  1. just wanted to throw out a couple ideas... not sure if all are possible, but thought it might be useful to know what the users of Penultimate are wishing for. my two main requests deal with two totally different areas. 1. i find it annoying to have to go into the settings and switch off the Multitasking Gestures everytime i want to take some notes in Penultimate. not sure if apple allows/supports this kind of thing, but a button inside the app to temporarily turn this off would be nice. even better would be to disable the Multitasking Gestures alltogether when Penultimate is in use. 2. this one is more design-based, but i absolutely love the way 53 Paper handles notebook covers. i love that they offer different colors/designs as well as the ability to add your own image to the cover of a notebook. this not only lets you customize to your own style, but also makes it easier to identify specific notebooks when you have a lot of them.
  2. It seems Evernote can't make up their mind about the New Page toolbar. It was in the first version, then came out, came back and now it's out again, replaced by Activity. Of all the thing people do, create new note has to be one of the most common commands. Maybe I have a simple use case, but are Trunk and Activity more important than creating a new note? Alternately, the account size indicator and search box could be made smaller to allow room for more of the high frequency commands. I realize there is a shortcut key for new note, but I'm not a big user of them. I'd really like to see New Note come back and possibly more thought go into the toolbar design and what should be in it. Thanks Tom
  3. Hi all! I've read that Evernote might develop an app that can "create a scrapbook or moodboard – extract notes from a specific notebook and assemble a well-designed scrapbook." Does anyone know of a way to do that now? I run a small t-shirt company and clip designs, illustrations and other inspirations constantly. I would love a way to present groups of notes all on one page. Thanks!
  4. Hello there, I want to use Evernote to keep track of my stuff. The following features are missing to do that well: Save Notes in iPhone app (or desktop app) without title. Sometimes you just want to take a picture of that teapot and add a tag for its location. The standard title "Note without title" is just ugly and just clutters the UI In the desktop app: A view mode that displays all items in a grid with thumbnails, title (if it has one), tags. Without the space for displaying the item! To view the picture bigger or read additional notes etc. one could use the space bar for Quick Look When viewing a note that is only a picture + tags the picture should make use of the whole field. These white borders are just ugly. Or you add a nice background and some border to the pictures (like in Flava or Notica) I think it is clear what I want. I would like to be the Evernote mac app even simpler and more adjustable to that less ambitious purposes like home inventory which just needs picture + tags. Peter Edit: I just noticed the Lion full-screen view. Thats what I meant with grid-view of the notes. We need that design window mode, too. But without the "Note without title"-title and with tags. Additionally it would be great to display all pictures in the same size, no matter if there is additional text in the note or not.
  5. When I clip webpages using the Chrome web clipper, the design comes out chopped up. http://img1.uploadsc...022777-orig.jpg Form is missing http://img1.uploadsc...082189-orig.jpg Form is missing http://img1.uploadsc...095031-orig.jpg Content is missing http://img1.uploadsc...123683-orig.jpg Form is missing, lower content is missing http://img1.uploadsc...150164-orig.jpg Nav link bg is misplaced These are screenshots of the screenshots saved by Evernote. Don't get me wrong, I love Evernote! But it seems the web clipper is trying to read/reassemble the HTML/CSS of websites rather than take screenshots. I need exact screenshots for my needs (and therefore will continue to use the desktop version of Evernote). Thanks.
  6. Even within the annals of this forum's relatively short history, I've used Skitch extensively to make quick markups to pass along to our vendor's in-house designers. Marking up wasted space, adjusting font darkness and size for readability and tightening up corners or expanding features all helped me direct without multiple phone-calls and walkthroughs. Way more effective than either a bulleted list or a phone call. Designers on the receiving end like it because, well, they're visual people at heart. Flip open an exact image with notations concerning adjustments, and there's no grey area about what your next steps are gonna be.
  7. Evernote + Skitch are probably two of the most-used tools in my design arsenal. I'm constant clipping bits of site designs, annotating them with Skitch and then dropping them into my Evernote. Generally I'll tag a clip with things that I think will be helpful in the future like "color scheme", "navigation", "typeface" so when it comes time to work on a new design I can easily sift through my collection of clips for inspiration. How do you use Evernote for design inspiration?
