  1. The old notes list was nice and compact, but in the new beta there is way too much empty space. This new approach does not scale well. Please add an option for compact layout.
  2. Hi, It looks like new Web Beta Evernote is taking the wrong turn on many aspects of the work. Sure, it is pretty, but the productivity aspect of Evernote usage has been entirely forgotten in the new design. - Menus are difficult to access rapidely as they collapse immedialtly (menus and notes should work together, not separately) - As lists are given too much vertical margin, it becomes very difficul to scan them - context is getting lost (A note is not an idenpendant object. It's often related to other notes in different notebook. Jumping from one context to another is getting very painfull.) - Notebook cannot be favorited (put it back please!!!) - No alt on icons (do we have to guess what they mean?) - transition effects slow down usage - contrast is too low - etc. In brief, Evernote is moving toward a Writing tool (where moving context away is sometimes usefull to increase focus). It is completely loosing its Organizing aspects, which could be a major NO GO in the future, if the Evernote team decided to apply the same principles to the Desktop version. -M
  3. Hello guys, I am new to Evernote and have a few comments on the new (very much improved and very attractive) Beta for Web interface 1/ when I "go to notes" or get to the main page, I am faced with a blank note ready to be written. This is great for those who mostly use their Evernote to create new notes, but for me, it is FAR more frequent I would be wanting to find an existing note... so this is an irritating time waster. It should be an option, "do you want to start with a new note or viewing the top item in a specific notebook OR view your notes with the top note selected?" Also "go to notes" should mean you go to your notes, surely? It does not say "create a new note"! 2/ when I want to find a particular note, I have to do too many steps. If I click on "Notebooks", I see the nice animation, and the result is to see a list of notebooks on the left of my web page. I then have to click on that list of notebooks to see the list of items within that notebook, THEN click on the note I want... It would be much faster to click on Notes or Notebooks, and by default, the newest item, or most recently viewed item, is displayed by default. The attached image shows what I would like to see when I start evernote... ready to create and browse notes. 3/ it would be great to have keyboard shortcuts to go directly to parts of the interface "N" New "M" Notes "B" Notebooks "T" Tagged "S" Shortcuts (why is it not called "starred"?) Lovely though. I will try for a few more days then upgrade to the premium account. Cheers, Mark.
  4. Hi, I quite agree that the new version is jarring. The serif fonts and the patterned interface disrupt my focus when I switch between (any) productivity apps from apple. Could we change the font to something more iOS 7 and get rid of the distracting pattern? My list of notebooks feels hard to navigate at least the old interface used space to display more, perhaps if the edit let me organize the display level. Putting a' sand dashes in front of names to reorder notebooks feels like an ancient unnecessary technique. I am sure the functionality is all there but losing search instead of announcements I don't need (often if ever) is sure a waste, I feel the interface has squashed up the notes/notebook area into a minimal space and devoted the most valuable stuff (very top and bottom) to pushing stiff at me I seldom need and want instead of stuff I need... Like search. Please provide an option to customize the display to be more iOS 7 esthetically, this is just plain hard to look at. Cheers
Estou voltando a aproveitar as funcionalidades do Evernote a partir do app.
  6. I'm making increasing use of folders to organize my separate projects. Within these, however, I will constantly add clips from web, notes for bigger assignments within that project or source material. The result is that my most important working notes become lost in the list. My suggestion is for an option that allows a note title to be highlighted. I am thinking of how Mac folders work, with multiple colors. For now one color would be sufficient. Even if I make a note a favorite, it does not change the formatting of the title sufficiently in my list for quick identification or access. I didn't expect this to be such a challenge, but when working with source materials the note names start sharing certain words. They become subtle differences of each other and therefore very difficult to pull apart. Another option for solving this would be to add a field in the note list frame. In the same way you can add 'Sync Status' alongside 'Updated' and 'Title', you would be able to add 'Starred' or a 'High Priority'. This would allow for a quick re-ordering of the list between high-priority (working files), medium-priority (support fragments of writing) and low-priority (source material).
  7. Evernote + Skitch are probably two of the most-used tools in my design arsenal. I'm constant clipping bits of site designs, annotating them with Skitch and then dropping them into my Evernote. Generally I'll tag a clip with things that I think will be helpful in the future like "color scheme", "navigation", "typeface" so when it comes time to work on a new design I can easily sift through my collection of clips for inspiration. How do you use Evernote for design inspiration?
  8. When I clip webpages using the Chrome web clipper, the design comes out chopped up. http://img1.uploadsc...022777-orig.jpg Form is missing http://img1.uploadsc...082189-orig.jpg Form is missing http://img1.uploadsc...095031-orig.jpg Content is missing http://img1.uploadsc...123683-orig.jpg Form is missing, lower content is missing http://img1.uploadsc...150164-orig.jpg Nav link bg is misplaced These are screenshots of the screenshots saved by Evernote. Don't get me wrong, I love Evernote! But it seems the web clipper is trying to read/reassemble the HTML/CSS of websites rather than take screenshots. I need exact screenshots for my needs (and therefore will continue to use the desktop version of Evernote). Thanks.
  9. Even within the annals of this forum's relatively short history, I've used Skitch extensively to make quick markups to pass along to our vendor's in-house designers. Marking up wasted space, adjusting font darkness and size for readability and tightening up corners or expanding features all helped me direct without multiple phone-calls and walkthroughs. Way more effective than either a bulleted list or a phone call. Designers on the receiving end like it because, well, they're visual people at heart. Flip open an exact image with notations concerning adjustments, and there's no grey area about what your next steps are gonna be.
