  1. Hi, Recently, to solve my own problem: to directly save any article I read in my iPhone to Evernote, I created a service named Pineco.me, and opened it online. With this service, you don’t need to install any app, the only thing you will do is just to share the links of web articles you read from any app through email to Pineco.ME service. Then Pineco.ME will automatically extract the readable contents of the articles, and saved them to notebook you assigned. It works similar to Evernote’s “Email to notebook” feature, but what you will get is similar to how you use Web Clipper or Clearly. It makes blog posts, articles, web pages clean and easy to read. And the best thing is you can use it in both desktop and smart phone. It is really easy to use and free. The service is available and free on http://pineco.me , you can try it and give me some feedbacks, I am happy to listen to any feedback and continuously improve it.
  2. Hello I've been using Evernote for about 3 weeks and everyday I find another use for it. Love it! My problem is that recently notes that I forward to my evernote email address are sporadically going to Notebooks that I do not specify. I know to use the @(notebook name) to direct a email to a specific notebook. But sometimes I don't indicate a notebook in the subject line and it automatically goes to my Vacation notebook. or, I in can specify @Recipes and it goes to "work" notebook. My default notebook is "First Notebook". Has anyone experienced this before? BTW, I do the majority of my work on an iPad. Evernote is synced to my PC and iPhone.
  3. I've recently open a new gmail account as my primary account. And I don't plan on using the services I registered with my previous account. So my question is how can I transfer my notebooks to a new evernote account, I don't plan on using this current one anymore. If theres any other way than copying and pasting notes one-by-one, please let me know.
  4. Hello I am new to evenote - but wanted to try the feature of sending emails from my email account (email client) using Postbox or Thunderbird to evenote. So I forearded an email to my evenote email address - it DOES NOT show in the inbox nor anywhere in the evernote. If I sent the same email from my gmail account ( on the gmail website) - it shows up in the inbox. Can anyone help me in that? Freya
  5. I'm sure this will probably already have been suggested, but I'll post this anyway. For a while now I've been using the feature that allows you to send email direct into Evernote. in fact I've built up an entire stack of these emails. But a thought occurred to me, wouldn't it be great Evernote had a built in email client. This would allow you to send/receive emails directly from within Evernote and would eliminate the need to email specific messages into Evernote. You could simply just hit, add to stack. Just thought I'd put it out there. Gary
  6. OK, this may be a bit picky.. but you used to be able to share notes via email through the client. I get that it probably forced Evernote to host a relay email server but it was so convenient. Now we are forced to use Mail.app on Mac. I am a GMail user for work and home. I can always share a link or other ways. I am just curious if this is going to be an option to send via GMail? or is that feature gone for good?
  7. Hello, I know that one is supposed to be able to send the content of a note by email, such that the recipient can read the note without an evernote account. Is this also possible for a whole notebook? And if so, - how? I only have evernote on my android mobile, since my pc is running on ubuntu for which there is no evernote version. So I hope for an answer considering this constrain. Oh, btw how can I delete a whole notebook?
  8. Hi there, The email address originally linked to my Evernote account is now less used contrary to another email address. I changed the email address in the settings of my Evernote account. But I don't receive any of the reminders I set. Any idea to solve the problem? Thanks, Ben
  9. Maybe I am missing something simple, but I cannot figure out an easy one-step way to copy an email into Evernote, and the manual is no help (it refers to using the Safari bookmarklet for some reason). Things that should work, but don't, are dragging an email to Evernote from Mail, right clicking on selected text inside mail and using a service there to capture the selection. The only thing that works right now is selecting text, copying it, and then pasting as a new note. Isn't there a better way??? If there isn't please add any of the above to the feature requests for the Mac version. Thanks for any tips about this!
  10. I've sent a message to the support team, but for reasons beyond the scope of this email, I'm a bit concerned so asking here as well. Evernote is always ON on my computer (I'm the only one with access to it), and on my phone (needs a pin number to unlock). Today, I had to look into my account settings to remember my account name, etc, and noticed that my email had changed to an email I would have never dreamed of on my own, and a somewhat derogatory email handle on top of that... I changed it back to my real email, but how the hell did this happen?
  11. Hi all, I would like to add by email a note containing check boxes in one of my notebooks. The wished content should be like this : Todo for Ann Todo for Bob Todo for Chuckwith chek boxes instead of numbers. The goal is just to add a note in a shared notebook with other users (Ann, Bob, Chuck) who could then check the boxes. It is important it should be send by email as a result of an automated process. I can't find a way to perform this (tried attached file or content in enex format) Is it possible ?
  12. Hi, I use Evernote on Windows 8 all day and every day. Thank you for your great product. Here comes the problem: When I write down an e-mail address it turns into an e-mail client launcher link. That's a great feature. Sometimes I find out that I have written the e-mail address wrong. But when I correct the address in the clickable link, and then re-click it; the e-mail client is launched with the original-wrong address again. With an example: True address: xxx@yyy.com The note I took: xxp@yyy.com when I click the link e-mail client launches with xxp@yyy.com then I edit my note and make it xxx@yyy.com when I click it again the e-mail client still launches with xxp@yyy.com
  13. Ok, I've been happily chugging along emailing messages to my Evernote upload address. I sent about 10-20 a day, depending on what I get in my inbox. Last night I go a bizarre email from Evernote. Here's a pic of it: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s24/sh/1e63de59-a6cc-4840-92e6-ad2a4aebba64/5adc94b9733cbd75628d7f08e77f18cf (I've also attached a pic in case this link breaks) Support tells me there is a 250 message limit on incoming messages, but there's no way I've come anywhere close to that. I got another error message just like the one above when I tried to forward a message to my upload email address. Has anyone else experienced this or found a resolution? Cheers, Osric
  14. When I set up an email reminder everything works but placement of the reminder in the right notebook. I set it up as follows: Email Subject: Boarding Passes @Travel !2014/02/13 #Itinerary It puts the date in and sets the reminder but places the message in my default mailbox instead of Travel. Are the "spaces" incorrect? I copied this right from your "Tips for Emailing Into Evernote. I am on a Mac with Mavericks OSX 10.9.1
  15. The ability to forward an email directly into Evernote is great. The ability to add a notebook and tags in the subject line is even better. But there are some flies in the ointment: 1. Why should we have to remember to always put @notebook first, and then #tags second? It should work either way, in fact it should work if @notebook comes right in the middle of a string of #tags. 2. What happens if either your notebook name or your desired tags contain spaces? The obvious answer would be to "enclose them in quotes" but this doesn't seem to work. Please fix theses issues. As far as I know, there is no full and precise documentation of how this feature works, so you need that, too.
  16. Hi there! I'm trying to use the email to a designated folder functionality and it just isn't working. I've sent it with @FolderName and @Folder Name and neither will forward to the correct folder. I CAN set tags (#) and reminders (!) but cannot get the email to go to anything other than my default folder. I'm a premium user but haven't modified many settings. Do I need to do something to enable this functionality? Any help would be much appreciated.
  17. When emailing into Evernote I don't seem to get a consistent notebook selected. I know I can specify a notebook in the subject line but when I don't use that feature I want all emails to go to the default notebook as specified in the client. I have sent several emails from two different accounts and on each occasion the emails were filed in different notebooks. I can't seem to see any setting to change this. Thanks
  18. Anyone have a good suggestion to filter emails you've CC'd yourself on from the Evernote client in a Gmail account? I've had a filter set up for a year+ now that worked well - it was simply "from" my email address and had the words "from Evernote" in it. But Evernote has changed what their sig is to Evernote helps you remember everything and get organized effortlessly. Download Evernote. So I could change my filter again, but then Evernote could change their sig again and it would never be right. I specifically mention Gmail because the filter settings are somewhat limited as far as I know. I'd just like to have the Emails that I send and CC myself on be labeled and auto-archived so I have a record of them, but they aren't in my inbox.
  19. I am recycling a feature request I made a long time ago for the Windows version of Evernote . I would like access to my email address book from inside Evernote when sharing a note. Other platforms do this, and since it is not in the Beta of the 5.0 release, it is probably not going to be in the final version. If you would find this useful, please lend your support.
  20. I copy a 5 page long email to EN. It contains text and 3 photos. I later copy from EN to a new email. It looks ok(in Mac Mail), but after I send it each photo is replaced with a box and text: NOT GOOD! I use Mac Mail/Gmail, OS X 10.9.1 Mavericks and EN Version 5.4.4 (402282) This means I can not use EN to store emails I wish to reuse on a regular basis. It also means I can not safely use EN to copy images to email at all, since I can not be sure until email is sent that photo will go with it! Any ideas? Thanks Phil
  21. A friend of mine just started to use Evernote on her ipad. She emailed me one of her notes. It came into my email as an attachment that was a Word doc. This is a very happy thing and I want to recreate this strategy, but cannot figure out what her settings are that permit this and what I need to do so that my notes send as Word doc email attachments. I am a premium user. When I email a note, the contents of the note are the body of the email. Thanks.
  22. Hey! When I try to clip my gmail in chrome, all I get is the header info no content at all. Am I missing something. The latest newsletter says that it clips everything in the email. Not sure what I'm ding wrong!
  23. When I forward email from my Gmail account to Evernote, I noticed that the "sender" of the email can be found in the "i" button under the "author" field for the note which was created. It would be most useful if that "author" field could be copied/replicated in the body of the note, or at least somewhere in the note proper. Since I, and many other Evernote users, utilize this approach to manage workload from emails, this capability would be most welcome. Is there some way to accomplish this now (some script or third-party solution), or is this something that I/users should request as a future "feature?" Has anyone in the forum worked out a solution to this requirement? Thanks, Mike
  24. I changed my email address on Evernote account, but here on the forum settings page it still shows my old email. When I tried changing it, I got a message that my current password is incorrect - I didn't forget or mistyped the password because it is the same password I used logging into forum. I tried several times to log in and out of Evernote - the password works. Can anyone help?
  25. For a week now I have been unable to email my notes. I get this message: Unfortunately, we were unable to deliver the email to your intended recipient. The email was returned to us as undeliverable. The outgoing email adresses have not changed. I would appreciate any tips on how to solve this problem as, without being able to email, my notes become almost useless... Thanks Claire
