  1. When trying to clip PDF web pages. This appears to have started after upgrading Windows 10 to V 1803. This is happening with both Firefox and Edge. Reloading the page accomplishes nothing.
  2. We all hope Web Clipper will return to work as soon as possible under Safari to the Mac. As long as it is missing, there is a workaround using a new feature of Safari under iOS 13. It is working much better in keeping the original page view than the "Export to pdf ..." menu item in Safari 13 on my Mac. Open the page in an iOS device. Make a screenshot (home button: Press on-switch and home at the same time, Face-ID: Press Side-button and volume-up at the same time). Then pick "full page" to the right on top of the screen shot page that is showing. This will create a pdf of the full website you are viewing, not only the part that shows in your screen. You can save it to a folder in the "Files App". If you have this folder inside of your iCloud-Drive, it will share within a few moments into the iCloud-Drive of your Mac for further action. Unfortunately on my iPhone there is currently no option to share the pdf directly into Evernote. This does not replace WebClipper, but does allow to pick pretty accurate pdfs of websites as long as it is missing.
  3. I have installed the Evernote Webclipper App but get this prompt when trying to activate it: Due to the restrictions set by the browser, you cannot clip this page Have looked over Settings but not found where I can configure the settings to make it work?
  4. Chrome browser. See attached image. How do I fix this? When I click to unselect the "Select All Message" box nothing happens. Can this be fixed? How? I want to clip some of my gmails to evernote. Thanks,
  5. I'm a big fan of clipping Wikipedia pages. I have found recently that some embedded images are not rendered in Evernote after clipping. Often these are inline equations in .svg format. See excerpt screen shots of the same content, from the page Tropical Cyclone, and from my clipped page in EN. I am using Windows 10, and this happens in ALL browsers on this platform. Ironically, my iPhone can clip this page perfectly after I request the desktop version. What gives?!
  6. Muchas veces queremos sacar una captura de pantalla a elementos que no alcanzan a entrar en la pantalla. Otras veces queremos que simplemente teniendo un texto seleccionado y haciendo click en el clipper podamos crear una nota con solo ese texto. Many times we want to take a screenshot of elements that do not reach the screen. Other times we want that by simply having a selected text and clicking on the clipper we can create a note with only that text.
  7. I want to clip Math pages with formulas into Evernote. The formulas are rendered by MathJax http://www.mathjax.org/demos/copy-and-paste/ and just disappear when I clip the article : ( This makes the Evernote completely useless for Math, Physics, Chemistry lectures which are available online and rendered with MathJax. I tried now the webclipper in Chrome and Firefox - both don't work.
  8. Hi, I would like to make a feature request. The default behavior of the web clipper is to create a new note with the selected content in a given notebook. A separate note for every little clip is not always necessary. So, why not include an option to append the clipped content to an existing note. It would be somewhat similar to merging 2 notes, only difference being, the process is now automatic and on-the-fly, instead of being manual. PS: Sorry for the poor English. Thanks, The-Droidster
  9. Or better yet, uninstall it, if that is possible. I installed an Evernote update today and discovered that every time I copy text, it's turned into a note in Evernote. Among other things, this can be one hell of a security risk (try copying a password). There's also the fact that this wasn't mentioned during the update installation. And, finally, it's simply annoying. If I can't stop this behavior, then I'll have to go back to an earlier version of Evernote. If that doesn't work, goodbye, Evernote. Thanks to anyone who has an answer.
  10. I find that I cannot use Evernote Web Clipper to save reader comments powered by Disqus. Here are two sample sites demonstrating this problem: http://news.sciencemag.org/health/2014/03/scientists-fix-errors-controversial-paper-about-saturated-fats http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/2014/03/28/295332576/why-we-got-fatter-during-the-fat-free-food-boom There is just a blank area where the reader comments would be. Clearly does the same thing. Selecting All in the Evernote Web Clipper and clipping the selection does not work either. This problem is discussed for Zotero, a program similar to Evernote: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/27314/good-way-to-save-comments-from-website-articles/ So far, the only way I can save these reader comments, which sometimes have more valuable information than the original articles, is by printing the whole article (including the expanded notes section) to a PDF file and saving that on my computer, then attaching it to a new Evernote note. If anyone else has encountered this problem, or has another, more efficient solution, I would like to hear from you. 11. Evernote and web clipper are great products, but they almost never capture embedded twitter posts when using the "simplified article" capture. Capturing twitter posts is an important aspect of how I use evernote for my job. Please fix this.
  12. Hi there, @evernotehelps suggested I post this here – I've recently begun to use the Brave browser (https://www.brave.com/) and so far think it's pretty great. On Safari I'm a big fan of the webclipper and would love to see it implemented for Brave as well. Any chance that might happen soon?
  13. Sometimes I use chrome web clipper to clip some pages to my notes, I could not view the webp images in the note. Just try to clip this page: https://developers.google.com/speed/webp/gallery1 And you can reproduce the issue, you can't see those webp images. Very annoying. I'm not sure this is a clipper problem, I think it might be that Evernote doesn't support webp image. I attached two images, that's how it looks on my web evernote and evernote Mac app, it's simliar on my iOS devices. Could you add support to webp format? I think more and more webp images are used on web now.
  14. I am using Web Clipper 6.10.1(35f63f9)/11.00.926 on Chrome 54.0.2840.99 m and Windows 7 Pro 64.. Every time I look up from my work Web Clipper has that familiar red dot. But actually now that I have click on it to get the above version number it is once again logged in... I am confused this is very different behavior than in the past
  15. Has anyone else noticed issues with Chrome's clipper interfering with keyboard shortcuts in Gmail? When I have the clipper installed, the shortcuts act like they don't work. If I refresh the page, they do whatever they were trying to do (archive, label, etc.). Even if I go back to my inbox, the changes don't apply until I refresh the page. For me this began on Friday. I'm on a Mac running macOS 10.14.2, Chrome Version 73.0.3683.86 (Official Build) (64-bit).
  16. Evernote Web Cliper extension 7.9.0 in Chrome The Web Clipper used to always put my web captures in my default notebook. Recently it has decided to put the web capture in a notebook it thinks is more appropriate. How do I tell it to stop and revert to the normal method?
  17. Apologies if this was already discussed somewhere, but I can't seem to find it anywhere so here goes: Just recently, my laptop's hard drive crashed, and I attempted to save my system files by copying over my Library to an external drive. Attempting to restore my "current" Evernote onto my new drive (by pasting the old Library) worked out fine, however the long list of notes I had stored in the "quick-note"/clipper (on the toolbar) seems to have disappeared, and I don't know where I can recover it — actually, is there a way to recover what was written in the quick-note/clipper? Was there a backup made somewhere? I've located a file named "quick-note-preserved.obj", but I can't seem to open it with anything. Do I have to import it somewhere? If it helps, I'm a macbook pro user, and the application was downloaded from the "app store" on this laptop. Thanks for your help TT.TT Just any way to view the information will do....
  18. Hi, Lately, I'm not able to type question marks and slashes into the "remarks" box of the Evernote web clipper add-on. Other characters show up when I hit their keys but nothing happens for '?' or '/'. This is on Windows 10, Firefox 59.0.2 This is a bug, but there seems to be no other way to report it.
  19. Not sure if this is related to the latest update or not. Anyone else using Outlook 2013 (as a part of the installed Office apps) and Windows 10 and finding the outlook clipper is broken? I tend to forward emails these days, so haven't tried the Clipper for a while, but recently it failed on one email, and then the next... and I haven't been able to successfully clip an email since. The full error in the clipper window is I raised a ticket #2753464 and will report outcomes. Interestingly I had extra problems reporting this - in Firefox 64.0.2 (64bit) I filled in the ticket form at https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and the 'send' button would not work. Reloaded the page, checked I was logged in and filled in the form. Again. Still no send button action. So I used Vivaldi - no problems. And. Being conscientious I created a note to record all this and keep my clips. Drag and drop into the note didn't work for this image. I had to 'attach' this pic (a 4kb PNG) to the note. My other stats are Windows 10 (1709) and Evernote Desktop 6.17.4.8270 I'll flag this in the release thread for 6.17.4 too, in case anything is related...
  20. I've been using the clipper feature for a very long time and I usually access it by using the WIN+SHIFT+S hotkey. Lately, I've noticed that while the clipper comes up, my highlight selection border is red and no clips are made. If I use any other method to clip (chrome extension or right clicking on the Evernote ICON + clip screenshot, it works. Any suggestions?
  21. I have this web-clipper setting turned on, but it does not seem to be working. I am not seeing related results from Evernote in any Chrome search I do. The box doesn't even appear on the right. I've also had a customer report that it isn't working for them either. Is this a bug? I'm not finding other people reporting this in the forums recently so wanted to ask.
  22. Hi. The Evernote Web Clipper doesn't work in the new Gmail. When trying to clip an email, it only saves an "Undefined" page. Is happening in both Chrome and Firefox on the latest version of web clipper. When I switch back to the old Gmail, it works fine. Hoping this can be fixed soon. Thanks
  23. I added https://evernote.com/ per the suggestion of Mettarefuge. That did not work. I would rather not, for security reason, allow a blanket rule to allow third party cookies. Evernote has 5 cookies set on my PC already. I would prefer not to allow a blanket rules for allowing third party cookies as that presents obvious security issues. I hope Evernote can come up with a less drastic solution.
  24. Is there a way to scroll beyond the screen bottom while selecting material with screenshot? Often the section I want to clip is longer than my screen displays. When I drag the box to the bottom of the screen it stops. Similarly, "Simplified Article" will include all the comments which I don't want, so I need to use "Screenshot" to select only the article. If the article is longer than 1 page (screen) I'm stuck. Any help?
  25. I've observed a extension incompatibility between the Web Clipper and SquareSpace that I wanted to report. Here is the situation: I have a SquareSpace website. They have a feature where I can login to my SquareSpace website by going to my active website and clicking the Escape key (vs going to SquareSpace.com and having to login). This works for me in Fire Fox, but not in Chrome, unless I'm in incognito mode (then it works fine). If I turn off the Evernote Web Clipper, it DOES work in Chrome, and if I turn the Web Clipper back on, it stops working. So there is some incompatibility between the Evernote web clipper in Chrome and this SquareSpace login feature. I have reported it to SquareSpace. They have logged it. They suggested that I also report it to you. So, here you go. As a point of reference, I'm on a Mac and I'm also on the latest version of Chrome. Also, it hasn't always been this way. I've been a customer of both SquareSpace and Evernote for years, and have successfully been able to log into SquareSpace using the Escape key in Chrome with the Web Clipper enabled. I don't know how long it hasn't been working though (it has been a while...I just haven't spent the time to figure out why my desired short cut was no longer working until today). If I had to take a wild guess as to when it broke, I'd guess when the Chrome web clipper went all wacky due to the Google changes and we lost the ability to save our preference of selecting a business account as our default clipped account (btw...will this feature ever be back????).
