  1. I just discovered EN last week and have been using it to see how all the different features work. I'm seriously considering upgrading to EN Business. We have a custom t-shirt/sign business and we currently use paper forms to take orders when people come in the shop, by email or order by phone. I would love to use EN to have a saved Order Form Template that can be both hand written on with a stylus and have info typed in on as well. Then send that order form to the employees Notebook that will be processing that order. So is there a way to save a Note template that can be used for separate orders? If so, how? Also, which type of files can be saved to a note? Can a CorelDraw .cdr file be saved to a note? Thank you!!
  2. My boss shared a notebook with me to upload some receipts. Then she asked me to tag them with certain key words. But when I go to tag, it will let me type in the key word I want to use, but then it tells me that I don't have permission to tag the document? How do I get permission?
  3. Hello As the marketing responsible I safe a lot of interesting news for our company. It would be great to have a feature to publish the most important text once a week. A one page / one website overview with the 10 most interesting texts I found with a link to evernote. Ready to send it to the other employers and my boss. I know I can create a List with an index, but this looks not very teasing. Titel, first two sentences and a picture if available in a box: much better. What does everyone else think? Greetings Manuel

  5. In the last 90 days I experienced alot of problems with evernote and the solution that evernote likes is to uninstall their software and reinstall a beta version. My latest problem is my search results. I am using the windows client. When I search it only displays results from my personal notebooks. Then there is a link at the bottom of the middle column saying to click there to see the results from my business notebooks. The way this information is displayed is weird and not as nice as the results displayed from my personal notebooks.
  6. A colleague of mine shared her lab notebook with me. When I go to sync it, it saves to my personal account. First of all, why should shared business notes default to personal accounts? Second, why is there no way to change this behaviour? I don't share my personal notes, nore does anyone else with me, outside of my business account. Lastly, I can't seem to change this to a business notebook after it has synced to my personal account. I am even an admin for the business accounts, and it is not clear how to do this on the PC or on the web. I have already read this knowledge base article, and as you might guess, "Convert to Business Notebook" is not an option in the menu when accessing from my PC [5.8.13.8152 (276152) Public]. I tried logging out, rebooting, as the footnote suggested, and still do not see this option. I checked for updates and Voila! Evernote 5.9 Public (276665) was available. Upgraded, but still no option to fix this sync. Why does this knowledge base article (dated 2015-5-14) not apply? Is there a way to change the defaults of shared notes to sync with the business notes rather than the personal ones? I checked Tools>Options, but didn't see anything to this effect. Thanks.
  7. For the love of ..... So after weeding through the completely unrequested, unrequired spam EB email notifications issue, EB hits me with yet ANOTHER feature with no admin control. This time EB pulls out Reminder Notifications for every notebook that have to be individually unsubscribed by each of the users. Admins have no say or control over these reminders. Even better, a user can't opt out of all collective reminders if she/wants to. Each one of the notebooks needs to be unsubscribed to individually. Devs, please... think of the admins when pushing out these new features. Give admins some real control.
  8. Our law firm is using Evernote for attorneys to take notes. It's easy to get information into Evernote, but the problem we're having with the workflow is organizing all those notes. I'd like to see if anyone else has any ideas to improve our workflow here. Current Workflow Currently, we're using Zapier to create a new note in a notebook called Clients with a tag that corresponds to that client's project across apps. Currently, that tag looks like ClientName-###-Description. When I create new Notes, I'm defaulting them into my local, Inbox notebook. My workflow is to move the note from the Inbox notebook to the Clients notebook, and then add the tag. What I don't like is the step of having to move a note and then go into the new notebook and tag it there. It's a problem of business tags not being available in a personal notebook. It sounds minor, but it's tedious. Alternate Workflow Something that may make it easier is to eliminate the tagging, and have individual notebooks for individual client matters. I'm not sure if this will be effective, because we currently have about 2-3 new projects a month, some which use notes, others which don't. I'm experimenting with using Zapier to create a new notebook when we open a new project, but the problem is that these notebooks aren't automatically published. This workflow is useless if I have to manually go into the Evernote Admin section every time we open a new project simply to share an Evernote notebook. Is there a way I can automatically push all these notebooks to all users in the business account? Anyone have any insights here? We love the front end of getting data into Evernote, it's on the back end once it's actually there that we're having issues.
  9. We just began to automate emailing into evernote. Before we would save them via the outlook addin. The addin included the header. Emailing into evernote does not. Anyone know a way to include the header when emailing a note into evernote? Or maybe just including today's date in the subject line? Rick
  10. I just set up business account for the 'business' offices of a private school. I sent invitations to the 10 people who need to have access to our Evernote account. However, I just got a notification that a student joined our business account. How could this happen, and how can I make it so that only those that were invited can join?
  11. So I really appreciate the tag management changes in Evernote Web. However, there is a lot of unnecessary tag truncation and wasted screen space. It looks pretty silly on typical monitors.   12. The new notebook Popup asking you to choose whether new note book is business or personal does not have a copy /paste function to enter a notebook name. PLEASE fix this in the next update or is there a way I can fix same.
  13. Does Evernote business allow for real time collaboration on notes (similar to Google Docs) through the web and desktop apps? I can't find a clear answer in the help documents. Thanks!
  14. A very simple feature: to publish a notebook to the internet, is not possible in Evernote business. And we need it very much. It appears that converting or cloning a business notebook to a personal notebook (in order to publish it) is also not possible. Why?! Customer support says I may copy the notes one by one to a personal notebook. Are you serious? For us this is a reason to stop using Evernote business. Unless...one of the people in this forum has a bright solution for it. I hope Evernote developers read this forum! Thanks.
  15. Hi: I"m considering purchasing Evernote for Business and was reading through the terms of service. I was surprised to learn that the agreement says that there is nothing preventing a user from copying material from business accounts into their personal accounts/notebooks. Am I the only one wondering about such an obvious security bug? How can we put sensitive information into a business account, that is for business purposes only if users whose authorization can be someday revoked by the administrator already have the ability to take all the information and put it in a personal account to which the administrator has no access? Is there a workaround for this that is more secure?
  16. As I enter my notes into an appropriate notebook, is it possible to delete them from the list of notes as I already have them stored now in a notebook?
  17. We are just starting to use this product for work and I cannot figure out if it is possible to know once a message or notebook is created and shared, how can I know who (and when) it has been read? Perhaps this isn't a feature - any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.
  18. I work at a Registered investment advising firm. Under SEC regulations we are required to review and go through past files and messages or chat groups that may contain sensitive information. I am in the process of leaving our business account (changing jobs) and when I removed several business notebooks from my account (selecting "Leave Notebook") the notebooks do disappear from my listing, but my Evernote folder on the Mac is still over 20GB in size. I have a Windows machine and it churned away and reduced its (username).exb file by over 10GB, so is just under 10GB now, which is about right for my personal notebooks. To quickly remove it, I'll probably wind up uninstalling and reinstalling, but wanted you to know this was a bug, and a security issue. While you cannot access the data from the app, you can just go to the EN folder and every note and attachment is there in enml format, plus the native attachment formats (xlsx, pdf, png, etc.). I currently have 6.0.14 from the App Store on Yosemite.
  20. Hello I'm wondering how I could migrate from Business to Premium? I have shared notebooks for me and my wife under business notebooks. These will be gone, after i change the subscription, right? As I see it, I somehow need to put them into my personal notes and then share it with my wife. do you see any downsides in the migration? All I need is to read/write notes in to different notebooks and search through all of them. this will still be possible, right? regards Phil
  21. (Did a search, found partial answers) I'm working with a client who is considering moving their paper invoice management to a Shoeboxed+Evernote Business solution. They will send their invoices to Shoeboxed, which will then auto-import their processed receipts into an Evernote Business account for easy searching with the goal of incorporating other aspects of their business into Evernote down the line as well. Questions: 1. Do the 100K note and 250 notebook limits also apply to Evernote Business the same way it applies to personal accounts? 2. Does the business library option (which I read isn't searchable?) apply to the note/notebook limit? I want to make sure that I'm not recommending a solution that will not be able to scale well years down the line for their invoice cataloging needs.
  22. Hello. When I try to tag a note in my business account, I get the message "Must be a unique name." However, if I go to the web version, I am able to use the same tag I was trying to use in the app version. Help? Thanks, Tom

For a while now I have had an idea about holding business meetings though Evernote, using notebooks to group agenda topic notes (used by the agenda topic owner to state his or her issue, request, etc) and to store chat responses to the issue, request, etc. I work internationally and I am often trying to hold productive meetings via Skype with people in multiple time zones. I don't believe that meetings need to be face-to-face. I think that having attendees comment over a period of days - during each participants' workday - would work much better than trying to have a productive discussion when some participants are forced to join at 5 AM and others at 11PM. So far I haven't found software to do this. I think with a little tweaking Evernote for business could. Comments?
  24. Hi. The company I work for has two business accounts. One for our Chevrolet dealership and one for our Ford dealership. For some reason Evernote is having an issue charging our company credit cards. I have contact support about this and received Ticket # 1111002. I got response pretty quickly for first level support but she passed along to the Billing team and I have heard nothing for days. With our Ford Business account revoked and our Chevrolet one going to be revoked last week I need a response from the company. I tried opening another ticket and have heard nothing back. I have the number of someone in the Business Support team. I called and left him a message. Also I have heard nothing. Currently I am sitting on the live chat waiting for a representative to get on with me. I have been waiting for about 20 minutes. Oh and because if the chat is idle for too long it disconnects I have to keep typing in something so I don't lose my place in the queue. Currently my company is crippled without Evernote Business. I need to hear back from someone immediately! Please help! Has anyone else run into this problem with paying with credits card and Evernote Support?
  25. Hello together. My company and I are searching for a new way to collaborate together. Now we're trying to use Evernote Premium. But there's one feature we're missing. If we got a Notebook - shared with many others. If one edits a Note, no one gets an information about that? So how's that with Business? Is there a quick way, that everyone gets informed that something changed? Maybe a marker, notification icon etc.?
