  1. Hi, Recently, to solve my own problem: to directly save any article I read in my iPhone to Evernote, I created a service named Pineco.me, and opened it online. With this service, you don’t need to install any app, the only thing you will do is just to share the links of web articles you read from any app through email to Pineco.ME service. Then Pineco.ME will automatically extract the readable contents of the articles, and saved them to notebook you assigned. It works similar to Evernote’s “Email to notebook” feature, but what you will get is similar to how you use Web Clipper or Clearly. It makes blog posts, articles, web pages clean and easy to read. And the best thing is you can use it in both desktop and smart phone. It is really easy to use and free. The service is available and free on http://pineco.me , you can try it and give me some feedbacks, I am happy to listen to any feedback and continuously improve it.
  2. I'm sure this will probably already have been suggested, but I'll post this anyway. For a while now I've been using the feature that allows you to send email direct into Evernote. in fact I've built up an entire stack of these emails. But a thought occurred to me, wouldn't it be great Evernote had a built in email client. This would allow you to send/receive emails directly from within Evernote and would eliminate the need to email specific messages into Evernote. You could simply just hit, add to stack. Just thought I'd put it out there. Gary
  3. Hello, I know that one is supposed to be able to send the content of a note by email, such that the recipient can read the note without an evernote account. Is this also possible for a whole notebook? And if so, - how? I only have evernote on my android mobile, since my pc is running on ubuntu for which there is no evernote version. So I hope for an answer considering this constrain. Oh, btw how can I delete a whole notebook?
  4. A friend of mine just started to use Evernote on her ipad. She emailed me one of her notes. It came into my email as an attachment that was a Word doc. This is a very happy thing and I want to recreate this strategy, but cannot figure out what her settings are that permit this and what I need to do so that my notes send as Word doc email attachments. I am a premium user. When I email a note, the contents of the note are the body of the email. Thanks.
  5. Hey! When I try to clip my gmail in chrome, all I get is the header info no content at all. Am I missing something. The latest newsletter says that it clips everything in the email. Not sure what I'm ding wrong!
  6. Hi, Since the update to the Chrome plugin, I can't figure out a way to capture the body of emails in gmail. If the email is open, or if the email is open and I have manually selected the text, the plugin only captures the subject and some info about sender and receiver, but not the actual content of the email. There is no option to save the selection. If I use the rt click on the mouse instead of the plugin icon, there is still no option to make a selection and save it. Does anyone know how to capture the actual content now? Thanks!
  7. In the previous version of Web Clipper, when I saved an email it came with a URL that, when clicked, opened that email in Gmail. Now it just opens Gmail, and I have to find the email myself. That's a huge inconvenience.
  8. I´m trying to email myself most of my business email to my EN Business account in order to archive and process it there. I used the email forwarding to my EN account without problems, but with Business I cannot seem to find the email to send them to. If I send them to my regular EN account, they get into my "Inbox" in my personal account. Since this are Business related notes, I want them to get to my "Business Inbox". I cannot seem to have the ability to make a "default notebook" in my Business Notebooks, nor do I seem to have a different email to send things there. Even worse, when I send them using the "@" for automatically moving to that Notebook, It doesn´t recognize the notebook if it´s in the Business side of Evernote and it get again clumped in my Personal Inbox. This way I have to manually sort every note and move them to my Business Inbox. This doesn´t make any sense. Please let me know how can i solve this, because as far as I´ve tested it, paying for Evernote Premium and using it for work is much better than paying for Business Account. Thanks! R
  9. We are trying to use EN to log all project correspondence hence we try to publish all emails from EN. However we have two major niggles which cost us a lot of time: 1. After sending an email EN moves to the back and Outlook or Chrome appears. it doesn't sound much but if this happens with every email sent it becomes a real pain in the ass. 2. There is no library for email addresses. This is the biggest time waster and EN should really consider this especially for Business users. Would love to hear from other EN users. Paul
  10. Hi, I found a couple of issues when emailing notes into evernote. 1. If I want to put in a tag in the subject, the tag will only get recognized if there is already a note with that tag in the notebook I am sending the note to. So, one can't create a new tag with an email. 2. If I put a link to another Evernote note in the email that I send into Evernote, the link functionality will be lost. The text will still appear with the same formatting (i.e. green), but you can't click on it. Any thoughts?
  11. There are a lot of discussions in this forum (and at several other places), how to send archive emails from Apple Mail application into Evernote. In common, the following options are available: Forward Email to your Evernote Email AccountPrint your Email as PDF and transfer it to your local Evernote application (via Evernote PDF Printer Plugin)There exists a lot of scripts in the internet which help automation of these tasks. With this thread, I will show you a third option: Transfer email to your local Evernote application, using the Evernote APIGo to codesnippets.fraenklenet.de and look for the "Mac OS X: Email2Evernote - Applescript" note. Enjoy! Your feedback is highly appreciated! Volker (codesnippets@fraenklenet.de)
  12. I have found an absolutely wonderful use of Evernote in conjunction with my e-mail. Granted, it may only apply to people who use (or used) e-mail the way I did.... I found that I was using e-mail for three different things: Sending and receiving messages (duh) Keeping a to-do list -- that's what my inbox did An information-storage system -- I saved messages that contained some information I wanted to keep for future reference (e.g., an account number, an address, etc.) I found that #1 and #2 worked just fine for me; I'm good about keeping my inbox down to size. But I was also using my e-mail apps to store lots and lots of notes containing some small bit of info I might need sometime -- account or login info, people's contact data, various tidbits of information, even jokes. Even with a decent folder structure, though, e-mail apps really aren't made for storing information you need to get at. That's not what e-mail does. I could save each of those messages as a separate file ("Dad's_Dropbox_login.txt"), but that would get really messy. Enter Evernote, which I had been using on and off since it first debuted -- the days when it saved things as just a single long stream of text. I went through my entire folder structure -- everything from contacts to account info and receipts to... well, whatever. Unless I needed to save the message itself (in a CYA sorta way), I moved them into Evernote. Soon enough my Evernote folder structure approximated my (now defunct) e-mail folder structure. Now my e-mail has a handful of small folders, and Evernote is loaded with all the stuff I might need. Even better, it's so much easier to add stuff -- Web clipping or uploading or whatever. No more e-mailing things to myself. And -- just in case Evernote isn't the 100-year company it wants to be -- I can archive all my notes as well. My wife has a monster e-mail account, with literally thousands of messages she's saving for various reasons. So I get a kick whenever she sees my handful of folders with a few dozen messages. (Of course, my Evernote folders are bulging, but that's what it's for.) Anyway, I wanted to share how I found EN to be a nice way to clear out my e-mail, make all those little snippets easy to find (and update), and give me something to show off to others: "Wow, you have a lot of messages in your inbox there. You ever think of maybe getting a note-taking app?"
