  1. Using: Evernote for Android v4.0.1 Sometimes I come across sections of text deep in the body of notes which need editing. When I tap the pencil to enter edit mode, the cursor is inserted at the top of the note, and the screen, of course, starts there as well. Am I being dense, or is this a feature request? Can I enter edit mode, and have the cursor be inserted, at the current scroll position in the note body? It's a bummer to need to scroll all the way back down the note to find the place I was just at. Thanks for your time.
  2. Hi, Not sure if this has been reported, but I searched and didn't find anything. On my ICS Galaxy SIIx I am experiencing that the screen does not shut off while I'm editing a note. A simple test is to do the following: Create a new note (keyboard comes up) - type some stuff, and leave it. The screen stays on for longer than the defined display off cycle. I tested this on the charger and it was on for a long time... Not sure if this is by design, but it was unexpected for me, as I usually jot some thoughts down, and put the devices back down. On that note, easier access to the "save" button, or an auto save feature would be useful. Other comments - after a bit of editing, I've noticed the Android editor can get a little lost, where the cursor is no longer marking the insertion point. It seems like there is some corruption in the editor's cusor location. I can elaborate in a separate post if there is interest. Thanks again for all the hard work making the app as great as it is! Cheers, Ed
  3. Situation: Premium account shares a notebook with a free account. The free account (both web and desktop) sees two notebooks: SharedNotedbook and SharedNotebook1, each with different note counts and notes. In SharedNotebook, the properties state view only. In SharedNotebook1, the properties state edt and view. When a note is added or edited in SharedNotebook1, the note moves into SharedNotebook and is no longer editable (desktop), but is editable on web. When the premium account edits the note, from the free account perspective the note moves back. On the premium account, only SharedNotebook is visable with the full note count. Is this expected? Can the premium account do something to make this stop? Can the premium account determine which notes have moved from the perspective of the free account?
  4. When you attach an existing file to EN, any changes to that file are no longer reflected in the version in EN. If you open the file from within EN, any changes are made to it's version, not the original file. You end with two copies of the file on your computer, one in it's original location and one in the Attachments folder. Not good. Is there a way to have EN link the original file in its original location and not make it's own copy? I understand that moving the file would kill the link, but having two separate copies is potentially much more confusing and dangerous. Thanks, Brad
  5. If I have a premium account I can have certain of my notebooks which I can allow others to share and edit. Correct? Can I control which notebooks they can see/read, which notebooks they can edit and which notebooks they cannot even know exist? In order for them to share and edit, do they have to have their own Evernote accounts? If so, do their Evernote accounts have to be Premium in order for them to edit the notebooks I allow them to edit?
  6. Hello, How do I make my notebook available for others to edit my notes?
  7. Open a note with an image Right click Select "Open" (or "Open With --> Preview") Evernote crashes. Sometimes with an infinite spinning beach ball, other times it just becomes unresponsive and needs to be force-quitted I'm on OSX Lion 10.7.2 with Evernote 3.0.3RC (it's been happening for at least the last 2 updates. Not sure if it began when I upgraded to Lion or with an Evernote update) It's also been crashing when I try to open a couple of notes that have large PDFs embedded in them I have deleted the program and reinstalled it. Any suggestions?
  8. Hi, When I am editing notes, I dont see increase/decrease indent and the bullets button in the tool bar. Is there a way to add them in the toolbar. I have attached the screen shot of what I see. I am using version 3.3.0 in mac as an app, since I have heard/realized that the web version is limiting. Any pointers ? Thanks!
  9. Hi, I am a evernote newbie switching form one note . I take multiple notes on evernote but each time I have to write to a new note I have to click on the pencil icon which beats the purpose of quickly pasting somethign in it . Is there a way to just have each note in edit mode like word, oneNote, notepad, etc ? Thanks!
  10. Anyone looking for a picture editor in Android might want to look at this (courtesy of LifeHacker).. "All the usual tweaks are here: cropping (custom sizes and standard print sizes), adjustments of brightness/contrast/saturation/sharpness, flip or rotate the photo's orientation, red-eye removal, teeth whitening, and blemish removal as well as more advanced effects like auto-enhance, night-enhance, and the ability to draw or add text to the image. There are also a few effects packs available such as the Grunge effects and Nostalgia effects packs that add Instamatic-like photo tweaks." I have no connection with the app..
  11. My fellow Evernoters, I would appreciate a lot if there could be a possibility for limited editing a note (besides font choice and size, B, I and U, Style and Alignment. What I am writing about is: always when I enlarge fonts in a note the distance between written lines almost disappears and words in two neighbouring lines are almost overlapping. Well, to be precise - is there a possibility to get power of "Spacing", along with Style and Alignment?! Is there a way to change this existing annoyance of non-existing Spacing into existing Spacing and Indenting? Thank you. Troyrose
