  1. Authentication does not work. I have the biometric scanner to authorize before I get to my notes, but when I press cancel it open them, not show the keypad to enter a passcode. This only happen when I start the application, but when the application is open and I go to another application and get back it works perfectly
  2. Sharing from Netflix is not working with newest version. It appears as all saved on the normal way with confirmation that it is saved but it does't appear on andoid, nor web, windows
  3. Is there anyone who has installed the new version on Android and been using it? It hasn't rolled out to me yet, and I've seen all sorts of horror stories about the Windows version. But since most of those concern the loss of features that were never in the Android app in the first place, I'm not sure they're relevant. So how is v. 10 working for you on Android? Should I be puppy dog excited or afraid, very afraid?
  4. Hi, I am using Evernote 10 for Android and capturing notes is extremely slow. (For example from the Feedly application) Regards!
  5. How can I get back the old version of Android? It takes time to open the app, but now I noticed that I even could not share a pdf doc to EN. I have to send by email first and then from my laptop to EN. Ridiculous. Incredible how EN staff can kill their own product.

  7. I was delighted to learn that Google Assistant now works directly in some Android apps, including Evernote. You can create a note in Evernote simply by by telling Google Assistant "Create a note xyz," where xyz is the note. (If you have more than one note-taking app on your phone, you may need to say, "Take a note in Evernote xyz.")
  8. All three existing view like list view, card view and large card view does not go well with mobile viewing. It does not show full title and also it does not give overview of content. It would be far better if for mobile another view like "magazine view" or full screen card view can be implemented. I use feedly.. it gives very much what should be on mobile default view.
  9. It looks like Android is the last in this roll-out You might want to disable auto-update There are a few issues/bugs being worked om
  10. In a blog post yesterday called "Unlocking Evernote's Future," Ian Small announced the release of the updated Evernote for iOS. (Such an announcement has also been at the top of the forum screens.) I took a look at the featured updates for iOS, and while the navigation looks like simply an upgrade to match the Android app, the renewed editor looks like it will incorporate many of the features Android users have been requesting, including control over fonts and colors, headers, etc. In his blog post, Small also says, "Soon, we’ll bring the new app experience to our Windows, Mac, and Android users, rolling out to each platform as final testing rises to meet our expectations." So there's something to look forward to, hopefully in the fairly near future. The post is well worth reading, and not just for iOS users. Small acknowledges the delays in development and encountering problems they didn't know they had. But he also says, "We’re not stopping there, because we’ve worked too hard to allow these shiny new apps to stagnate. You can look forward to a new era of innovation at Evernote, and we’re excited about what the next year will bring." I'm not expecting all of this to spring forth next week, but it looks like the coming months could be very interesting for Evernote.
  11. i never use this but it takes the 3 most prominent spaces at the top.
  12. Dear Evernote, I've been a premium user for quite a while, and I use Evernote quite extensively to sort my work notes. I use it on android devices - samsung tablet and samsung note. Recently I was testing new ipads pro we might be getting from work and I was shocked. Why are we get a secondary experience on android?! Handwriting has a significant delay(lag) even on samsung note 10, palm rejection is nonexisting and keyboard doesn't disaper when I'm adding a handwritten note. Not to mention no s-pen support -which I'm not sure is your fault. Ipad experience is miles ahead, at least when it comes to handwriting. I know there is fewer devices to optimize for when it comes to Apple products but Android version of handwriting feels like it was made for those super old tablets with resistive touch screens and ghastly rubber styluses.. (Honestly It's not that terrible, just after having short apple experience I'm quite disappointed) Best regards, MO
  13. Hi all, I do a lot of pen notes to my Tab S6. At the moment I take the meeting notes in onenote/s note export as PDF, then either email to evernote, or attach them. The inbuilt pen input is ok, but I like to set up my agenda/titles using the keyboard, have ruled lines etc then pen after for the meeting notes, if that makes sense. I know there used to be an app for IOS that used to integrate with Evernote, but is there one for android? Thanks Kev.
  14. Hi all, When I email to Evernote it seems to stick them in any notebook and not the default, no matter what I put as a subject. I have renamed the default to 00INBOX, but set this as default but still no go. Any ideas? Thanks
  15. I noticed that every time I edit a Note, it keeps another instance of that note with the most recent edit I made. It's as if seeing a bunch of versions of edit I made from the first time I created the note to the last edit I made.
  16. The note style formatting bar is gone and I cannot get it back. I'm using Evernote 8.13.2 on an Android 8.0.0 system that I've been using Evernote on for *YEARS*. How do I get it back? Focus is on the note content, text, not the title.
  17. Often when I sync Evernote on my Android phone it pops up a little message to say it failed to "send" a specific note - always the same one, a recipe note I no longer have for more than a year. The sync works fine. The message does not appear in iOS, Windows, Mac or any Web browser. Is there any way to stop it appearing? It's not a major problem but it looks daft.
  18. I am a college student but also a disabled vet and I use Evernote to record my lectures for reference later. There have been many times that I have wanted to take a photo of the board or screen while recording. Sadly, if you need to access any other function on your phone or within Evernote the audio automatically cancels. This is a huge problem from me and I don't understand why it should be this way. I could be using any voice recording ap but I wanted to be able to keep all of my school related work centralized in one place and accessible from both of my computers as well as my phone. I pay for Evernote for this reason and yet such a simple thing is inaccessible.
  19. I'm reporting this post to Evernote myself to make sure they're OK with me sharing the information, and I'll tell you up front that I haven't made this work yet; but I figure that if anyone is interested (and the post is still here in a couple of days) a problem shared is a problem that may get sorted quicker. First, the good news. It seems that it may be possible to increase the amount of internal storage available to unrooted Androids running 6.0+. It's NOT working for me yet, but here's the deal - I saw a reference in a Linux group to a snazzy app called SSHelper being able to access SD cards like internal memory. It depends on your Android version and the device manufacturer, and requires some mid-to higher-level tech skills - possibly ones better than mine, because I didn't achieve this yet! 😕 WARNING If you're not very sure what you are doing with this - beware: the author makes the point very strongly that mistakes can result in your device becoming bricked: an unresponsive doorstop useful only in windy weather. If you decide to read on, it is at your Own Risk. (-And there's a LOT here!!) The alleged method requires SSHelper to be installed and active on your device, which should also be in Developer Mode and USB-linked to a (Windows or Linux) computer with some "Android Debug Bridge" software installed. I also installed WinSCP and ADB software on my Windows laptop. All these apps are free, and the main author and developer here has a solid record of mainstream software development, so mistakes apart this appears to be a useful hack. As a useful side-effect I now have full wifi access to the SD card, which is nice.. Now: the catch(es) SSHelper's original page waxes lyrical about Google / Samsung's attitude to internal vs external storage, but describes a method whereby converting an SD card wholly or partially (not recommended) to dedicated internal storage, the device can be tricked persuaded to 'see' the SD card as valid storage, and winds up with - " Check the amount of available storage space on your device — it should be larger by the size of the private allocation you just made." BUT the update page includes the comment "An unsolved but serious problem in the Android ecosystem is access to external storage, which at the time of writing is somewhere between difficult and impossible (this topic is fully addressed in the main documentation section above). To me this is the single most glaring deficiency in the present Android environment." - which to me sounds like all this is not going to work... The author's instructions are not exactly detailed - he says "Open a terminal session in the directory containing the ADB executable (named "adb.exe" on Windows and "adb" on Linux)." without specifying what terminal to use. I tried starting ADB directly - no. Used WinSCP and tried to get to the ADB folder on my hard drive... nope. Then I started web searching and found https://android.gadgethacks.com/how-to/make-adb-fastboot-work-any-folder-windows-0177198/ which seems not to use a terminal session at all... At which point I decided I'd been distracted too long by shiny new toys and need to do some work. So I documented (and Evernoted) all of this to act as a reminder and reference for my holiday-soaked brain for later when I can spare more time* - and also a potential post in the Forums for all you happy and much smarter folks who might, out of the kindness of your hearts, tell me how to make this darn thing work!!! * the flashback image of a screen door blowing back and forth banging against a small inert bricked tablet has also been in my mind... Thanks (and congratulations) if you made it this far - if anyone gets this to work, please post an "idiot's guide" level instruction sheet for all us humble mortals out here! I am definitely not worthy... 😌 For: SSHelper and WinSCP (Windows & Linux) installation - see https://arachnoid.com/android/SSHelper/ - be sure to read this section: https://arachnoid.com/android/SSHelper/#x_new_version_update and check the heading "External Storage Access" on the main page Device Developer Mode - see your device user guide or do a web search ADB software - beware: the link on SSHelper's page goes to v23 of the software. It's now up to v29 which is available here (I advised SSHelper) - https://dl.google.com/android/repository/platform-tools-latest-windows.zip
  20. Check out the video recently announced in the forums and posted here: A number of highly requested features are in the process of being implemented--not ready for release yet, as I understand it, but approaching beta. They include to-do lists with strikethrough, styles, text colors, highlight colors--a lot of the things that are already present in the beta Web editor. Plus better tag management and cross-platform consistency.
  21. Hi folks, We are now slowly rolling out Evernote for Android 8.12 to our users. If you haven't seen the update in the Google Play Store yet, you will see it coming in the next few days. Fixed: The Create Notebook dialog and keyboard no longer disappear when you rotate your device while using dark theme. When you try to change settings from the 4x2 widget, the passcode lock screen no longer appears twice. Enjoy and please let us know if you have feedback.
  22. After a recent malware scare, the document scanning app CamScanner has been pulled from the Play store. If you have a version installed on your Android device, you might want to uninstall it at least temporarily and look into this a bit further. Other versions of the app are - apparently- safe. See this external post for more details - https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/08/28/camscanner-play-store-malware/
  23. Hello Everyone, We just finished rolling out our 8.11 update to 100% of our Android customers. Improved: - We've spiffed up search to help you find exactly what you’re looking for. Fixed: - The Saved Search shortcut in the home screen was rudely ignoring tag wildcards. We gave it a stern talking-to and it’s behaving itself now. - When you opened a note from search results, text highlighting would sometimes disappear, but that’s a thing of the past. - We made some security updates because, well, it's important. And it feels good.
  24. Don't know when this sneaked out, but I wasn't aware until just now that https://www.cnet.com/how-to/turn-a-photo-of-data-into-a-microsoft-excel-spreadsheet/ Interesting... 🤔
