  1. Hey Evernote Team, We started to use Evernote Business to share resources across teams. We created notes which have several images attached. When we copy the note to another notebook(Private to Business, same account) we loose all content! The notes don't have any content (only show a cover image) On the webapp the content doesn't show either (in the note's details it shows 7MB) but the content area is empty and stays empty after minutes. How can we make it work? This is the core reason we choose to use Evernote Business. Many thanks for your help!

  4. There are three main differences between an Evernote Free and Business account... related notes, data caps, and permission management. I'm in charge of a company of about 20, dispersed. We like the concept, but someone tell me why I wouldn't want to have, say 3 admins on Business, and 17 other Free accounts? I'm not seeing the issue... thoughts?

  7. Hi All, I thought I would give you a run down on my upgrade to business from premier if you are thinking of doing it. I won't go into pricing which is on another topic and I am awaiting a response from the business team. My big concern is that the transfer of folders and files was quite a laborious task. Unfortunately in doing so I discovered that some notes had been duplicated and put in the wrong place. For the most part this is not a problem as we are only going to be 2 users for the next year. But what I would describe as sensitive information could easily have been read by others had I chosen to add them. This is a cause for concern and I cannot begin to understand how it happened. I only have about 2,300 notes and it has taken me most of the weekend (amongst other tasks) to go through and make sure everything is where it should be. So if you long serving members of Evernote with many thousands of notes decide to upgrade then I suggest very strongly that you put aside a weekend to get it right and make sure the notes are in the correct location before starting to 'share' with colleagues. Overall I am pleased with the upgrade. For me the useful feature is having all my quotations and other documents available for other users. I know this could easily be done in premium, but in the business version it makes a lot more sense in the way it is layed out and operates. The extra cost seems to be worthwhile so far, if I am only charged for two users! I have checked it on all platforms apart from an iPhone and had to upgrade the iMac to the latest version, something I was avoiding. I would suggest if you need 'business' to run on a Mac it is worth upgrading beforehand and get yourself used to the 'new way of working'. The sharp learning curve did not help the business installation process. But as I say, over the weekend meant I could spend time in getting everything operational. Windows needed to be upgraded to the current beta version 4.6.1.7705 to allow me to add 'import folders' for the documents I wanted in the 'business library'. I have been bitten by beta version in my past, but am pleased to say this one appears to work well so far. If I think of anything else I will let you know. Anyone in the UK, Wiltshire, Devizes area who wants to pop over and have a look, drop me a message. Best regards Chris
  8. Hi All, I am experimenting as mentioned elsewhere with moving my 'Notes' with Word documents between 'Notebooks' within the 'Business' account. This had to be done on the iMac on my second user account to make it work, but that is another story! Syncing my account in the office this morning on the Windows Laptop and I can see the 'Notes' coming in, but as they do so, it is taking up my 'Allowance'. Surely that is wrong isn't it? Not a problem at the moment as I am unlikely to use all of my allowance, but doesn't seem right to me. Probably a simple answer, so not a complaint, just an observation and wonder what other users think before I consider it for a support ticket. Best regards Chris
  9. I know how to delete from a notebook, but then it goes to the trash can. I cannot find where to delete it from there. I am the admin.

I'm loathe to start a thread entitled "sync problems" when I know that is 95% of what EN has been working on the last month regarding EN for Business, but I thought I would check to see what issues other people are having currently. I am using Evernote for Windows 4.6.1.7772 RC on a Windows 7 PC. I moved a bunch of notes from personal folders into business folders, and then discovered that they werent syncing. Reading the forums, I saw that "copying" is currently preferred over actually moving notes, so I did that and it worked. But now it seems like a bunch of notes that I've created new or otherwise copied still aren't syncing. WTF? Before someone asks, I'll tell you all that I am not dealing with more than 600 or so notes TOTAL over bother personal and business. I have about 440 notes in personal (which are all working fine) and about 160 in the business side, which is where the problems are. Thoughts anyone?
  11. There seems to be a large number of simple features that are not cross platform capable. For instance, to create a stack on my MacBook Pro, I have to go to the web Evernote site and create the stack there and then sync my Mac. Another example, I can't rename a stack on my MacBook. So I head to the website to rename the stack and re-sync the ole MacBook Pro. I realize the functionality is pretty basic headaches, but it seems that the basic functionality should be consitent across different platforms (non mobile OS at least). Currently when I have the MacBook Pro En open, I also log into the site in case I need to do some workarounds on organization of notes, notebooks and stacks.
  12. Trying to create a new Business Notebook. Whenever I create an new Notebook, it goes into the Personal Notebooks. How do I specify it to go into the Business Notebooks?? Using the Windows app.

  14. Hi All, For the record: Windows 7 Evernote 4.6.1.77772 PR Some, if not most of you reading this will be aware of my problems regarding moving over to the Business account. The temporary solution to those problems has been for me to set up a new user in my business and start using that person instead. So far so good! I did find that I could not then add an 'Import Folder' to an existing Notebook which belongs to my original user (me) as it started to add all the currently linked documents. Makes sense when you think about it! So I 'un-joined' the two important folders and created two new ones. Word 2011 and Word 2012. I also found that I could not join two Notebooks together as it just never synced to the Web. The whole system has been up and running since yesterday evening and all night, with a sync set up for every 30 minutes. Problem is that every sync is now taking over 1 hour. It is the two new notebooks for my documents in 2011 and 2012 that are causing the problem. As mentioned on another thread, I can see each note counting one at a time on the Activity Log. There are just over 1,100 notes in those notebooks and I have another 400 to add once I can catch the system not syncing! Why would it do this every time? I understand that it has to do it once for the original upload but not every time. Both Notebooks are on the web. Any ideas before I raise another ticket? Regards Chris
  15. Although I can assign and create business tags using the iPad & iPhone app. I can't search by business tag on these devices. Intact business tags are simply not visible. This should have worked from launch without issue and renders the service useless to me. Will my subscription be refunded until this is sorted out????
  16. Hi All, Oh dear! Just moved four notes into my 'Diary - 2012 Completed' folder and three of them disappeared! They have two attachments in each. An auto route and an Excel spreadsheet. Checked in the computer 'attachment' folder and the attachments have disappeared along with the notes! This is now very serious! If I had done this with a diary note and it had disappeared there is not way of me remembering the information! Will try and do a few experiments. Anyone any idea or I will raise a ticket?   17. Hi All, I don't seem to be able to move a note on the ipad from one Business folder to another. Clicking on the 'i' button brings up the list of information and shows what folder the note is currently in, but with no arrow to select another folder. Downloaded 5.1.2 this morning. Works fine on Windows. Any ideas or is this a bug? Regards Chris
  18. We have purchased the business version of Evernote and not happy with it at all. In my opinion it is still a very beta product with good potential. Here are some of the bugs we have : Business tags do not synchronise with Windows machines It is not easily possible to transfer all your premium notes to your business notebook Multiple sync issues where it is not possible to sync except delete all local data and resync with the online version Not possible to empty trash can for business users. Not possible to import folders like in the premium version support are not up to date with the business version and offer support based on premium Hopefully evernote solve these soon. Otherwise the product is useless .. mainly due to the sync issues.
  19. Looking for feedback on the potential of adding annotation capability to the iOS version of Evernote. Currently on the android version, I can open Evernote, start a note, snap a picture, open the picture, annotate the picture, save the picture and continue with my note...all within Evernote. All of this is possible on my iPad, except the picture annotation feature. This would be a tremendous help to my company. Any feedback would be great! Thanks, Chris
  20. Hi All, Before I raise a ticket has anyone any idea why I am experiencing this problem? I have Business installed on two Windows 7 computers. As mentioned elsewhere I now have quotations in Word loaded into a specific folder. On the 2nd computer as an order came in to match a quotation, the 'note' with the quotation in was annotated with today's date and our reference number. Then the 'note' was moved to the '2012 Order' folder. The 2nd computer has since been trying to synch. It receives changes made on the 1st computer but does not seem to be sending the change to the 'note' with the quotation. The following message comes up in a window at the bottom of the screen every time: Synchronisation Complete Sync failed due to unexpected behaviour at client side. Any thoughts? Best regards Chris
  21. Something is not quite right here! I want the Business version for two people but I am being billed for 5? Are you saying that I can only have a 5 user licence and yet conversations about people using the business functions and working alone seem to indicate they will only be billed for 1 user! Would like to get this sorted as soon as possible as it is not worth me having a 5 user licence at this stage. Best regards Chris
  22. Hi All, Sorry to be hogging the business section. I am not sure if this is only with the business version, but it is the only one I have used this facility on. So I have created an import folder for my Word quotations. What I discovered today is that after creating the quote then saving it, making a change and saving again, it creates another note with a new document in every time you click on save! Couldn't understand why I had three notes with the same document in!! I don't think this is a problem, but it means you need to complete the document before saving if you only want one copy in Evernote. I did open up a Word document directly from Evernote and made changes which saved and managed to get shared with my other user. Unfortunately these changes don't seem to be saved to the document folder on my computer. It would definitely be a good idea to do this, but I don't understand the software implications. In the meantime, if I am to continue using this system I need to make a decision and change in how I work. Once the document is created then the master if used or changed has to be within Evernote.   23. Hi All, I have as you know set up two users on the Business version of Evernote. Today in the office I tried to 'synch' the other user and it seems to take forever. Even with only a little change on my evernote I gave up at 25 minutes with a small window showing 'Updating Client Database'. It seemed to stick at 44% for about 10 minutes then was slowly and erratically going up. Both computers running Windows 7. Any ideas before I raise a ticket? Best regards Chrsi
  24. Hi All, I am slowly coming round to how the 'business' edition can work in our small company. We have a large amount of data in two folders. One is made up of about 3GB of pdf datasheets which is forever changing, the other is about 1GB of word documents that are letters and quotations etc. Forgive me if this question is obvious, but how do I link these to a 'business' account. Is it just a case of moving the folder into a specific location on my computer, which I would rather not do. Or can I put a link to the respective folders and other users can then use or edit them and they will get updated in the cloud and on my computer? Thanks for your help. Best regards Chris
