  1. I just started using Evernote and am finding it very useful, but I find the interface a bit bland. I'd love to be able to assign background colors to individual notes so that they can be grouped/listed by that if desired. I use Evernote mainly to hold client information (names/address/phone etc) for potential appointments for my business before I actually put them on the calendar. As I work in several different areas of the state I live in, having colors would easily identify groups for the different areas. As it is now I have to read the individual notes to see this information, and I'm not much of a speed reader. Colors would speed things up. I can imagine all sorts of scenarios where this feature would be useful
  2. Hi, I use a dark theme on Google Chrome, and due to this the Web Clipper icon is almost invisible (screenshot bellow). I suggest to turn it back to the old green icon (as evertnote.com favicon) or add an option to select color or among some icons in options.
  3. I've been using EN quite a while. Sometimes it drives me crazy, please help resolve the problem. Issue: when I'm copying formatted and colored text from any html page or from Word, Visual Studio to Evernote, sometimes Evernote pasting the text and it has all original colors in it, sometimes I just can't do it. For example: today I've copied some code from Visual Studio to Evernote and I got perfect colors: Then I thought: "Hm... what if I choose red color for text in Evernote (Button "A"), write something and then try to paste THE SAME text from Visual Studio." Since then when pasting there are no colors. I've tried making new note, choose different color in this "A" color button, reopen Evernote. Nothing helps! The text is just plain black after pasting. Doesn't matter what settings, what text Tried CTRL + Space(Simplify Formatting) - won't do. So the question is: I just want the colors when pasting text to Evernote. I know Evernote copies not only text, but its formatting too (from browser for example), but sometimes it just won't work and I can't do anything. What should I do? Please reply. Evernote version 4.5.4.6497 (235205) Public. XP SP3.
  4. Hello all: New to the program but really like it so far. I am very interested in the GeoMap and Tagging ability of the software. Is there a way set visual filters on the map page? For example I want to create notebooks that represent customers. I have different classifications of customers, so I would like to be able to have the ability to display in different colored flags to display specific "notebooks" i.e.. customers. For example I have nursing schools as one customer, and I also have hospitals as another and fire departments as a third. I would like to be able to see one, two or all three sets of flags on the map and have them different colors for differentation. My rationale is that I may be calling or planning on one customer or customer set but at some point I may want to bring in another group that might be in the area. If I have a very high concentration of one group, the map could get very cluttered and this is a way to help organize it. Anyways if anyone knows if this can be done, or something like this I would greatly appreciate it!
  5. I want to use Skitch to grab a section of the screen and then paste the image on top of another image with its background transparent. Pictorially, I want to accomplish Figure 1 (see attachment). (Sorry to use attachments, but the website wouldn't let me directly embed a link to a Droplr-hosted image.) However, all Skitch will let me do is Figure 2 (see attachment). I'm using PNGs. I set the background to transparent in Skitch properties. I even select Image > Background Color to Transparent. All to no avail. What am I missing? Is it possible to designate a color in Skitch as the background and then to make the background transparent?
  6. I'm a lists guy and I love checking things off of my lists. As such, I'm a HUGE fan of the 'to-do' checkbox feature in Evernote. My request is to allow me to change the color of the "checked" box. Thanks! Anthony
