  1. I would love the ability to add multiple reminders per note. For instance, if I'm in a meeting, and have 5 action items, I'd love to be able to assign 5 separate reminders to each of my check-box action items. Currently, I use a color coding system to know which action items I still have to complete.
  2. Hello. I'm a premium Evernote user. One of my main uses of Evernote is to make lists of websites or articles I find useful in a single note as multi level bulleted lists and linking them to their URL so it's easily clickable. This is very easy to do in the Desktop and Web app using the Ctrl+K shortcut or the Add Link button. But the Android app doesn't have an option to add hyperlink to a word or a sentence. This is a very basic function and should have been easy to implement even on Android. I'm posting this forum post from my phone and even this text box has a link option but the Evernote app doesn't! I would request the Android developer team to consider it. A simple button beside the Bold, Italic buttons at the bottom to add a hyperlink would be very useful. Thanks.
  3. I have just gotten Ubuntu 13.04 on my computer. Is there an Evernote for Linux or should I just use Wine?
  4. Hi... Tried EN many moons ago, then went with OneNote but EN's cloud and accessible anywhere features are bringing me back...Enough kudos... Is there a way to mark a note as "read-only" so I cannot accidentally erase or modify it? Thanks. Alex
  5. I do like the new layout with larger thumbnails, except for one thing: Evernote seems to choose as thumbnail the largest image within a note. But it is rather annoying, for it seldom coincides with the image which would enable me to recognize a note at once. Can I somehow force Evernote to use a specific image as thumbail? Marcelo
  6. For example if I want move up a note towards the top of the notebook stack manually. Is this possible?
  7. If you could add this feature, it would make my life complete!!!! So it would be a reminder/alarm at a regular period ie. every Monday at 10am, the last day of each month, every day at midday etc. etc.
  8. I love Evernote, but it's preventing me from putting in sensitive content. For example, I can't keep a personal journal notebook, because other people (i.e. girlfriend, family members, etc.) could one day be looking at those notes, especially since they know that I use Evernote often for many purposes. Evernote already has the ability to encrypt single notes. This is useful for things like storing passwords or other temporary sensitive content. But it's not practical to encrypt many notes one by one. I wish I could password-protect a whole notebook. This way, I can do a lot more with Evernote. If I can encrypt single notes, then why can't Evernote just allow me to encrypt entire notebooks? If reason behind this is because Evernote thinks one could lose a lot of data if a notebook password is forgotten, then perhaps Evernote can help recover the passwords through email. In the meantime, I'm stuck with using other apps (i.e. Pages, Day One, etc) to password-protect my content. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  9. I love the 'Save as Template' option for notes that I have to repeatedly create. While I've found it to be a bit frustrating that you cannot edit a template once it's created, I've recently discovered another issue. Apparently there is a limit of 20 templates that we can create? What is the reason for the limit here? I'm sure there are others who regularly use more than 20 templates. I understand that I can have an entire notebook for templates (I already have that for ones that I don't use on a weekly basis). Thanks!
  10. Hmm I counter this problem for a while. It seems to me that I can only change the color of the font rather than the highlight when I call out the "show colors" option under format. Does it mean there is only one color available for highlight at the moment?
  11. I have been an EN user since Beta, and became a Premium user as soon as it was offered. I do not understand why EN is lagging with simple security options, such as easy encryption of notes and notebooks. This really should be as easy as a Right-Click or selection in properties for a Note or Notebook. The existing method of selecting text in a note and then using a Right-Click option to encrypt it is cumbersome at best. Yes, it is a nice feature if one wants to encrypt only a portion of a note. That's fine. But there should be an easy way to (1) encrypt an entire note without selecting text and (2) encrypt an entire notebook. I would be willing to pay a few bucks extra a year for this additional encryption ability. Seems this should be a no-brainier for EN, both as a tech matter and as a business/profit matter.
  12. hi it would be quite nice to support right to left writing direction for languages such as Hebrew, Arabic and Persian. it is really hard to write and read when writing in left to right in those languages. thanks.
  13. Hi, I would like to make a feature request. The default behavior of the web clipper is to create a new note with the selected content in a given notebook. A separate note for every little clip is not always necessary. So, why not include an option to append the clipped content to an existing note. It would be somewhat similar to merging 2 notes, only difference being, the process is now automatic and on-the-fly, instead of being manual. PS: Sorry for the poor English. Thanks, The-Droidster
  14. Hi, With the increased collaboration features "recently" added to Evernote such as Shared Notebooks, it would be very useful if multiple email addresses could be linked to a single Evernote ID, and furthermore that shared notebooks could be shared based on Evernote userID alone as well as one of the associated email addresses. The reason is foremost for people using Evernote to share both private stuff with friends and family, and work stuff with colleagues. If I could either tell them just to share with my userID, or my colleagues simply could share with the email address they already have on file, it would simplify the process significantly, and also not mean "forced" sharing of ones personal email address to work colleagues for instance. Food for thought?
  15. I work a lot with Tables in my notes and would love the ability to have key commands within tables--specifically for Cell Alignment and Merging. Thank you for considering!
  16. Split Screen I'm sure others have requested this, but I cannot find their post at the moment. Have the ability to see multiple notes at once (without having to pop them out and manually put them side by Sid) would be huge! I regularly have to refer to other notes that I've worked on in the past and often run in to the frustration of having to switch back and forth. Multiple panels has been extremely helpful in other programs I use.
  17. Dear Evernote team , I 've been a few years of intensive Evernote users in the private and professional spheres . I work for half a year with a Surface Pro 4 and do not want to miss it . However, unfortunately, very important aspect bothers me tremendously and drove me almost to Onenote : noting the miserable ways handwritten or draw in the Windows version of Evernote . Evernote Touch offers grotesquely no (Surface ) Pen support . The iOS version has indeed integrated drawing function and Penultimate . Is something equivalent for the Windows desktop version plans or ever has in mind ? I need practical advice on how I could solve by other apps by this problem. Greetings, Alex Greetings Alex
  18. Currently, all emails I send to my Evernote "Email Notes to" address land in the "Inbox" notebook. I am suggesting to have a separate email address for each notebook, just like Todoist has a separate email for each project. I know, it is possible to route an email into a specific notebook by adding "@notebook_name" to the email subject but in practice, this is inconvenient, time consuming, and error prone. you have to remember to use "@" (instead of "#" as it is in other applications). You have to type the notebook name correctly. You have to click edit subject + navigate to the end of it + type out the notebook name manually ... For the Todoist projects to which I often email todos, I saved the corresponding email addresses into my address book, all prefixed with "Todoist - " - thus, when I start typing "Todo" in the recipient field, all of my email clients are giving me auto-complete suggestions for all Todoist project email addresses I saved. Very convenient, very fast to use, no danger of mistyping. I'd love to do the same with Evernote notebooks. A nice side effect of not modifying the email subject: all common email clients are automatically grouping emails with the same subject into a thread (even if prefixes like "FWD:" are added). Thus, leaving the subject as is when forwarding to Evernote will attach this forwared email to the same thread as the original one, making it easy and convenient to check which ones you saved to Evernote already. This feature request also reflects the desires of dozens of commenters on the following two feature requests. Yet, I decided to create a separate thread here because the other two are only mentioning this feature among others: Feature Request: Link multiple email addresses to Evernote account Multiple Email Adresses
  19. I would like an option to turn off the Evernote camera's shutter sound. There's a few workarounds right now, here's why I prefer an actual feature: Silence the phone: This is my current workaround and it's relatively easy to do. The problem is there is never a situation when I need or want to hear the shutter sound on my camera when using Evernote. Switching back and forth throughout the day is a nuisance, and Evernote goes to great pains to make its user experience fantastic. There's no need for something this small to get in the way of that. Force Evernote to use the phone's stock camera app or another camera app: I cannot find this setting, and even if I could, I wouldn't use it. I really like Evernote's camera. Turn off the stock camera's shutter setting: It's already off, so this is not a solution for me. I use the Galaxy S3 with Evernote, and I've seen users on the Note 2 with this issue as well. So, if an official setting to turn off the Evernote camera's sound could be implemented, that would be much appreciated.
  20. I would like the ability to copy all the tags from one note and paste them into another note. Here is how I imagine this functionality working: Right-click a note in the Note List. Select Copy Tags from the menu. Right-click a different note in the Note List. Select Paste Tags. Both notes now contain the same tags.
  21. .....last one (for now) When (for instance) summing up an action list i'd like the option to instantly create a new note from the selected text and the created note has the selected text as it's subject Eddyzz
  22. When I send a note via email, the same (old) list of "recent" recipients pops up. It never updates with more recently used addresses and I can't figure out how to delete the old ones. This occurs when I'm using my iPad. Thoughts?
  23. Hello All; I have been using Evernote for about 4 years now and just went to the premium service. I am also in college and starting to write papers. I would like to see a bibliography and references ability added to Evernote. An article in a magazine saying Evernote wanted to be the only information manager you ever needed, convinced me to start using the application. It seems to me citations, bibliographies, and references are the lifeblood of anyone who writes. If Evernote really wants to be the best note taking solution for serious and professional writers, being able to add citations on-the-fly is critical. Regards, Robert Williamson
  24. Could we have an editor for the created/modified dates on the iPad, like we do on the desktop app? Thanks for considering! g.
  25. I see that you can change it manually, but that's such a hassle and it just switches right back to that awful blue color once you move the link anyway. I'd much rather have it be Evernote green!
