  1. I want my notes to be auto titled with the preview of the note... but not of a calendar event or the location... but why I can't turn this off??? I used to be able. to. block the calendar event and still have autotitle but now it seems I can't and it's driving me insane :'0 is there something I am missing? what is everyone else doing?
  2. I've been asking for this or supporting other people's requests for such a feature, on and off for the last couple of years. Basically what I'd like to see is a way to see just the tags that belong to a selection of notes. So if I choose a notebook, then I'd like to be able to open the list of tags and just see a list of tags that applies to the notes in my open notebook. By choosing a notebook i have narrowed down my list of notes. It is useless for me to see tags which dont have any notes in them. The list of tags should reflect that fact that i am viewing a subset of my notes. Without such a feature the tags feature is almost worthless to me on my android device. It is alright if you are doing a specific search for something, but useless as a list for browsing because it is always an unwieldy list and its impossible to make it any smaller. Without such a feature the only thing that I can think of to bring order to my notes is to create a million sub-notebooks for all of my notebooks, which would be kind of an old school way of doing things. Please Evernote developers, allow us to narrow down our list tags as we are also narrowing down our list of notes. It makes so much more sense.
  3. I have no idea what happened to my dream book while I found the unlocked phone in my pocket. My text of ~12,000 symbols accumulated over 2 years was singled out, replaced by a stuck symbol, underlined, highlighted with a marker and crossed out. I upgraded to the premium version and got into the web version of the new clean account without my notes. It was some kind of mistake, because I logged into an existing account, I canceled the subscription, so that money was not written off from the wrong account and re-entered into the system. My notes have appeared, and the subscription has ceased to be active. What was it? It turned out the account was correct, I put a premium to roll back the changes in my dream book, and eventually I saw an empty canvas of notes, as if a new account had been created and I did not have those notes. No warning that the account is loading the web version of the client for so long, although I improved the program from the computer, the post also wrote about creating a new account, not improving the CURRENT. Now what? It remains only to pay for this awkward mistake, instead of the missing impeccable improved version by mistake, misleading the former user, the future unleashed as new at registration? I enclose you logs with my Android and PC after watching the movie, because I do not know exactly how it happened and I ask to help restore it Windows 6.11.2.7027_20180601.log Android logs.log
  4. I recently upgraded to premium because I needed to retrieve some information off a note I had been working on but accidently closed out. But when I click on the little i by the note I don't have any option to view note history. I've tried like twenty different notes and none of them have that option. I've updated evernote, restarted my computer. It has only been about eight hours since I got premium so I thought it might be a time thing but I can use every other feature of premium. That is the whole reason I bought premium so it is pretty frustrating not able to use note history. Is there something I'm doing wrong? ... nevermind I figured it out, please delete this mods.
  5. If I go to the desktop app I can type in my pass phrase and my encrypted notes are viewable but on my Android the encrypted note does not open and the "Decrypt selection" windows pops back. I have reinstalled Evernote on my phone. Any other suggestions?
  6. I was take notes on something updating it regularly over two days. I went to it today and it there but blank. I do not have premium account status? Can't figure out what happened to the notes. I'd like to go back to the history notes. If I upgrade my account will the notes be there?
  7. I really like using EN, but the Android Widget is not as useful. For a comparison, I really like Google Keep Widget style.
  8. Please allow additional flexibility with the sort notes feature. Today it always sorts newest to oldest. Please allow it to sort oldest to newest. Thank you.
  9. Samsung Galaxy S7 anker bluetooth keyboard Issue: Upon pressing space, the cursor will jump into the next line. Upon typing words, the word can instantly be broken like: wo rd The keyboard is unusable but works in all other applications. Love evernote but this is a deal breaker, I want to be able to type with a keyboard. Also, are we not able to submit tickets? there isn't a contact email support available as far as I can see. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
  10. Why on earth isn't there the option of making our notes with auto title.... without it being interrupted with Calendar events or Location...??!!!! like just auto title, so it's a little preview of the note as it mostly does, unless you have a calender event which then ruins the note title and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn this off, otherwise the notes are all Untitled Notes..... can't there just be AUTO TITLE without calender or location in the title? I am. glad to have the gps as part of the note but not the note saying 'Note from....' every time!!!! maybe this is already a discussion, but it hasn't been resolved, I really can't understand how people manage to put up with this? is there another trick to having just a regular auto title function???? and why isn't it more simple to activate
  11. Hi all, I have recently bought a Windows Surface tables and started to use Evernote in Surface and found that I can not edit the ink notes in my old Android Samsung Tablet. They seem to be using a different format. The same behaviour happens the other way around. An Android ink note cannot be edited in Surface. Is it supposed to be like that? I would be a pitty, one would expect that an Evernote app should be able to read and edit its own files regardless of the platform. Thanks. Carlos, from Madrid
  12. I have key words, people names, and note links identified with (), [], or <> and color and, of course, whatever the label is. i.e. (Reading News) Defect Task20170612-01 (Unlocatable Ticket Project) [Import Unlocatable INTO (eAxLocates) and Process] [eAM menu]: #0110 Add (NewServices)/[New Service Lines] to the [Assets Active During Dates] Section. I have a cheat sheet where I copy/paste these links or identifiers. On the computer, this is managed fairly well. On the phone this is done with more difficulty, but at least I have a pen with the phone. With the tablet, there is only a fat finger where I bite my tongue and squint with one eye as I attempt to select my link or identifier accurately. Be nice if I could initiate pop up with a list of identifiers, select, and go.
  13. I just purchased the annotate tool by skitch for PDFs on Google drive. Using on my OnePlus 3 android. When I annotate I select done but the annotations don't save. Or if they do elsewhere I don't know where to find them. Hope someone can help.
  14. Occasionally I try to make some text bold and it refuses. I have to come out of the note and go back in to solve. Any ideas why? Thanks Rick
  15. I have been using Evernote for years, but just got a new phone and don't see a signin option in the Evernote app. There are only options to signup for a new account. How can I signin to my existing old account? I don't want to create a new one.
  16. I have a Pixel 2 running Android 8.1.0 and Evernote 7.17.1. I have put a widget on my homescreen which shows my shortcuts. The idea is I can click at any time onto a shortcut link and go to that note. The problem is that when I tap on the link most of the time, nothing happens. If I tap on the settings cog or hit a button to create a new note then Evernote will open and perform the action. Only after I have done this will the shortcut links work again back on the homescreen. It appears the buttons only work if Evernote is open in the background. This is annoying since it defeats the purpose of having a widget with fast direct access to a shortcut or note. Can anyone else see this behaviour? Thanks.
  17. That you can very quickly alienate your subscribers when you constantly ask them "Did you know? Try it! Well I didn't bother trying it, I just quit. I went in and thought I disabled it but no, next time it's there again. I'm heading back a version just because of this stupid "Did you know?" every single time I try to do anything. Update: Well, this "Did you know?" has now rendered one of my devices totally useless. It's was a device that rarely was within range of Wi-Fi so it had everything "offline." Well it's sure offline now. Data all gone. Device useless. It would take months to reload everything. Am I having fun yet?
  18. Hello I´d love to have the possibility to create a task or reminder that is recurrent on several time basis eg. daily, weekly, monthly, yearly...etc Such feature exists in calendar apps such as google calendar or microsoft outlook Therefore I don´t need to create same task with different reminders or to reschedule the note or task to a future date - I often forget to do it for next month, for example. It could be a recurrent task once the actual task is marked completed - then Evernote creates a new task with the reminder rule set previously Thanks
  19. Can't seem to type properly in evernote with my SwiftKey keyboard. When I type edit an existing piece of text, it will auto correct to show the word with the first half shown twice. (example. Decidecisons). If I correct this and try to press enter after the next text I type, the auto correct seems to think I'm adding to the previous word. I thought this was just a keyboard problem, but evernote is the only app that this is happening in.
  20. Hi. Few minutes ago I was opening a note in order to share it. The Android app says wasn't possible without connection. I connected the tablet to wifi e tried again. It says I haven't permission to share the note and ask to the owner. But there is any other user for this app or the tablet! Then I look for the note again, but it was lost. Evernote web and the basket already checked. How can I find my note? 21. Related to this post below I share the concerns about unsolicited and intrusive digging into photos by Evernote or any other app. However my query is a reverse of this; effectively to "collect photos" on demand. When I want it to do so on a specific photo, not when Evernote thinks it should after rummaging through all your photos. I can add a photo to a note from the phone's photo roll but the problem is I cannot find a way to apply the image cleanup that Evernote does automatically when you capture a document from camera directly. Clearly the "collect documents" invokes this function but that seems to be either on (Evernote rifles through your photos unbidden) or off (you don't get the option to "collect" specific photos at all) Say you were in a hurry and snapped a pic using camera as you didn't have time or didn't think to open Evernote and capture a document. Any ideas?
  22. I need to be able to print on Android.
  23. Nexus 6, Android 6.0.1, Evernote 7.8.2. I use a Passcode to provide a minimal level of security for all my notes. However, when I go to the 'recent apps' screen, Evernote will happily display a mini copy of whatever note was open when I last used it. This opens a vulnerability for my information. No, 99% of the time it's not going to reveal necessarily private info that would be bad if it were shared, but if I've bothered to set up a passcode in evernote so that any random person who might gain access to my phone will have at least that blocking their access, then it defeats the point of that passcode if what I've recently viewed is displayed clearly on the recent apps screen. It should obfuscate the text in the recent apps screen.

  25. Hi Everyone, I don't really understand Evernote. I make a list of things I must do and then delete the list but I didn't know that everything went into trash (doh). so, I found everything in the trash but I can't empty the trash. When I googled that I read that I just click the 3 dots on the top at the right, but when I do that it just gives me the option to "Restore Note. Would someone please tell me how to empty the trash. Also is there a tutorial for Evernote, I am just not understanding it. Many thanks. joanelaine
