  1. We all hope Web Clipper will return to work as soon as possible under Safari to the Mac. As long as it is missing, there is a workaround using a new feature of Safari under iOS 13. It is working much better in keeping the original page view than the "Export to pdf ..." menu item in Safari 13 on my Mac. Open the page in an iOS device. Make a screenshot (home button: Press on-switch and home at the same time, Face-ID: Press Side-button and volume-up at the same time). Then pick "full page" to the right on top of the screen shot page that is showing. This will create a pdf of the full website you are viewing, not only the part that shows in your screen. You can save it to a folder in the "Files App". If you have this folder inside of your iCloud-Drive, it will share within a few moments into the iCloud-Drive of your Mac for further action. Unfortunately on my iPhone there is currently no option to share the pdf directly into Evernote. This does not replace WebClipper, but does allow to pick pretty accurate pdfs of websites as long as it is missing.
  2. Has anyone else noticed issues with Chrome's clipper interfering with keyboard shortcuts in Gmail? When I have the clipper installed, the shortcuts act like they don't work. If I refresh the page, they do whatever they were trying to do (archive, label, etc.). Even if I go back to my inbox, the changes don't apply until I refresh the page. For me this began on Friday. I'm on a Mac running macOS 10.14.2, Chrome Version 73.0.3683.86 (Official Build) (64-bit).
  3. Evernote Web Cliper extension 7.9.0 in Chrome The Web Clipper used to always put my web captures in my default notebook. Recently it has decided to put the web capture in a notebook it thinks is more appropriate. How do I tell it to stop and revert to the normal method?
  4. Not sure if this is related to the latest update or not. Anyone else using Outlook 2013 (as a part of the installed Office apps) and Windows 10 and finding the outlook clipper is broken? I tend to forward emails these days, so haven't tried the Clipper for a while, but recently it failed on one email, and then the next... and I haven't been able to successfully clip an email since. The full error in the clipper window is I raised a ticket #2753464 and will report outcomes. Interestingly I had extra problems reporting this - in Firefox 64.0.2 (64bit) I filled in the ticket form at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and the 'send' button would not work. Reloaded the page, checked I was logged in and filled in the form. Again. Still no send button action. So I used Vivaldi - no problems. And. Being conscientious I created a note to record all this and keep my clips. Drag and drop into the note didn't work for this image. I had to 'attach' this pic (a 4kb PNG) to the note. My other stats are Windows 10 (1709) and Evernote Desktop 6.17.4.8270 I'll flag this in the release thread for 6.17.4 too, in case anything is related...
  5. I have this web-clipper setting turned on, but it does not seem to be working. I am not seeing related results from Evernote in any Chrome search I do. The box doesn't even appear on the right. I've also had a customer report that it isn't working for them either. Is this a bug? I'm not finding other people reporting this in the forums recently so wanted to ask.
  6. I added https://evernote.com/ per the suggestion of Mettarefuge. That did not work. I would rather not, for security reason, allow a blanket rule to allow third party cookies. Evernote has 5 cookies set on my PC already. I would prefer not to allow a blanket rules for allowing third party cookies as that presents obvious security issues. I hope Evernote can come up with a less drastic solution.
  7. I've observed a extension incompatibility between the Web Clipper and SquareSpace that I wanted to report. Here is the situation: I have a SquareSpace website. They have a feature where I can login to my SquareSpace website by going to my active website and clicking the Escape key (vs going to SquareSpace.com and having to login). This works for me in Fire Fox, but not in Chrome, unless I'm in incognito mode (then it works fine). If I turn off the Evernote Web Clipper, it DOES work in Chrome, and if I turn the Web Clipper back on, it stops working. So there is some incompatibility between the Evernote web clipper in Chrome and this SquareSpace login feature. I have reported it to SquareSpace. They have logged it. They suggested that I also report it to you. So, here you go. As a point of reference, I'm on a Mac and I'm also on the latest version of Chrome. Also, it hasn't always been this way. I've been a customer of both SquareSpace and Evernote for years, and have successfully been able to log into SquareSpace using the Escape key in Chrome with the Web Clipper enabled. I don't know how long it hasn't been working though (it has been a while...I just haven't spent the time to figure out why my desired short cut was no longer working until today). If I had to take a wild guess as to when it broke, I'd guess when the Chrome web clipper went all wacky due to the Google changes and we lost the ability to save our preference of selecting a business account as our default clipped account (btw...will this feature ever be back????).
  8. Hi, I'm using the Evernote Web Clipper on Firefox, and it's still using an old account I set up as a test when I was just learning how to use Evernote. I'm using a different Evernote account now, but I don't know how to log it out of my old account and add my new one. It says it can only be Evernote Business (I have Evernote Plus), but I'm assuming that's just if you want to have multiple accounts running at the same time. What I want to do is get rid of the old account and put in the new one. How can I do that? Thanks in advance!
  9. Hi everyone, Nice to meet you all! I'm the newest member of the Clipper team and I'm pleased to announce that Web Clipper v7.4 has been released on Chrome (download here). We’re very excited to share this release: What’s new? A UI refresh for your Web Clipper experience! While there aren't any functionality changes, we did update the look & feel. Some highlights include: — Modernized the visual language, including the addition of icons next to Clip Types for context — Added a new “Light Mode” theme that can be accessed via Settings — Cleaned up the Settings page so it’s a bit easier to digest — Simplified the Clipped view so that the most relevant pieces are front & center Notable fixes: — Sometimes, when using Article or Simplified Article to clip a page, the entirety of the content would not clip. We fixed that so that you can continue to save your long-reads to Evernote. — Attempting to clip from Twitter would sometimes cause the Clipper to load for far longer than it should — Images within some clipped notes from Google & Instagram didn’t always load. Now they do. — Using the “Full Page” clip mode on Facebook would sometimes cause the created note to miss some content — The cursor would sometimes remove spaces when renaming a Note in the Clipper — Evernote Business users couldn’t always collapse the Spaces section when expanding their Notebook list We’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the refresh, as well as any feedback you may have for our next update. Happy Clipping, Sydney and the rest of the Clipper Team
  10. My Clipper has disappeared. What to do? I have downloaded the Evernote Clipper again through the shop - and the says that it is "downloaded". But I can´t find it. Where is it - help? Usually - you download the Clipper, and it put itself nicely up in the right corner of the browser.
  11. When using the new clipper, I'll add a few tags to a note. Then, I'll want to save the page. The shortcut used to be "cmd+enter", which worked from wherever you were. The new shortcut, however, is "enter". So I'll often hit "tab", then hit enter, which will delete a tag instead! This is because if you press tab, you're now focused on a tag, even though there's no visual indication of this. You'll then hit enter, deleting the tag, then hit enter again, saving it without the tag! Obviously there are a few issues here: 1. Need to visually highlight the tag you're currently on, to make it more visually obvious that pressing enter will delete the tag. 2. Need some way to save an article even while you're in the "tag adding" field. Thanks!
  12. I used my webclipper (windows 10 desktop / Chrome) and it suddenly started saving the same clips 10 to 15 times each. I don't know how to stop this. And now I already used my monthly limit with yet 17 days to go. I'm not happy. How can I solve this?
  13. In Web Clipper options I have selected: "Automatically close clipper." I have deselected: "Show successful clip dialog without Related notes." Still, on every clip the clipper shows me supposedly 'Related Notes' for a few seconds before closing automatically. How can I get rid of that feature? For me it is useless and annoying.
  14. The Evernote Web Clipper Chrome extension is stealing the JavaScript "keyup" events, thus breaking our app. Our customers have been complaining to us and we've finally narrowed it down to this Chrome extension. It is blocking the arrow keys, but also some other random keys, such as "f". I suspect it is blocking all keys that are some kind of shortcuts in this extension. So far, we've reproduced the problem in Chrome, but we have not tested other browsers yet. This is a major problem for our app – we're now recommending that our customers uninstall the Evernote Web Clipper extension. Several already have. Please fix it and release an update ASAP. If there is a workaround for our app or a way to completely block the Web Clipper extension for our site, please let me know.
  15. The Chrome web clipper extension does not clip with simplified formatting even though it is selected. I believe this has been the case since around May 2018 or so. When I then manually simplify the formatting in the note inside the Mac Evernote app, it fails to capture paragraph breaks correctly, so the text gets a little bit jammed together. The Firefox extension works fine with simplified formatting.
  16. I know that Web clipper supports Google for suggestions from Evernote when searching the web, but I was wondering if it supports other search engines as DuckDuckGo. I recently switched to it due to privacy concerns, and I wish I could have that convenience of searching evernote too while doing web searches from DuckDuckGo
  17. Hi evernote-folks, Super-gratitude for all your efforts providing such an amazing service : ) Challenge: I just wiped out 1/5 of my monthly storage allocation saving a post : ( Surely as clipper bundles up the info to send it knows the size prior to sending. Hence it'd be awesome if at the very least it would provide an "ok" dialog for "large" saves to notes. Preferably "large" could be defined in the preferences. Alternatively the size could be provided as pre-save-feedback on the clipper generally. Thanks again! ck P.s. I did indeed scan for this feature as surely it's not a unique request, but * alas * I didn't see it . . .
  18. 我的 web clipper 总是访问 yinxiang.com,导致无法登录。如何修改让他访问 evernote.com?
  19. I've always used article or fullpage as the mode when clipping linkedin profiles because linkedin mode drops some information. However the profile images are always chopped off, i dont really mind that, but I couldn't add the profile image in manually either. Tried converting the note to a pdf, thereafter I could add the image manually but, the pdf has it's content chopped off. So I'm out of ideas on how to clip linkedin profiles with all the information.
  20. Recently Evernote has added a "Evernote" notebook that my clipper saves notes to by default. I then am unable to move or copy this clipped note to any other notebook. I have tried deleting evernote and clipper and reloading and this wont fix the issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated thanks!
  21. Evernote Clipper has stopped working in Safari 11 on the Mac. (Actually it's v. 11.1) I click the Clipper button and nothing happens. I've had to switch to Chrome to make it work but much prefer to use Safari. Has anyone found a fix for this?
  22. Hi Is anyone experiencing the following issue with the latest version of web clipper for Chrome? "It seems the web clipper app doesn't function properly. Screenshots do not capture correctly, showing only part of the image I try to capture. They also appear really poor in quality." Re-install did not help. Is this a know issue to which there is a fix? Thank you!
  23. When trying to clip PDF web pages. This appears to have started after upgrading Windows 10 to V 1803. This is happening with both Firefox and Edge. Reloading the page accomplishes nothing.
  24. Chrome browser. See attached image. How do I fix this? When I click to unselect the "Select All Message" box nothing happens. Can this be fixed? How? I want to clip some of my gmails to evernote. Thanks,
  25. Currently, there is a feature to 'save searches' which allows you to find notes quickly and easily when you know what you're looking for. I find that this same type of feature would be useful when applied to web clippings. When I’m going through articles on Chrome, I clip a lot of articles that I want to further research or read later. Problem is I have to file, tag, and note each one individually. What if I could save certain 'Clip Identities' so that my internet clippings could be pulled and filed much more efficiently? For example, I could clip an article using a saved "Read Later" identity and it would automatically be filed in X notebook with A, B, and C tags. I could then go on to save many more articles with the same settings. The way clippings are now, I have to file and add tags every time I clip an article. When you run through 20-30 articles every morning, this can be a major obstacle to efficiency. Maybe this feature already exists and I don't know about it? Anyone else who would find this helpful?
