  8. I'm so tired of sitting at my desk watching the Evernote sync wheel spin. I have THREE computers set up now, so I can do other things while waiting. Since 2010 I have been asking for an audible sound when the sync is done. Please, this is wasting so much of my time and as an Evernote Certified Consultant I just can not justify billing my clients for this time. I can't afford to do it for free, and Evernote so far has not offered to pay me for my time logged waiting for the sync to happen. I work on large numbers of notes, doing group tagging and moving from notebook to notebook, then sharing these notebooks between different EBA's. I have learned that I MUST sync after tagging BEFORE moving, or the tags don't 'stick'. Notebook name changes are the same. Change the name, sync. Share the notebook. Sync. Receive a shared notebook, sync. Evernote doesn't let me do anything while it's syncing so I have to sit and wait and wait and wait. Is anyone else having this problem? Any time I've brought it up with Evernote Support (miss ya Terry O!) they say they are working on making the sync happen faster. Or in the background. Or anything BUT adding a ding! when the sync is done.
  9. Okay, so maybe Evernote Basic or Personal can live without the Ding! at the end of the sync cycle. But how can we have people paid by the hour to get work done - I mean outside of Evernote - using Evernote as a tool, sitting and watching the sync wheel?? Surely this waste of time negates the benefit of using a business application intended to save time. I'm so tired of sitting at my desk watching the Evernote sync wheel spin. 10. You should add in a feature that allows you to pin a certain note to the top of the notebook if you wanted. This would allow the user to keep a template or certain key notes that they want to have handy at the top of the scroll. Thanks!
  11. As a Business user I want to get an overview of last edited notes grouped by collegues. At the moment I can perform any query (i.e. "updated:day-3" for all changes of the last 3 days) - but i cannot search for a specific author or changer's name. But even if this would be possible, I would prefere to see the "last edited by" information of every note within the Top List. This is possible for the field Author - but not for "last edited by" which is much more of interrest in a team environment.
  12. Please provide me with a document or an URL for doing integration to Create , Update and Delete USERS or give me a confirmation for Evernote does not support these operation. I am looking for Evernote REST APIs to integrate Evernote to my app. My requirement is that 1. I should be able to authenticate Evernote with my app. Are there any OAuth Based authentication supported? I am also looking for Evernote SDKs or REST APIs. Are these APIs available for Evernote or Evernote Business?
  13. Is there a way to share a Stack with an individual rather than to have to share each notebook within the stack?
  14. Hi, I am trying to see if EN can be used for my company, I had been using the single person vision for two years now. My question will be: I got 5 users, each has different role, three of us need to have access to all the shared notes while two other person should only have access to their own departement/notes. Is this possible? I don't want to sign up just to find out I can't do that. Thanks
  15. Does anyone have a direct email or telephone number for Customer Support. I submitted a help ticket through the online form and get a ticket number and a auto responder email but the problem has never been taken up by Help Desk. I need some answers and would like to contact them directly. Thanks in advance.
  16. This is something that just started on my pc. Evernote has been crashing and when I go to task manager I find this .exe running. Evernote will not restart until I shut down: Evernoteclipper.exe Evernoteplayer.exe evernotetray.exe Once I shut these three evernote will start again. Windows 10 - 1709 - Evernote 6.8.7.6387
  17. I regularly share notes with other people/clients. Problem is not all want to receive note in evernote ie dont want to download program (eg my wife!) for whatever reasons(try to avoid domestic). They just want document/pdf as per normal email attachment. Is ther a simple way of just dragging copy of file to my desktop where I can send as attachement from any email program to another person or back up file to my hard disc. HAve tried public share but cannot see the result. ie I want to be able to move files out of evernote to send to clients as a normal attachement if needed. If I can do it can it be done on phone & ipad as well as desktop (all apple).
  18. I make frequent use of the email account Evernote assigns me to add emails and other documents to my personal account. Is there a way to get another @m.evernote.com address to send to my default Business notebook? I COULD append the subject line with @[NameOfBusinessNotebook], but my Business notebook names have spaces and numbers and so are not easy to send to by this method, especially since I'm usually using this method on a mobile device. Thanks, Tim
  19. Would it be possible to add Business Plan Canvas, Lean Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas as paper in the app? I have tried to add it as a custom by myself but it works really badly. I know that many entrepreneurs would appreciate having these inside the app.
  20. I've been using Evernote for years. For a long time I had only a Premium Personal account. Then I convinced a company I was working with to try out Evernote Business, which they did, and now have all their employees on board with it. So now I have a business+personal account with Evernote. When we first did this, all notebooks were more or less in the same view, with business notebooks marked as "business". Then, Evernote rolled out the segregated context-view that completely isolates business from personal notes/notebooks. This change has been nothing but a headache for me. Evernote has never had the most fluid UX. It has always felt a little clunky/cluttered/bloated, but you could get used to it after using it for years as I have. The business/personal context isolation has added another full layer of bloat. A few examples: Command+N to add a quick note? Better hope you're in the right context, or that personal thing you jot down just went into your shared Business folder. (this happens to me ALL THE TIME!) before the segregation, I could have ALL new notes go to an Inbox, and then move them to business notebooks as I like Using the menu helper quick note and/or the web clipper? Same problem: no way of knowing where the note is going to end up unless you check with the Evernote app first, which defeats the purpose of the menu helper. Need to switch to a notebook REAL FAST because you're on a call and need to reference something on the fly? Command+J to switch, type the first few letters of the notebook, and WHOOPS that's a personal notebook and I'm currently in the Business context. Now I need to remember that arthritic keyboard shortcut to switch to Personal, then Command+J to get the notebook, and ***** I forgot what it was I was looking for in the first place. Force press to add quick note on iOS? Your guess is as good as mine as to where it's going to end up. Need to check a note REAL QUICK while talking to someone in a conference and "Hey I wrote it down, hold on just a sec" .. pull out phone tap Evernote , back out of random note currently in display, tap notes, scroll, can't find it ok tap search, type in something in the note, "NO RESULTS", oh ***** it's because I'm in Personal and that note was in Business, ok umm, tap Account, tap Personal account, tap search again, type the same query all over, oooh there it is, now what was I talking about again?, oh they left and talking to someone else now. Basically everything in Evernote suddenly became a MINIMUM 2-step process: select the context (wait which context was that again?), then do whatever it was you were doing, all while trying to remember what you're ACTUALLY working on. By the way, I use Evernote because I want it to SUPPORT my work, not BECOME my work — I need to be able to take notes and query notes FAST, and without having to make some kind of arbitrary context-switch in my head in the process. FIX IT! I've been whining about this to @evernote and @evernotehelps on Twitter for a while and have been mostly ignored.
  21. OSX, 6.8 Beta2. I was just added to a business account, and now I appear to be stuck with the new notebook view (horrendous thing that it is) with my Personal notebooks (and yes, the option is unchecked in Preferences). Is this a bug or intended? And is there any way to use the old view with Business notebooks? The single column view makes absolutely no sense to me, it adds so much complexity to both visualizing and getting at my notes.
  22. Getting a red exclamation on my samsung 8 with a note I created. Not syncing with my windows laptop. How do I get this fixed without losing data?
  23. I have a new job, and they use Dropbox extensively. I want to sell them on using Evernote, but didn't know if we could drag and drop the existing file structure from Dropbox into Evernote. From there we can add tags, and exploit the other functionality of Evernote. If we can't, I don't think I can convince them to use Evernote. Has anyone converted from Dropbox?
