  1. Hi! I have a lot of notes, that just contain a pdf file (for example a scan of a proof of enrollment). These pdfs are being displayed "inline". Quite often I have to email one of these files, only the file, note the whole note! What I do now is, I open the file in the preview app and then hit "Send file via email". It's not too much of a hassle, but still, when you have to send many files like that it becomes a little bit tedious. I'd appreciate it a lot, if you could add something like "send attachement via email" to the context menu of EN! Thanks, Julius
  2. Each week I get the below email from Evernote that is very hard to read: Font is way too small on the lines listing the blogs released that week The extremely large graphic "Week In Review" gets in the way of viewing the main content of the email Size is way out of proportion of the other elements Takes up too much space Doesn't really add anything Has no aesthetic appeal Sorry to be blunt EN folks, but, IMO, it is very poor design layout. Maybe you could tweak it a bit to make it more readable/usable, as well as be more pleasing to the eye. Form should follow function: First make it easy to read, scan, and click the blogs released, then make it pretty/cute/cool/etc. Here it is:
  3. Hi, I'm using the feature to send some notes to my evernote account using the "email" feature. It does work, but not with all services. If I am using a 3rd party service that allows me to send an article as an email, it works for my personal email address, but when I use the evernote email address it never arrives in evernote. If I send from other services or directly from my email account it works fine. Are there restrictions on where email can come from? Is there any type of filtering of the incoming email? Any info is appreciated.
  4. When I make a calendar event entry on my Droid2 phone, it sends an email to my Evernote email address. Note that my calendar is linked to a Google calendar. However, when I make an entry on my Droid XYBOARD (linked to the same Google calendar), it does NOT send an email to Evernote. Any way to get phone to stop sending those emails. It's an unnecessary pain as I just have to delete them from Evernote. Thanks for any help!! John
  5. Evernote maintains an extensive (and searchable) knowledge base on each of our platforms and products. The KB Spotlight is a regular forum feature that helps educate and cross-pollinate knowledge base articles with our user forum. As always, your comments are welcome! Designating an emailed note Evernote allows you to designate the target notebook and tags for an emailed note in the email subject line. For example, if you wanted your emailed note to appear in your Cooking notebook, simply append "@Cooking" to the email subject (without the quotation marks). If you wanted to tag the note, just add tags to the email subject like this: #recipes #vegetarian #sometag. Note that if you want to designate the target notebook and tags using this method, you must place the notebook name before the tags. Here is an example of the correct way to format the email subject using this syntax: Authentic cornbread @Cooking #recipes #vegetarian #baking Note that both the notebook designation and the tags appear at the end of the subject. Also, any notebook or tags added to the email subject must already exist in your Evernote account. Using the above example: assuming you didn't already have a tag "baking" in your Evernote account, the title of the note would contain "#baking" once it arrived in your Evernote account and that tag will not be applied. If you designate a non-existent notebook in the email subject, the note will be added to your default notebook.
  6. I'm running Evernote on the latest version of MacOSX. I believe that when I email a post, it goes through the 'Mail' application, but honestly I'm not sure. = /
  7. Every time I post via email I get a response from Evernote telling me additional things I can do with email. Great, I've seen that once I don't need to see that email message for EVERY note I email in. How do I turn that off? Thanks, Leo
  8. I get a variety of email that I funnel to Evernote for future reference. Generally this involves, 1) forwarding something from my email inbox to evernote 2) when the note posts on Evernote, I tag it accordingly. I would like to be able to use 'pre-processor' commands so that the note when emailed to evernote (step 1), would eliminate the second step. Something like #tag:tag1 #tag:tag2 #notebook:DailyNotes sent in the 'forwarding text'. The '#' can work as a pre-processor command for evernote. . this would save me a great deal of time since I would not have to in go to Evernote to complete the posting. It would also save a lot of processing time on the Evernote servers, since I then don't have to go to evernote, open the note, tag it, move it to an appropriate notebook & then sync it.
  9. Hi. This is my one of my favorite applications. From time to time I share articles with others by email. Is there a way to add "To" addresses as "BCC" addresses? Thanks!
  10. I just discovered the "share by email" feature - it seems useful but ... there is always a but ... I use Evernote for keeping track of several different roles I have. For these roles I use three different email addresses (and two different email clients!) and a fourth to actually register accounts etc (this email address is something I only use for registrations). Unfortunately Evernote uses the registration address when sending emails, I would like to be able to select the proper sender address depending on why I'm sending this mail. Is this possible to do in some way? I couldn't find info about that in forums or the knowledge base.
  11. Hi EN and fans! I'd like to send my notes to my kindle. All I need is emailing the note as a zipped attachment to my xyz@free.kindle.com. The content format could be anything that kindle service may handle like RTF, DOC, DOCX, PDF, TXT, zipped HTML, etc. Currently the Share > Send by Email... sends the content in the message body. I am suggesting the Share > Email as attachment... option. Thank you for doing what you are doing
