  1. Hi All, I have 2 active Evernote accounts with 2 different email addresses. I have deactivated/removed one and kept the other one, but tried to swap the email address. When I try to change the mail address, it says the email is already active (which belongs to the deactivated account). Do you know if I am doing something wrong or the time gets deactivated a removed account? Thanks! Antoni
  2. I closed my old email account before updating Evernote with my new email. I cannot use forgot password , then access my Evernote account, change to new email address because new password will go to defunct account. Do I create a new account? what happens to my old notes? Do I have to download the app again? I have received no updates etc. since Sept. 2014. Zeus 442
  3. Is there a way to choose what your email client is if you click on a email link in a note?
  4. Hi everyone. We are new to the Evernote forums. We would like to receive feedback on one of our new apps we have developed over the last 2 years. It's called Xnotifications, and you can sign up and download the trial at http://download.xnotifications.com/download.htm. Any feedback would be appreciated. . What does it do you might be asking? First off, it's a desktop app for Windows. When connected to your Evernote account, it allows you to choose which notebooks you would like to monitor for notifications of any new notes created in said notebook. Also, in the settings menu, you will see that you can enter the destination email addresses to forward the note to any platform that you choose. For example: A note was created by me that had information regarding service work, parts and time tracking etc. When Xnotifications sees this note come into the monitored notebook I chose, it not only notifies via pop-up style dialog box, it also automatically sends the note into our ticketing and billing system!! Eliminating steps and always able to stay in good ol' Evernote, the best information capturing software on the planet! If your office is already using Evernote, Xnotifications can be setup as a private in-office notification system. Just share a notebook, install Xnotifications and monitor the share for any new notes. Enough for now. Thank you in advance for any feedback. Xnotifications email: info@xnotifications.com We will respond to any feedback within 24hrs or sooner. Thanks

I used word tried because it did not work. It still says that is already being used. But when I log in with Acct2 the page would say that it is deactivated. Thoughts?
  8. Hi, Here is my problem with my Evernote account : I use Evernote on my phone, so it is not necessary to login to use it. My email used to create this account (edelacha@hotmail.com) is not available anymore. it has been corrupted and Microsoft deleted it. Now I cannot login on Evernote to change this email and my password. I cannot contact support without be connected with my account. That's why I created a new account to create this post. Does anyone know how to contact support to retrieve data of my previous account (currently the accoutn htat I use on my phone) ? Thanks
  9. Hello, two things I miss about sending emails to evernote: 1. Direct email for notebooks There should be an email address for each notebook. E-Mails could directly be sent to special mailboxes. 2. Tagging incoming emails I'd like to add default tags like "new" to emails added to a notebook. Jan
  10. Another account was activated via third party app....thanks google...I have notes on unwanted 2nd account I want to merge to 1st and delete 2nd thank you
  11. I use Evernote for piano lesson notes emailed to families. Several months ago, I could type the beginning of the email and it would fill in the rest in "share" mode. Then, if a student missed a lesson, it would not fill in the rest of the address. Now, even if the student comes regularly, it will NOT fill in the rest of the email and i have to go to my email site and type in each time! Frustrating. Is this normal for Evernote?
  12. hi i have just updated to the newest version of evernote and appear to have lost my functionality to send emails i can receive them ok but i vacant send them out without using something call work chat which is not suitable for me i have tried to send some through work chat, which i don't understand, but they have not been received the old style had a bog with an arrow expanding out of it but it appears this has been removed which was previously an email direct option could you please help as without this functionality my evernote account is pretty useless thank you
  13. Hi there, I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction. I need to find out how to send one email to my Evernote account with several attachments that would automatically show each attachment as a new note. Most likely it's irrelevant but attachments are jpgs or pdfs. I appreciate any help.
  14. I understand that EN doesn't have its own addressbook, and can appreciate the myriad reasons (including our having to keep different addressbooks synced). However, it's obnoxious to have to go hunt for an email address when I'm forwarding a note (share | email). A workaround was posted in 2013, https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/28887-populating-the-address-book-in-evernote/. I might try that - easier than going to gmail, composing new message, and allow autocomplete in gmail to pop up the address which I copy and paste onto Evernote. (Ugh.) In Windows, the newly implemented Work Chat somehow accesses my Gmail addressbook. However, no addresses at all are accessed: 1. On my Android Nexus Tablet. 2. When I email a note to someone -- far more powerful than the one-line chat capability. Are these capabilities in the works? Has someone found a better solution to use the Email from Evernote option? Thanks, lena
  15. I recently learned about the possibility to send an email to Evernote as a note, but as far as I can see, there is no way to have an email to be sent in a specific notebook. Yammer solves this issue by adding extensions to the email address for groups and I am sure Evernote can implement something similar for notebooks. Let's assume that the email address to send an email to my Evernote is xxxxxx@evernote.com. To have my email to be added to my notebook called "My Notebook", I would easily send the email to xxxxxx+mynotebook@evernote.com. At least this is how it is implemented in Yammer and I think it will work with Evernote too. I think it is an important feature because if you send a lot of emails with important information to Evernote, having to categorize them manually may be overwhelming. Thanks, Deniz
  16. I need to link directly to specific email messages in Evernote or some program somewhere AND I need to be able to make changes from MacBook, iPhone, iPad, etc. I've found 2 methods that somewhat accomplish what I'm trying to do, but both have bugs when it comes to using it on my iPhone. 1: When I'm on my MacBook, I can drag and drop an email into a note. I can then click on the link and be taken directly to the email where I can reply, delete, forward, etc. This is fantastic - exactly what I need - but when I try to click on the link from my iPhone, it takes me only to my mailboxes - not to the email message that it's linked to. 2. So I played with it and researched for hours when I finally learned that if I drag and drop the email into TextEditor, I can then right click, select "copy link" and then paste it into the note. Even though the link is long and ugly when I do it this way, it still works. So I decided to do that, but again, I opened it on my phone, this time it worked to pull up the email, but then I noticed that if I make any changes to the note from my phone - no matter how big or small, all the links to the emails I've put in "deactivate" or are no longer clickable. Is there some type of workaround or another program outside of Evernote that I can use to accomplish this?
  17. I try to use the share button to send note to another evernote account, and cc to myself(gmail). Actually my gmail received the copy of the note. But not that evernote account. Surely the address was typed correctly. Of course We can copy the Note url and share it to others, I just tend to share by sending email. Anything wrong here? Thank you.
  18. I've unchecked notify me of new comments in my email. But I am getting ONS of spam new topic notifications every day. It seems nobody is moderating. I dont want to waste my time looking in the forum if there is mostly spam. It needs to be better organized and moderated quicly before it gets to the real members using evernote. I come here to learn and save more time, not waste more of it
  19. Good evening - I'm brand new to Evernote. Created Local notebook on my desktop and successfully forwarded an email from my phone to the Local notebook yesterday. However, anything I forward today destined for the Local notebook is going into my inbox ! What am I doing incorrectly ? My subject line looks like this "Subject @private". Thanks for your assistance.
  20. Hello, I am a premium user of Evernote running Win 8.1. When I use the Send to Evernote button in Outlook 2013, the email sends fine, but the font size shrinks randomly to 6, 7, or 8 pts. This is much too small. I have set the default font size in notes to 11 pts, and that works fine when I create a new note or paste other material in from another source, but this tiny font is ridiculous. If I enlarge the font size to 11pts, then it shows up gigantic on my Blackberry. Anyone know how to fix this? TIA!
  21. Hi I often share notes by email especially with people who are not regular Evernote users, however it seems that Evernote only remembers the last email address I used. Is there some setting that will allow me to pick from a list of previously used email addresses? I currently go into Outlook, open the contact, copy the address and then move back to Evernote. Thanks
  22. I am having trouble with emailing to the default notebook, on both EN web and Windows 7. Haven't checked it on my phone or Ipad, but I'm assuming if the web version has the problem, then all my versions will. I had a notebook called New / unprocessed. Recently I noticed all new emailed items were going into Cabinet reference. Made sure that New was default, tried checking and unchecking, etc. No change. Cleared out old things from New / Unprocessed, deleted that notebook, made a new one called All new so that alphabetically it is the first notebook. No change; everything was still going into Cabinet reference. Here is where it's get weird (at least to me). Made a new notebook, called in Reference, moved everything there, deleted Cabinet reference. Made sure that All new is my default, and that Reference isn't. Everything emailed in is still going to Reference notebook. Ideas?
  23. I just had an unsolicited email from Evernote. Containing my Evernote account email address in big green type as a mailto:link. Am I overreacting or is that an especially dumb thing to do with a piece of information that I really don't want to share with anyone else? In context the email is sitting there like an annoyingly enthusiastic puppy saying 'save me into your contacts!' and 'send flight or hotel reservations!' - all of which are good things to say, but not when also waving my email address around like a brightly-coloured flag! -This seems to be the latest in a long line of 'how to' emails I've been getting since setting up a new free account several weeks ago. All part of a mini-project to see what new users learn on the way in. So far they've been helpful, but F Y I - this one isn't! Why not give me a link to look up my address -if I want to- that will require a log-in on the way?
  24. I find it so silly to have to toggle back and forth between my email system, my calendar, and my Evernote. It seems that any smart system would incorporate all three seamlessly (such as Outlook). I don't understand why Evernote wouldn't simply go in that direction and create a system that is in fact email, a calendar, and all that is already Evernote. Anyone out there heard of any or all of these aspects on the horizon of Evernote's future? My life would exponentially become smoother if Evernote had that capability. Doesn't seem like it would be all that complicated to come out with the system, with all the popularity and success Evernote is gaining. Thoughts?
