  1. Hi, I am trying to add text to an existing note by email. Let's say I have an existing note with the title 'Travel' I want to add some text to that note. So I send an email to my evernote email address with 'Travel +' in the subject line. But it doesn't seem to work... Any suggestion? PGH
  2. Evernote will not allow me to change my email address. I have tried several times, filling in all the boxes only to be bounced back to an extinct email.
  3. I want email notes to my Evernote using its email address(@m.evernote.com), tried to send something email using Gmail is not working. I have no idea why, please advise if there are any limitation to this. P.S. I am using the Basic plan.
  4. Hi all, I am a premium user of 2 years now, who uses EN to organize 7 small businesses, and am just over 10k notes deep at the moment. This system is wonderful for our purposes, we can build 15 houses at once with great document control. Now I'm having an issue in that none of the new invoices are showing up. I scan them as always, and the IT guy who set up our system used appriver as the email service. Anyway, dozens of invoices are piling up and I need to find out what my issue is. Can anyone help? Thank you Gary
  5. When I forward a message (as attachment) from my email client to Evernote the creation date of the note is set to the timestamp the email is received and processed. Is it possible to set the creation date of the note to the timestamp (Date header) of the forwarded message? I use forward as attachment with an empty body and the Fwd: prefix removed so I get only the content of the forwarded email in my note, no other stuff.
  6. Hi, I'm experimenting with sending scans of documents to evernote by email. When I send multiple images as attachments to a single email they seem to appear in the note in a random sequence, not the sequence they were added to the email, nor in alphabetical order. Is there a way to specify the order they should be placed in the note in evernote? Here is an example of a note created with 20 images that were emailed in. The order appears to be random. The image file names were test01.png to test20.png https://www.evernote.com/shard/s210/sh/53584c9e-e004-4eb6-8d32-3bf6c7c9b8ce/5405e4df28921d0ba60df08b3a496f1b Thanks Jason
  7. I have two accounts, one premium and one basic. I want to consolidate into the premium account but I want to have the email address associated with the basic account as the main email. When I try to change the email address of the premium account to that of the basic account, it won't let me. Any ideas/ workarounds?
  8. Hello to all out there, I'm using Evernote Windows client and iOS client. I try to figure out how I can get the most out of evernote's reminder emails. a ) Perhaps I have missed it, but is there view of "all notes with reminders", "all notes with open reminders" or "all reminder emails"?? I am missing that feature, especially in the Windows client. b ) Emails without notebook-specific headlines and even the reminder emails send by Evernote itself are not always imported into the "default" notebook, where nearly all emails are imported into. I sometimes find Evernote's reminders in different notebooks where "related" or "similar" content is hosted ... and therefore miss them :-( So, how do I get better control of my reminders? How can I stop missing those reminders? Thanks in advance, Juergen from Kiel (northern Germany)
  9. Following the instructions on this page https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005347 I'm creating an email with the subject line clips @writing #org + and the body create a clip file for found ideas to germinate for later use I already have a note named "clips" in the notebook "writing" and yet it keeps creating a new note called "clips #org" instead of appending this email body to the existing "clips" note. What am I doing wrong? Is tagging (#org) only for *creating* a note, not appending?
  10. I am unable to share notes. I am trying to share in Work Chat, but it keeps saying I need to verify my email. When I click to send me a link, I never get it. I've hear it might be being blocked by my work email server. How can I fix this?
  11. I have three email addresses on my phone and Microsoft Outlook 2016 on my PC doesn't do a good job of syncing updated and new Contacts to my phone for some of the accounts. So I sometimes will email a new contact to myself from my PC to my phone with the intention of opening the Contact attached to the email and saving it on my iPhone 5 (with the latest OS, whatever it is) as a new contact on my phone. But when I open the email on my iPhone, before my eyes, in about two seconds, the attached contact is converted to an Evernote something (contact? note?), and I can't open it to save it to my phone. (Doesn't open in EN or Outlook.) This has been going on for at least a month and I'm just now getting around to try to figure out how to fix it. Help, please.!
  12. Hi, I apologise in advance as I've done something completely idiotic. I have never used an online notes service - am not remotely knowledgeable about these things. I've set up an Evernote account, installed the apps and, wanting to keep this account and some other emails separate for business purposes had entered my 'email' address as the same as my 'email notes to' address. This has put me into a cycle where i.d. reset or support request sends the email to my evernote email address which I cannot see anywhere within the app. I can't revert to my gmail address as it shows up as being 'in use'. I can't 'click through' to access online support and don't seem to be able to find a phone number for Australian users. Is my understanding somehow deeply flawed here? Can someone let me know if it is possible to log in to my evernote use.r@m.evernote.com email address and check it in the same way I do my gmail account?
  13. I frequently bcc my EN account on emails that I send out. I know how to do it, and I know that if I put @[notebook name] in the subject line the email will go into the specified EN notebook. Is there a way to do that without the recipient also getting that annotation? Subject lines in emails that have random and apparently arbitrary content confuses the recipient. Let's say the subject is Sunday's company picnic, but I want to bcc into my EN notebook called "torture" the subject line would read Subject: Sunday's company picnic @torture. Yes, I know that part of the political problem can be avoided by using less inflammatory notebook names, but this is for illustration only. Thanks.
  14. I must repeat, why is Evernote support so terrible? It would seem they are literally running AWAY from customers and their suggestions. It use to be VERY easy to send them a quick email. Now their site makes it very hard to find how to send them an email. Second thing. I've been asking since 2003 for them to add a better audio recording experience on Android. Since recent OS updates, this is more than possible and other apps have proved that. The current implementation is terrible and a few steps behind it's iOS sister. We can't: Multitask while recordingRecord in better quality, only AMR (A codec released in 1999)Play back recordings on iOS device (since it's in AMR) I believe in Evernote. But I feel this company is greedy and their support for products and listening to users is underwhelming. Frankly, they don't even reply on their forums or consider our ideas. They reply with stock answers if you ever get through the maze to find their email. I know a company needs to make a profit, but at least have a student pricing and be open to your users. Evernote. My trust in you is slowly dying. Then again, why am I calling you out when you don't even come here.
  15. Hi There are a few tools around already to help send email messages into Evernote. The basic idea is simple; if you are using Evernote as your GTD or task tracking system, you want an easy way to throw emails into Evernote and get rid of them from your Inbox. Many of these tools require a third party application in order to set the shortcut key. I've written an Automator action for Mac that runs as a "service", which in normal peoples terms means you can easily set a shortcut cut for this in System Preferences. Here's a link to my documentation about it: http://goo.gl/WIXG3x This Automator action is very specific (but can be easily changed if you know Applescript), it will: Use the currently selected emails in Mail.app to... Create evernote notes for each selected email and then... Move each selected email to the "Archive" folder of the appropriate Mail.app account, finally setting it's background to blue (so you know it was moved into Evernote)It's simple, but super effective - and one cool idea is that the Evernote note retain a link back to the original email message. You can download the Automator action, and install this by following the instructions here. Happy Evernote'ing! -- John Clayton
  16. Greedy cash grab by highly profitable company, combined with specious, disingenuous excuse that it's really what's best for our customers = create notebooks in GoodReader, transfer notes into Good Reader and delete Evernote. I'll bet I'm not the only one for whom this is the final straw. Goodbye GoodReader is a much better app. Does much more and NO IAPs or sneaky lets keep deleting features to get people to pay to have notebooks. Check it out, you won't be sorry. Don't get me wrong, Evernote, the product is great. Evernote the company, not so much.
  17. I have set in my preferences a notebook as my default. When I email to my evernote email, it seems like it decides randomly where to put it. I want all emails to go to that one notebook. Is this a bug or a feature?
  18. I currently have a dedicated email account for all my receipts, 'receipts@xxxxxx.com'. I've set this account up to forward to my Evernote account and I've set up a notebook called "Receipts". When I forward, I add @Receipts to the subject line. My understanding is that this should have Evernote place the note created from the email in my Receipts notebook, however it's going into my default ('Inbox') notebook instead. Am I doing something wrong?
  19. It would be great if there were an easy way to send any note as a PDF file by email. In one click from a share menu, it would be possible to automatically convert a note to PDF, open the default mail client and add that PDF that was just created to a brand-new email message.
  20. How can I prevent my notes changing format when I email them? Once emailed they have multiple fonts and this looks unprofessional. thanks Leanne
  21. I have a personal Evernote account that I pay for, which uses my personal email address. I also use Evernote for work notes, and I would like to be able to share some notes with coworkers without giving them my personal email address, as well as receive notifications that they have edited the shared note on my work email instead of my personal email. Is there a way to have two email addresses on the same account, and choose from which address I wish to share when I start to share a note or notebook? Evernote Business is not in the cards right now, so any workflow that involves Business is irrelevant.

  23. Hello, when I create articles with Evernote and then email them to someone else within my company at the bottom of all emails they have a footer that says. Evernote helps you remember everything and get organized effortlessly. Download Evernote. I would like to remove this footer from my business communications and being that I am a Premium account purchaser I would think this is possible? I looked in the options and it seems their is no way for me to remove this? I can understand Evernote might want to promote their product however this is wrong and I sent a few email like this and my employer asked me this morning not to included these links in my emails however I had no idea it was even happening as I didn't choose the "CC" option so when I did CC myself and see this I was rather disappointed that Evernote was sneaking in this footer without my permission. Please give me the option of removed this footer if I don't want it, I recommend your product all the time and have come back after leaving for awhile and will keep recommending it but this sort of advertising being added to all my outgoing emails or articles comes across as spam plain and simple, please provide the option for Premium users who pay for your product to remove this as my employer has already complained. Thank you
  24. When placing an image into an email in Mac Outlook, the recipients receive a washed out version. I've noticed this a few times but haven't done enough to completely pinpoint the exact scenario - I think it's gif format though may happen with png too. Typically I drag the file icon from the image view window to the email window to place and attach it.
  25. This is in General Discussions because it affects both EN Web (new version) and EN Windows 5.9.3 - plus email, Work Chat, Basic and Premium. Long story short, I needed a new Basic account because I planned a public share for some specific information, and wanted it 'branded' in a particular way. Set that up via Evernote.com, but obviously didn't download any software because I already have my main Premium account and a couple of others installed on the one machine. I know I can switch between accounts pretty easily, but I need to create some notes in premium and copy to the other account, so it would be easier (I thought) to share at least one notebook from basic to premium. I duly set up share for one notebook and sent the invite to the email address connected to the premium account. I've done this before (though not recently) and it worked fine. So I switched back to the main account and waited for the email or a Share notification. Nothing. I waited some more. Nada. Checked spam folders, other email addresses and the premium account. Nil and Zero. Hmmn. Maybe I screwed up. Back to the web account, unshare the notebook (yes, the email address was correct) and try again. Waiting... and now it's lunch time. Went away for an hour. Came back. See various checks above - nothing, nada, nil and zero. Perhaps 'share' isn't working from the web (new version) account. Can't be bothered to switch back and try again, so I switched from premium to basic on the computer*. Unshared and shared again from there. Still nothing after another hour of checking. (* Since I'm on both ends of this share I can set up the new account without any problems.) OK I didn't need the invite anyway since I'm controlling both sides of this - but it would be nice to know what happened. There's nothing in my Activity log on the premium account about the share or any chat invites. However: View > Work Chat shows all of the Share messages of which I had no notifications at all. I know email invites don't get issued for the 2nd share, but first time around I didn't get any emails from this brand new account, and in no case did I get any alerts from the application. So. I'm set up and working now, but Work Chat as it applies to sharing notebooks seems to be a bit broken. If you're sharing with someone it would be a good idea to ask them (by separate email) to check the Work Chat window if they don't receive any notification - they'll likely find the invite there. Feature request: More bells and whistles (literally!) when a share invitation is received. And please fix this!
