  1. Just installed Evernote on my Motorola Droid. Voice notes playback at less than half speed. My normal alto voice sounds like a deep bass. All other voice functions on my phone work fine. The playback is also slowed down when the note is synced to my Mac. Is this a known issues with the Evernote client?
  2. Creating notes on Android works fine, including using non-ASCII characters. However, I have yet to successfully update a note from the Android client. This is repeatable: Create a new text note with a single tag. Wait for "upload complete". Search for that tag, select created note. Edit note. Hit Save. I am returned to the display of the note, without my updates. No changes are listed on the client or server, though the update time on the note is a minute later than the created time. I'm using a T-Mobile G1, firmware version 1.6, kernel version 2.6.29-00479-g3c7df37 android-build@apa26 #19, build number DRC83

  5. I'd appreciate the ability to use encryption on the android. Thanks.
  6. I am noting that when I create a list on my PC, I am not given an "edit" option when I want to make changes to that list from my Droid. The only option is "append." However, when I create the list directly on the Droid, I have editing capabilities. Am I missing something? Why can't I edit lists made on my PC on my Droid?
  7. Hi, I'm a new user. On the droid, search from the EN home page seems to work fine. Confused because I 1st used search after I was in: menu>notes>menu>new search -- after entering a search argument - cant see how to start search. Additionally, I don't recall how I got to download the 3.5 version, but wanted to send a link to it, but could not find link on the EN web site. TIA
  8. Okay... maybe this is a dumb question but how do I edit a note? I have seen discussion of editing but all I see is an "Append" option. Would love to be able to edit. Thanks
  9. I open the Evernote app, select “Screenshot”, the camera view opens. But then nothing happens no matter which button I press. Running version 1.1b2 (55505).
  10. The camera use in evernote is very limited since it will not focus like the stock camera app does. I can't take pictures of text and have it legible.
  11. I just installed the newest update. What has changed since the last one? Thanks.

  13. I was about to install Evernote but I noticed it accesses my contact data. I wanted to know what Evernote does with it. Thanks.
  14. Not sure if this is a bug or not, but Evernote does not recognize a 7 digit (local) number as a phone number (i.e. 555-1212). It does however recognize 10 digit numbers as such (i.e. 205-555-1212). Can a 7 digit phone number be recognized as such? Thanks John
  15. In settings, what difference does it make if I check use network? I can tell what it will do if I check Use GPS, but what is the difference if I check use network?
  16. After using Evernote for a while, and it caches the images in my notes, the "Albums" app fills up with many, many albums filled with these cached images: I actually only have 3 or 4 albums of photos taken with my phone, so this is kind of a hassle passing through all of these cached image albums in order to find the genuine photos. Does anyone know of a way to keep the Evernote cached images folder out of the "Albums" app?
  17. Upon launching Evernote on my Moto Droid, I received notification of an update. I download and install as with all previous betas and RCs (1.1RC3 current installed version), but v1.1.5 fails to install.
  18. When I start up Evernote on my G1, it tells me there is a new update. I tell it to install. It downloads the .apk, and then when the install runs, it says that it cannot be installed on this device. Just thought you would want to know.
  19. I signed up for an evernote account a year ago, but much to my dismay there was no support for android. I uninstalled the desktop app and went on with my life. No phone support means the service is useless to me. Then, today, as I was complaining to my brother (also an Android user, as are most of my friends) about evernote's lack of support for what is now the second most popular smartphone OS, despite their support for dead-ends like Windows Mobile and Palm Pre. When looking for some information about my argument, I came across the announcement for Evernote android beta. Within an hour I had purchased a year subscription.
  20. When selecting snapshot - the 'old' android camera UI pops up which doesn't seem to work with the droid. Pressing the dedicated camera button (hardware) on the droid does nothing and tapping the camera icon on the UI acts like it's taking a snap - but nothing happens after that.
  21. Users who are having trouble updating from 1.1RC3 will need to uninstall the application and download it again from: To uninstall an application. To go your home screen Select Menu -> Setting ->Applications -> Manage applications Scroll down and select Evernote press Uninstall then OK You can download a new version at: http://s.evernote.com/getandroid
  22. I notice Android Evernote does not list empty notebooks. I have a couple notebooks that are sometimes empty (@Inbox, Gift Ideas, etc.). It would be nice if I could still add notes to these notebooks. Even better - a quick note that is automatically appended to your default notebook. e.g., I could tap the Evernote icon, followed by Quick Note, which is then automatically appended to @Inbox, saving me the trouble of searching through and selecting the default notebook!
  23. I am running the latest Evernote RC on a Moto Droid (running 2.01 OS). When accessing my "recent notes" (Evernote/recent notes) there is a noticeable delay in getting the list of available notes to populate on my device screen. There is then a secondary delay in the opening a specific note. This may be by design(??) if the Evernote client is accessing the notebook(s) off the web ... and I guess suggesting that a copy of the notes/data do not reside on the device... In comparison, accessing the same information in a different note app - 3banana (I have identical note / data set in both Evernote and 3banana) , is immediate. So my question - this is delay typical? is it a function of the beta? Thanks John
  24. In my great search for the best note taking application that syncs between my droid and my windows platform, came across this. Nice job, guys! I'm brand new to Evernote, so I apologize if these are newbie questions. I downloaded both the windows desktop beta and the latest android beta. Everthing was quite intuitive for the UI. Good job. So far, my main comments are: - The voice recorder save the audio file in the note as a .amr file. Is it possible to add the functionality that converts it to something more readily accessible when synced on the desktop? Or, can you suggest the right tool to play the file on the desktop, or perhaps consider building in a player right into the evernote windows desktop software? - I took a picture in "portrait" mode (as opposed to "landscape") It did not auto rotate the picture. So, when I synced it to my desktop, it was not rotated correctly. Wondering if I did something wrong? - In the android app, when I create a new note, I see the "notebook" option. It would be nice to have a prompt at the bottom of the list that let me create a new notebook if I wanted to right on the fly. Other than that, no immediate issues. As an aside, I was hoping for a Windows Vista/7 desktop gadget that would allow me to readily access my text-based notes right from the desktop, but that is more appropriate for your other forum. Thank you very much! -Brian
  25. Hey folks - Here's another quick update for the 1.1 version of Android. It's fixed crashing problems when the application runs out of memory. It also improves switching between full screen and scaled notes. http://s.evernote.com/androidbeta
