  1. Before Version 6.0.5.1723 both my personal and my business notebooks showed in the left pane. This made it easy to create a note in my personal side, and then move it to the business side when appropriate. With the new way, it seems I can only have the personal or the business showing but not both at the same time. Any way to change back to the old way of viewing notes? I start quotes in my personal side, and change to orders and move note at that time into the business side. I hope this is not a "feature" that has been removed to make it better. :>( Rick
  2. I would love to see a feature added to Evernote for reordering a list. For example, if I wanted to keep a list of to-do items in the order in which they are to be done, it would be great if I could re-order the items in that list more easily that by cutting pasting items from one place in the list to another. If there were a drag-and-drop tool that make it clear where an items would inserted when dropped, it would make this sort of sorting much easier and faster. Evernote presently supports drag and drop of text, but this does not operate to reorder the list.
  3. Wouldn't it be great when the main search button would search the deleted notes inside the paperbasket too ?!?
  4. Hey Everyone, We recently changed the way re-naming Shared Notebooks work, which will particularly affect Shared Business Notebooks. See this thread for more info:
  5. Hello I wanted to upgrade to premium but my payment details are being assigned to an expired email address. Could someone at Evernote get in touch to explain how to remove defunct email addresses off the account. I'v spent countless hours trying to do it from the account but with a defunct email it's obviously impossible to confirm actions! Andrew Jackson andrew@gatefarm.co
  6. Hi, I enjoyed sharing my personal notebooks with clients as a project management tool. I upgraded to Business Evernote, and this feature seems to be removed? How can I share my notebooks with a url? I can create a url for an individual note, but not for a notebook. Thanks for the input. I am considering canceling my business subscription because of this. Ty
  7. This is an advice for the Business community: Export Notes and Attachments on a regular basis if you don't want to lose ALL your business notes. Read this and you will understand how my business has lost 15 thousands notes because of EN payment failure. Even if the title reflects my current thoughts about EN, its not mine... Jeff
  8. So, if we remove a joined Evernote Business User, @example.com what happens next? Does the user still have access to their Evernote account using our @example.com? Do they still have access to their personal notebooks under @example.com account? Thanks in advance, Jonathan
  9. Just to restart the discussion (if not done so in other threads ;-): Professional users often have to follow IT policies that simply ban the use of uncrypted cloud storage. So there are thousands of employees in small and larger teams that really would like to use EN business - but cannot do so. Is it really that hard (for EN) to crypt notebooks on servers? Even if this would work only with a specific type of clients, this would help a lot: work groups normally use one type of clients (Windows). I cannot see any disadvantages because syncing a database always transferres the complete notebooks to the Windows client. Search functionality is provided on client site. A user might crypt his own (local) without loosing anything. This is the current data transport path: Client -> SSL-encryption -> Internet -> SSL-decryption -> Server (an vice versa) What we need is (1): Client -> SSL-encryption -> Internet -> SSL-decryption -> AES-encryption -> Server and Server -> AES-decryption -> SSL-encryption -> Internet -> SSL-decryption -> Client or (2 - event more secure?) Client -> AES-encryption -> SSL-encryption -> Internet -> SSL-decryption -> Server and Server -> SSL-encryption -> Internet -> SSL-decryption -> AES-decryption -> Client Or (other possibilty at all): Why isn't it possible to buy (or lease) EN server software to execute it on (company-)internal hardware (inside local or VPN-secured wider networks)? This is possible with Microsoft Sharepoint and OneNote... Going this way, many companies would have no problem with EN because it allows to store any data inside country borders. In Germany (or whole Europe) there are masses companies looking for cloud services that grant to store data only local sites (and not in the US).
  10. I want to print a bunch of notes I've created. I'd like them to have the "date created" information that displays with the note on the screen. When I print the notes, that date information doesn't appear. This seems crazy. Does this mean I need to manually write the date in if I want it to appear when I print the note out?
  11. Feature request: Let me say I hhave been requesting this since 2013, and the response has fairly consistantly been, "would you not want us to just make the sync faster?" Well, trying to do anything while syncing is crazy making. My database is huge. I mean really huge. Synchronizing takes a long time, and if I do too much work in my Evernote, bad things can happen. So I sync often. I would like a sound to happen when sync finishes. I would also like some way of knowing when (time and date) that the latest sucessful sync occurred. Pleeze?
  12. I had a number of Business notebooks in my account prior to my company deactivating it. They then reactivated it two days later and all my notebooks were gone. However, the ones I shared can still be seen by the people I shared them with, making me think that notebooks are floating around somewhere in the abyss. Does anyone know how to get notebooks back?
  13. We had a personal account, which we upgraded to Evernote business. We had consistent, serious syncing issues, that Evernote was unable to resolve, which is why we cancelled our service. There is info that we'd like to have access to that we had in Evernote Business and are considering trying their service again. Is there any way to regain access to what we had in Evernote. And, how have they improved their system?
  14. There is a lot of press in recent months focusing on Evernote's demise. I am sure some of it is speculation and based on limited financial reporting. Evernote's has lost its leadership as the 'Remember Everything' best in class' digital company. Paid subscribers are your revenue stream, and I can say for several years the new releases of products and enhancements to existing ones is why I renewed my subscription. What changed was the constant technical issues that arose in the core products (e.g., Evernote for Windows, iOS). I am an optimist and believe that you can regain what you lost. However, it will take the courage to stop making assumptions about what users need. My needs have changed since 2012, and I am looking for solutions that improve my productivity as well as simplify my life. A good place to start is to inform us about what you are thinking, and you will receive great ideas. Be willing to show some courage by communicating and help set our expectations. If you do this, your paid base of users will grow. Sincerely, Rob Kemp Ps You have an opportunity in the Windows 10 market. Pull the current Evernote Touch app and reintroduce it when you are ready for prime time. Enhance Evernote for Windows 10 so it has the same quality features and performance as Evernote for MAC OS X.
  15. I have put together a form that our field reps are using, most will fill out in the field and share in real time. Others will print off the form and take aphyusical copy with them. When they go to print off the form, only the first page of the three page document prints. Any thoughts?
  16. When we upgraded to Evernote Business we couldn't make stacks for our business labels. This was a disappointment. Only personal labels can be stacked.
  17. i used evernote account, and i want to share document to my couluage . how to used it
  18. I love Evernote, I do. I've been using the personal version daily for years. It's perfect for storing ideas, thoughts, task reminders and check lists – all constant needs in personal life. Storing info, insights, tasks – all even bigger needs in business life. Awesome! I was considering signing us up today... but without something as simple as concurrent collaborative notes? Everything down to a simple work meeting? I can only imagine the headache of having to go back in after the meeting and merge 10 different "conflict" versions. Two people working on a project together checking off tasks? One doesn't know the other is done until it updates. I just paid somebody to do a task his coworker already completed. Building a knowledge database? If one employee has a great sales pitch phrase and wants to go add it to the list, they don't even know somebody else is already viewing and working on that note. Conflict and time wasted rebuilding the database. Day after day after day. Genuinely, this isn't meant as a rant. It's really not. We'd love all the other features Evernote offers, but for now we don't have much choice but to stick with a folder organized google docs / sheets. The paid version of google for business is $5 with 30GB storage, email accounts, live collaborative sheets/docs, calendaring, tasks. It's capable of storing info and ideas as docs and sheets. It can store and link to any file type. You can store files offline. Everything is indexed and searchable. Chat (and video chat). Security, access, and admin controls. People with personal google accounts can switch back and forth between accounts (by the way that's a feature free even in standard accounts). 24/7 support. Sound familiar? Evernote Business is trying to fill similar needs... right? Right now Evernote Business is $12 per user per month. That's 2x more than Google and from what I can tell, what we're getting Evernote's superior organization scheme and searching text within images/PDFs. I'd even consider paying Evernote a fee on top of our Google accounts. But with the massive monetary time loss to click by click rebuilding databases and notes? Right now, without live collaboration Evernote Business would hurt our business, not help it. I could be wrong, but it seems that would be the case for most businesses. Google offers live collaboration for free on all it's accounts, personal and business. It's not some upgrade. That's why it's used by students collaboratively taking notes in a lecture. Companies creating reports and presentations. As a long time personal user of Evernote, I know Evernote could be a MUCH better solution to those notes, info, and presentation needs. Evernote could become the platform students and businesses turn to for info. But for now, I guess I'll just keep using it for limited personal use.
  19. I've tried searching with little success. I freelance as a small business cloud technology consultant. I've already sold a client on using Evernote for Business for helping to manage their invoices (they love it, btw). I know with other SaaS platforms (i.e. Google Apps/Office 365), they have a partner network where a reselling partner benefits from selling their services. Does Evernote having something similar?
  20. Hi, I'm running a small company, and we're sorta using Evernote for everything, none of us can't seem to live without it. And we've found a way to integrate Evernote both for personal and business use. So far so good. But now i'm on my way of starting another business, totally separated from my other one, and i have one question. Is there any way, best practice or such for running two companies within the same Evernote account? Or do i have to "add another account" and switch back and forth? I want to be able to: * Create business notebooks and choose for which company the notebook should apply. * Invite colleagues who can only view information concerning the business they are with. * And for me and the main reason that i want to do this - i should be able to use, view, create and edit everything from both businesses from within the same account. * Maybe even separate invoices. I guess this isnt possible, but would be great. Since i'm already using it for my personal and professional life, it would be annoying to go search for another option for our new company, or the need to sign in / out all the time. Since i'm gonna work 50/50 with these two. Any help or point in the right direction is highly appreciated. Kind regards! / Oscar
  21. Hi, Yesterday we received an email that our business account is deactivated. The annual bill was paid on 12/15/2015 (Invoice #INV93252). I have opened a ticket but not heard back yet (1390114). We need access to our notes and want to know if we have made any mistake in renewing? Why is the account deactivated? Thanks.

  23. I helped a client out the other day to switch from Personal to Business. The onboarding to get his account to Business was no problem, also updating the Windows version to the Business version went smooth. After we worked through the Business console and the Business view I explained how he could transfer personal notebooks to business notebooks with just one right click. We started with a notebook and ofcourse, this went as expected, the whole notebook was transferred to a business notebook. But there was one caveat... He uses an extensive taggingstructure with nested tags and after the conversion, we saw the following The nested tags that are used in the given notebook were unnested and became a top level tagTags with the same name as the "business" tags are still nested since they are also used in other personal notebooks (not yet converted)Business tags are extended with the text "(businessname)"So this was quite a surprise, to see the whole nested structure fall apart and no way to get this back except manual dragging and dropping. Can somebody explain why this happens and if there is a fallback scenario to keep these tags in the nested structure when someone switches to Business after using Evernote Premium with several teammembers and already built a way of working? Has anyone experienced a situation like this and has a good solution? Thanks Frank Meeuwsen
  24. Hi, I am leaving my workplace where I used evernote as a way to keep track of email conversations. This information is , of course, the property of my employers. I have downloaded the notebook into their files. My boss is not familiar with how to upload this information into her computer and her copy of evernotes. Can someone direct me to a step by step process of how to upload that file into the proper place for evernotes? Thanks, River
  25. Hi, I figured out that the evernote clipper outlook plugin (combined with outlook 2016) is causing a 'lock' on saved .msg files. This means I can't open a saved .msg twice within a short periode of time. However, when I disable this plugin I don't encounter this problem. This is quite annoying while within our firm multiple users have access to these saved .msg files which causes lots of file locks and with this restricts access to required correspondence. Is this a known issue? And is there a workaround for this problem yet? Kind regards, AntonH
