  1. Weird stuff going on. As far as I can tell, after I installed the latest EN upgrade, none of my business notes or notebooks appear to be shared anymore when I am in the desktop version of EN for Mac. The square notebook icons show NO little "crowd" icons at the bottom corner, even though I know I shared some notes and notebooks with one or two of my team members. But on the desktop version of EN if I click on my business name, all my notebooks have the little grey "crowd" icon and they all have a ZERO next to them. So that's confusing. I thought the little grey crowd icon meant the notebook had been shared, but then the zero is saying it hasn't. Anyone else having these issues? I am not sure I'm posting this in the proper forum so I will also post in the genera discussion forum. Thanks!

  4. Considering Evernote for Business, but we'd like all communication within our company to be stored someplace centrally for archival and retrieval by admins. Does Evernote for Business allow me to archive/retrieve ALL work chats for my company from the Admin panel? Or are Work Chats stored locally for each user on their device only?
  5. I was on here a couple of months ago because I had spent $1000 between Evernote Business accounts and a Evernote scanner. 2 MONTHS ON THEY STILL DON'T WORK. I live in the UK so between the time zone difference and non responsive support, I have traded, on average ONE email EVERY TWO DAYS with "support". By the way, I still can't turn on Linkedin integration or it crashes my machine!!!!!! I collect a lot of business cards and bought the scanner for the main purpose of the fraudulently sold integration of Linkedin. I also expected that after spending so much of my hard earned cash with these clowns, I would get $1000 worth of service. I haven't. My 2 month odyssey ended with TERRY O sending me a WORK AROUND, which was basically don't use the business card function and store all BUSINESS CARDS IN A PERSONAL ACCOUNT!!! You have to understand that for over a month so that I could scan stuff, they had me using an alternate account, which I transferred all the notes from the other day. Well, all my notes came in but were NOT in notebooks so I SPENT A DAY MOVING THEM AND CREATING NEW NOTEBOOKS IN MY OLD ACCOUNT. I have reinstalled snapscan and evernote dozens of time, and as of TODAY I still can't turn on Linkedin integration!!!!! SUPPORT IS NONEXISTANT, PRICES ARE EXTREME FOR WHAT YOU GET, DO NOT START USING THIS SYSTEM FOR YOUR BUSINESS UN;ESS YOU WANT TO PAY TO BE A BETA TESTER.

  7. How do I access all my company's shared notebooks? There is a notebook my boss and asked me to go join, and in the typically web version you would simply click on the company name in the left hand tool bar and all the notebooks you could join would appear. In beta, there is no company name in the left hand toolbar. What's the best way to get around this?
  8. I was doing some testing with Evernote/Salesforce integration through the Salesforce1 app. I am unable to add a note through Opportunity > Evernote Business. Is this because I have a free license? Can users only add notes through Salesforce1 if they have an Evernote Business account? So far the testing has been going well through the browser.   10. I have been using the premium part of Evernote for about a month now. I have been able to migrate all the files from the business (invoice, estimates, payments, statements, etc.) to the premium account. What is really nice, now I want to do more with Evernote, but want to receive suggestions or have you thought of from others in the Evernote community? I want have my employees who work in field operations to have access to Evernote through iPhones, iPads, and laptops. This would be to allow them to take photographs upload in to the default area of the account. Then to be able to use the note features of the account. And then move to where they could pull up fillable PDF forms, complete them, file them back in to Evernote as well as get the customer to sign the document. Let me give a simple, but similar process. A customer calls, a time and date are scheduled for the appointment. The field operator arrives, discusses the project or work with the customer – takes pictures with either an iPhone, Ipad or with a digital camera. While talking with the customer, to be able to make notes – either directly with Evernote or through another application such as Penultimate that the field guys can use on the ipad. Then all this information is uploaded in to Evernote, by each user and accessible. With regards to what has been loaded, they will need to have access, but not have it readily available all the time. They should be able to search it, but not have it on the synched with the iphones and ipads as with the premium account. I have not found any way for the users to not carry all the files in the premium account with them all the time. If anyone has come across any other references, then please share them as I am in the early stages of planning for Evernote integration with my business. thanks in advance - and looking forward to good questions or responses.
  11. Hi, Recently my payment card changed (new number , info ect) and I suppose my billing cycles failed given the fact that my old payment info was there. I do not remember seeing any notification or warnings from evernote in regards to my account, but that was a different topic and, admittedly, I haven not sifted through all my mails. So I just recently "re-subscribed" to Business with my new card info and was hoping to just have all my folders and data in place as it was. I have given it some time, and so far... nothing. My buisness environment is still not coming up after trying a couple log off / log on and syncs. Does this just typically take some more time to process or did I just loose all my Business Folders, Data, and Environment?
  12. I have deactivated a business user that has left my company. I made the assumption that the user will not have access to the business notes but that the notes remained with the business. I did not, however, see the instructions that I needed to backup the users notes before deactivating. The notes are lost! Is there a way to recover them?
  13. I am currently scanning a huge pile of business cards for my boss and thought I might be able to use scannable to save some time. I have scanned the first few cards but now want to export them into numbers (apple's version of excel) which I already have downloaded onto phone, however the option to do this is greyed out on the share menu. Do I need to connect them somehow? Or is this a premium feature I need to pay for? Thanks in advance for your help.
  14. Hi all, New to the forum and tried searching around a bit with no luck. I'm curious if anyone knows if Evernote intends to add assignable task functionality to the Evernote Business suite of features. While Evernote is an able project management solution now, it would become one of the best around with this feature. What is more, in my context assignable tasks are a 'must'. Thanks in advance for any tidbit offered!
  15. I recently left my old job and shortly thereafter I left my evernote business account. When I left the account I lost all of my personal notebooks as well. Anybody else have this problem? Help?! When I tried to contact Evernote support they directed me here because I am no longer a "premium" account.

  17. This has been going in since August when I expressed my desire to be removed from Evernote APAC/ SEA team's e-mail list. Should I mention the names of the 'specialists' who keeps sending me e-mails? I created a ticket with Evernote.com; they said I should uncheck the communication preferences from my profile settings - which I have!!! I created 2 more tickets following the continuous assault since August, Evernote.com has chosen to ignore my tickets. I don't know how things work in America. But in Hong Kong, sending unsolicited e-mails and ignoring the person's unsubscribe request is a serious breach of the communications protection framework. The reason why I don't want Evernote sales people to talk to us is because: 1. The Evernote APAC team conducts seminars in Chinese (Our team of mostly expats don't read/ speak fluently). 2. The Evernote system/ sharing methods doesn't work with in our corporate environment. 3. Evernote Business has refused to offer us some trial accounts back in May 2013 when we were exploring various vendors. Salesforce, Basecamp, Atlassian, and some other startups have all been able to provide some means of evaluation. 4. Our current solution is working really well, I don't foresee us changing platforms for the next 3 years, we signed SLAs with your competitors. We've written all our staff guides and training materials already. The content of their e-mails are always the same: workshops/ seminars/ meetups/ corporate events in Hong Kong. Who do I need to speak to get myself removed??

Hello Guys, I'm new to EN since a week, first premium and know i'm setting up the business-account so we can start swiftly after the holiday's. after searching the forum I still have these questions. I'm using the latest Dutch EN versions on Windows en IOS When I use the clip button "Ad To EN" in outlook 2013, and start typing in the field a "label/tag" I only get suggestions referring to my personal tags. Is it possible to get suggestions from the business labels as well? Also I Can not change the destination notebook in "the EN windows version". I will by default go back to my (standard ) personal inbox . How can I change it permanent? 3 times my IOS devices ( ipad and iPhone ) showed " evernote has stopped unexpectedly " followed by (send report) or not . These options are not selectable ( frozen) . the only thing I can do is remove the app en install again . and of course are the OS of these devices up to date.   19. I have tried following the other forum requests for this. I have a PC and am using a business account. I have made a personal note and want to move it into my shared business folder. I have tried right clicking on the personal note, and get a list that doesn't have anything about moving notes. I can edit, email, print or open in a separate window. Can someone explain easily how to move them as this should be a basic feature and is very odd that someone hasn't fixed this considering its a NOTES product and if you can't move them easily it makes the product a very odd thing indeed. Makes me wish I had a paper and a pen PLEASE HELP !!!

  22. I'm the admin for my company's EB account. We have about 20 users right now. Here are some of the problems we're having: 1) Poor discoverability of company-shared notebooks I started with a couple basic company shared notebooks. One for HR-related content, one for fun photos taken around the office. Neither of them has attracted any users to join without my prompting them. When I've asked, most folks, even heavy EN users, had no idea the notebooks existed. Is there a way to make company-wide notebooks easier to discover? 2) Can't rename notebooks globally This has already been covered elsewhere on the Forum, but just wanted to point out this has been a pain point for us. https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/34123-anyone-know-how-to-rename-a-business-notebook-for-everyone/ 3) Which notebooks are shared and with whom? The left-hand sidebar list of notebooks doesn't indicate which notebooks are shared. Right now I can still memorize which are which, but I see this becoming a problem soon. I've tried to solve this by creating stacks called things like "Shared w individuals" and "Shared globally", but that feels like a hack instead of a solution. 4) Accidental note creation in shared notebooks is happening! Our CEO accidentally created a private note in his company-shared notebook. Luckily, discoverability is so low, I was the only one that noticed. He was horrified to find out and deleted his shared notebook. It's happened to me as well, especially when scanning something to Evernote, with notes flowing to whichever notebook I have open, instead of to a default notebook. 5) Activity alerts are often frustrating People love the Activity alerts that say someone added something or edited a note they care about, but are frustrated that they can't tell what exactly was changed. 6) Skitch default notebook can't be changed to an EB notebook I use Skitch a lot at work. I like to quickly take a screenshot, make some markups, and share a URL with others via email or otherwise. The problem is that the Skitch doesn't allow changing the default notebook to be Business instead of Personal. And since moving a note from personal to business destroys the shared links, I have to remember to move the Skitch before sharing, or leave the Skitch in Personal - neither of which is convenient. 7) The Mac notebook view is a mess I mainly use a PC, but occasionally a Mac. What's great about the PC EN is that the sidebar separates Personal and Business notebooks. No such convenience with Mac. It's one long list. Ugly, stressful and confusing. That's my list of gripes about EB. I love EN and sincerely hope they keep improving their product like they have over time. I just wanted to share some thoughts from a real EB user trying to make it work for my team.
  23. what if joe has no spesific e-mail domain for work? i am the admin of business account and i send and invite to joe@gmail.com, and he gots message [Join Company] 1-- when filling form he types business e-mail the same joe@gmail.com 2 -- and push "upgrade and join" 3-- gots this message "We are unable to activate your business account at this time. Please contact your business administrator" 4 -- he would be the second user in business my credit card works well. but the business usage this month is full 2gb what is the problem
  24. Are there resources for training with Evernote Business that are industry specific? We are using the product in a small, boutique retail store, and we want to get the most out of the product. If there is any kind of training that is directed towards the retail end of the spectrum, we would definitely be interested. Is there somewhere that gives us a number of training options? Thank you!
