  1. I use Web Clipper to save articles to a curated content folder for my admin to schedule and post onto social media. I usually write a comment for the social posting in the Remark section. I would like the Remark box to be able to be expanded so I can proof-read my comment before sending it to Evernote.

Hi, I have just upgraded to Evernote business from a personal premium account and am coming across a few issues with the desktop app. I have deleted a few notebooks from my admin panel on the web app, yet the notebooks (with no notes) still show on the desktop app when they shouldn't, as I deleted them from the web app. I have synced all notes and notebooks. The phone and the web app show my folder structure correctly as intended. Yet on the two computers I use the business account, there are extra folders present that were deleted in the web app. These folders that remain are actually different on each of the two desktops, the same "old" folders are different on each device yet either way they should be deleted. I also uninstalled the desktop app and reinstalled them yet the same folders showed up again. I can't delete them on the desktop app as it/s a business account. I have tried moving them to a different stack (tried to make a "to delete" stack with these folders), and they won't move - assuming because they don't actually exist. How do I fix this so it shows what is in the web app, as I intended?

I had signed up for the trial Business Evernote account from Premium- I transferred notebooks, created spaces, etc. And when the trial ran out, instead of charging me for a business account and converting my premium to business, my account was deactivated. There is no option for "Reactivate Account" when I try to log in, like help articles say there is. Any advice?
  4. Our entire office has been getting notifications that our "disk is almost full" on our Macbook Pros separately over the past month or two. During an EV chat this morning, we learned how to locate the Evernote database on our Macs. Across our 14 users, we have anywhere from 55GB to 92GB of storage being used by Evernote alone, which is at least 30% of our computer storage space. Could you please advise if there are any options to reduce the local storage size? Can any items be deleted locally and still function at full capacity? Can we localize data to a single office server? Is this something specific to Apple Macbooks? Was there a recent EN release that altered the back-up system? We have concerns about future company growth if this is our data files size already within 5 years.
  5. Hi all, Here is my problem : I have a few thousand notes written by different people in my company. Most of these notes contain no private informations, but some does, in one notebook in particular. I would like to check whether the notes that contain private info have been shared using a public URL (which would be a problem as you can imagine) and desactivate the sharing if so. I contacted the chat support, apparently my only option is to go in each note one by one and check whether the public sharing is activated or not ... it works but would require a few days of work. Any idea on how to do it easily ? 1) Is there a way to desactivate the possibility of sharing for all the notes in a particular notebook ? 2) Is there a way to show in the note list a column with the type a sharing that has been set up for each note ? 3) Is there a way to find notes that have a public URL from "all the notes" ? (using regular expression ?) Any idea welcome ! Thank you. Jerome
  6. Not sure if you're going to approve this post. However your Support system directed me to the forums to express my feedback I got a survey from Evernote earlier today about Evernote Biz. I'd like to provide feedback on the survey itself. I'm a paid user of the personal version, for context. I've been an Evernote user from the beginning and really support you guys. I got about halfway through the survey and decided it was a waste of my time: * The length of this survey is inappropriate - you're essentially asking for a favor from your users so you shouldn't expect more than 5 minutes of our time. * The exercises you pose require more thought than you should ask from a user for free. I really got fed up when I saw you asking for feedback on how to name pricing/feature tiers. To ask your own userbase that kind of question is unfair - you should either pay users for a focus group or just decide yourselves. That kind of question is definitely the purview of a product management team, not your users. Regardless - rock on Evernote. Just please be more thoughtful of your users when sending surveys.
  7. I received a marketing promotion for a free 6 months when I upgrade LITERALLY THE DAY AFTER I UPGRADED. I paid through iTunes. Will Evernote honor the marketing promotion? Does anyone know how to contact support? Another aside, it took me about 30-minutes to find this site to post comments. It may be user error but still obnoxious that no chat or email support available from Evernote, IMHO.

  9. I am an EBA Admin for four EBAs. Today I am working on two of them, 8 users on and 6 on another. They share notebooks between EBAs. I am setting up a new user. I have his temp email, and I set up his Evernote on a Windows computer beside me. On my computer, I shared the notebooks he needs to do his new job. In error, I shared a notebook with him that I should not have. From inside his Windows desktop client app, I "left" the notebook. Here's the problem: after he left the notebook, all of the notes from that notebook were found and still accessible in his Trash. With all of the notes that were ever deleted from this notebook, going back years! Worse, I was able to copy them and put them into his personal Evernote account. From my computer, I went to the admin console/Content/Notebooks. I selected the notebook, chose "show details" and clicked on the x after his name. I went back into his account on the other computer, and synced, and the notes were no longer in his Trash. Has anyone else seen this?
  10. Now that co-editing expand beyond Google Docs into other competitive products, may we request that it be considered to be implemented by Evernote Business as well? It will add great value and assist ongoing projects running on Evernote. Thanks, Dvir
  11. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED WITH EVERNOTE AS THERE IS NO DIRECT ACCESS TO INVOICE / BILLING SUPPORT. I have been invoiced for two subscriptions and I only use one!!! I accidentally created a second account when I signed up for business that has no content. I didn’t want to delete it in case I lost all my other information. I need technical and billing support.. Please someone tell me how to contact EVERNOTE!!
  12. I've had a personal account for about a year. I created a business account yesterday and now can't find my personal account. In addition, every time I try to log in to help, chat, etc., I get logged out. HELP! I need stuff from my personal account like ASAP!!!

Just wanted to say i truly loved Evernote, ( My team Primarily uses iPad Pros and thats how EN is engaged 24-7) however the slow updates to improve the quality of the iPad Pro app and lack of answering the needs on Evernote Business ( Table Implementation on the iPad Pro is beyond horrible from desktop, for Pete sake the Apple Watch can record Audio in Evernote but not play it in its own player 🤦🏽‍♂️ ) is just becoming to much to deal with. As a team we loved EN possibility, its powerful ability to have everything in one app quick and simple and easy to share with spaces in teams. But every time we attempt to go all in the shortcomings of the platforms lack of updates arise. We are big users of workchat in spaces but its so horrid and a siloed section in the app ( not floating chat and not one that has a note/space ability on the fly ) sharing a space with clients is just insanity. We are huge Apple Pencil users for note taking and wanted to share those notes on the fly while editing them no matter where we are ...Evernotes Apple Pencil implementation is probably the worst i have seen. No lined pages no forever note taking and some of the worst ink i have seen to write down notes on lines i have seen since the iPad was released. The lack of refinement is the issue. Yes i see the videos of whats coming but its been years of these problems and at best we got Dark Mode??? Penultimate become a dead product not being updated for years. Apple Watch App is broken ( cannot play audio even captured from its own player ) Spaces hasn’t had a update to how you communicate with teams ( floating chat ) making it easier to share spaces and notes Seeing updates of peers in spaces is horrible no notifications no understanding of who’s on what they did. Apple Pencil support terrible, no lined pages option and infinite page writing ability ( why differ to anything app when this can just be added just to want to sync back with Evernote) Slow , Slow, Slow Table support on the iPad Pro is the WORST. Want to create a table .....horrible want to edit a table created on the Mac..on the iPad Pro. It’s probably the worst experience I have seen and its not even scaled to the resolution of the iPad Pro when attempting to edit a table. Just a lack of interest in user experience. Evernote has been a long standing fight for wanting updates from me. Now with the new Apple Notes update paying for Evernote business is becoming a chore for my team wanting these updates primarily utilizing iPad Pros to conduct business. We did a test iteration with the current notes and when the nested folders come with iPad OS along with the support for all the above mentioned and real time iCloud editing on shared notes with the team. Apple Pencil lined paged support etc OCR support etc. We just couldn't understand why Evernote waited this long to add more value. From a long time Evernote user for years and 6 business users in spaces migrating our thousands of notes as we speak to Apple Notes i bid you farewell and please update the damn iPad Pro app for future users. Stay Classy Elephant.
  14. Hi, We bought the Business version for 2 for testing initially. During the purchase there was information that we recive two premium accounts for free. What does the issue of these two additional premium accounts look like? Are they set up separately? He joins Business accounts? Can I use an existing premium account instead of a new premium account?

  17. Больше 5 лет пользовался версией Basic. Год назад перешли на версию Бизнес для 2х сотрудников. С самого начала не понял как разделить личный Аккаунт и Премиум при настройке электронных адресов. В итоге просто зарегистрировал новый @ на Google и назначил данного пользователя, себя, администратором. Второму пользователю отправил ссылку на Премиум, а сам остался без Премиум возможностей. Сейчас продлеваем подписку на Бизнес версии. Как настроить права Администратора,уже имея личный аккаунт в Evernote?

  19. Has anyone else had issues canceling Evernote for Business? I used to love Evernote, but the aggressive sales tactics with multiple calls convinced me to try Evernote Business for my organization. It has not been a good fit. I tried to talk to someone but found that impossible. Now I am billed for an additional year for a useless product. What to do. To say that I have lost faith in a brand I loved for years is an understatement. Thoughts on how to deal with what feels like a ripoff?
  20. Evernote won't open full height. I always have to maximize it / fit to screen (height and width) manually every single time I open it. Evernote seems to ignore my fit-to-screen preferences. I noted it a few months ago but only now I'm reporting the bug. Is this happening only to me?
  21. I'm trying to go paperless by scanning my business cards, documents, and receipts into Evernote (or transferring the already made PDFs into Evernote). Tagging seems like a great way to find these items without having to create an overly complex Notebook structure. However, I've noted lately that a lot of my tags are getting deleted on their own, forcing me to go over and re-add tags throughout my account ....over-and-over. Why is this happening? Does this have to do with how my account is set up to synchronize with Evernote? What option do I need to change so that tags don't get automatically deleted? I only want them deleted if done so manually. I did install Evernote into two other devices recently - an Android device and a second Windows computer. I always synchronize my files on my main computer before closing Evernote, but maybe the tags were deleted because after signing into the Android device or a second Windows computer, it didn't finish synchronizing, causing a problem?!?! I really want to trust Evernote's system, but I don't want to get down the rabbit hole too much if can't trust the back bone of how my files are organized to just go away on a whim! All help would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: The tags themselves still show up in my Tags section- it's just some of the notes have lost their respective tags. So all the business cards I have scanned, for example, are still in a notebook; However, random notes are missing the respective contact name and/or business name that corresponds with the business card note. *sigh*
  22. Hi I need help. I want to downgrade immediately from BUSINESS to PREMIUM, but cannot for the life of me get any support from Evernote. What's going on??? I've cancelled my on-going payment to Business, but want an immediate downgrade. I also want to ensure that nothing gets deleted during the downgrade. I try and call support, but as soon as I click the button, I get logged out..... Surely somebody from Evernote can help with this??? Hopefully there's someone helpful out there who can help with this. Thanks David G

  24. I've been using Evernote for years. For a long time I had only a Premium Personal account. Then I convinced a company I was working with to try out Evernote Business, which they did, and now have all their employees on board with it. So now I have a business+personal account with Evernote. When we first did this, all notebooks were more or less in the same view, with business notebooks marked as "business". Then, Evernote rolled out the segregated context-view that completely isolates business from personal notes/notebooks. This change has been nothing but a headache for me. Evernote has never had the most fluid UX. It has always felt a little clunky/cluttered/bloated, but you could get used to it after using it for years as I have. The business/personal context isolation has added another full layer of bloat. A few examples: Command+N to add a quick note? Better hope you're in the right context, or that personal thing you jot down just went into your shared Business folder. (this happens to me ALL THE TIME!) before the segregation, I could have ALL new notes go to an Inbox, and then move them to business notebooks as I like Using the menu helper quick note and/or the web clipper? Same problem: no way of knowing where the note is going to end up unless you check with the Evernote app first, which defeats the purpose of the menu helper. Need to switch to a notebook REAL FAST because you're on a call and need to reference something on the fly? Command+J to switch, type the first few letters of the notebook, and WHOOPS that's a personal notebook and I'm currently in the Business context. Now I need to remember that arthritic keyboard shortcut to switch to Personal, then Command+J to get the notebook, and ***** I forgot what it was I was looking for in the first place. Force press to add quick note on iOS? Your guess is as good as mine as to where it's going to end up. Need to check a note REAL QUICK while talking to someone in a conference and "Hey I wrote it down, hold on just a sec" .. pull out phone tap Evernote , back out of random note currently in display, tap notes, scroll, can't find it ok tap search, type in something in the note, "NO RESULTS", oh ***** it's because I'm in Personal and that note was in Business, ok umm, tap Account, tap Personal account, tap search again, type the same query all over, oooh there it is, now what was I talking about again?, oh they left and talking to someone else now. Basically everything in Evernote suddenly became a MINIMUM 2-step process: select the context (wait which context was that again?), then do whatever it was you were doing, all while trying to remember what you're ACTUALLY working on. By the way, I use Evernote because I want it to SUPPORT my work, not BECOME my work — I need to be able to take notes and query notes FAST, and without having to make some kind of arbitrary context-switch in my head in the process. FIX IT! I've been whining about this to @evernote and @evernotehelps on Twitter for a while and have been mostly ignored.
  25. I had decided to make the jump from premium to business and I am kind of shocked by the fundamental changes that have been made and a little disappointed thus far. My main concern is that there is no tag hierarchy: this was a fundamental to my method of organizing documents. now it seems I'll have to think of something different? It seems strange to not allow such a useful feature in the business account.
