  1. I have a personal Evernote account that I pay for, which uses my personal email address. I also use Evernote for work notes, and I would like to be able to share some notes with coworkers without giving them my personal email address, as well as receive notifications that they have edited the shared note on my work email instead of my personal email. Is there a way to have two email addresses on the same account, and choose from which address I wish to share when I start to share a note or notebook? Evernote Business is not in the cards right now, so any workflow that involves Business is irrelevant.

  3. Hello, when I create articles with Evernote and then email them to someone else within my company at the bottom of all emails they have a footer that says. Evernote helps you remember everything and get organized effortlessly. Download Evernote. I would like to remove this footer from my business communications and being that I am a Premium account purchaser I would think this is possible? I looked in the options and it seems their is no way for me to remove this? I can understand Evernote might want to promote their product however this is wrong and I sent a few email like this and my employer asked me this morning not to included these links in my emails however I had no idea it was even happening as I didn't choose the "CC" option so when I did CC myself and see this I was rather disappointed that Evernote was sneaking in this footer without my permission. Please give me the option of removed this footer if I don't want it, I recommend your product all the time and have come back after leaving for awhile and will keep recommending it but this sort of advertising being added to all my outgoing emails or articles comes across as spam plain and simple, please provide the option for Premium users who pay for your product to remove this as my employer has already complained. Thank you
  4. When placing an image into an email in Mac Outlook, the recipients receive a washed out version. I've noticed this a few times but haven't done enough to completely pinpoint the exact scenario - I think it's gif format though may happen with png too. Typically I drag the file icon from the image view window to the email window to place and attach it.
  5. This is in General Discussions because it affects both EN Web (new version) and EN Windows 5.9.3 - plus email, Work Chat, Basic and Premium. Long story short, I needed a new Basic account because I planned a public share for some specific information, and wanted it 'branded' in a particular way. Set that up via Evernote.com, but obviously didn't download any software because I already have my main Premium account and a couple of others installed on the one machine. I know I can switch between accounts pretty easily, but I need to create some notes in premium and copy to the other account, so it would be easier (I thought) to share at least one notebook from basic to premium. I duly set up share for one notebook and sent the invite to the email address connected to the premium account. I've done this before (though not recently) and it worked fine. So I switched back to the main account and waited for the email or a Share notification. Nothing. I waited some more. Nada. Checked spam folders, other email addresses and the premium account. Nil and Zero. Hmmn. Maybe I screwed up. Back to the web account, unshare the notebook (yes, the email address was correct) and try again. Waiting... and now it's lunch time. Went away for an hour. Came back. See various checks above - nothing, nada, nil and zero. Perhaps 'share' isn't working from the web (new version) account. Can't be bothered to switch back and try again, so I switched from premium to basic on the computer*. Unshared and shared again from there. Still nothing after another hour of checking. (* Since I'm on both ends of this share I can set up the new account without any problems.) OK I didn't need the invite anyway since I'm controlling both sides of this - but it would be nice to know what happened. There's nothing in my Activity log on the premium account about the share or any chat invites. However: View > Work Chat shows all of the Share messages of which I had no notifications at all. I know email invites don't get issued for the 2nd share, but first time around I didn't get any emails from this brand new account, and in no case did I get any alerts from the application. So. I'm set up and working now, but Work Chat as it applies to sharing notebooks seems to be a bit broken. If you're sharing with someone it would be a good idea to ask them (by separate email) to check the Work Chat window if they don't receive any notification - they'll likely find the invite there. Feature request: More bells and whistles (literally!) when a share invitation is received. And please fix this!
  6. Got an email this morning telling me that as of 6th July emailing to evernote is to end for free users - according to the FAQ: Why is saving email into Evernote now a paid feature? Based on customer surveys and market research, we created two tiers of Evernote for our more active users. Being able to automatically turn emails into notes fit best with the needs of Plus and Premium customers. (https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/?spMailingID=11867726&spUserID=MzMwMzA1MzAyMjkS1&spJobID=580929315&spReportId=NTgwOTI5MzE1S0#!/article/94691268) According to my market research and survey (me) this a rather more like evernote trying to squeeze more dollars out of long standing users. Thanks evernote. Shame you just couldn't be more honest about this change. Hello Microsoft Onenote
  7. How is it possible to have an autocomplete of the email adresses of my adress book or at least of the email adresses already used in evernote. For the work chat this is working in evernote but not for the "copy via Email" sharing option. It takes a long time to always look up the correct email adress in outlook and copy it to evernote. I would appreciate help with that topic! BR, Jens 3. 8. I am an early user of Evernote returning to use it again. I am able to create notes by sending to my evernote email address, but unfortunately creating tags in the subject with #tag does not work. After my first attempt at creating a note via email, Evernote sent me an email with some tips, including an example. It seems that @[notebook] and ![date] work, but not #[tag] ... Try it for yourself (let me know if it does not work for you either or if I am doing something wrong). You successfully sent an email to Evernote! Make emailing into Evernote even more useful for you by sending emails straight to a notebook, automatically setting reminders, and more. Here's how it works: Edit the email subject to change your note title Add @[notebook] to send it to a specific notebook Add ![date] to set a reminder on the note Add #[tag] to organize the note with a tag For example, to forward boarding passes to your account, put it in your 'Travel' notebook, add an 'Itinerary' tag, and set a reminder to check into your flight, you would add this to the subject: Email Subject: Boarding Passes !2014/06/05 @Travel #Itinerary Try it with your own flight confirmation, a receipt, or anything else that you want to set aside from your endless inbox! – The Evernote Team
  9. As of a couple of weeks ago, sending an email to my Evernote address does nothing. I've tried sending it from my scanner, from my work email, and from my home email. I have also reset my Evernote email address, thinking maybe that was part of the problem. None of that has worked. Any emails sent to my Evernote address don't get bounced, they just never show up in the web, ios or windows version of Evernote. Any other suggestions as to how to get this working again?
  10. OK - confused again; the emails I get from following these forums are increasingly showing subject lines like "<name> 發表了主題 feature request...." and according to my trusty Google translate, these characters mean "Keynote". Has there been a forum change? Are we seeing more forum queries from Asia? Is Google wrong? We should know these things!
  11. Hi, I'm trying to find my evernote email so I can forward emails into evernote but the only one showing is the Gmail address I am registered with for the account. Currently I'm looking under Account Info and in Settings. Using a Mac. Thanks
  12. We just began to automate emailing into evernote. Before we would save them via the outlook addin. The addin included the header. Emailing into evernote does not. Anyone know a way to include the header when emailing a note into evernote? Or maybe just including today's date in the subject line? Rick
  13. Here's my workflow situation: - I have scanned a document using Scannable on my iPhone - it shows up in Scannable Notebook on EN (Mac) as a PDF - now I want to email that PDF to my accountant (a non-EN user) Is there a quick way, without having to re-save the PDF to my desktop or similar? Many thanks! sb Mac OS 10.9.5 EN MAC 6.0.16
  14. This has been asked a few times. To show I'm not unaware, I've found a fw posts about importing Outlook notes to EN. At risk of boring the reader, here is the one I've found that looks easiest . . . 1. Set up a folder in Evernote for your Outlook Notes (optional, but I wanted all my Outlook Notes to NOT be imported into the same folder as other Evernote Notes): If you want your Outlook Notes in a particular Evernote folder, in Evernote create the folder that you want the Outlook Notes to go to by clicking "File" on the Menu bar > "New Notebook" (or just hit ctrl+shift+n). A pop-up window opens where you name your Notebook (I selected the "synchronized notebook" radio button to ensure I have access to these notes on other computers and/or devices). 2. In Outlook, go to your Notes, select one of the Notes (don't double-click on it to open it, just have it highlighted), then on the menu bar click edit > select all. All of your Outlook Notes should be highlighted. Right-click on the highlighted Notes and select "ADD TO EVERNOTE". [emphasis mine] An Evernote pop-up window comes up where you can specify any particular tags you want on the notes, and select the Notebook from the dropdown list you want the Notes to be imported into. Click on "Add Notes". Everything works until I get to "ADD TO EVERNOTE." I have no such option. How do I get the "Add to Evernote" option? Is thre an easier way to import? The instructions above come from a 2013 post and EN may have provided an easier way. Next question: Can I sync the notes? Next question: Can I import an Outlook database?
  15. Is there a way to make a default address book for sending copies of evernote documents by email. Right now I have to manually enter the email address.
  16. I have a user that started using Evernote. She wanted to share a note form her ipad and used the Share>email feature. The email went to the recipient's junk folder because it came from an unknown evernote email address. Is there a way to have Evernote send things from the mail app, using their regular email account and NOT form some evernote address?
  17. Seems all of a sudden my AppleMail app lists most of my "To" emails as going to Evernote Upload Evernote. This is where I would normally expect to see my name in the "To" column for emails sent to me. Emails sent to others that I have been copied on or included in the list of receivers are not shown but any email sent direct to me shows up in the column view as to: Evernote Upload Evernote. How do I get back to seeing only my name listed there. I don't know what caused Evernote to move in on this program.
  18. can i do anything on win7 desktop with a note, like attach that note to an outgoing email? i need to send screenshots and audio clips to manufacturer for troubleshooting. How can i attach these as files to an email using gmail or fastmail?
  19. How can I tell if I have Evernote for Mac? Currently I cannot bulk forward email from Apple Mail. Any suggestions?
  20. Intrying to solve this problem, I found some info on the Evernote site's help files and it says to choose share and then choose email. That is what I used to do but this option is gone from that menu now in Evernote! Now your only option is to go to WORK CHAT and try to send it from there. Once you enter the person's email address in WORK CHAT, you cannot tell if the email was sent. The sent email doesn't show in your sent email anywhere. When you choose this option and enter the persona's email "nothing happens", there is no send button and you have no reason to think the email has been sent out. I also can't drag and drop- the dragged recorded note will not drop into my email. I also can't copy paste it to my desktop for example. I have a hard time typing and used to use evernote to send "voicemails" by email. That's all I use evernote for. I've wasted half the day trying to find the answer. Does anyone know how to download an old version of evernote, or does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks

  22. I love evernote, and have been using it for the past 6 months as my primary place for organizing and taking notes at work. I also converted a number of colleagues to use evernote. The recent change in evernote that prevents me from sharing my notes via email has created a dead stop in my ability to collaborate with the tool. Now, either everyone I work with needs to use evernote, or it's not useful. So frustrating. Please bring back the email note function!!!! In the meantime, I am moving over to breeze+google drive as my new collaboration tool set....
  23. I really want to use the feature in EN to push emails from my email to EN. I use gmail, with a custom domain. There only seems to be a forward. I can set up a redirect address and approve it, attach it to a filtter, but criteria must be met to fire the filter. If the email is in my inbox, it is too late. Unless there is a way to grab an already existing email and find a "redirect" button somewhere, as it is the only way i can alter the subject to add in notebooks and tags. Redirecting also doesn't change the headers and put the forward tokens in the body of the email, keeping it nice and clean. I moved to exclusive web based email a while ago and am finally happy with it. I really don't want to go back to desktop email and have all that email on my computer and have it sync every time I open the app. Plus, push suppose on Mac is not so great with gmail, at least for me. Redirect, a plug in, anything, suggestions? Could this even be done in a Safari plugin?
  24. Suggestion: Decrease the file size of handwritten note images so Evernote can become the one application that allows you to compose and send handwritten emails! ;-) Personally, I'd write by hand every message I intend to send by email if the file size of the resulting images weren't so large. I'd simply write all of my messages by hand using Evernote, then "Share" them by "Email". Evernote can bring handwriting back from the dead! Simply compress the file size of the handwriting-image as it's being sent so users won't have to worry about the person they're emailing becoming upset about being forced to receive their enormously sized emails that take up a huge chunk of their inbox's storage space. Whatcha think? Thoughts?
  25. I've just installed evernote on my dads iPad (new, OSx 6). Sending note from evernote dad by mail to my own email: works Sending email to evernote from my own email or email dad: works Sending note from my own evernote account to dads email: works The only thing that isn't working, and which is in fact the most important thing that should be working at this moment: sending note from evernote dad to email dad / coworkers (with similar email extension). Anyone have any clues for a solution? Dads email works on outlook server, but is also imported in Mac OSx Mail. Hope you can help us!
