  1. Hi - I currently use Evernote primarily as a searchable document repository for my small business. I want to be able to give access to a few separate users - it won't be many probably 3 including myself. However I do want these users to have different levels of access. I have one employee who will need to see documents in certain notebooks that will assist them in their day to day tasks. But I want to have separate notebooks that will contain all of the company financial and accounting information, which I do not want that employee to see but I do want to give access to my accountants. If I do upgrade from personal to business, is there a simple path to take the existing data I already have in the personal database into the business one? Thanks in advance
  2. Two Items specifically: 1. Be able to nest tags for organization purposes (i.e. - If I want a tag for each department, let me nest them under a top level hierarchy tag called "Departments" 2. Ability to lock down the creation and modification company wide so only Evernote admins (or other select people) can create or change Tags. I'm worried I'll end up with a billion random and closely related tags because employees mistype or slightly change (i.e -use a plural instead of a singular: 'New Designs' vs. 'New Design')
  3. I have about 5-6 business notebooks with about 7k notes in each, some containing large files. I arrange my files by a tag, and so when I select the tag in the 'search notes' box, it quickly finds the tag i'm looking for, but after I select it, it could take 30-60 seconds to wait until all the notes are pulled up. I'm using a Mac Sierra OS version 10.13.4 and the update mac software. It's getting to the point I can't use the software because of this lag. I would try the online site , but apparently you can't search by tag yet on the new portal. Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions? Thanks. I emailed customer service and they seemed to say they were working on it....
  4. Prior to the splitting of EN Personal and EN Business I was easily able to forward emails into my default notebook in EN and then quickly file that email/note into whichever notebook I wanted. Since the split of EN Personal & Business I am now only able to forward emails to my default Personal Notebook. Which means in order to move that email into a business notebook I have to open up my personal account click the note and then move it into my business default notebook. This isn't ideal... I would very much like to have a EN forwarding email address whereby I could easily forward certain emails directly into my default "business notebook"
  5. Will someone kindly fix what should be a minor issue for a company the size of Evernote? This is simply annoying.
  6. It would be nice if I could instantly get to work chat from the sidebar like I can find notes and other features.
  7. It would be a great feature, as I am using work chat more and more with my team, if you could name the work chat feed. ie. Marketing, planning, leaders, etc. It would be a great help. I can do this on my message with iOS and it is a great feature there.
  8. I use (free) Evernote via browser (company IT block the installation of the application), but it has become increasingly glitchy. I tend to use Chrome, but even with IE (11) it just hangs for the longest time, eventually providing a message to the effect of (paraphrasing) "This page is unresponsive -- wait or kill". It has gotten to the point that it has made the use of Evernote impossible. Any suggestions to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
  9. I'm using the Evernote business version at work (Windows version, 6.4.2.3788). Everytime I create a new note, it is automatically put in the wrong notebook. I searched how to change this and I found a solution that is not working, atleast not anymore. The solution I found said: Windows From the left sidebar, select Notebooks to display the notebook list Right-click on the the notebook you would like to set as your default Select Properties... from the pop-up menu Select the checkbox labeled "Make this my default notebook" When I right-click the Notebook I want, and choose properties, the only checkbox I get is: "Sync this notebook to my computer" with a dropdown menu, and "Sync notes now" There is no "make this my default notebook" Other information given in this box is: Shared by: company name You can: view notes and make changes Any tip to where I can change my default notebook?
  10. Evernote won't open full height. I always have to maximize it / fit to screen (height and width) manually every single time I open it. Evernote seems to ignore my fit-to-screen preferences. I noted it a few months ago but only now I'm reporting the bug. Is this happening only to me?
  11. I must be missing something pretty obvious... Using beta ver 6.0.3 and I can't seem to find a way to move single (or multiple) notes from a Personal Notebook to a Business Notebook. What have I missed? Help appreciated. Regards, Ian

  15. I would love to use Evernote at work, but uploading meeting minutes and other confidential data to the cloud is not an option. Therefore, we would like to host our own Evernote server on our premises. We're a fast growing company with 1k+ employees.
  16. Fala galera, nem sei se é aqui que posta, me corrijam por favor. Eu sou um usuário intenso do evernote, mas não gosto de utilizar ele no pc/smartphone, eu gosto mesmo é de guardar nota no papel, tipo Woody Allen. Esses aparelhos eletrônicos me distraem e acabo perdendo o foco muito fácil do assunto, sim sou igual a galera aí toda, ansioso, mal do século.
  17. I trying to figure out how to make a chart /table from my tablet or phone app. Is there away of doing it . I know I could do on my pc when I open up the icon? Thank you for your time btw I have the basic . Laura
  18. I have recently signed up as a Premium user and right away I started experiencing an issue with Evernote. I have tried on many occasions to make contact with the South African Consultants, but no one has responded. I am unable to properly use Evernote now and would like to rectify the problem or cancel my subscription and receive a refund. I have searched and searched for a contact mail for Evernote overseas/locally and a for a local contact number, but to no avail. Please help, I am beyond frustrated ! thanks
  19. After the upgrade on Friday I am unable to click on shortcuts? Did they take away the feature? Is it a bug? There's no way to submit a support ticket as a free user.

  21. I understand the motivation for splitting the Personal and Business experiences in Evernote, but the current compromised approach isn't working. None of my Applescripts for importing and organizing content work properly anymore because the "wrong" account is often open and Evernote does not currently provide a way to define the account in Applescripts. Using Personal and Business content at the same time is impossible/extremely difficult. Growth and innovation in Business are handcuffed by limitations in Personal (the new Spaces are a small step in Business-specific innovation, but much more is needed). Etc. I have 6000 Personal notes and run an academic research laboratory entirely through Evernote Business (>5000 notes in our first 4 years). The current compromised approach to splitting Personal and Business just isn't working. Please rip the band-aid off and go with a full split between Personal and Business!
  22. I'm so tired of sitting at my desk watching the Evernote sync wheel spin. I have THREE computers set up now, so I can do other things while waiting. Since 2010 I have been asking for an audible sound when the sync is done. Please, this is wasting so much of my time and as an Evernote Certified Consultant I just can not justify billing my clients for this time. I can't afford to do it for free, and Evernote so far has not offered to pay me for my time logged waiting for the sync to happen. I work on large numbers of notes, doing group tagging and moving from notebook to notebook, then sharing these notebooks between different EBA's. I have learned that I MUST sync after tagging BEFORE moving, or the tags don't 'stick'. Notebook name changes are the same. Change the name, sync. Share the notebook. Sync. Receive a shared notebook, sync. Evernote doesn't let me do anything while it's syncing so I have to sit and wait and wait and wait. Is anyone else having this problem? Any time I've brought it up with Evernote Support (miss ya Terry O!) they say they are working on making the sync happen faster. Or in the background. Or anything BUT adding a ding! when the sync is done.
  23. Okay, so maybe Evernote Basic or Personal can live without the Ding! at the end of the sync cycle. But how can we have people paid by the hour to get work done - I mean outside of Evernote - using Evernote as a tool, sitting and watching the sync wheel?? Surely this waste of time negates the benefit of using a business application intended to save time. I'm so tired of sitting at my desk watching the Evernote sync wheel spin. 24. You should add in a feature that allows you to pin a certain note to the top of the notebook if you wanted. This would allow the user to keep a template or certain key notes that they want to have handy at the top of the scroll. Thanks!
  25. As a Business user I want to get an overview of last edited notes grouped by collegues. At the moment I can perform any query (i.e. "updated:day-3" for all changes of the last 3 days) - but i cannot search for a specific author or changer's name. But even if this would be possible, I would prefere to see the "last edited by" information of every note within the Top List. This is possible for the field Author - but not for "last edited by" which is much more of interrest in a team environment.
