bugs.
  6. Can someone explain why the reminder from webclipper is missing on firefox. I have used chrome and there once I save a clipped article there is a window that shows up after the article is saved. there is a small clock icon to set reminder directly from that window. Now I just found out that it is not available on firefox. Very disappointing! EN's Firefox extension is nothing compared to chrome's
  7. I just noticed that I have been receiving a bunch of charges on my iTunes account for files I have saved from the web into Evernote. One was $8.43!! Does anyone know why I am being charged? I have Evernote Plus.
  8. In OneNote, if you clip a webpage it automatically places the hyperlink to that page at the bottom of the clip on the page/tab created in OneNote. Unfortunately, I cannot see how this is accomplished in Evernote Web Clipper and I have to include it manually. Can this automatic insertion of the hyperlink to the clipped page by introduced?
  9. I'm reading a webpage - I click on Clearly - I click on Clip to Evernote - I click on Edit Bluhell Firewall 2.5.2 reports : This web page at www.evernote.com has been blocked by Bluhell Firewall
  10. I have been struggling to use the web clipper effectively, since it seems to prevent the user from selecting the region they want to clip when using the Simplified Article mode (or really anything other than selection). For example, I am trying to clip this web forum page, but I run into issues with each approach. I've attached screenshots of the types of clips below. The full article basically does a full page capture, but as you can see in the screenshot ("full.JPG"), it, as expected, captures all the background colors and formatting. To remove this, I attempted using the simplified article view. As you can see in "simplified_top.JPG," it does simplify correctly, but in the "simplified_bottom.JPG" image, you can see that the article stops at the end of the first forum post. Not only is there no way to tell the Web Clipper to collect more than just that, I can't seem to find a way to capture the remaining data as a simplified article and append it by merging notes. I am wondering how I can go about capturing everything in simplified form (so I can delete the remainder later), or force it to capture a selected region, but with the simplified formatting. Thanks!
  11. Note: I am using the Waterfox version of Firefox. I just made a few changes and the tag option no longer appears in the drop-down "Save" menu. The changes I made: Clicked options on the Save dialog while attempting to save a bookmark, set start as bookmark, send to desktop. Upon return from the options, the tag that I had set for that bookmark had disappeared. Proceeded to save, then added bookmark via desktop. Inconvenient! My next attempted to save another URL as a bookmark brings up the Save dialogue WITHOUT the tags option. Maybe this is just one of those Waterfox only bugs. But now I seem to be stuck with this limited functionality in the web clipper. How to undo this? Cheers, David
  12. Greets. Sometimes I get a blank line when clipping pages using simplified page. eg http://www.citylab.com/politics/2015/12/china-cracks-down-on-politcally-incorrect-maps/421032/ where it inserts the following code above the H1 Heading. <div> <div style="margin-bottom: 5px;"> <br> </div> [edit] Other examples as i find them 19/12/2015 http://www.moonshinemetropolis.com/wordpress/
  13. I need to copy certain content from the web that may be volatile, i.e., the content may subsequently change or disappear entirely. When I use Web Clipper to copy a page at time 0, will it save (cache) this content in my Evernote folder, so that when I access it at time 1, it returns a valid copy of the web page as it existed at time 0 rather than as it may exist at time 1? Does it make any difference whether I have Basic or Premium Evernote subscription?
  14. Web Clipper 6.1 is again available for download and we are still awaiting the final approval from Firefox. Firefox Web Clipper 6.1 can be downloaded here Several fixes have been included: CPU load reduced greatly, should make it smoother to work with in general and especially when you have many tabs open. We believe we have fixed most occurrences of the missing toolbar button. Fixed issue that threw error message 'EDAM-USER....' when trying to save a clip. % symbols at beginning and end of strings on options page. Please note that it may take Firefox 3-5 months to review this build and give it final approval. After which users will automatically updated. Feel free to report any issues in the 6.1 build in this thread. Please include as many details as possible as well as the Firefox and OS versions.
  15. I just moved up to the Firefix beta 43.0b1 and as part of the process an incompatble add-in - clipper 6.1 - was disabled. Now when I go to the add-ons page there's a big 'not compatible' warning on the standard clipper, and if I go to the history page, which is where I found 6.1 last time I looked, it's not even listed. I can load the incompatble 6.0.15, so I'll carry on using it for the time being.. hope you guys are looking at the Firefox updates...
  16. 51Why is it when I share a link to a saved clip the full clip does not show when the link is clicked. In my files the clip is correct (full width) but the share link produces an image that is reduced width cutting off some of the info. It's not scaled down, just cutoff on the right hand side. You can try the link to see what I mean: http://www.evernote.com/l/APcrmkTvYRNJO7wnKor6VUKDP7oB6GlNeJ0/
  17. Hi, Evernote was working great for me. I use it to clip recipes etc off the net. But now everytime I try to clip a recipe I get the error EDAMUserException. Does anyone know how I can rectify this and why it has happened? Thanks.
  18. I’m running OS X 10.9.5 (13F1077) and Safari Version 7.1.6 (9537.85.15.3) on a MacBook Air. This morning, I uninstalled the Evernote Web Clipper and then downloaded and installed a new web clipper (Version 6.6) from the Evernote website. The downloaded application added an Evernote Web Clipper button to the Safari toolbar. The button does not work. I am able to clip a web page, screenshot or bookmark by right clicking the desired webpage. This is also the case when I try the button on Firefox (41.0.2). However, it does work on Chrome (Version 46.0.2490.80 (64-bit)). I love the button and the user experience once the clipper window pops up. I particularly like the ability to clip a “simplified article”. I want the button to work again on Safari and Firefox, and if that isn't possible than I want the drop-down list when I right-click on a webpage to include a “simplified article” option.
  19. I love the concept behind evernote and even more with webclipper. I decided to try it out for a while to see if it would be worth upgrading. Well, webclipper worked for a while and lately it isn't clipping pages anymore, nor articles. I went along clipping pages not realizing they were not being clipped even though the web clipper stated they were added to my evernote. It's like they were bookmarked not clipped and I have always selected to have the article clipped. If I want to bookmark something I don't use webclipper. Why would anyone pay for an upgrade if it doesn't work right. I have mozilla and the webclipper addon. I've seen in forums posted a 6.1 version but when I try to update it says there's no update. Firefox only shows 6.0...... Your online help section is not helpful at all to resolve this so I am very frustrated Any help to get this working again or do I forget about evernote?
  20. Mac OS: Yosemite 10.10.5 (14F27) Firefox: 41.0.2 Evernot Desktop app: Version 6.1.1 (452254 App Store) Evernote Web Clipper: 6.1 Trying to clip a web page to Evernote desktop doesn't work. I click 'save' and brief clipping alert shows, then Evernote Desktop comes to the front, but there's no new note. I've reinstalled the web clipper, restered Firefox multiple times.
  21. I am using Firefox v 41.0.1 and when I try to clip and save an article on a web page, I get the error: "Error: EDAMUserException". HELP!
  22. I do not want the Clipper. I have no use for it, yet it continues to run after I have closed Evernote. There should be a way to completely disable the Clipper via the Options menu, so that it never runs. It is ok for it to be "on" by default upon installation, but users should have the option to completely disable it. Maybe a better thing would be an "Enable" checkbox that is checked by default upon installation. Users could then uncheck the box. This is really ticking me off.
  23. Hi. I just finished ROFLMAO after reading a new Evernote email received about an hour ago. Apparently we are celebrating "Perfect Clips, More Control, Your favourite websites", since we are now able to get more and better detail from LinkedIn, NYT Cooking, Amazon and YouTube. So I clicked YouTube to test this out (with my current clipper, since there's no mention I need to get upgraded). I clicked into a Rick Astley performance. Which as you may remember, is not something you want to do unexpectedly, though I do hold Mr Astley in the highest respect as a consummate performer. I didn't try that option any further. Then I tried LinkedIn. And got sent to the new Evernote guy Chris O'Neill. I hope Chris is looking to increase his connections, because I've sent him a request - with a headsup that he might be getting a few more... I'll let you know if I get a response. I've not tried the others - I can only assume that someone in the marketing department is leaving, and thought this would be a good parting gift. AFAIK we're not missing added functionality for the clipper guys! There are some 'features' that could do with tidying up, and I'd really like the Outlook clipper to go back to multiple selections. But given that you're just entering into a period of concentrating on core issues, flaunting new bells and whistles is not a good choice! <Sigh>
  24. Hello, EvernoteClipper is making me angry because there seems no way to control it and it uses resources on my fairly old computer. There is no way to turn off the Clipper in the Options. The process always runs, even when I exit Evernote. I am sick of having to end the process manually via Task Manager. I do not use the Clipper. I do not want the Clipper. Is there some way to delete the Clipper without making Evernote crash?
