  1. Hi, I apologise in advance as I've done something completely idiotic. I have never used an online notes service - am not remotely knowledgeable about these things. I've set up an Evernote account, installed the apps and, wanting to keep this account and some other emails separate for business purposes had entered my 'email' address as the same as my 'email notes to' address. This has put me into a cycle where i.d. reset or support request sends the email to my evernote email address which I cannot see anywhere within the app. I can't revert to my gmail address as it shows up as being 'in use'. I can't 'click through' to access online support and don't seem to be able to find a phone number for Australian users. Is my understanding somehow deeply flawed here? Can someone let me know if it is possible to log in to my evernote use.r@m.evernote.com email address and check it in the same way I do my gmail account?
  2. I frequently bcc my EN account on emails that I send out. I know how to do it, and I know that if I put @[notebook name] in the subject line the email will go into the specified EN notebook. Is there a way to do that without the recipient also getting that annotation? Subject lines in emails that have random and apparently arbitrary content confuses the recipient. Let's say the subject is Sunday's company picnic, but I want to bcc into my EN notebook called "torture" the subject line would read Subject: Sunday's company picnic @torture. Yes, I know that part of the political problem can be avoided by using less inflammatory notebook names, but this is for illustration only. Thanks.
  3. I must repeat, why is Evernote support so terrible? It would seem they are literally running AWAY from customers and their suggestions. It use to be VERY easy to send them a quick email. Now their site makes it very hard to find how to send them an email. Second thing. I've been asking since 2003 for them to add a better audio recording experience on Android. Since recent OS updates, this is more than possible and other apps have proved that. The current implementation is terrible and a few steps behind it's iOS sister. We can't: Multitask while recordingRecord in better quality, only AMR (A codec released in 1999)Play back recordings on iOS device (since it's in AMR) I believe in Evernote. But I feel this company is greedy and their support for products and listening to users is underwhelming. Frankly, they don't even reply on their forums or consider our ideas. They reply with stock answers if you ever get through the maze to find their email. I know a company needs to make a profit, but at least have a student pricing and be open to your users. Evernote. My trust in you is slowly dying. Then again, why am I calling you out when you don't even come here.
  4. Hi There are a few tools around already to help send email messages into Evernote. The basic idea is simple; if you are using Evernote as your GTD or task tracking system, you want an easy way to throw emails into Evernote and get rid of them from your Inbox. Many of these tools require a third party application in order to set the shortcut key. I've written an Automator action for Mac that runs as a "service", which in normal peoples terms means you can easily set a shortcut cut for this in System Preferences. Here's a link to my documentation about it: http://goo.gl/WIXG3x This Automator action is very specific (but can be easily changed if you know Applescript), it will: Use the currently selected emails in Mail.app to... Create evernote notes for each selected email and then... Move each selected email to the "Archive" folder of the appropriate Mail.app account, finally setting it's background to blue (so you know it was moved into Evernote)It's simple, but super effective - and one cool idea is that the Evernote note retain a link back to the original email message. You can download the Automator action, and install this by following the instructions here. Happy Evernote'ing! -- John Clayton
  5. Greedy cash grab by highly profitable company, combined with specious, disingenuous excuse that it's really what's best for our customers = create notebooks in GoodReader, transfer notes into Good Reader and delete Evernote. I'll bet I'm not the only one for whom this is the final straw. Goodbye GoodReader is a much better app. Does much more and NO IAPs or sneaky lets keep deleting features to get people to pay to have notebooks. Check it out, you won't be sorry. Don't get me wrong, Evernote, the product is great. Evernote the company, not so much.
  6. I have set in my preferences a notebook as my default. When I email to my evernote email, it seems like it decides randomly where to put it. I want all emails to go to that one notebook. Is this a bug or a feature?
  7. I currently have a dedicated email account for all my receipts, 'receipts@xxxxxx.com'. I've set this account up to forward to my Evernote account and I've set up a notebook called "Receipts". When I forward, I add @Receipts to the subject line. My understanding is that this should have Evernote place the note created from the email in my Receipts notebook, however it's going into my default ('Inbox') notebook instead. Am I doing something wrong?
  8. It would be great if there were an easy way to send any note as a PDF file by email. In one click from a share menu, it would be possible to automatically convert a note to PDF, open the default mail client and add that PDF that was just created to a brand-new email message.
  9. How can I prevent my notes changing format when I email them? Once emailed they have multiple fonts and this looks unprofessional. thanks Leanne

  11. When placing an image into an email in Mac Outlook, the recipients receive a washed out version. I've noticed this a few times but haven't done enough to completely pinpoint the exact scenario - I think it's gif format though may happen with png too. Typically I drag the file icon from the image view window to the email window to place and attach it.
  12. How is it possible to have an autocomplete of the email adresses of my adress book or at least of the email adresses already used in evernote. For the work chat this is working in evernote but not for the "copy via Email" sharing option. It takes a long time to always look up the correct email adress in outlook and copy it to evernote. I would appreciate help with that topic! BR, Jens 3. 13. Hi, I'm trying to find my evernote email so I can forward emails into evernote but the only one showing is the Gmail address I am registered with for the account. Currently I'm looking under Account Info and in Settings. Using a Mac. Thanks
  14. Here's my workflow situation: - I have scanned a document using Scannable on my iPhone - it shows up in Scannable Notebook on EN (Mac) as a PDF - now I want to email that PDF to my accountant (a non-EN user) Is there a quick way, without having to re-save the PDF to my desktop or similar? Many thanks! sb Mac OS 10.9.5 EN MAC 6.0.16
  15. I have a user that started using Evernote. She wanted to share a note form her ipad and used the Share>email feature. The email went to the recipient's junk folder because it came from an unknown evernote email address. Is there a way to have Evernote send things from the mail app, using their regular email account and NOT form some evernote address?
  16. Seems all of a sudden my AppleMail app lists most of my "To" emails as going to Evernote Upload Evernote. This is where I would normally expect to see my name in the "To" column for emails sent to me. Emails sent to others that I have been copied on or included in the list of receivers are not shown but any email sent direct to me shows up in the column view as to: Evernote Upload Evernote. How do I get back to seeing only my name listed there. I don't know what caused Evernote to move in on this program.

  20. I really want to use the feature in EN to push emails from my email to EN. I use gmail, with a custom domain. There only seems to be a forward. I can set up a redirect address and approve it, attach it to a filtter, but criteria must be met to fire the filter. If the email is in my inbox, it is too late. Unless there is a way to grab an already existing email and find a "redirect" button somewhere, as it is the only way i can alter the subject to add in notebooks and tags. Redirecting also doesn't change the headers and put the forward tokens in the body of the email, keeping it nice and clean. I moved to exclusive web based email a while ago and am finally happy with it. I really don't want to go back to desktop email and have all that email on my computer and have it sync every time I open the app. Plus, push suppose on Mac is not so great with gmail, at least for me. Redirect, a plug in, anything, suggestions? Could this even be done in a Safari plugin?
  21. Suggestion: Decrease the file size of handwritten note images so Evernote can become the one application that allows you to compose and send handwritten emails! ;-) Personally, I'd write by hand every message I intend to send by email if the file size of the resulting images weren't so large. I'd simply write all of my messages by hand using Evernote, then "Share" them by "Email". Evernote can bring handwriting back from the dead! Simply compress the file size of the handwriting-image as it's being sent so users won't have to worry about the person they're emailing becoming upset about being forced to receive their enormously sized emails that take up a huge chunk of their inbox's storage space. Whatcha think? Thoughts?
  22. I've just installed evernote on my dads iPad (new, OSx 6). Sending note from evernote dad by mail to my own email: works Sending email to evernote from my own email or email dad: works Sending note from my own evernote account to dads email: works The only thing that isn't working, and which is in fact the most important thing that should be working at this moment: sending note from evernote dad to email dad / coworkers (with similar email extension). Anyone have any clues for a solution? Dads email works on outlook server, but is also imported in Mac OSx Mail. Hope you can help us!

  24. Hi everyone. We are new to the Evernote forums. We would like to receive feedback on one of our new apps we have developed over the last 2 years. It's called Xnotifications, and you can sign up and download the trial at http://download.xnotifications.com/download.htm. Any feedback would be appreciated. . What does it do you might be asking? First off, it's a desktop app for Windows. When connected to your Evernote account, it allows you to choose which notebooks you would like to monitor for notifications of any new notes created in said notebook. Also, in the settings menu, you will see that you can enter the destination email addresses to forward the note to any platform that you choose. For example: A note was created by me that had information regarding service work, parts and time tracking etc. When Xnotifications sees this note come into the monitored notebook I chose, it not only notifies via pop-up style dialog box, it also automatically sends the note into our ticketing and billing system!! Eliminating steps and always able to stay in good ol' Evernote, the best information capturing software on the planet! If your office is already using Evernote, Xnotifications can be setup as a private in-office notification system. Just share a notebook, install Xnotifications and monitor the share for any new notes. Enough for now. Thank you in advance for any feedback. Xnotifications email: info@xnotifications.com We will respond to any feedback within 24hrs or sooner. Thanks
