  1. Am using Evernote 4.0.0.106602 on Firefox (actually Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b8pre) Gecko/20101126 Firefox/4.0b8pre). Webclipper is failing. Now, you might say the above Firefox level is unsupported. Fair enough but the Firefox Error Consols suggests the problem isn't with Firefox: Error: conten is not defined Source File: chrome://webclipper3-common/content/libs/evernote/overlay.js Line: 27 In lines 26 to 28 we have: if (typeof content.console != 'undefined') { console = conten.console; } else { which COULD be corruption of the extension but looks like a typo. I'm also not sure the test in line 26 is the compactest. :-) Someone please corroborate / investigate. Thanks, Martin
  2. I'm surprised that there is no post about the Evernote Web Clipper add-on being incompatible with Firefox 4. There have been many beta versions of Firefox 4, and they are getting close (2 months perhaps?) to a final release. Could we have some feedback on if this will be fixed shortly? Thanks!
  3. I hope that with time, it can be improved so that it be loaded faster... I use it many times for overcoming the limitation that the Mac Desktop clipper has regarding keeping the HTML linkage from Firefox. I dont care for formatting because most time i won't use Evernote for keeping entire webpages saved. I just want to save chunks of texts, with links, for reference. But thanks for the great application!
  4. Hi, I Use Firefox 3.6.8 and installed the Evernote Addon (in German). When I mark a text and click the Evernote button it works fine. I can add tags and a text in the small window and submit it. But if I like to remember a URL, it does not. Nothing is marked and I click the button and another small windows appears where I could enter tags and a text. It has a "Save URL" button at the bottom or save whole page next to it. But before I am even able to enter anything, this page diasappears and I get forwarded to the list of saved notes I already have got (a page with a tab with green background). The new note with the URL I wanted to tag and submit is not submitted. I tried to use the different settings for "save whole page" in the add-on settings but that does not help. It also does not matter if I have got the Evernote Windows software running or not. Any clues?
  5. I have Firefox 3.6.8 running on Windows 7 (x86) with the Evernote Web Clipper 4.0.0.87683 installed. For the past few days I can't clip selected text. I press the button in the button bar, but nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't resolve the problem. Anyone else having problems? Thanks, Rich
  6. Firefox updated itself this morning to v3.6.7 and now I can no longer sign in when using Web Clipper (not sure if the browser update is the cause?) After pressing the button, the pop-up seems to accepts my password, briefly shows 'Synchronizing' then reverts back to the log-in. No clips appear in Evernote Web. See: http://screencast.com/t/YjFkN2QwN I know it's the correct password because if I purposefully enter it wrongly the pop-up displays an error message. NB Web Clipper Bookmarklet works fine but it's functionality (opening a new window) is clunky and I would much rather use the button and Right-click context menu. Anyone having the same problem?
  7. For some reason my evernote extension for firefox has started opening up my existing notes, and I'm unable to add a new one. Sometimes the screen to add a new note will appear for a split second, and then it disappears again. I'm running firefox 3.6.6 on ubuntu 10.04 x64, fairly stock configuration.
  8. When I use the Firefox Extension Evernote Clipper 4.0.087683 a log in box pops up (even when I'm already logged in to Evernote). When I log in, the box simply refreshes, hanging on to my log in name, but asking for the password again. Needless to say, none of the "clips" ever show up in my notebooks. Any ideas?
  9. When I clip a whole page with the Chrome extension, it looks beautiful - exactly as I see it. When I clip a whole page with the Firefox plugin, it looks CSS-less - quite ugly. The page? One on evernote.com ;-) Specifically, the "Mobile" tab on : http://www.evernote.com/about/integration/
  10. I've installed the update for the web clipper for Firefox into my Flock 2.5.6 browser (which is built on Firefox), and now it no longer works. I had no problems with it before the update. (I'm running this on Mac OS X, 10.6.3) Now, when I click the clipper button nothing at all happens. I've tried uninstalling, restarting Flock, reinstalling, then restarting Flock again, but it didn't help.
  11. Seems to me that I used to be able to use the FireFox extension and choose a tag when I clipped...v v useful...it's when you clip that you have the tag in mind. I know I can use the "Clip to Evernote" but then have to wait an age for the launch. Is there a better way? thanks
  12. Hi, I have been using my web clipper for Evernote with Firefox for sometime now with no problems. Since yesterday however when I attempt to use the web clipper I get the following: Oops... Unexpected Error Our server has experienced unexpected difficulties processing your request. (/Login.action) We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. My desktop clipper and iphone clipper work fine - and all sync perfectly. I just cannot use my web clipper. Any idea why? Thanks, Rowan
  13. When i try and install the web clipper add-on in Firefox 3.6.3 it gives me the error: Evernote Web Clipper 3.0.0.71760 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 3.6.3. Evernote 3.5.3.1964 is installed on my computer and I am logged in. My computer is 64 bit Windows 7.
  14. Is there an ways way to clip an article that spans webpages into a single note? When using Firefox, I used to have an extension that would basically load all the different pages into one webpage. Then, I could clip all of it into one note. Now that I am using Google Chrome, I haven't found an extension to do the same thing. So, I have to bring up page 1 of the article, highlight and clip. Then go to page 2. If I highlight and clip, it goes into a separate note. I then have to go into EN (Windows client or web) and copy the second note to the first.... Hopefully there is a faster / easier way to do this.
  15. I remember disabling it; now I want it back. How do I enable clipping of entire web pages using the web clipper add-on in Firefox? Thanks! Jerome
  16. Hello. Because I am Japanese, it is not good at English sentences. Please forgive me. I am using "Firefox3.5.7". The installation of "Web Clipper 3.0.0.65223" was tried several times. However, it doesn't succeed. An old version was tested. However, the result is the same. The installation work of "Add-on" succeeds. However, the installation is not done though "FireFox" is reactivated. The environment of my personal computer is as follows. ・Windows XP ・Professional ・Version 2002 ・Service pack 3 I am very embarrassed now. Someone, please solve this problem. I am using the translation software. Please teach in simple sentences.
  17. After weeks of Firefox hasseling me to download version 3.6, I finally gave in and now Evernote clipper will not re install. It's saying it's not compatible with this new version. I checked on the site and it does say it's compatible up to version 3.7, so I'm not too sure what the problem is. It's all very, very frustrating. Can someone please help me! Thanks
  18. Firefox Evernote Web Clipper 3.0.0.65223 Occasionally I get the German Error Box 'Kann Notiz nicht erstellen' (unable to build note) I cannot see a pattern for this error. Thank you, Ulf Cihak Nuernberg/Germany
  19. I just switched to Firefox 3.6 beta 3, and the Evernote Web Clipper became disabled. I re-enabled it (via Add-On Compatibility Reporter), and it all seems to work fine; I can clip from web pages just as I did in 3.5. Could you publish a new version with 3.6 enabled?
  20. I have some reports and other documents for several projects in Google Docs. I would like to associate these with a notebook in Evernote, so I can pull them up in the context of other relevant materials I've clipped. So far, I haven't found any elegant way to do it, and I've run into some issues using the Firefox extension / bookmarklet: - If I open the clip window on a Google Doc and check "clip full page", it grabs all the extraneous links and buttons and then seems to hit a character limit, as it doesn't actually get down to the content of the Doc. - If I highlight some or all of the content in the Google Doc first, the Clip window comes up, but displays "Loading Clip" in an h1 tag and then hangs. - If I open the clip window before highlighting anything, I can then manually copy and paste some or all of the Google Doc content into the "add text" box, but it's an annoying extra step and formatting is lost. So I guess I'll be moving forward with the third option, but I'm curious if there are known issues around clipping Google Docs, or perhaps workarounds that people have found? My ideal would be to share my Google Doc with an Evernote entity and then have the content of that Google Doc be searchable in Evernote...
  21. I use the webclipper bookmark a lot in FireFox v3.5.3 on several computers...it's very handy. But I consistently get inconsistent behavior in the tag autocomplete feature. That is, sometimes the autocomplete works and sometimes it doesn't. It's been doing this for a long time and I've not been able to discern any pattern to when the autocomplete feature will work and when it doesn't. When autocomplete doesn't work, it behaves as if my tag list is empty. I can still type in tags manually, but the autocomplete pop-up thing never happens...so I have to remember the spelling of each tag specifically. I can still use the Webclipper when the autocomplete doesn't work, it's just not as convenient. Do others have this problem, too? Since I get this behavior across multiple computers, I'm assuming others see the same thing. -- dgg
  22. The latest version of the Webclipper plugin for Firefox now sends clips to the online collection rather than the running Windows version on my machine. What is truly irritating about this change is that no matter which collection I designate as the target in the dialog which appears, the clip is saved in the default collection. Since this isn't what should happen I'm surprised I haven't been able to find any existing discussion about the problem - is no one else seeing this problem or am I missing something very obvious? I can see no simple way to work around this as there are no options settings for the plug-in and I cannot call up the dialog without trying to clip something first, which is a waste of time. Why can't the clipper just send it to the collection I have active in the version running on my machine, or to the collection I designate when the plug-in asks? Thanks for any help!
  23. Hi, all, Finally, I think I find the root cause of my Evernote bookmarklet not working properly in Firefox, which I thought it was because of the upgrade of Firefox 3.5 at first. Now I narrow the problem into the upgrade of one of my extensions, Noscript upto 1.9.5. Before the upgrade of the extension, everything worked just fine. After the upgrade, the popup windows after hitting the bookmarklet only display 2 lines of text: Loading Clip and Close Clipper. However, after closing the clipper, the page is clipped into my notebook in use twice. Even I set Noscript to temporarily allow all scripts in the page I want to clip, the problem persists. However, if I disable Noscript and restart Firefox, Evernote bookmarklet works fine. When I re-enable Noscript and restart Firefox, the problem appears again. Evernote bookmarklet and Noscript extension are equally important to me. Is there any suggestion to resolve the problem?
  24. I downloaded the add-on for thunderbird on ubuntu 9.04 and it appears to install properly, but I do not see it under tools? Anyone else done this successfully? I am hoping to get similar behavior as firefox plugin on ubuntu - upload directly to evernote web client.. Until a linux client is available.. hint hint
  25. I'm finding it difficult to work without a Web clip add-on for Firefox 3.5 Beta 4. Is there any chance of an update sometime soon, please? NF
