  1. Just got notified that a new version of WebClipper for Safari is available. In the description it says that with this version 7.12.7 all functions that were available until the release of Safari 13 are now back again. Very nice ! Will try it out and be back with any issues.
  2. In the pane that displays the contents of a note, the "scroll to beginning" and "scroll to end" standard shortcuts don't work. Fn-LeftArrow and Fn-RightArrow on normal keyboards. They work in the preview pane. But not for the note itself. Would you fix this please? I've been an evernote user since the company was two people with a booth at MacWorld in SF.
  3. There's plenty of room in my sidebar for additional "recent notes". Recent notes are the most valuable shortcut for me. Can we configure the number of recent notes to keep in the sidebar, please? Currently it seems to be set to five, which leaves a lot of unused space in the sidebar. Thanks.   4. From everything I've read, it's supposed to be as simple as drag and drop. However, I can't do that in any version I've tried. It doesn't work in the sidebar, Tag View or in the Assign Tags popup. If I right-click a tag I want to assign in Tag View, I get a grayed-out option that says "Create Tag in TagName..." but it's not clickable. I haven't found any answers through google or in this forum, sorry if this has been asked before. Is there a setting I'm missing? I'm using windows 10.
  5. If I copy something from the web, it often comes in a size not available in the standard font sizes. I'd LIKE access to other font sizes than are shown. Is there a way to increase and decrease fonts sizes incrementally? For instance, I can bring text in at 16 pt, but I can't make text 16 pt on purpose... Thanks.
  6. Has anyone else had issues with web clipper for Evernote Business? I see the option to add my Evernote Business account when the clipper is open, I add it, I get taken to another page that says it's been added, but even when I restart my browser, I still only see my personal account for the clipper. I am using Safari. Any advice?
  7. Hello, everyone. I have been using EN for several years and just recently implemented EN Business for my staff team. I have a few questions. Are spaces best for individual projects or better for types of projects? For example I have two projects that my team works on every week. They are recurring, but each week they are brand new. Would it make more sense to have a space dedicated to each specific project OR have a space for the TYPE of project and just update that? I feel like id want a space for the individual project but when I think about how the notebooks work in spaces, I’m starting down the possibility of TONS of notebooks with the same names! Thoughts?

  9. I have an Evernote Business subscription and make extensive use of shared spaces. I just added 1 additional user to our business account. He verified his registration and shows up as a regular user in Manage Users in the admin console. However when I try to invite this user to a space, I get the message "You cannot invite someone outside your business to a space". A red triangle appears next to the email address of the user in the Inite People dialog and when I hover over it, it says "This person is outside your organization". I have been unable to contact Evernote support as every time I click on "Need a little help?" or try to log in to help.evernote.com, I am immediately logged out. I have tried different browsers and computers, I'm sure it's not something like a stale cookie. I tried contacting you via Twitter with no response. I cannot for the life of me find a phone number or email address to reach you on, so as a last resort I am trying this community forum. I urgently need this issue resolved as I have a meeting later today and need to provide this person with access to documents we have stored in Evernote (and there are dozens of them, I cannot easily send public links to all of them) Please help!   10. Hi, Hope you all are well. I have a MacPro Laptop running High Sierra 10.13.6 using Chrome. Everything has been going well with using the Evernote Clipping function to clip things from the web for my company. I was using the free version. After I updated to the paid premium (non business), web pages I clip and save aren't showing up (not on web version, nor on computer application). It's not worth the upgrade price if I can't use this feature since I share notes with a team (including 4 student interns) working with me on film & TV projects. A solution would be great! Thanks.   11. With a Premium subscription, I have access to Note History. Today I tried restoring previous versions of a note in the Windows desktop program. It's supposed to import it into the Imported Notes notebook. I tried more than one version of more than one note, and nothing ever imported (even after syncing). However, when I went to the Web beta and looked at Note History there, I was able to use the Restore function to recover an earlier version of a note into my default notebook. So it looks like the function is working in a slightly newer way in the Web beta (there's also an Export to .enex option there), but no longer working in the Windows program for me. Is anyone else with a Premium subscription having problems with it?

  13. Just got a wireless full-size keyboard to use in place of my laptop keyboard. I'm stumped by a basic keyboard combination. What is the key combination to select the entire line? Shift + Control + Right Key selects an entire word Shift + Control + Home Key selects everything above Shift + Control + End Key selects everything below

  15. I use Web Clipper to save articles to a curated content folder for my admin to schedule and post onto social media. I usually write a comment for the social posting in the Remark section. I would like the Remark box to be able to be expanded so I can proof-read my comment before sending it to Evernote.

Hi, I have just upgraded to Evernote business from a personal premium account and am coming across a few issues with the desktop app. I have deleted a few notebooks from my admin panel on the web app, yet the notebooks (with no notes) still show on the desktop app when they shouldn't, as I deleted them from the web app. I have synced all notes and notebooks. The phone and the web app show my folder structure correctly as intended. Yet on the two computers I use the business account, there are extra folders present that were deleted in the web app. These folders that remain are actually different on each of the two desktops, the same "old" folders are different on each device yet either way they should be deleted. I also uninstalled the desktop app and reinstalled them yet the same folders showed up again. I can't delete them on the desktop app as it/s a business account. I have tried moving them to a different stack (tried to make a "to delete" stack with these folders), and they won't move - assuming because they don't actually exist. How do I fix this so it shows what is in the web app, as I intended?
  17. So this is a long standing issue which does not seem to attract the attention of Evernote dev team so I'm trying to see how many others still have this issue too, and what may we do about it. Basically, I think any user of the desktop version (not the new beta) would agree that the web version (classic or new) is much more crippled in comparison. You cannot edit attachments (e.g., to annotate PDFs), merge notes, etc. There are two 'outstanding' bugs. The first is that the button "Copy Internal Link" does not do what Ctrl + Alt + L does, despite labelling the latter as a shortcut of the former. If you use the button in the Context Menu, it yields a "https://www.evernote.com/shard/" link, which does not open in browser, unless you paste that in another Evernote note (and then copy that again). As other users have pointed out, this is a great impediment to users' workflows which incorporate other apps, like OneNote, Todoist, etc. Internal links (a la evernote:///view/) can only be generated by clicking Ctrl + Alt + L. evernote:///view/ (Of course, one may argue that this is "by design", because "internal" doesn't mean "desktop" and can include an https link. Well...) Relatedly, the second issue is opening https links in the desktop app. Contrary to some forum users' claims that this is by design, this used to be a feature, until the development team took away the enAppInstalled cookie, perhaps with a view to forcing users to open links in the web-app instead of the desktop app. (The development team, in my collection and I would be happy to be corrected, has not explained why the cookie was removed.) I think supposedly, another Chrome/Chromium extension can be written which automatically parses and converts https:// links to evernote:// links (the two links use similar elements). But, of course, if there can be an official solution, this would not be necessary.
  18. I was trying to open the windows Beta version and it gives me a blank page. Checking for updates didn't work. I downloaded what I found to be the latest update on the forums but it wouldn't install because "it's already installed" so I uninstalled and tried again after restarting, still cannot install. I contacted support I was advised to "Enable Beta ..." in Tools > Options > General and then recheck for updates (in the regular evernote), no updates still. I have now uninstalled Beta and only have the regular Evernote.
  19. Dear experts, I need help please.. total noob here. I can't seems to get Copy Note Link shortcut to work anymore in Mac. I don't know what's wrong. On my Macbook Pro, i will hold down the "fn + control + option + command + C" keys and it works. On the Logitec K850 bluetooth keyboard. I tried pressing "ctrl + fn + alt opt + cmd + C" keys, "ctrl + alt opt + cmd + C" and it doesn't work. Is it a keyboard problem? or Evernote problem? Confused haha

Just submitted a support request, but I thought the assembled brains here might have some experience to share - I'm seeing a 'tidying up the notes in your account' banner in Evernote for Windows 6.24.2 ever since I used the extended help menu a few days ago. Quick background - I went through the 50K notes barrier a month or so ago (actually now 50,607 total) since when the app tends to freeze for 30 seconds or longer at random times... usually just after I start to use it for something. I've got the complete fix-list of recreating databases / fiddling with settings / increasing available memory / SSD's / firewalling the server etc (though it's disk activity that goes wild, not internet traffic), but I also have a few things I need to get done, so I wanted to try the optimise options in Help first. Scarily I can't remember whether I used Optimize Database or Recreate Full Text Search Index option, but ever since I have this blue banner on screen which starts at 0% and winds up to around 50% during the day. I shut down my laptop each night to make sure that everything is closed, because I never know whether I'll be working on this laptop the next day - I need some apps (including Evernote) to be synced and available to unlock from elsewhere if necessary. When I open up again, we're back at 0%. I don't know if that means we're starting again from scratch, or that this is a measure of the notes left to process - which means that in a few days the banner should get to 100% quite quickly and disappear. If need be I can leave the laptop running and close everything else down. So if anyone has any clues as to how this works I'd be grateful for pointers... Thanks in advance for any help! 🙂 (If it's relevant the OS is Windows 10 1709 - this laptop is steam-powered!)
  21. ☀️ Good afternoon! I use Evernote to collect and organize research from books that resemble epic tomes. It is difficult to stop and type out all of my notes, so I prefer using speech recognition software. I was previously using Evernote on iOS only, and used speech recognition that comes native with iPhone keyboards. However iOS speech recognition is inferior to the Windows 10 native speech recognition feature. However, when I attempted to use that on the Windows 10 app version, I can get out exactly one sentence before the speech recognition bar informs me that "Dictation is not fully supported in this app." Typing takes 3x longer than using speech recognition features (no hyperbole there). Without smooth usage of this native feature, it feels like the app is broken for purposes of use like mine. Right now, I have to take notes in Google Docs and copy/paste it into Evernote. I feel like this is sort of a shame for a subscription based premium service, and I'd love to work exclusively in Evernote to avoid even needing to juggle any of it. If there is a trick to getting this to work properly with Evernote that I'm not aware of, I'd appreciate counsel. It works as intended in every other software, apps and browsers that I have tested it in. This leads me to believe this isn't a settings problem, but I'm aware that there are sometimes specific needs and work-arounds with applications still in development. I would be grateful for serious consideration of full support for Windows 10 speech recognition features. Thank you for your time! Nicole
  22. Full disclosure: I am not tech savvy. I use a Mac because I have certain things I want to achieve with technology, and I want the technology to work with no troubleshooting on my part. With that said, I always loved the promise of Evernote, but with the former version I could never get it to work as I wanted. Synching was my biggest issue. I would have to wait days for my desktop and web versions to synch, and sometimes they wouldn't synch at all. Often times when I would try and clip a long article from the internet there would be such a lag that I would give up and just save the article to my Dropbox. It was so frustrating because I wanted very much to have all of my internet research in one place. Since using the new version, I have had NO synching issues. I had always thought that it was an internet connectivity issue, but I don't think that is the case anymore. Every article (no matter the size or format) has synched immediately and in the correct folder. No lag time. Another issue I used to struggle with was moving articles from one folder to another and organizing my notebooks. I don't know what the issue was with the old version, but there was always a lag time. I haven't experienced that even once. My folders are perfectly organized now, and I can easily drop things I find from the internet into the correct folder so I can annotate later. I LOVE THIS!
  23. Hi, I have a hierarchical tag structure. But when I click on the primary/top level tag, I can't see the notes containing the sub tags, only notes with primary tags are show. I remember this feature used to be there. Couldn't find a way to do it through preferences also. Please suggest a way.
  24. Is there a way to search for all tags containing a word? For example, this picture above shows two tags containing the word inventory but when I start typing "inv", I get the following reuslts Any and all suggestions appreciated. Currently loving Evernote!
  25. I noticed that every time I edit a Note, it keeps another instance of that note with the most recent edit I made. It's as if seeing a bunch of versions of edit I made from the first time I created the note to the last edit I made.
