  1. Just like on the iPhone with Touch ID, the ability to unlock the app with fingerprint on Android. Since many Android handsets are coming with fingerprint scanner (I have a Nexus 5X), this would be very convenient.
  2. How can I type math equations in Evernote without latex, eat.tags, and macrio. Thanks.
  3. There's a big feature missing in evernote shared notebooks. There should be a feature of getting notifications and alerts when someone edits a share note or notebook.
  4. Hello, we released Evernote version 8.19 update to the App Store today. As always, any feedback is welcome! Thanks Fixed: - Fix for app crash when switching between multiple accounts - Fix for app crash when searching through shared notebooks
  5. Hi Folks - We’re making our new Evernote Web experience available for users to try today. What makes it so shiny and new you ask? We’ve spiffed things up to create more consistent design and interactions across web and other platforms. With the ‘Shared with me’ view, you can now easily see all of the notes and notebooks that have, well, been shared with you. We’ve done some work under the hood to improve search results, so things will now be ordered by relevance instead of date updated. Coming soon to a web experience near you: You may be missing reminders and a tags view, but don’t worry; we’re adding functionality to this new world as we go, so some of your favorite features are still to come. Want in? All you have to do is go to ‘Settings’ and click the ‘Use the new web beta’ link. Give it a spin and then send us any feedback you have by using with ‘Feedback’ button. If the changes aren’t your cup of tea, no worries. You can turn back the clock by navigating to ‘Account’ and clicking on ‘Switch to previous version of Evernote’. New Web Experience
  6. Hi Community / Dev's Having the following issue with my build; Evernote for Mac; OS Ver: 10.13.3; Evernote Build: 6.13.1 When I start my computer I have the Evernote helper load automatically - so the elephant icon is at the top right after the computer starts, the issue is as follows: If I type anything into the helper and hit 'save to Evernote' - then go to my Evernote and look for it - it's not there... BUT If I create a note from within Evernote - all of the notes that were supposed to be saved from the helper suddenly appear. Bug? Settings Problem? Fix? Thanks in advance!
  7. I would like to request a feature that would allow me to move items in a list up or down and the numbers adjust accordingly. Basically, it would help in prioritizing list items. In a Word outline you can use Shift-Control Up/Down arrow to move items around. It is very handy and would take EN lists up a notch. Thanks for considering it! Wayne
  8. Would it be possible to make changes to the table format that would allow adjusting the row height? At present, table column width can be altered. The row height seems to locked and is much bigger than in the past. We have a form that was designed a couple years ago using tables. Unfortunately, some of those tables are no longer compatible with the upgrades that have transpired. The current row height takes up twice as much space as the old format and thus would make our forms very large and more difficult to use. Thank you for your support
  9. OK, I've skimmed through a bunch of posts in this forum but am still confused and may have missed something: Is it possible to create a link from an EN note to an email in Mac Mail? I know there are applescripts and other solutions for importing entire emails but I want to create a single note that has links to multiple different emails. Snow Leopard already has support for the "message://" URL format. Just can't figure out how to use it in EN. The ideas is that I can create a ToDo item that says something like "Respond to Ryan's email about the website" where clicking on the text brings up that email so that I can respond! Relatively new to EN, so apologies if I missed something obvious.
  10. Would be great to be able to merge notes within the app. I merge notes all the time on desktop, which is good for consolidating related content. Would love to be able to do this on mobile.
  11. Is there any hope of getting the ability to change font/test sizes/colors on iOS? There were people in 2012 pointing out that this feature was lacking and here we are in 2015 and we still don't have it. This is a pretty core need and it really surprises me that EN does not support it, given that it is supported on web and desktop.
  12. How can I disable this systematic warning ? "Change access. You are moving a note into "[NotebookName]". People this notebook is shared with will gain access to the note." Since the last version, every time I move a note to a shared notebook, I get this message. Only way to dismiss it is to click on "Move". Since I clip my notes first in my inbox, and then move them to whichever notebook is relevant - and all of my notebooks are shared, I get this warning literally all the time. This is both useless and annoying. It should have been pretty simple and pretty obvious to add a checkbox "don't warn again for this notebook". I'm a plus member with OSX + evernote 7.0.3.
  13. There needs to be a security pin that locks Evernote from being accessed by strangers. If someone loses or gets their laptop stolen, all the notes are there for the picking. A security pin is the least we would need to put up a barrier. It would also be great if we could remove the laptop from accessible devices and make it trigger a deletion of all the data from the laptop before it can be accessed. Right now, it just stops anyone from syncing the account, but all data is still there to view. Thanks, Glenn
  14. Hi, I have been using evernote for quite a while and am mighty impressed with this software, that i have gone premium and enjoying the extended services for over a month. Evernote has helped me organize my thoughts together and put them all in one place. I however, wish one feature was implemented. When users go through their posts in the desktop application, they can individually choose the mouse to highlight the text based on what ever colour they wish. I think using the mouse consumes lot of time : Most of the highlighted text would be normally chosen and highlighted in a default colour. Users should choose the mouse to pick a default colour. As users read through their posts, once they select the text using the mouse, should be able to use keyboard shortcut to highlight the text in non mouse hand. ( e.g (ctrl+ for bold can be done in one hand itself and not (ctrl +alt + h), which uses both hands like in evernote clearly). I wish to know if such a feature exists already, or if not, please forward to developers to consider developing this feature in subsequent versions.
  15. I could not sync my Droid to my computer so I reinstalled evernote on my droid. My droid then showed only 2 files which were long ago. I could not sync with my computer. So I then loged off my Evernote account on my computer and restarted evernote and logged back in of course it then synced with my droid and I lost all my data on my computer. How on earth do I get my data back. Please tell me I can. Thanks
  16. In many MS applications (e.g. PPT, Word, Outlook) there is a short cut to move a bullet within a list of bullets quickly up/down in order to change the order of bullets. It's as simple as selecting a bullet and then hitting either Shift+Alt+Up arrow or Shift+Alt+Down arrow to move the bullet above or below the upper or lower adjacent bullet. Why would this be a great feature for Evernote: I think many people use it to store things in lists, for example todo lists, and it facilitates exactly that in a great way. Curious to learn what others think about this.
  17. Hello! I can't segregate my notebooks and put them in good order. When I long press o the name of a notebook and drag them to another place, it's keep coming back...
  18. Help! I love using Evernote but I can no longer type properly on it! So ever since an update a few months ago, I don't recall exactly when, whenever I type in Evernote android, it's been crazy glitchy. I can type smoothly on every single app on my phone except Evernote so I'm pretty sure Evernote's the issue here. Examples of glitches are: - typing "i" gets deleted after hitting spacebar - backspace on a word adds letters to the word? they --> backspace one letter and the word becomes --> theythe - deleting an empty line before a paragraph deletes the first word of that paragraph - cursor jumps around like when I try to move it - cursor also jumps to a different spot in the middle of typing (I didn't touch anything weird, like it'll jump up way to the top so no way could I have scrolled all the way up in the middle of typing) I can't remember all of them right now but typing is randomly slow as well. Also, my phone has lots of memory because I clean it up at least once a week, deleting cache and other files etc Does anyone else have these problems? Are they fixable?
  19. Hi, I dropped a shared notebook that I was following, and have noticed that I still have a couple of tags from it remaining in my Tag View. This is the only place they exist. They are not in The Tag List in the sidebar My Evernote web account Either of my iOS device clients Things I have tried: Right-click and select Delete Tag (I get a dialog saying that I can't because it's in a Shared notebook) Drag the tag to the Trash (Adds the tag to my Shortcuts) Select the tag and press Backspace (No effect) Select the tag and press Delete (No effect) Create a temporary tag, drag the unwanted tags to it so that they're nested and then delete the parent tag (Deletes the parent and puts the unwanted tags back where they were) Close and restart Evernote and repeat all of the above (Same results) Close all instances of Evernote (Desktop, web, and iOS), restart Desktop and repeat all of the above (Same results) Sign out of Evernote, sign in again and repeat all of the above (Same results) Search the forums and web for suggestions (Found all of the above, but nothing useful unless I was using a Windows client. And a statement that this would be fixed in "an upcoming update" which was a year old.) The only thing I haven't done (which I know would fix it) is to rename my database and download it from the server again. (I have no Local notebooks) I'm reluctant to do this due to the sheer size of the database and the time and bandwidth it would take. Plus this seems a rather nuclear option for an issue that, frankly, shouldn't have occurred in the first place if Evernote removed shared notebooks correctly. Have I missed anything that might work? Or is this yet another known bug that is being ignored while they mess around with the interface repeatedly? Thanks, Stephen
  20. Hello, I have a stacked hierarchy of tags on the left panel which I keep displayed during the week, but on weekends I hide most of them under another stack so I can focus on other things, then on Mondays I right click on each hidden stack and click "Move to Top Level" so that I can have my usual hierarchy for the work week. The problem is that "Move to Top Level" is dangerously close to "Unassign from All Notes". One wrong click and I lose the tags for thousands of notes without warning (even Note History would be no help in such a scenario) Since Unassign is a necessary function, I am asking for a confirmation step before taking action, preferably with a check box in Options for those who do not require this. Either that, or at least assign "Move to Top Level" to a different, safer location in the right click menu. It makes sense to me that anything involving the mass altering of thousands of notes should have a confirmation warning, when deleting or removing them at least.
  21. Hi all, we released our 8.18 update to the App Store last week. Thanks in advance for any feedback! Improved: Tired of waiting to load and search your offline notebooks? We hear you. That’ll all happen much quicker now. Dark Mode is seriously awesome, and it’s getting better every day. For example, your handwritten notes might have been a little hard to see, but not anymore. Fixed: You might have been asked to sign into your Apple ID whenever you launched Evernote. We’ll admit that was a bit of an overreaction. Sometimes there was a screen glitch when you reopened the app. So we just went ahead and fixed the glitch. Problem’s solved from your end. Occasionally, some of the formatting icons would just up and disappear while you were editing. Which was not helpful in the slightest. Are you someone who creates huge offline notebooks? Worried about them not downloading fast enough? Well it won’t be a problem now.
  22. A text box feature would go a long way in improving space efficiency of notes and would make notes look better formatted. Please see the attached image. The space on the top right corner is now unusable; a text box feature is badly needed in such scenarios to completely utilise the space beside an image. Please for the love of god provide it in an update in the near future. .
  23. I use Evernote almost exclusively for business and personal to-do lists. When I began using the checkbox lists, I always got a nice "tab" sized indent between the checkbox and my text. Now when I make checkbox lists, even within the older notes with spaced formatting, there is no space next to my checkbox. It's completely inconsistent across notes and drives me nuts. How can I correct this formatting error?
  24. I'd like to see a much easier method for cleaning up my old / neglected reminders at once. Perhaps a 'Select All' and 'Remove Reminders' option would do. My reminders function is virtually useless due to the thousands of un-cleared reminders that are clogging it up.
  25. When you open an existing note in Evernote Android, the edit button appears in bottom right corner. Is there a way to turn this feature on/off? I am aware that it will become easier to create mistakes with unwanted editing. Thanks, Chris
